Row 48 in Peterborough

Recientemente vine a este establecimiento con mi familia para almorzar, ya que este es uno de nuestros lugares favoritos para comer, bueno, solía ser, nuestro servidor fue extremadamente grosero al tomar nuestro pedido, su cabello estaba suelto y tenía uñas postizas, creo que su nombre era Sophie. Viniendo de trabajar en el negocio de la hospitalidad durante más de 25 años que va en contra de las normas de higiene alimentaria! Cuando me pidieron la lámina de alérgenos, ella me miró, hablaba muy fuerte de asuntos personales que no deberían hacerse públicos, la comida estaba perfectamente cocinada, pero debido al servicio que recibimos, ¡no volveré en el futuro!

Tuve una gran fiesta aquí con más de 50 personas. Fue fantástico. Vicki y Jamie eran muy serviciales y todo el mundo lo pasó muy bien. Las papas fritas cargadas de gofres eran deliciosas. Fue un día perfecto afuera y había toneladas de niños jugando afuera y no pudo haber sido una experiencia más agradable.

Visita familiar. Encantador entorno con vistas al lago. Menú mediocre. Nada particularmente saludable en el menú. Todos Especiales servidos con patatas fritas! Mi ensalada de cuscús dijo que se servía con semillas de granada, menta y pepino. No encontré semillas de granada ni Menta y solo seis rodajas de pepino cortadas por la mitad. El pollo con la ensalada estaba demasiado cocido y muy seco - decepcionado ya que pagué extra por esto. Sin embargo, me gustó la ensalada. Fue muy sabroso. El servicio estaba bien, aunque me pareció que estaban escasos de personal, ya que solo había dos miembros del personal trabajando detrás de la barra, tomando órdenes de camareros en las mesas, etc. No volvería a visitar si tuviera prisa.

Muy decepcionado con el bocadillo de dedos de pescado era pescado gris y demasiado frito, pensé que habría sido pescado goujons buen bacalao blanco! Había tirado de cerdo y brioche de salchicha asiática que estaba bien, pero habría sido bueno con un poco de ensalada o patatas fritas a un precio superior con lo que era. El personal es encantador, pero solo uno en el bar sirve, así que un poco de espera larga cola Mucho margen de mejora ¡Y todas las reseñas con 5 solo tienen 1 contribución!

La comida era deliciosa! Los tamaños de las porciones eran generosos y se puede decir al amor lo que se puso en la comida. Nuestros servidores Samantha & Sophia también estaban tan atentos! ¡Regresaremos seguro!

Went for a family lunch and the food was lovely! Nice potion sizes for adult and even children's meal! Sophia our server was lovely and aslo Kyle from the kitchen was helpful too! The restaurant is a lovely little atmosphere with a beautiful view. Would recommend and will be back!

Really good food and great service from Samantha! I would recommend eating here, nice views, good vibes and friendly staff.

Very disappointing. A group of us booked for lunch after rowing at PCRC rowing club which is almost next door, so it is a very convenient venue, We booked for 12.30 and preordered starters, mains and desserts The food arrived over one hour after we were seated. The starters were served at the same time as the main course and desserts never came. Those who had ordered desserts had to either leave or had given up by then and didn’t bother to ask. All drinks and coffees had to be paid for at the bar so we had to pay 3 times, once for drinks, coffee and then food There was no one else in the restaurant On the plus side the food was very tasty and the aspect is lovely as there is a lovely view of the rowing lake and river, is it clean and the staff were very polite and seemed to be doing their best I have heard others have had similar experiences This is such a shame as a lot of Rowing Club members were hoping to support this venue but after visiting are now going to the Boat house next door instead

Went for the Sunday roast which had been recommended and was indeed very good, generous portions and tasty. Will definitely go again, staff all friendly and helpful.

This is the 3 time I’ve been here and every time has been nice the staff (Sophia and Mary) where really friendly and nice was definitely a pleasant experience and I will be coming back

Had a lovely meal. We both had scampi & chips very generous portions and good value for money. We had to download the app to order the food and you can get a 10% discount on the food but couldn’t find where to input the code. There wasn’t anywhere to add comments so you couldn’t change anything like no ice in the drink or no peas etc. At the time of ordering and paying it gave you the option if you wanted to add a tip but you don’t what the food or service is going to be like so how can you say you want to leave a tip? Food & drink served quickly and service was good. Staff friendly. Also if you’re driving, when you go in to the hotel you need to enter your car reg number for parking as it’s free for guests using the hotel & restaurant.

After seeing reviews for the dinners here, my wife and i decided not to venture into Peterborough and have our dinner (2 night stay) at this linked restaurant to the Dragonfly Hotel. Had the double stack burgers which to be honest were more like two broiled 4oz burgers that tasted like and had the texture of Birds Eye frozen burgers. Salad in the burger was one tiny leaf of a mini-gem lettuce and two rings of tomato. We also shared a starter of Chilli Brocoli, minus the chilli oil and five skinny limp stems at around £1 per stem. Disappointed with our evening meal. Sorry Row 48 but you need better quality food for the prices you charge.

A walking group of 9 people enjoyed an hour out of the rain and wind on a rather wet Tuesday morning to enjoy coffee in the warm, welcoming surroundings of Row 48

Beautiful,delicious Sunday dinner. Staff were welcoming and very accommodating for children. Service was impeccable Couldn’t ask for anymore

If I am in a five mile radius of Row 48 I detour for the coffee! Vicki makes my cappuccino exactly to my liking and I am fussy! Plenty of froth and lovely and hot. Her customer service skills match her barista ability. I enjoy the relaxed atmosphere and the fire in the hearth is an added bonus! The refurbishment looks great too. Well done

We decided to visit Row 48 after reading the good review in the Nene Valley Living magazine. We ordered and paid for Salmon off the specials board and fish and chips. We were then informed that we could no longer order off the special board. I then chose the couscous salad and asked if I could have this without the mint. I was told this was not possible (disappointing as I thought it would have been freshly made) I then went for the vegetarian burger. We waited 30 minutes for the fish and chips to arrive which can only be described as ok. The burger turned up 5 minutes later. It came with 2 pieces of little gem lettuce and 3 rings of raw onion no tomato as mentioned in the description. Not worth £13.95. The view outside was lovely just a shame the view inside was spoilt by a floor in need of sweeping. Making the area feel a little unclean.

Me, my partner and the dog (welcoming pets all day/night) went for a lovely 2 course meal at the Row48 restaurant/hotel. The service was absolutely brilliant. The food came out as requested. We had 3 starters and 2 mains. We left with 3 very full bellies! Even tried food we’ve never tasted before. We’re very happy to say. We will be coming back.

Vicki and the team really helped provide for a lovely morning this week. We came as a group of 10 for coffee and cake and had an enjoyable time The chef provided a lovely range of cakes and pastries and the receptionist provided a warm, friendly and helpful welcome. Thank you everybody.
