Rossetti in South Northamptonshire

We have come here a number of times over last 15 years, it has always been excellent. The starters were beautiful, as was the main pasta course. Full of flavour and you can tell is all made freshly. Definitely recommend.

The Goats cheese starter was to die for and the rest of the food did not disappoint! Absolutely superb- 5 ⭐️ Staff are so lovely too!

Lovely birthday meal, and I can’t believe we’ve not visited Rosetti before! Lovely food and great atmosphere. A real local gem - will definitely be coming back.

Great authentic Italian food. We went with friends and all 4 Starters and mains looked and tasted very good. Can recommend the goat’s cheese wrapped in prosciutto and filo pastry and deep fried as a starter and Spaghetti al Granchio - spaghetti with white claw crab meat, king prawns, clams and courgette. Flavoured with garlic, white wine and baby tomatoes. Good portion size nice ambiance. Good service. We will definitely go back

Having been to a rather swish Italian restaurant in Milton Keynes overlooking a Lake. Visiting Rossetti was a lovely surprise, excellent food very friendly staff. The only problem was it took us all ages to select our meals, as everything was so tempting, the beauty of which we have to go back and do it all again. Big thank you to the chef (owner) and all his team for a lovely meal at an excellent value for money total cost.

Booked a table on the last night of our visit to to the lovely town of brackley. We were not disappointed from the second we came through the door the staff were attentive and very polite. The young man especially was very professional. The food was really good we had the goats cheese starter and the focaccia side to start. The sun-blushed tomatoes on top of the bread were so good and beautifully seasoned. Both our starters were really good. For our mains we had the traditional carbonara and tortellini Gorgonzola both were extremely tasty and the carbonara was sooo good and definitely better than an English carbonara no cream or chicken needed here. We hope to return to the area next year and will definitely be returning here when we do.

Disappointed as our meal didn’t meet expectations from previous reviews. Portobello mushroom starter was two smaller field mushrooms and a tiny bowl of salad for £8.95. Not worth the price. Tasted nice in 4 bites only Husband had mains of seafood pasta with crab unfortunately no flavour of crab so rather bland. Carbonara and gnocchi with ribs were ok

quite possibly the best Italian that I’ve ever been to. The chef here really knows his stuff the food is absolutely delicious. If I could I would give this place a couple of Michelin Stars. I never write reviews but felt I had to cos each and every time I’ve been the food blows me away. I usually go for the lamb but last time I had the Smoked Salmon tagliatelle. Just tooooo good.

Very warm and welcoming. Food was delicious and service was excellent. Don’t know how busy it gets on the weekend but it was an excellent choice mid week dinner with friends. Will be back soon

4 of us visited and had a lovely meal. The food is outstanding, feels like you are eating in a local restaurant in Italy. This is definitely the best restaurant in brackley.

We have been a few times, each time with our baby and the staff have always been very accommodating and friendly.The food was a welcome surprise given our other experiences in Brackley.Easily as good as Italian restaurants we've been to in London.Highly recommend

My brother came down for the weekend and decided to go to Rossetti, the food was fantastic , I must stress that the staff were brilliant and a big thank you to Shannon and shelby for a great night of fun and laughter , we gave them some banter but took it in there stride , also thanks to Ryan who also took some stick It was a great night and will be returning very soon thanks again pete

We have been to the restaurant quite a few times before and have had no reason to complain even when we took a group of 14 but this time just found the service slow, we were there for 2 3/4 hours and don’t think we had anything strange, we waited along time for the deserts to come out, one cold the other warm plus 2 coffees which the server came out with one item each time plus had to come again with spoons. On the good side I will say the food was still as good as before.

Once we realised it was down a little side turning we managed to find this fantastic place!Service was welcoming and friendly.Food was very tasty and nicely presented Choice wasn’t huge but then you know it’s all freshly prepared!Very reasonable price and would definitely recommend to anyone in the areaJust a shame we don’t live closer as visiting the area for the weekend

It was our first visit to Rossetti and definitely won’t be our last. A lovely warm welcome from the owner and his team and the food was delicious. We were well looked after. We would highly recommend and can’t wait to come again soon.

