The best Arabic restaurant in Brighton. Diversity of varieties and high quality of cooking. Suitable for Gulf scholarship students. They have meat and chicken kabsa and meat and chicken mandi at low prices. I thank Chef Salah and sister Hayat. Very elegant treatment

Took our booking! Confirmation sent! Not open! Really! I love this place so much, but I'm extremely disappointed as it states you are open! We were supposed to be having a special celebration 🍾 lunch. Extremely bad customer service I'm afraid, on previous occasions I've given you a rave review. Are you opening again or not, as apparently you've been closed for about a week! According to the Turkish restaurant across the road!

We decided to try something different to eat whilst we were away on a vacation. The food was delicious, presented really well. The place was clean and staff very welcoming and friendly. Thank for such a great customer service and the most delicious cuisine I've tried.

My friends and I were there on a Saturday for lunch. We were absolutely blown away by the food (both the flavours and the portion sizes), service and the atmosphere. Like how others already mentioned it was all quite reasonably priced too! Definitely going back!

Great place, pleasant staff & lovely food. Never had Moroccan food before & we really enjoyed it.

Friendly restaurant - warm welcome and helpful polite servers. Clean, well-spaced tables. We liked the fact that, although there was pleasant music in the background, it was not too loud. We had lamb tagines, which were delicious. However, be very careful - they were served bubbling hot. I burnt my tongue. It's still sore next day! Only later, after we had left, did we realise we had not received the Lebanese bread we had asked for.

Amazing restaurant with amazing service! We were a table of 11 and we were very well looked after. The food was beautiful and true Moroccan cuisines. We had a variety of different dishes including the vege mezze platter, grills and tagines. We will definitely be coming back here on our next trip to Brighton!

Really good food and location. I came accross it without knowing what to expect but was really pleasantly surprised. We had Shish Tawouk and Mixed grill. Both were very tasty and cooked perfectly.

Local restaurant right in the heart of Brighton breach front. Great main adults and the menu also has courses and each menu caters for children. No booking required large tables to accommodate larger fatalities. The services were excellent and for a start they were really kind and pleasant The food exceeded my expectations. Dropped in after seeing the welcoming glow of lanterns and there wasn't any load music eminating from the restaurant , glad we did the food and service was amazing, we will definitely return, friendly waiter and manager,we were able to take our time and didn't feel pressured to leave after we had finished eating

Quite a nice pub, rather small tables for four, but lots of nice pot plants and and decor making it quite pleasant and parking outside. I wanted a butter chicken, but they had run out (not sure how you do that at 6pm) so settled for a meat pie instead. It was quite nice and service was friendly, you order at the bar.

We visited here on a weekday for lunch. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. We chose this restaurant as we required a vegan meal. We weren't disappointed. It is situated just out of the city centre, down a side street, so we did have to search a bit for it. The lunch menu is quite small (the dinner menu has more options) but the dishes we chose were very tasty and reasonably priced. Note If travelling with babies, they do not have highchairs available.

The lamb couscous was delicious, the meat was really good. The falafel was fine, if somewhat dry. Would’ve been nice to receive a little hummus with it. The mint yoghurt was good. Overall, good food.

I’m sure I’ve written a review before but this was so good it deserved another one. My family come here on every visit to Brighton and it never disappoints. Indeed I’m surprised it’s not busier as the food is very good and cheap. Great relaxed ambiance too. Despite not being here for two years the host remembered us, a nice touch. Mixed meze for 1 is a great starter for two people, my wife had the lamb tagine, I had tagine lamb kebab, both delicious. With my child getting a kid’s portion and no corkage for the wine it worked out £41 before tip. Absolute bargain.

Very tasty food, large portion. The environment is very nice as well. I was expecting the chicken kabsa to be on the bone. But it was cube chicken which is not authentic.

We had such a wonderful time at Rotana. It's centrally located, just a short stroll to the beach, a beautiful interior, charming staff and most importantly delicious food! We felt spoiled by such an experience and the price is shockingly cheap! Highly recommended for people looking to dine without breaking the bank+ BYO 🤙

Rotana is the best place for Morocco foods. Very nice atmosphere, kind staff. We have tried chicken Tajin with Vegetables. Definitely i will come back again, more than 5 stars for the unforgettable experience… thanks Mohammed. Don’t forget to try the Moroccan tea.

Thank you Mohamed. You appeared to be working solo, but were courteous, and unrushed. The food was really good. The mixed mess for 1 was enough for both of us, and the lamb tajine with saffron was amazing. There are a few halal places in this street. I am glad we choose this one. No alcohol is sold.

نجمتين فقط عشان الاكل مقبول فقط و اسعاره مقبولة .. لكن للاسف العصيرات عندهم غير طازجة و ايضا الطلب يتأخر قرابة النص ساعة و فوقها نفسية الموظف بشعة و نفسه بخشمه ! يضحك مع الاجانب و يرحب بس من اتكلم معه و يعرف انك عربي ينقلب البني ادم 180 درجة ههههه ! و للاسف ما فيه ويتر يخدم بالمكان غيره هو !

