Absolute horrific food...I honestly can't believe you have lasted so long in crammond,then there is the minimum £15 to use card payment,totally illegal. Reported to trading standards they were very happy to know of this...expect a knock/call.

This is my local go to takeaway. Been ordering from here for years. I usually order the chilli shredded beef, egg fried rice, BBQ ribs and chicken satay. All good. Sure I’ve had the odd “ok” meals, but overall very happy.

This takeaway charges a fee to pay for a meal by credit card if it is under £10. This was made illegal by the Goverment several years ago. Trading Standards have been informed.

I had Szechuan chicken here and it was really good. It was way above and beyond any other Chinese takeaway dish I've had. Really good depth of flavour, felt like a restaurant dish. Tried ordering the same at various places since but others seem very bland in comparison. Recommended.

Surprised Royal Dynasty only has 3.5 ⭐s... Used a couple of times now and always really friendly, foods very tasty and it's a reasonable price. Can't ask for more really! Will use again and again :)

I have tried lots of Chinese food outlets, and most of them are a hit or a miss. You always strive to stay with one and boast how good they are, then suddenly it gets bad and then you change to another. Well Royal Dynasty is a hit and definitely not the miss. There food is really good and consistent. You can even customise the dishes on how hot or mild you wand them. Great food, Great service. Located in the Barnton Area of Edinburgh.

No matter how good the food, a take away with delivery service is a time bound product; 'I'm hungry, let's order food'. Ordered today with Just Eat and was given an estimated 40-45 minute time which was on the higher end of the options, but acceptable, and made for 8:45-8:50. Thought I'd just check what the expected time was and was greeted on the app of 9:10-9:30, a fair difference. I called up to find out if this was actually the real time, was told it was and asked to cancel but was told they couldn't and I had to do it on the app. She then slammed the phone down, presumably to go and spit in my dinner. I finally managed to find the bit of the app that allowed me to cancel and it says I could cancel but would still be charged because they'd started preparing my food. Really? An hour before delivery they've started cooking my dinner? Absolute nonsense. A simple 'sorry sir, we've had a rush, the driver can't get there for a bit, would you like us to cancel?' would have made the world of difference. Now I can't see myself ever ordering from here before and will of course mention this experience to the others I know who use it. Reasonable food but appallingly slow delivery times and terrible service. Avoid.

Extremely rude owner. I order the same few items every time, but she provided the wrong item and claimed it was what was ordered. Explained we always order the same items and did not change anything this time. Claimed we were lying and refused refund.

We have used in yhe past and the food has been okay. However the meal tonight was poor egg fried rice have not found a bit egg yet! Battered chicken you could hardly cut through very poor wont use again.

Terrible customer service!! Received one wrong item, they would not deliver the right item so had to go back out again to collect, the replaced item was a meat dish but it was full of vegetables. Received no apology and on top of that they asked for the wrong item back and rummaged in the container not sure what they were looking for!

We used to live local to this takeaway and loved it. The take away local to us now is pretty bleak so we happily take the jont along.

Overpriced to the £4.50 for chips and curry sauce that is joke and 3 spring rolls for £4

The worse place I ever try the chips was very bad plus the cost was high £2.55 quality very bad u could get better food out of any fish n chips shop plus cost be low to and way thay look at be make me feel so uncomfortable I will not recommend place to no one I will so sick on bus going back to town really stay away from this place it really bad the chips from my school was so much better that how bad it is really not kind you on people 😢 😕 😞

Waited nearly 2 hours for my food then watched from the window as the delivery driver dropped my food then still continued to come to my door with it I had to call up the shop to complain and they said it would take another hour and half to 2 hours to deliver won’t be using them again there was dirt in the bag along with burst open tubs of rice and curry

Chicken chow mein wi extra roast pork is very good!

I had the chicken chow main & salt& chilli chips were amazing!! My mum had special curry and say it was delicious. Definitely will be ordering again soon! Thanks for fantastic food!

Very average. Not much to recommend it and certainly not the woman behind the counter. No chat, barely looks at you, only interest is the money. I have seen her shopping in the reduced food section of the Scotmid next door, meats, vegetables etc. in her basket. Obviously that is for her own use though. Yeah.

