Really tasty food and pleasant staff.

The food was amazing as always and the service was fantastic, very attentive.

Best Chinese restaurant in Peterborough!

I’ve been several times and the service and food has been brilliant. The choice is great and cooked for you so there is a wait but prawn crackers are there to enjoy.

Always a good meal. Nothing had changed since I first wrote this. Went this evening and had a great meal, lovely place, great service and incredible value for money. Highly recommend

Just had our meal, we are not from the area so was very unsure when we arrived amd it didn't look open and then when we looked through the window realised it was as one table was occupied. I'm so glad we made the decision to give it a go. The food was really good. It was a set menu, but you had a mixture for the starter, then crispy duck followed by your own choice for mains. So much food and everything tasted great. A small restaurant but lovely and the lady serving was brilliant. It's definitely worth the visit

Some food was lukewarm some hot, Crispy chilli beef was not atall crispy and not spicy. Service was good. The problem may have been the numbers being catered for, a party of about 32

The food was delicious! Service was quick, and all of the food was piping hot when it arrived. The only thing was that the restaurant itself is a little bit 'dated'. It really hasnt changed since we last visited over 10 years ago. The chairs are all quite wobbly (although they all had comfortable cushion pads on them) so we did swap a couple of ours with those at an empty table.

The food as always was delicious. All freshly cooked and tasted.

If you like Chinese food, you won't be disappointed. Personally not my favourite cuisine.

The food and service are second to none. Absolutely fabulous food. They had a one off buffet yesterday (Jan 21st '24) and it was packed. I hope they do a buffet again. It is simply superb and wouldn't go anywhere else. You normally pay far more for a set meal... so a buffet is better as you can pretty much sample a bit of everything 🥰 10/10

It was quiet, the waiter was chatty and talked us through the menu and how the ordering goes. The best thing we enjoyed most, was the selection of starters and the fried rice.

Visited for a birthday party on a Sunday and have to say how great the experience was, highly recommend. TL:DR; - excellent service, above and beyond, super friendly, happy and polite staff, good food, gluten free accomodating, super amazing hostess. Only complaint: Kung po chicken wasn't spicy but made up for it as very tasty. The owners stayed open just for our party (between lunch and dinner service) and they went the extra mile to make sure it was a great experience. The lady in charge reminded me of an attentive nanna, in that she was not happy unless we were all happy and fed WELL, checking we all had what we wanted and needed, making sure everything was good at all times. Especially considerate of the children and gluten intolerant in our group. Some of our group were late and this was no issue for them, bringing out more starters after already serving the rest of the group. The 2 waitresses were friendly and polite, great at handling the whole groups food and orders, not missing a beat, a testament to the owners who were also so friendly and happy making our experience all the more. They even threw in some free ice-cream & jelly sweets for the kids to have with the birthday cake we provided, to which They added some indoor fireworks off their own backs, turned out the lights and played a birthday song on the speakers whilst they brought in the cake. Everyone was amazed and loved the extra mile they went to, to make sure we all had a great time. There was a very small issue with the bill at the end and it was sorted very quickly and amicably with the owner, whom even discounted 2 of the older children's meals without us even asking or them needing to. Seriously, give them a go..

Visited at lunch time today. Open 12-2.30. lunch menu is £10.50 for 3 course menu. There is also evening menu available or a la carte. Decent choice, food was good. Atmosphere difficult to assess as there were only 3 tables of diners.

Not much atmosphere, staff very very friendly. Food was minimal tbh, luckily we was not hungry. Prawn toast the size of a large postage stamp! Price was fair considering. Most starters were piping hot on round dish, other starter dish I could not identify what it was, but was covered in chilly. Deserts are very well priced. 2 x 3 course and 1 short and beer and 2 wines £58 so price is good. Would we go back? Not really. Place need a paint and clean inside.

HIDDEN GEM. Absolutely gorgeous food, excellent customer service, lovely atmosphere. This is how all restaurants should be. Plenty of choice of well cooked, tasty and moreish food served from a menu and brought your table. I had the starters. When you order them, please state if you have any allergies etc. WONDERFUL!! I then ordered my main which was a Prawn dish with rice. Again I was not disappointed. Restaurant was very clean and tidy. Decorated with beautiful Chinese art. Also a tank greets you on your entry with a colourful array of Gold fish. A dessert menu is also available, but not included in the price of the buffet. It's very reasonable, so I had a Banana flitter, syrup with ice cream for £1.80. Tasted perfect. This is now my FAVOURITE Chinese Restaurant in Peterborough. Well worth checking out. Prices range from £18.80 and they also off a buffet at lunchtime from £8.80. In house Bar is available with a good selection of drinks.

Had a great Sunday lunch, it came as a set meal for two but with a good choice of dishes. Quality food and service at a reasonable price. Will happily go again for a bigger family gathering. Just a shame the buffet is no longer available.

Booked a table for two , not a problem. The menu wasn't very clear what is available on the set menu . Starters arrived , not very well presented and cold . Main food arrived , kung-po chicken , five incredibly small pieces ?? The rice was burnt and the chow mein was tasteless. All in all a very poor experience that I won't be repeating.

This is quite simply the BEST Chinese food in Peterborough, every dish is amazing and the 3 course set dinner is great value for money. Especially recommend the Cantonese Pork and the Crispy Shredded Duck... simply divine! Plenty of free car parking space too as out of town which is a great plus point. We will most definitely be becoming regulars here!

