Visited yesterday (Wednesday) with my young child for a spot of something to eat The lady that served us (Sarah) was so amazing! Polite, friendly, knowledgeable about products and how I could change order details as I am picky, Plus she spent time making my small child smile too Excellent I will be back again

Mixed grill and a couple of pints, can't complain. Decent food, bit of atmosphere and a decent laugh with a few of the staff.

Got assaulted twice here, wasted £ on pints as they got spilled by the same bully. Establishment didn't do anything to help regarding the issue and then let the fella get away with it. Ended up leaving in a hospital with a sliced temporal artery. Dangerous place. I diidn't even get the refund for the pints in the end.

Great service from Liam. Very good portion sizes and came exactly as ordered.

This pub has taken covid too far! What a disappointment of a pub. April 2025, jeez, this place was once a good pub, bar service is terrible, slow, miserable, I don’t get how they get front of house so wrong, do people not have the ability to serve multiple people at a time any more?

Food was excellent best lasagne iv had 🙂 And the fish n chips was beautiful I will definitely be coming back 🙂

Dropped in to try and grab a quick lunch while my wife was having surgery at the hospital up the road. First disappointment - 2 out of 3 cask ales were off. Opted for the remaining Abbot. This was cloudy soup. Returned it and asked for Guinness instead. This had run out. The barman asked what I believe was the manageress to change the barrel. She just snapped "you'll have to wait" at him, oblivious to the waiting customer. Time passed. A young customer arrived to ask for Jagerbombs, but they were out of those too. Further time passed. I realised this was not going to be a good place to spend any further time or money so walked out. Appalling way to run a business and astonishingly unprofessional for such a large chain.

me and my family have came out to eat here today, there was very little options to pick from as most of the food on the menu they didn’t have, food was basic, wouldn’t even say the prices were worth it although it being relatively “cheap”. Really disappointed as i’ve been coming here repeatedly. Overall 9/10 things on the menu were out of stock, came here in particular for the steak and beef dripping, they had neither nor the next 3 of my options

Poor service short off staff long wait for food food not very hot

Food has got awful, customer service is awful… staff are such liars, have been going here for years and today told me they can only watch one game on all screens which is a lie. They just can’t be bothered doing it… staff is like a revolving door in this place. Won’t be going back..

Highly recommend Roundhay to my friends after my current visit. Especially the great service I received from Laura. Definitely come back again for food and drinks

Had a wonderful time at this venue for my 63rd birthday. The food was excellent and the service was great. Couldn't recommend this venue more. It was excellent.

Loved it, excellent roast dinner, efficient service. One of the staff, Chloe, was extra helpful and really friendly. It made the visit that even though she was busy she made us feel welcomed and she was super quick with our drinks and desserts. Nice place, clean, friendly smile, good service.

My food was lovely and no complaints apart from the lettuce was too crunchy. I was served by a lovely lady called Ruby who greeted us kindly when we walked in and was very polite and well mannered through the whole service. The atmosphere was busy and loud . Would visit again .

Had some lunch today and I have to say I couldn’t fault it 👍🏻. We were looked after by a young lady called Thea and she was very helpful and professional, we would definitely recommend and will be returning soon.

I've been a regular at the Roundhay for a few years now and the food had declined within the past year but I'm incredibly happy to report that it has gotten much better over the past few months since a switch around of staff. Absolutely brilliant service, especially from Dillain and Kya. The food arrives in good time cooked nicely, the staff have a friendly demeanor and the overall atmosphere is inviting and makes me want to return. I am enjoying every visit recently and hope to continue being a regular

Regular drinking place, great atmosphere especially when football games are on. The staff are all great and pleasant. Laura is always cheerful and bubbly. Need to try more of the food menu next!