Very uncooked chicken. Don't know why I've continued to order food from them as we've been let done previously. I'm afraid this will be our last order!

Awful service! Order tonight and it took ages to come. When order eventually arrived they sent sweet and sour chicken instead of chicken in pekin sauce. Rather than acknowledge the mistake and try to rectify it they told me I was wrong and that’s how they make it. They then perceeded to quiz us as to what colour the sauce was and what veg was in it rather than just sort out the mistake. It was quite clearly the wrong item and situation could have been rectified easily but instead the member of staff was rude and eventually just ok goodbye and hung up the phone! Will be the first and last time we order from there!

Used this takeaway twice in the past month and have not been disappointed with the quality or portion size of the food i ordered.

Spot on. Lady serving was really cool and the big bloke through in the kitchen banging about seemed to know his stuff. Both of the dishes I ordered were well cooked with plenty of meat and above average complex flavours on both counts. Would definitely come back if i was in the area. I wish it was cheaper but I enjoyed all of the food. Great tasty food that made me smile. Cheers.

Been getting carryout and deliveries for years here. No issues normally. Had a really poor curry, so much so it was binned. Disappointing as normally reliable.

Piece of plastic in my soup, called to advise and they said they wouldn’t refund me unless I drove all the way back to the shop to show it. I offered to send a picture to them as this wasn’t my fault and didn’t feel I should have to drive 30 mins back for a small refund. Won’t be back. Royal dyNASTY.

Tasty Chinese food. Wouldn’t call it authentic though. Portions were extremely generous. Ordered the 5 people package but it was enough to feed maybe 8-9 of us. Spring rolls were really nice. Ribs were also good and prawns were nice and fresh.

I usually get chips, egg fried rice, and barbecue sauce in same dish. Never ordered from them before but thought I would and I'm glad I did. Price is reasonable. Really really really really lovely. Plz try. Plus I've now had every night for 5 days. Really look forward to my dinner. That's how nice they are... TRUST ME....

Called at 17:55 , first thing l was told is to hold......l waited & waited.......l could hear someone else on another call....eventually approx 5mins later the same person that told me to wait took my order.....2 main courses....l was told it would take an hr. I accepted this even though l was approx 5mins away for delivery. Nearly 2hrs later l called, told the driver was on his way. I tried to explain l was told an hr for delivery, and it was nearly 2 hrs however they hung up on me. When l eventually received my delivery, it was cold!!!! I won't be using this place again. Service is terrible!!!!

Consistently good food and friendly service. Highly recommend trying the shredded chicken in satay sauce. Have used for 7+ years and wouldn’t order Chinese food from anywhere else.

Friendly prompt service and the food is delicious

So I called and as per the female answered the phone and abruptly asked me to wait as u could hear her serving at the Desk. The gentleman is much more decent and mannerable but this ladies attitude is deplorable! She seemed distracted and I asked for delivery and she quoted 15 mins which I thought was very fast. However after more than 40 mins I heard nothing so I called back and she insisted I’d said I was picking it up!! No apology was offered and as a result I cancelled as her attitude was completely unprofessional!! I wonder how many others have experienced this woman’s sharp attitude? Sadly the food is good and the Gentleman is superb but I can no longer use this place because of her!!

Pretty dreadful the food is bad. the only thing they've got going for themselves is the fact that they're the only local Chinese restaurant but definitely not worth ever going to it's almost always better to just go slightly further way to get something so much better.

ordered a meal had to wait 1 1/2 hours for delivery after which discovered that order wasn't complete so phoned and had to wait another 20 mins for remainder of order to arrive no apology or compensation one of dishes supposed to be chicken chow mein a tub of noodles with 4 small piees of chicken and dry therefore not even worthy of 1 star let alone 5 would not recommend it to anyone

Recently had the worst Chinese takeaway ever from the Royal Dynasty. It was completely inedible, probably reheated ! Avoid here & try any of the nice takeaways in Corstorphine.

Well what can we say after praising the Royal Dynasty it must be the worst carry outs we have had really disappointed as we have allways told friends and family ref Royal Dynasty for one of the best phone them and told them how dissatisfied we were the lady said she will speak to management no reply as yet

2nd time ordering from here and I have found my local.... Food is amazing and delivery time was very fast... Definitely will be using here in the future...