Service Was quick probably due to refrying food as it was rubbery and the noodles were hard. Just a selection of plain rice and noodles. When ordering we wanted to choose some starters, instead the waitress told us what to order. I would take a swift drive past and forget about the place.

Brilliant food ! My husband particularly loved his special order of belly pork which had 2 portions ! My duck was beautiful too even our grandson managed an almost clean plate . The staff were more than helpful . Would highly recomend .

This is our go to restaurant for our big family dinners. The food is amazing. Always tastes great. It is hot and freshly made to order. You can order more of the same. The cost is good value.

Went to Royal China tonight for my mums birthday. The service was amazing. I would give 5 star plus if I could. I am a vegetarian, and the lady asked me what stuff I like to eat and brought me a selection of so much stuff. We felt like a VIPs. The food was beautiful, and the service was top of the tree and the atmosphere was great. If you haven't been before go as its value for money too. Thank you Royal China for an amazing evening. :-)

Amazing food and amazing service, here for our Grandaughter 18th, her choice, and was an amazing choice, we are from out of town, so haven't been for a long long time, and not disappointed. The staff are excellent.

Absolutely enjoyed our food and service. Once again they accommodated our families needs with wonderful service and delicious food.

We love this place for many reasons. Mainly because they can do lots off the menu as gluten free as my wife and a friend are intolerant, but also for the value for money and the service is original. You get you ask for and it's usually quick. Brilliant place

Poor quality cold bland small inadequate portions for the expensive price. Unseasonal and bland rice and noodles. Chewy chicken and measly slices of chewy pork in some sort of grease. Really not happy . Food came out in dribs and drabs. Thinking of going here ? DONT. The one star is for the girls working in there. Feel sorry for them having to face customers when the restaurant puts out food of such poor standards..

It was Sunday evening and very quiet, but service and food was very good. Waitress was very friendly, helpful and efficient.

Food lovely although could have been hotter, warm plates and dishes would help this.

Excellent quality food and a very affordable price. Very attentive staff who can’t do enough for you. Portion sizes are absolutely perfect and your not overawed with excess food. You leave with a pleasant full feeling without feeling uncomfortably stuffed.

Fantastic food, excellent value. The lady owner was extremely attentive. My daughter is off to university so we had a little goodbye dinner, the owner came and gave her a present to say good luck. Highly recommend this restaurant.

I had eaten here two years and was sick decided to give them another chances the other day however the time from starters too mains was 2 minutes we then sent back the beef dishes as they didn’t tastes right we then left and my partner was violently sick on the way back home I then rang a spoke to a lady who passed the phone to her husband who said they would refund the food however after driving all the way back the wife refused to give a refund and the husband just stood there and didn’t speak or try to help resolve the issue even tho they offered a full refund I had driven all the way from the other side of Peterborough very disappointed as they had no customer service skill and didn’t wants to resolve the issue

Call in at lunchtime to get a table for four and was pleasantly surprised. Unusual location for a restaurant. We ordered the lunchtime special and it was excellent, very well cooked and presented at the table, and very good value for money. Definitely would recommend

Only had the takeaway but it was really nice food. While waiting we saw the food going out to the restaurant and it looked very tasty. The prices for the restaurant are very impressive and I'm sure we will visit soon.

This evening we had Crispy Duck with see weed. Absolute marvellous! And a bottle of red Shiraz wine. It can't be better! I really recommend everyone to test this. It's so very good!

This place was such a lovely find. Seated us very last minute. Amazing starter platter (everything was absolutely lovely) had seconds, and the duck was gorgeous too. All food was top quality, cooked perfectly and they were so accommodating and friendly. A big Thankyou for having us.

As always first class food and service what more can I say.

It was absolutely horrific. We went and for a birthday meal, where we had multiple gift bags, one including alcohol which we did not drink at the premises. We returned home and left that bag there therefore we went back for it. The manager, who was the person we dealt with, was completely and utterly disrespectful, screaming and shouting at us. She stated that they threw our gift bag away however did not compensate for the bottles nor replace them (alcohol is very expensive) I was disgusted with the customer service and we will never be going back. The behaviour of both the manager and the employees was awful and I recommend for people not to go here.

Awful experience. Went with a party of 12 for a works night out. Terribly long wait for food which was cold by the time it came out. Portions are a joke. 6 spring rolls and a small bowl of egg fried rice between 12 people. We actually thought they were joking until a very rude member of staff told us that was all we would be getting for now as they were very busy. To top it all off, as I went out for a cigarette, a woman chased after me to accuse me of trying to leave without paying, despite the rest of my party still being seated inside. She locked the door and refused to let me back inside until my party had made payment. Absolutely disgraceful.

Ordered a takeaway and asked to stay in the car so they brought it out to me. Plenty of plastic screens so COVID-19 safe. There were people sitting down to eat, but all tables were separated. Plenty of food, a bit much, but a good price so happy about that. Will go for the takeaway and sit down again.

Quite possibly one of the spreads it terms of starters I've seen. The mains aren't bad either. Highly recommended.

Went for a family dinner. The food is freshly cooked and delicious (been in few Chinese restaurants so able to compare). The service is high standard, very helpful and friendly. If you are not familiar with chinese kitchen, the waitress will help you choose or bring you to try different dishes to share. Recommend trying everything you can. The atmosphere is nice and relaxing, the music is not too loud compared with other similar restaurants, so very pleasant . You got free parking as well. The restaurant is clean and tidy, the tables are I would say more than two meters apart and all covid safe measures in place. Absolutely will recommend this lovely restaurant
