Asda Beeston Supermarket in Leeds

Depressing, poorly stocked, surrounded by beggars and now you can't even take baskets out of the shop - I'd give it a miss if there was a genuine alternative, welcome to the 15 minute city...

I shopped here recently and bought some cooked meat and ate some the next day and then noticed it was 6 days past the use by date i was lucky not to get botulism who if anyone is doing stock checks in this place,lots of unfit bruised and mouldy fruit and veg too they need to buck up their ideas.i went in two days ago and bought a stir fry, noodles and a packet of sauce, the sauce was use by 4th of June, how the hell is stuff being sold that's 6+ weeks past the use by date, I'm done with this store now it's ridiculous...

Lack of products. Slow service and not enough staff. No opened tills at 7pm. I don't know what has happened to Asda

Useless shop again no mince beef in for the 2 week running asked an employee do you have any non alcoholic beer she replies “ ohh no we don’t sell that stuff here anyway it’s not that good just get the real thing” wow great thing to say to a recovering alcoholic in which alcohol free beer has helped me so much. Place is useless I’ll be going to Sainsbury’s just down road from now on

Most of the staff are very nice n helpful. But one young lady wearing glasses. She is very rude . She don't smile always had attitude problem.

How rude! A member of staff was very abrupt today and I was taken aback, as I have used this branch for the last 5 years with no issues. They have approachable and friendly staff. I mentioned this to another member of staff only to be told she was the manager!

The price are getting ridiculous!!! Despite the inflation rate being currently lowest in 3 years ,Asda is raising the prices ...and it's not just few % ! Take a lemons for example-I was buying them for £1 2 months ago,today I went to Asda and they're 40% more expensive at £1.40!!!!! No more shopping at Asda,I guess I'll have to stick to Lidl and Aldi

Well stocked, reasonably sized store. Paths around the store could be kept cleaner. It would be useful if it was possible to recycle batteries and plastic bags here 🙏♻️

Awful experience. No colleagues on till and hardly any on self-serve tills and staff clearly look overwhelmed. No cleaner in either to deal with broken glass in self-serve area. Buck up your ideas ASDA.

It is good for me. It has a good cafe, and l can get my shopping for the week. So happy. Cafe BIG Breakfast is back 😋.

Asda Beeston Provides a fantastic summer pizza meal this year for all especially fammily's with many kids. we do say a big thanks to the store management team for such generous provision.

I have been coming to this store for a while now so a review is in place the store has everything you need and want to buy it is also has shopping products and food produce that are relatively priced the best thing about using this supermarket is there is a bus stop adjacent to the store so ok for public transport to and from so the supermarket is a good gaffe and retail outlet it is also ideally situated in the locale area of Beeston leeds West Yorkshire.

Staff are very pleasant and happy to help. 500%.

.rude and unwelcoming staff . Always short of pizza and other fast going items. Always a long queue and short of staff. Dirty eating area with peoples left overs still on tables. Bad food..bad service bad value for money. .

Superb service in asda cafe by a guy called Nev, no pizza boxes this man boxed my pizza off.. Happy kids.. Customer service 100% happy.. Thank you this guy wants rewards

The cafe is always short of food ..they cant stock control as i went today for pizza but they didnt have any boxes to put them in pathetic really. They have new staff member who clearly dosent want to be there and couldnt care less. Unless the senior manager is there they dont care about customers and what service they are providing. They cant work unsupervised clearly. In a few words. incompetent..rude and untrained.

Really nice friendly staff and always like to help when needed and the security are friendly and close to home two will be coming in all the time to do my shopping 🛒

Love the cafe, pizza is good quality and chips are good and not soggy, Nice workers especially Harris. Also Kath in the ale checkout areas, so helpful and kind always there to help.

Some of the staff are lovely, but most of them don’t smile and are rude. My daughter likes to eat there, but the waiting time to be served is unacceptable. Train your staff properly or get more people to work. You are losing customers.

this is the scruffest cafe I have ever been in me and my friend have just had to wipe our knife and fork with a baby wipe because it had food bits on them I think its disgusting i don't know if its anything to do with the breakfast i had in your care im sick as a dog can't stop being sick that was the only thing I've had today

Poor shop, have electrical items and games on the shelf to sell but don't have them in-stock when taken to the till. Managers don't seem bothered or care it was very disappointing shopping experience

Very expensive now. And quality isn't the same neither . Iam not going anymore cause they really pushed prices too high . Always happy with the staff so far and Shop is really clean . But Asda became One of the most expensive Shop brand now . A mozzarela bag cost 90p in asda when everywhere else it's 40-65 p max . And there are a lot of other exemples.

