Hands down the Best Chinese in Plymouth!

Ordered my food tonight took over 2 hours! Food come and it was greasy and soggy, my sweet and sour sauce was gone off had a vile smell to it will not be ordering from here again absolute waste of money

Absolute shame as we usually have lovely food from here but on last nights occasion when we ordered the salt and chilli chicken, honey ribs and sesame prawn toast, it was all very greasy. Even the containers were full of grease before trying to open them, apart from that, quick and friendly service but maybe spend more time making sure the food is cooked nicely, won't be ordering from here again

From first ordering to food arriving was 13min and Is a minimum 5 min drive to my house,which is kinda worrying how can u cook 3meals in 7minutes unless you are microwaving everything ,and the ribs are cheap ribs practically no meat on them the BBQ sauce was nice if that's any consideration plus Royal chef special fried rice had no pork,two small pieces of broccoli mostly full of bamboo shoots which I always pick out anyway but have to say am disappointed not to there usual standards will try a different chinnece next time I think

this place is gone down hill big time had chicken.curry lots off.peas and oinon.lots off.mushrooms .about 6 bit off chicken .and curry was taste less and like dishwater and there cut back on the size off chips u get . last time had food from there is was burnt the so called chef need,s cooking leason,s never gone back again

Why there isn't a zero for this Chinese I don't know what the Chinese food tasted like as it never got to me definitely will not be ordering from this chiness again.

If I could leave a zero I would. I've bought food from here a few times and most of those times they've either been extremely late or they've messed up my order.

Ordered via just eat, fast delivery and always good food, the delivery driver, was brilliant and very understanding ( we order from Bristol for our disabled family member as a treat). There was a mix up of her not going to the door to collect but really can't thank the delivery driver enough for understanding, really sorry if it caused any problems at all for him. Sadly didn't get him name. Thank you again

The delivery was quick but the food was cold and one part of my order was missing, it’s the first time I’ve ordered from royal chef and it will probably be my last.

Absolutely disgusting. Waited over 2 hours food was cold. Half a tub of curry sauce. Stay away. Shouldn't even be trading. Will never use them again

I have just waited over 2 hours for my order. My first time ordering from Royal Chef and I will never order from this place again. Chicken Cow main disgusting a plate full of noodles and hardly anything else and the taste was not good. A couple of mouth fulls and the rest went in the bin. There spicy chips were better. But basically I paid nearly 14 pound for a plate of chips and can of Coke including a delivery charge. Wish I had read some of the reviews before ordering as I wouldn’t have ordered.

4hrs waiting for delivery I know they must be busy at the moment but this is takin the p*## would love to say the food is amazing but I wouldn't know as it still ain't here

This place is horrendous I ordered for the first time tonight the dri er expected a tip and the food was awful, they missed part of my order and when I called them they said it would be with me in half an hour it never arrived I will not be ordering from this place again after I had to repeat myself they said they would send it out still nothingat 12.05 I'm disgusted

charging £2.70 for a bottle of tango. wouldn't buy food from there as in past it has taste disgustingly bland no taste at all

I wholeheartedly can say, this is one my regular go to takeaways, the food is always delicious! I've noticed negative reviews complaining about hairs being in the food, after 50+ visits to Royal Chef, I've never had such an occurrence. The food safety is of a high standard, the kitchen is spotless. You can even watch your food being prepared quite easily because the kitchen is right behind the desk. It's my personal non bias opinion that the negative comments are unfounded. I recommend Royal Chef, after trying many chinese restaurants around Plymouth this is one of the very best, certainly the best in Devonport. Not to mention the staff are very friendly, they will also quite happily adapt your dishes if something you really want isn't on the menu too! I rate Royal Chef a well deserved 5 star!

DISGTUSTING. Whoever gave this place a 5 star review doesn't have tastebuds. I literally spat out one of the dishes. Everything else I nibbled on simply out of desperation. NEVER again. AVOID