Service was friendly if a bit chaotic. Starters of moutabal and chicken livers were good but the tagines were a joke. Both clearly were precooked stews, lacking much flavour. One claimed to be cooked with prunes, the other with preserved lemons but what a disappointment. The fruit was not cooked within the dish but simply added on top. No subtle flavours, simply bland. Not my idea of tagines.

Lovely decor, food was fresh and delicious. The waiter could have been a little more on the ball but the well priced lovely food made up for it!

Excellent quality food, the waiter is the best, the food is not expensive, the atmosphere is very nice, and it’s an Arabic restaurant and halal. There is a TV you can watch if you want to. The average price it 10 to 15 pounds. And if you come to Brighton you must visit it.

Had a lovely meal here, had a mezze platter, falafels, flat breads, hummus, tabboleh etc, it was delicious, authentic decor and music, men smoking hookah pipes on the outdoor seating all added to the atmosphere, only downside to this experience were the toilets downstairs, really needed redecorating and could have been cleaner, but would return on next trip to Brighton

Our favourite place to eat in Brighton, moved away 2 years ago and it's the only thing I miss from Brighton. Coming back over this Saturday for the veg meze😁

We were celebrating a friends birthday, and he chose this restaurant because he walked past it the previous day. What a find ! We ordered a few starters to share and the tabouleh and the falafel in particular was the finest I have ever eaten. We ordered 4 different mains and we were all delighted with the quality and flavour of each meal. The portions were also very generous. Mohamed, who looked after us, was attentive, completely in control and made us feel very comfortable. To top it off, to get food of this quality for the price charged is very unusual. If you have yet to experience Lebanese cuisine, or are already familiar, this restaurant will not disappoint in either case.

I am so amazed by the hosptality and the brilliant food (Do ask for the special Chilli sauce). And the Morrocan tea is cherry on the cake. The person who served us was so kind. Must try when you visit Brighton, this place will brighten your day ❣

Lovely food, good service and prices. It's BYO so needs a little prep but I'm happy with that plus there's no corkage charge so really good value.

This place opens at 12 noon, we get there at 1:50pm to discover the place was locked, and someone that works there just sitting around. We knock on the door and he puts his hand up and carries on ignoring us. We walk around, then decide to try again at 2pm (big mistake). He basically treated us like beggars. He unlocks the door and finally let's us in, he apologises, claiming that the waiter is late and would we like to come in and wait (quite frankly we don't, we have better things to do with out time). We go in and use the bathroom, there's no toilet roll, and the liquid soap is diluted to death, not really wise with covid lurking around. We sit down, and the table is black with filth. That is the last straw. I put my hand up to ask him to clean this place up, but he's far too busy on the phone chatting with some women. Hes giggling, just chatting rubbish, at this point it actually feels like a prank he was behaving so badly. Instead of sitting around talking on the phone, why not clean the place up? We walk out at this point, and he has the nerve to look offended. What did he expect? This is supposed supposed be a place of business, not his front room. We know if we did order food here it will never arrive and even if it did, I would never eat in such a filthy place. This is no way to run a business.

By far, my favorite Moroccan restaurant. The most delicious lamb tajine with prunes you'll have. The vegetables and chicken cous cous is also exceptional. The salads and appetizers are always fresh. Staff, is also amazing and very accommodating. The owner is a classy gentleman who's most of the time there himself and always makes sure that everyone is happy, satisfied and welcome. I always make sure to visit when I'm in Brighton. A beautiful family-run place.

This place has a really good quality and really cheap food! We were all so surprised we will be coming back again and again! You can bring your own bottle which makes it even more attractive. Really good service and they will look after you so well. I felt like I was in someone's house and they were trying to impress me. Please make sure you visit.

Poor quality food. Tagine was dry and just a few prunes thrown in as an after thought. There are much better middle eastern restaurants around.

We arrived and the place was empty. It took ages for the waiter to seat us as he had headphones in and was too busy watching TV to notice we were there. The food was okay, not the worst but nothing special either. We didn't get a warm welcome at all, especially compared to other similar restauranrs where we are offered fresh bread before our food.. nothing at all here! Not even a little convo. The waiter didn't even come over to ask how the meal was, and it took him forever to notice we wanted the bill as he was watching TV with some other men. I wouldn't ever visit again.

Probably my favourite cuisine is middle eastern and Rotana does not disappoint. Friendly staff and great Moroccan atmosphere. The food is beautifully prepared with lovely middle eastern spices and flavours. The portions are generous and very reasonably priced. Highly recommended.

We ordered the chicken tagine and mixed grill. They were not fresh and really disgusting. The chicken was dry and fried. And the meat was covered in tomatoe. Even the rice taste weird. We were not happy and felt it was not Moroccan cooking. Quite disappointed by this service and food quality.

They don't serve alcohol but they allow you to bring your own as long as you have a main course. very child friendly atmosphere at a very reasonable price. highly recomended