Honestly asda is alright but my only issue is the earphones and ringlights. The left side of my earphones just stops working and the wire for my ringlight broke when it was positioned right

Well stocked with food items, toiletries, medicines, toys, books, cds & dvds and clothing for children and adults. Caters for wheelchairs and some types of mobility scooters. Very clean and hygienic. Cafe on site. Ample car parking

All the staff in green are lovely and very helpful but them rent a cops you have on the door are the reason I avoid this Asda. The constant stares and the following around by these wanna be cops is so annoying. Look I know they have a job to do to secure the place but I’ve been going in here since this Asda opened and still get i looked at like I’m a Thief.I never get this from Middleton asda security but That asda is further away from me beeston is more convenient. At first I thought maybe I’m being a little paranoid so me and my partner did a comparison over a month to see how’s she’s treated when in there alone I.e stared at or followed or the guards rising from their seat whenever we approach the exit compared to my experience.Not once did my partner experience any negativity from the security over 15 visits in the month. And on every occasion I shopped there whenever a guard was present the eye balling the following around happend on every occasion. Anyway you’ve lost a customer now I’ll take my shopping else where. Yes I’ll gladly give you a description 1st guard white male age roughly mid 40’s dark to greying hair approximately 5,11ft 2nd female white, blonde hair late 30’s early 40’s approximately 6ft although I haven’t seen her at the store In over 2 weeks. 3rd male age young 20’s approximately 6,1ft dark hair but as with the female I haven’t seen this guy in a while now. I guess the main stay guard is the mid 40’s male now. Each of the guards act exactly in the same manner whenever I enter the store. There is no reason for these guards to act in this manner. I’m a regular and know some of the green Asda workers by name and always have a lovely experience with these workers I’ve been a regular for over 5yrs at this Asda but I’ve had enough of it now.

Good sized shop with as much variety as any reasonable person might need. Efficient checkouts, too.

Very nice store with the option of eat in pizza

I love doing shop at Asda old lane, the quality of product it’s really nice. I’m customer for around 8 years my house is behind Asda, this place use to have a very good staff and still have that I know,but these days my god, sounds like they took problems into work, they have been very inpatient, Sometimes rude, and the way they look at you when you ask something OMG and always talk about customers mistake between team specially in front of customers, no one go to Asda ask food, people who go there, go for shopping. I know things haven’t been easy for no one these days but need to be more careful(always confronting customers and making them embarrassing)the way they speak to customers looks like we go there to beg anything. it’s never been easy to work with customers, I know because I work with customer as well, but the professionalism needs to come first, low down the attitude sometimes(Leave problem at home when you entered you workplace ) Advise:please stop choosing people by their face to give different treatment at shop. Customers have plenty shops around to go and don’t need such a angry staff to deal with.

Seems to have got worse in terms of selection and the last 3 times I've been there's been no one on the tills, which isn't helpful when you have a trolley full to put through self-service!

Only small but sometimes good things come in small packages and that's certainly true with this asda. It's only small but stocks all the staples and plenty besides so well done Asda...

It’s about time I put up a review about this place! What can I say… it’s bloody lovely! The store is clean, always has plenty of stock and most important of all the staff are amazing. I take my hat off to them for all their hard work. The last trip was this morning and a lovely young lady stood near the windows, near the self service was so friendly. As I said, the staff make this place what it is.

Three times this year staff at this store have asked to look in my bag and found nothing that hasn't been paid for I feel like I'm often judged in this shop for the way I look security guards have often gave me a funny look I have often left this store feeling embarrassed I often don't find the customer service in general very good at all it's been one of the most upsetting experiences that I've ever experienced in this shop I feel like I will be doing most of my shopping online and taking my business somewhere else from now on 3 times is a bit much I was told when I made a complaint that it wouldn't happen again but it's happened three times this year.

Decent for a small ASDA. Sometimes, BLC discount won't work, but otherwise, shopping is a smooth experience.

We're really lucky to have this store (+ it's petrol pumps & George collection) in Beeston. Sure, it's a smaller Asda so they don't have the full range, but you can fill in a lot of the gaps with click & collect. And the staff are great - really friendly and professional.

So I come in to use the bath room what a sight 💩all over the pot no paper it was on the floor others was bad too wake up food hygiene it was next to a cafe as well

Typical Asda shopping but compared to my local asda in ls10 needs to improve in kids clothing and toys.

