Royal China in Great Yarmouth

I've been using this Chinese for many many years, I've moved away now but every visit I ensure I have a Chinese. It's not changed and is still amazing

I recently had an outstanding experience with Royal China in Martham. Ordering online was seamless, and I appreciated the regular email updates about my order's status. They even called me when it was ready for collection, which was a nice touch. The food was exceptional, with generous portions that exceeded my expectations. Every dish was delicious and beautifully prepared. I highly recommend Royal China for anyone looking for a top-notch Chinese meal!

Don’t bother. Ordered online got an email confirmation. Went to pick up to be to told they hadn’t cooked it as they don’t check the online orders. Why on earth then do they have that facility. Told would have to wait 40 mins - 1 hour. Absolutely ridiculous. Having read some other reviews I was glad I opted to pay cash instead of credit card in case this happened and we could walk away which we did. What a way to run a business. Honestly don’t bother. They obviously do not care for their customers if that’s their attitude.

Had a lovely meal, generous portions all dishes really tasty. Usual dishes; chow mein, sweet & sour chicken, chilli beef. downside is cash only. Would recommend.

Excellent food which I ordered on arrival and it was ready within about 10 minutes. I highly recommend the food and service.

Ordered the banquet meal for two. Was really tasty and couldn’t fault it. Would recommend. We were told to pick up at 7.20 and waited another ten minutes but it was well worth it.

Discovered whilst staying in the area. This was a real find. A top quality meal at a very reasonable price. We very much enjoyed our takeaway and would 100% visit again

Dreadful avoid! Went in and ordered, was told 40 minutes, after waiting 40 minutes was told 10 more minutes. After being told the same multiple times I had to argue to cancel the order after 90 minutes waiting in the takeaway. Complete and utter shambles of a business. Avoid at all costs.

What a disappointment Royal China!!!! I ordered a Chinese at 4.30 to be collected at 8.30, thinking it would be busy and I wanted to make sure the family would eat. My husband has been twice in the last 40 minutes to be told it's still not ready!!! There was me thinking 4 hours notice was sufficient! If you can't do it, be honest and tell people up front! I have rated a 1 as I can't rate lower, but considering I didn't get any food........ It's a bit fat zero!!!!

Wonderful food and lovely people working there. Loved the chow Mein and egg rice the best. Hot food Quick service Lovely family

Was staying in a barn on hol in martham and decided to order a takeaway on our last night.Rang them at 7pm and ordered a prawn coctail house special chow mein and prawn crackers guy told us it would be 15 minutes but i said to him we were just round the corner so 30 minutes would be fine.Upon goint collect he told me it wasnt ready and everyone else who came into collect was told the same in fact a girl who was already there when i got there was told her food would be an hour!Anyway my food was eventually ready at 8pm and although it was a wait mum had the prawn coctail which was packed with prawns my chow mein was lovely soft noodles big chunks of pork chicken beef and lots of big prawns the crackers were crunchy if you dont mind waiting the food is good

We had an Excellent meal and service at the Oulton Broad Royal China Resturant, Food was hot and plentiful, great friendly service. Restaurant was clean and smart. Best Sweet and Sour chicken balls ever had. Be careful what you order because you get lots, needed a doggy bag.

While staying in Martham we visited this takeaway several times. The food was great, as good as any takeaway we have had elsewhere. The staff we helpful and friendly, we couldn't fault it and will be back when visiting Martham again.

I looked for closest Chinese to where we are staying. I did look at reviews but wanted to try, SO GLAD I DID!! Lovely family run business. We arrived just as everyone locally decided to have Chinese too. Lovely chap serving with I think his wife. Efficient, told people wait times, lots of room to distance while waiting and just very lovely. Food came much quicker than expected and it was all delicious!! Definitely will go again, a new regular!!

Just had a takeout from here. First after COVID. What has happened. Used to be really good. Ribs were over cooked and really dry. Rest of the dishes were either really salty or tasteless. A real disappointment and waste of money. The dog enjoyed the ribs and the bin enjoyed the rest. Apart from the prawn crackers which we ate. Never again Total waste of money.

After looking at previous reviews I wasn’t expecting a great meal so it was no surprise that the meal wasn’t a great experience. I can’t grumble at the portions, which meant I had to eat even more rubbery chicken than I would have liked.

The worst ever! Ordered on line, chicken fried rice, chicken chop suey, beef chop suey, king prawn in rice cashew nuts and chips the bill was £41 and a total waste of money. Don’t waste your money everything was in the same sweet sauce meat like rubber and rice hard and only just warm. Family of 5 all put food in the bin.

Utter garbage. Got our order wrong and when we queried it the staff are incredibly rude. There’s plenty of Chinese takeaways in the area, put this one at the bottom of your list.
