This bar is the definition of welcoming. Centred on the service with friendly bar staff and cosy decor. Spacious though not large it is a good venue for meeting up with friends. Despite musical productions happening next to it, the venue is quiet for enjoying conversations. The prices are reasonable with a good array of bar snacks. There is a slightly longer walk to the restroom, but this is not a real issue. Highly recommended for a visit.

I used to like the food here and it is still listed as a cafe on internet sites but it is now reduced to bar snacks.

Waiting for a friend to arrive before we had some food whilst waiting for a concert to start. Only had a coffee, but the bar looked extensive and there seemed to be plenty of punters enjoying themselves. Nice place by the looks of it for a quiet drink and chat before the hoards turn up for a gig upstairs. Lovely venue.

Went here for a Sunday brunch and had a great meal. Restaurant is light and modern, service is fast and efficient. They brought a highchair for our baby grandson without even being asked. Very extensive menu, including brunch-appropriate beverages. The bread basket is to die for and could be breakfast by itself.

Sitting down for dinner for two on Saturday night 27 July was strangely quiet. The reason was very soon to be apparent to us. The starters were pushed out the fridge and slapped out onto a plate and delivered with a grunt to the table. Before the awful starters were finished the mains were rushed over and served, perched on the edge of the table while the outside “chef” looked on. Hot fish dish served on a bed of deathly cold couscous draped with a tepid red sauce. The muscles tasted bad, and the physical reaction to eating just one was a clear indication that they were not good to eat. No dessert - thank you. We couldn’t bear the thought of another course! Would recommend going there with someone you hate or maybe someone you’re going to fire. Certainly not worth the money we paid, no where close. It’s a bar first and foremost. Overstaffed, poor service, poor timing, poor quality of food and overpriced. They serve packets of crisps behind the bar if you’re hungry.

Not the place to go for a quiet, relaxing dinner, but fantastic if you want somewhere quick before the show. The quality of the cooking is much higher than one would expect from a place where diners on plastic chairs around formica-topped tables have to compete for space with jostling crowds at the bar. The slow-cooked pork belly was excellent as was the apple and forced rubarb crumble and the bill for £20 included a glass of drinkable house wine. The service was friendly, but a bit frantic - repeatedly having to push their way between tables and drinkers. This food deserves more comfortable surroundings. I will definitely pay another visit at a quieter time.

This place serves a quality food, very well presented and full of flavour. It might be priced above the average expectations, but you get a wealth of taste out of your meal. Gets quite busy, especially between performances.

Booked a table here after watching Fuerza Bruta which incidentally was brilliant!! The food was excellent as we bought a selection of small dishes. 3 of us ate and not sure how many dishes we had but they were also excellent!! Cost about £24.00 each including a bottle of wine. I would say alcohol is expensive here. It is advisable to book for the restaurant well in advance as it gets pretty packed. Would use it again. Very little atmosphere. Steel and wood, perhaps formica!!

We intended to have a casual, long lunch - after ordering drinks, I had 2 starters, and my friends had a main course each. The portions were so small that after paying £75 we crossed the road and had a hearty meal at Marine Ices for half the cost, including delicious ice creams for dessert.

My partner and I had dinner in the cafe on the spur of the moment and were pleasantly surprised by such a good menu. The idea is to buy 4/5 small plates, like tapas. They were very original, hugely tasty and we will definitely go back there again. Service was also very good.

Popped in there with couple of mates to say goodbye to the pub we used to all use when we lived in the area. This is its final week before it gets taken over. It has always been good for a cheap drink