Felt really unsafe in my visit here this morning.Multiple people not wearing face masks,and one lad openly eating his food at a self service till.Also many associates not wearing face masks/coverings either.Lady associate at store entrance maskless too.I talked to the staff at the entrance, they feel unsafe to confront maskless customers as they have faced abuse.Sort this out Asda management it’s neither fair on your staff or customers.Unacceptable.

Awesome local store The staff here are fantastic, and are willing to go out of their way to help. This can't be said for other Asda stores (Shipley for example). Only downside is due to the size of the store, some of the more niche items can't be found here

Idiots parking in the disabled bays, still a major issue. They obviously dont give a hoot for the disabled at ASDA. The parent company in USA is brilliant for disabled shoppers, someone needs to step up here in the UK.

Asda are at it again putting items in the 3 for £10 that don't apply. Neither the manager or his assistant are in when you want to complain. You then get looks that say you should know better and the security guard gives you the evil eye. As if a 71yearold pensioner is going to kick off Last time in any Asda store

Hello, I am a long-time Asda customer, for a long time one of your employees is standing at the self-service checkouts, always standing like a sheriff with his arms and watching the customers' hands, including mine. I don't like this fact very much because I don't like being watched. I guess that's what you got security and cameras for. An elderly gray-haired man with a yellow vest "how can i help". Hi roger I’ve just paid a visit to Asda Beeston branch today at 1:15pm I’ve had the worst experience I’ve ever had at any supermarket in my life. I spent £182 I’ve not realised that your trolleys are not allowed to be taken off site as I only live 1min away and was going to bring it back. Your onsite security have approached me and told me that it was not allowed to be taken of site which I said was fine I had a cigarettes in my hand and was finishing it off. Instead of polity waiting for me he asked me a further two times and spoke to me in such a rude and disrespectful manner to the point I felt alarmed and distress. I then took the trolly towards asda and spoke to the manager regarding the officers behaviour. He too spoke to me in a disrespectful way and as I told him I was bring it back to the shop I not once said I wouldn’t bring it back. Instead he was being patronising saying it’s common sense not to take a trolly. The manager Adam made me feel so angry and upset that I had to return everything disappointed in this service I will be letting everyone in my circle know with my video evidence I hope you actually do something about this matter and await to hear your response 05/08/2021 date and time 1:15pm asda Beeston

Asda Beeston has been very crowded recently without much social distancing as many of the customers dont keep to the distancing rules.

Nice little shop, good prices but not much variety. Queues regular, not enough staff on the tills at peak times. Checkouts empty not open whilst staff surely checkout trained are on shopfloor.

Most staff are great and friendly. A few of them especially so, as they recognise me and are always very welcoming (which for someone with anxiety, really puts me at ease) . There is a reasonably good selection of food but as its a small store, they don't stock everything and unfortunately quite often stop stocking things i buy regularly. I was gutted when they not only stopped stocking the normal peppered ham, but also their extra special version 🙁. I also notice that far too often the disabled parking is filled with non bluebadge holders and nothing has ever been done about it. Finally, it would also be good if only those with trollies could use the larger self service tills since there are more basket self service tills that trollies aren't allowed to use.

A big store to walk around good fresh food. Staff are friendly and helpful nice place to shop.

It is compulsory to wear face mask in supermarkets for EVERYONE, shop assistants and shoppers (unless you've a very very good reason not to wear) but when I did my shopping on Saturday (26th) I noticed people still can enter without face mask 😲 and 2 of the shop assistant (long blond hair woman and an older woman) don't wear mask at all. I remember when social distancing was 2m, the blondy was pretty rude to me. I bought beer and when she came to approve my shopping, she said "step back 2m" (that was the rule) no plaese or hi or whatever and now she event doesn't follow the rules. Why the manager can't make them follow the rules? I know for sure these 2 assistant can wear mask 'cause I've seen it before. This kind of rule-breakers are followed by others saying if they can do it why not? and this is the reason why we'll have more strict rules and a possibility for other national lock down. For God's sake just wear mask!

Absolutely appalled. Despite security on the door, plenty of staff in, there were multiple people without a mask, virtually no social distancing in the store either. I understand it is the responsibility of people to take precautions with regards to safety measures however I feel this also falls onto Asda too to ensure these are enforced. It’s the first time I’ve been to this store, I won’t be back.