Sadly ordered steak on nan bread or flat bread said no sauces under meat and lettuce all over nan mayonnaise nan was rock hard Did get another nan when partner spoke out about it Fair he did offer me new meal but I'd eaten most of the steak and he brought me fresh nan lots nicer but on its own very dry no sauces to side as asked Partner asked medium rare I was same his was over cooked fries not best. First time aswell Would go back sorry no sadly ad do like the pub

We visited this place on a Sunday for lunch as a group of eight. On arrival, we were informed that the food would take about an hour, which we didn’t mind, given that there was only one person working in the kitchen that day. However, after waiting an hour and 30 minutes, we asked the staff about our food, as the delay was becoming unreasonable. To our surprise, we were told they would only start cooking it at that point. This would have been more acceptable if someone had informed us of the delay earlier, but unfortunately, that wasn’t the case. After a further 20 minutes, only two dishes were brought to the table. We continued to ask the sole server, who was clearly doing everything they could under difficult circumstances. We also send him to the manager as we would like to speak to her but she never showed us. Meanwhile, we saw the manager stood idly at the bar, making no effort to address any complaints or check on any of the tables (a few were complaining about the same issue at the time) to explain the situation or sort the issue at all. The lack of communication and poor handling of the situation, particularly by the manager, left a very bad impression. Sadly, this is not a place we’ll be visiting again. The same applies to their response here, where they shift the blame onto us for not approaching the manager—when, in reality, she should have been fully aware of everything happening on the floor at the time.

2h waiting to be served, we had to ask multiple times for updates. Plates came very slowly, by the time all food was on the table some people had already finished. We were offer free desserts and ask to pay for some and we would get some free. We asked to speak with the manager and she didn’t bother coming to our table. Plenty of people complaining. Not coming back

The pub that I regularly visited in weekends with my family has changed a lot, We ordered Sunday roast we waited 90 minutes, I asked for a refund due to the long waiting time (there were not many customers) I was refused a refund. The dish I ordered was not impressive mash potato was instant. gravy sauce also beef was rubbery which shows it was not fresh. I noticed that the entire staff consisted of two people who served customers at the bar, cleared tables and cooked in the kitchen just to keep the business running. I don't know who managing this business, but you are causing this pub to close, I and my family will definitely not be going there again. I have no problem with the staff they were nice but there are definitely too few of them, we do not recommend

Waited about 2 hours for the food, no updates, manager didn't bother to come check on us, no one even acknowledged the delay and no apology when the food was finally brought. Put 2 stars for service because the management had 1 poor waiter doing everything in his power to attend all tables and appease all the delays and he was giving it a great go. I saw 2 other people going up from other tables to complain about delays. The manager didn't show her face once to appease those customers nor attend to them nor help her staff.

so, normally we go to the Bridgewater arms for food (another flaming grill), however our nearest pub is actually this one so we thought we'd come here for food on Saturday evening. I looked at the menus and opening times and saw that the app stated the kitchen closed at 9 pm, so I booked a table for 8.30 on the understanding that I’d be able to get food thinking nothing of it and that we could have a night out with some food, and then to stay and drink until closing. We arrived in a cab around 20 past eight, giving us ten minutes advance for the table anyway and were sat at table two, where they normally have it reserved for the festive menus but were told we could eat there anyway. We then went ahead and were just about to push our orders through the app when someone ran over and told us not to put any food through as the kitchen was closed and had been since 8. This was extremely frustrating as if I’d have known this before, we would have probably gone to another green king pub where we could both eat and drink throughout the night. once finding this out, I then quickly rang ahead to first the GK in LS15 which said we'd make it to late for food then to Bridgewater, who also told us we wouldn't make it as they also shut at nine so not only could we not eat here, but we also missed out on a flaming grill, resulting in us last minute having to book to the harvester in Scholes LS15, resulting in yet another cab fair, which was significantly higher, but unfortunately the only option left to us at this point and also meaning green king missed out on our custom, because the information on food wasn't known before we'd arrived. I went to speak to a manager at the bar before we left, he told us there was nothing he could do even after I explained the situation so not only were we not able to order food from the kitchen that was advertised as open, but then had a manager tell me there was nothing that he could do and walking off. Overall, I was really disappointed with my experience

We decided to try somewhere new for dinner wish we hadn't bothered waited ages for dinner it came plate red hot food cold we had traditional Sunday roast but was told no yorkshire so got some roast potatoes (extra charge) my husband had turkey ( processed ) he left it along with he's instant mash 1piece of cold broccoli n peas and 1 piece of parsnip no stuffing as advertised he also had to use my gravey as there was no gravey tub on hes I ate some of mine being diabetic I had to eat otherwise we wud av left it all won't be going bk

Pub food was nice. Place was clean. My only complaint was our drinks took 30 minutes to arrive on our table. Then I had to ask for our drinks. Apart from that, everything was fine.

