I took my mum here for lunch. The service was awful and non existent as the same girl was serving seated customers, the counter and answering phone calls. She showed no eye contact or enthusiasm and had attitude, The food arrived separately and long time in between , we asked for side plates for Bombay sandwiches. The waitress took a long time to get these I would not return back to this place if the food was free Better training of the staff is needed

Quality of food has gone down,especially their samosas.Reduced in size and mostly potatoes in filling and terrible mssala.

The taste and quality of food has dropped recently after increased prices, decreasing the portion sizes, for individual portions of curry.Food has become very oily,spicy hot and horrible spices used in curry like star anise etc.Could be new chef possibly. They need to listen to customer views and get back to their previous recipes.It was much better before.

Always purchase the thali - it is delicious and reasonably priced. Love that they don't add sugar to the curries and they do wholemeal roti. I don't have a big sweet tooth but their jalebi is nice and crispy and I do like their chocolate burfi.

Nice little place for all the Indian snacks,savoury and street food. Exclusive vegetarian!!! Taste was good, can give it a try!

The best cup of Indian tea I have had in Leicester, the vada pau was good but no ambli sauce, has 3 or 4 big tables in the place, and opens earlier than other places, good value for money

Panner wraps were less than a third filled from the way they used to be. It's a shame as they used to be great and tasty. Unfortunately now they were mostly wraps with hardly any filling

Worst customer service in the world If the owner is reading my review please take an action, otherwise business will go down hill, staff needs proper training.

The food is excellent I think the staff need to be more proactive, seriously need to rethink their seating arrangements better. Need to let customers know if they are going to be charged for additional items when this was not the case before.

It was really nice to just be eating indian foods and being surrounded by people from there, the food was really good and so many desserts to choose from. They really do cover all part of india and I’m happy for that

I tried the food from Royal bites a week ago it was brilliant!!

I brought 6 samosas, 3 was freshly made and hot enough. But 3 were cold.

Best items for adults and child's

Went in for a few items to take away, young guy didn't say hello, he just looked at me, I told him what I wanted and I was up buying instead of up selling. There was no communication from him or anyone else, I had to ask how much my order was? He told me the amount, and I gave him a £20 note. He didn't smile, say thank you or goodbye. I sarcastically said thank you and goodbye but also, I said I'll come again. It felt as if he had an attitude or he was just too serious maybe ha ha!The food was okay to be fair, and I shouldn't have up buyed, but I felt guilty for ordering just 2 packs of chapattis and they do offer eating in and good thali deals but also the elderly people can sit down and enjoy hot food at a reasonable price too!

Had really strange experience with this place. I was trying to pay my bill but guy on till refused to take £20 Scottish note when I asked why are you not taking legal tender he rudely said go to bank don't come here .

Good food and decent prices. Staff a little unengaged and therefore customer service could be better/more friendly. Also fly's around the shop and landing on food that is left open, so please look into this.

I ordered there for the first time today recommended by my colleagues and will definitely order there again I ordered 70 samosa's For my birthday And they where the best samosa's I've had I called in the morning and it was done by lunch nice fresh and hot samosa's They will see me again there Kind regards Patrick

Bad customer service. Never ever again going to visit this place. Went 1st time to eat in & the person serving didn't ask eat in or take away nor how many. Said takes 10mins to get the food but had to wait 20mins & then gets it in packed box.

Absolutely the most delicious food I have ever eaten in Leicester. Saturday Khatiya Vari menu of Kitcheri, Oro, Khadi, Rotla - absolutely to die for. Think amazing value for money. I don't mind paying even £7 per person

Called into Royal Bites by chance while having work done on my car.. Enjoyed the KATHIYAWADI GUJARATI THALI, which consisted of 4 chapati, 2 curries, Dal boiled rice along with savoury and a sweet. I often knock Gujarati food however this was so tasty filling and only £5 Amazing value with attentive staff from India. Well done and much appreciated.