DO NOT go to the cafe there. Vile food and its always cold. You won't get your moneys worth there. Oh and also they don't have half of the stuff on the menu

I like food and the workers work pretty hard and they are really nice and friendly but I don't think their slogan is true, I got pastries from there once for 50p and now it is £1.50 for one when I used to buy 4 for £1.50 and you might as well make 6 croissants by yourself for £2 than get 2 for £3. no offence but "save money, live better" should be more like "more money, less croissants, I mean all I want is a cheap good old croissants...

Great asda , the best i have been too . Staff are great . Manager spoke to use last time we were in and reassured us about food been on selfs dueing the virus plus they are stacking the selfs on a night, too keep them well stocked . Thank you asda beeston workers ,for been there dueing these hard times .

I can't recommend click & collect in Beeston. Arrival and check in 11:00. At 11:30 I ask a security guard to find anyone who can help me. After 11:50 groceries are brought to me and I start unloading the crates into bags. Service absolutely not nice at all. After 11:55 - my last departure from ASDA Beeston, won't be back.

I love asda know people and staff are going through a very difficult time at the moment but they are always very good with me im lisa holt and a very valued customer and I hope all the staff are fit and well see you all very soon yours lisa xx take care

closing time for saturday is wrong its says on web site closing 11pm when I went there staff told me close now its 10pm

Ultra slow food service and its like being in a third world country, appalling.

I do not recommend this store, I bought headphones there, which turned out to be broken, when I went to replace them, I was told that they did not exchange

35min wait just to get my order in and another 15min to get the food and only 5 customers in front of me. Stuff there run around like they don’t know what to do looks like the entire staff is on the first day at work here

Very disappointed with todays visit. No staff on tills at all and all the conveyor belts on self serve tills not working. 2 members of staff stood there gossiping with no intention of offering help at all. I get that its early and not busy but what next? Maybe giving customers a brush on way in to sweep up too?

Went to have morning breakfast. Its lucky its getting 1 star that is only because the cuppa was hot. Ordered 2 express breakfast, bacon under cooked still white and plenty of fat, beans clap cold, poached egg hard, sausage looks like left over from day before. However i did take it back and got a hot fresh breakfast. Wont be going again.

Small ASDA, but okay varieties of produce. Some Staff - are awfully rude & abusive. The 'gentleman' who is fairly old (50's) with glasses who is apparently manager of customer services (recently promoted) was so rude to me I suffered a panic attack in their store & ended up speaking to the young manager with ginger hair (he was fab). As I pulled him up on his comments and he became aggressive when I asked for his manager and to be served by another employee. Another employee - Kath - an older lady in her late 50's or 60's - blonde bob & glasses. Extremely awfully behaved - I asked how to add 5p carrier bags to the self service - she replied she would do it at the end manually. However this woman spent a good 15 minutes chatting with other colleagues (nothing to do with work) She grabbed me as I started to leave (after spending £80 on shopping and needing to get back to my disabled wife) and spoke to me like I was a piece of **** - constantly looking down at me and giving 'dirty looks'. I explained if she wasn't chatting she could have added the 20p charge on (this made her even more aggressive) and then she pulled my trolley back to the checkout and proceeded to start a new bill for 4 x 5p bags. I explained I had no cash & would have to pay by card - she replied -'tough'. Basically, ASDA values their customers at 20P. They would rather make 20P than loose 4k in a year of groceries I will now avoid at all costs & use Aldi where the staff are friendly and just all-round lovely (plus my shopping costs half as much!) *UPDATE* since shopping at Aldi due to the examples of ASDA staff above I have saved over £500! I’ve also been getting a lot more food from Aldi for my money than I did from Asda. If you shop here, stop! Go to Aldi Middleton & you won’t regret it

I always use this store virtually every day to buy what I need. No complaints from me. The cafe is an added bonus.

It's OK, local, clean, fairly well stocked. They have problems with the card machines on their self checkouts, they intermittently don't recognise cards and I have to then go to the kiosk to process my card payment - no one cares about this ongoing issue, staff openly state that head office won't do anything because its intermittent. It doesn't do it at any other asda or any other shop so it's obviously a problem with the machines at this store. Sort it out asda, I have driven three miles to go to a different supermarket because you frustrate me so much!

Cant get everything you get in the larger Asda. However its really useful and prices are good. Great to do a small shop and keep the pounds in check if your on a budget etc. Clean and tidy and pretty good at the tills. Even a small cafe that kids can eat for a pound. Good coffee and the food is nice too. Whats not to like.

Small Asda, good for a quick shop to pick up popular food items. Anything more exotic and you'll need to take a trip to the Asda at Morley.