We popped in yesterday afternoon after driving past whilst looking for somewhere to eat, I regret deciding to turn round and pop in. There were two staff members behind the bar, we weren’t greeted by them but sat down and ordered through the app. The drinks arrived quickly, the starters soon followed after and they were lovely. Then the mains came out, my partner enjoyed his meal but I didn’t enjoy mine one bit. Both of our chips were covered in black burnt bits which I can only assume came from a grill or fryer, my fish was like charcoal. So burnt and once I’d cut it open it looked in horrible condition. I would have mentioned it to a member of staff but nobody checked on us during our main meal and there wasn’t a staff member in sight on the floor or behind the bar. I won’t be back.

Have been here before, and the food was good, but not this time was awful for cheese burger with no cheese and salad was limp and just thrown on, The chips were overcooked and scrappy. the other meal, one piece of chicken was dry and over cooked, the other was under cooked, and the chips were the same, staff never ask if the food was OK just ignored us

Not enough staff, bar left unattended until several people were waiting to order.

Only had the Thursday BOGOF burger. Should have been a cheese n bacon burger. Sadly no bacon at all on one of them and only the tiniest piece on the other. Didn't complain because of the price but will if it happens again.

Found this place a little on the unwelcoming side. Didn't stay long. Friendly bar staff all the same.

Really dissatisfied with our meal tonight. Partners daughter was visiting from Lincoln, after a busy day we decided to eat out. We ordered via the app, we ordered & paid for ours, the daughter ordered and paid for her own.Drinks all arrived in order and served together, my partner and myself were then served our food, but the daughters didn't arrive, we waited and waited no staff came to check if things were alright food still hadn't arrived 35 minutes later. Partner went to bar to see what was going on. A further 15/20 minutes of waiting finally the missing food arrived, however by now we had finished ours and she had waited so long she didn't really feel hungry any more. No apology, the only reason was Apparently down to the app. Despite the fact that our drinks order was fine. Really not happy at all!

Not enough staff at the bar. I'm disabled and was standing up in the queue for 30 minutes! Staff were not friendly and quite rude. They also got our food order wrong. I will not be return there anytime soon.

I have visited a few times and I have noticed that over my last few visits it has been slowly getting worse. Unfortunately today our food was cold or barely warm and seemingly undercooked. Such a shame really. The staff were lovely and friendly and would give them a higher rating if it wasn't for a few small things including the waiter putting our knifes on the table directly in front of our 11 month old 🙈. I will say that mu daughter had the steak enjoyed it. I didn't feedback to the staff as they seemed to be a few complaints already and I didn't want the hassle to spoil our lovely day out we had just had x

Got the flatbreads and omg they are amazing, peri peri chicken and a steak 1, my new favourite thing, you can add chips to make it a meal. There's a new kofta flat bread, garlic mushrooms are back, and the gammon is always delicious

Rude manageress called Lisa asked in a condescending manner to ‘verify I had a child under 16’ with me when I ordered a meal from the kids menu. This is after taking ages servings other customers. We had come out for a family meal with my youngest (3) and my girlfriend and her daughter (17) and were also ordering 3 adult meals as well as beverages. To say I was not impressed is an understatement as I have never had any issues in here before, and have spent a fair bit eating and drinking here. Will not be returning. Cheeky and rude (Edit - foot flow has nothing to do do with the ridiculous and stupid questioning of our child meal order Roundhay! As you well know! )

AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS. Management need to learn a thing or two about manners and how to treat customers. Visited this afternoon with my little boy expecting a lovely lunch after work. Never seen a restaurant quieter and my god it reflects on the woman who was stood like lady muck behind the bar. Refused to serve me a drink or food due to accusing my friends of smoking in the car park (way before i got there may i add). Refused service. Manners absolutely shocking. I have never ever been tret or spoke to like this anywhere. Had to walk out and find an alternative restaurant to go have dinner. I will forever spread the word to family and friends about this horrible stinking place. The woman manager behind the bar needs to learn some respect. Make no wonder we were the only people in there. What a disgrace of a place and a poor excuse of staff.

Me and my mate had to wait for our deserts for an hour. When I got to the till to complain the guy asked another worker to go into kitchen and they brought it out so it was obviously just sat there the whole time. My own fault I should have asked for my money back. Won’t be making that mistake again

So me and my partner decided to go to this pub why did I bother should have stayed at home I had all day breakfast sausage cooked eggs one cooked one not tomato barley cooked chips some cooked most not my partner hunters chicken was cooked her chips look sad if I passed them in the street I would give them some money felt that sorry for them cheesy chips not very nice at the young lady that served us top marks I got a whiskey had been watered down than to top things of a manager was telling staff that come fathers day we will get cheap wine steam of labels change them for fathers day and charge £2 more for them shame on u 🥲🥲🥲🥲🥲🥲🥲🥲🥲🥲

We decided to go to The Roundhay to try their new menu, we usually enjoy going for a meal out with the kids once in a while and this is usually our go to pub. Today was different, we ordered table service on the app as we usually would but waited over half an hour just for drinks, I went to the bar for the person serving me to say he had forgotten to make our drinks order. After that our food order arrived, I ordered the new chicken and rib combo that’s supposed to come with half a flame grilled chicken and half a rack of ribs but I was disappointed to realise that they had given me maybe a quarter rack of ribs and a chicken leg that had never seen a flame in its life. Although the meal did taste nice the portion description is definitely false advertised. My partner ordered a ribeye steak (usually a prime cut of beef) cooked rare but when it tuned up it was more medium-well cooked and the vast majority of it fat and chewy. Overall very disappointed with tonight’s tea.

First of all, the lady behind the bar today was faultless. My experience with the food was terrible. It took them 3 times to get my order correct by which time everyone else with us had finished their food. When it eventually arrived in a takeaway box, the chips were cold and covered in black flecks, a sure sign that the cooking oil hadn't been changed since Noah was in shorts. I don't understand how a member of kitchen staff cannot read an instruction clearly. But then again, if you pay peanuts....... Won't be back and I suggest you don't go either.

It's a more than wonderful, fun place. It has everything I want to do, for a walk, sports games, children's toys, and everything I think about, I find. They have it. It's really wonderful. Don't miss out on you, your children, and your friends. The opportunity for everyone in this place.

Awful mixed grill. I usually get this and always decent. This time, the Gammon under cooked and raw in parts. Asked for medium steak and it was raw. Chicken well over done. Disappointed. Will stick to Kirkstall greene kimg for food.

Staff are rude and show no remorse for their own errors. This is mine and my partners first time in this establishment and it will be our last. They have the option to order through the Greene King app which my partner and I thought was ideal, but after our drinks and snacks not arriving after 30 minutes it was clear it was not. My partner went to the bar to see what was going on to be greeted with rudeness and a lack of a simple apology for the mistake. Additionally, whilst my partner was showing the bar staff the order on the app on my phone he had placed it on the to which the bar staff decided to pick up the phone without permission or without politely asking if they can pick it up - very unprofessional. Following this, after an enquiry about using the pool table we were greeted yet again with the same rudeness which in the end led us to be feeling rather annoyed so we decided to quickly finish our drinks and leave. We sought a quick few drinks and were left feeling rather fed up. The only positive side was that they show premier league football.

Marked food down didn’t have any so can’t say. Service was good staff friendly. Standard flaming grill pub little run down and toilets need a serious face lift