Royal Bites is a very busy Gujurati food restaurant especially at weekends. We dined in but their takeaway service is extremely busy and popular dishes like the Gujurati Thali are readily available. Popular snacks like Chevdo, Ganthia, Farsi Puri etc and Samosas,Kachori, bateta vada ,Dhokla etc are all very popular and tasty. The variety of takeaway dishes is very good. I recommend pre ordering for takeways. There is a separate wash basin and clean toilet facilities, as well as very friendly staff.

Excellent food for a reasonable price. Definitely worth a visit. I recommend this place.

Some staff try and con. Twice we have had less somasas then we requested but charged for it. Manager refunded but staff should be careful. Once maybe not twice

Lovely, humble place🙌 Helpful staff, relatively quick food arrival, lots of good options (I definitely recommend the pani puri(only £2.00 for 6🤯)) Good prices (my family of 5 ate there for under £25 this includes the £8.50 family pani puri pack we bought to take home) Fun looking menu (looked like a monopoly board) Tasty food aswell. Overall great experience just one thing I did find some mystery dried substance spot in my glass.

This is the place where i used to go and am still going to have some an awesome indian Fast-food. They have taste consistency in food i have noticed that every time i go in. Everything about this place is best. I generally eat Bhel, Paneer Roll, Samosa chaat, Dabeli (which are indian Fast-food) and drink Tea every time i got same taste as it's used to. But there is a con that they charge you of Eating in.

The manager was rude and disgusting. The food was rock solid and cold and we couldn’t even bite into it. When we asked for a refund he started swearing at us. He called us horrible names and threw the food back at us.

Very slow service not at all good .. the waiter is saying the food will take 10 mins to come when it comes after 30 mins what the hell is that .. I would tell the people who visit here order before leaving otherwise it will take ages .

Mutter Paneer was really good in comparison with 5⭐ restaurant. My recommendation is to try once Mutter Paneer of this place.

More expensive but great quality food as always. Royal are and have always had better quality food and snacks. I rarely eat Indian snacks but I was passing through Leicester yesterday. I bought a portion of Chilli Paneer which was delicious, and some samosas at 45p each, they were delicious. My day was ruined going next door to Khabi Khabi and their food completely ruined my day. I wish I would have spent all my money in Royal bites.

We ordered Veg Thali And it was good. Veg Thali includes Khichadi, Baigan Bharta, Roti, Pickle, Kadhi, Saal. Overall staff service is good.

Amazing food. The staff are great and really friendly. If you haven't tried it before, you'll get a taster. Can't recommend this place highly enough. The prices are super competitive too.

Really enjoyed a whole selection of goodies. The usual samosas and patra, a whole kilo of Bombay mix, and 3 great thalis.. Plus a lovely range of pakora type things. And of course green chutney. Delicious.

It was quite but savoury food and sweets quite good .

It's very good on Saturday for benganbhartha rotla kadhi and khichadi with garlic chatni.

Extremely terrible service. Never go or order food from them. Terrible customer service and the manager is also very annoying and unhelpful. Order something and was given something and when I rang she said it was finished without even telling. No courtesy to say sorry or that they could exchange or compensate next time

My Wife and I had a lovely, wholesome lunch at the Royal Bites recently. The normal thali I had was very tasty and like home cooking. My wife had puris and chole which was equally good. They also refilled the subjis and asked if I wanted more rotlis. Prices are reasonable and I think it is value for money. The staff are friendly and very hospitable. Reminded me of the hospitality in Kathiawar. The place is less busy so if you want a quiet lunch destination this is the place to head for. The ambiance is great too.

Can’t say enough about this place. GREAT Sunday brunch, AMAZING variety, EXTREMELY helpful and accommodating staff and food cooked fresh!!!!! Can’t wait fir my next visit.

Excellent quality of food and value for money. Stuffed chilli was delightful. Gujarati samosa was sweet on the first bite then gentle hot spice hits. Very tasty. Overall experience was very good.