We had dinner here, whilst on a short break in Hinton in the Hedges, based on the excellent reviews and we were not disappointed. Our first visit was in a Wednesday evening when the restaurant was quieter than usual but the staff, including the proprietor, were so friendly and welcoming we booked again for the Friday night when it was quite busy. Nonetheless service on both occasions was exemplary. The food was excellent. My wife had the Spaghetti Rossetti and I had the Pollo Valdonstana on the first occasion. On the second visit my wife had the mushroom risotto and I had the Pollo Valdonstana again -it was so good! Delicious food and lovely staff made both occasions thoroughly enjoyable. Starters (garlic king prawns and Portobello Gratinati) and deserts very good too. I thoroughly recommend this restaurant.

A tremendous find. A warm welcome upon arrival. Great drinks selection and friendly understanding and supportive staff. The menu is NOT Domionos or Ask Pizza but if you do have fussy little ones the chef will happily accommodate their needs as he did for us. Thanks for a nice evening,

We went for an early bite to eat last night, the restaurant is nicely set out with a nice ambiance. I ordered a drink which they did not have so asked for sparkling water and lime but they had no fresh lime so ordered 2 lemonades which cost £2.50 each but it wasn’t nice cold draft lemonade it was being poured from a Tesco lemonade bottle which I was surprised about as i get the same lemonade for home which costs 40p a bottle. My partner had the fillet steak which was cooked to perfection and he loved it and I had the the mushroom risotto which was nice but a tad bland. The staff were really attentive though.

This is a lovely little restaurant and the food we had was lovely but unfortunately we were not offered the dessert menu and when I mentioned this they said that because we had ordered coffees they didn't think we wanted any but we explained we had been sat there a while before we did this and still no dessert menu. I also feel that the waiters and waitresses could do with a bit more training as it felt that they did not know what each other were doing and also always messing about with their hair which in this current climate is not good. As I said the food was lovely and would definitely recommend it.

Delicious food, I asked for a slight change to my meal so the chef came out and made a suggestion for the changes and wow it was wonderful! Hubby had the seafood risotto and enjoyed every bit of it. Very friendly and helpful staff. Highly recommended. Will definitely be back.

My family went for a meal on Saturday evening to celebrate my granddaughters eleventh birthday. The meal was delicious, the service perfect and everyone was so friendly. We had a lovely evening and I can’t thank them enough. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone. Great place to spend an evening if you like delicious, authentic Italian food.

We always use Rossetti’s for family occasions As always the food was first class along with a good selection of wines. All the tables were occupied but we felt COVID-19 safe which is not the case in other locations. Staff very friendly and helpful will be visiting again shortly

We went last night, we had a table for 3. My mum visited myself and my husband and we have wanted to try this restaurant and we are so glad we did ! The waitress was brilliant, friendly and attentive. Brought us bread and olives to start which was a Lovley start to the meal. The food was delicious and All our our food was filled with so much flavour, the perfect amount of food we were given as well. The wine was really good as well. We all had starters and mains.It was absolutely gorgeous meal. The staff were brilliant. The atmosphere was beautiful. We were so pleased we went. We will return. I recommend it to everyone and anyone.

Staying in a hotel up the road and found the cute little Italian. Great chilled atmosphere with nice rustic decor. Beautiful food and service and covid secure. Would highly recommend

We stayed overnight in Brackley and found this restaurant on Tripadvisor. It’s a cosy and inviting spot with very friendly and helpful staff. I had asked (when I booked) if a vegan diet could be accommodated and they said no problem. My food was lovely and specially prepared. Also a great wine selection. We had a lovely evening and the price was very reasonable and good value for money. I would definitely recommend Rossetti.

My husband took me her on a work friends recommendation and very glad he did. Friendly waiter and nice food we both had the pate to start and I had the monkfish which was very yummy I didn't have dessert but my husband had the cheesecake which he said was very nice. Will definitely be back.

This place is lovely. Everything is great. Freshly cooked food served piping hot. Generous portions. The loveliest waitress, so patient with my very indecisive family!! Visited this evening for my boyfriends birthday, and we were all blown away with how incredible this place is! I have been a couple of times before a few years ago, but this evening was sensational and we will definitely be back again soon! Firstly I would like to say how safe we felt regarding COVID, and reading some previous reviews on here I can only guess they must have been in a different resturant! Tables were well spaced, staff wearing masks, hand sanitizer everywhere, very clean and saw the waitress thoroughly cleaning other tables etc. The food was wonderful, three of us had the steak which is well worth the price you pay! However there are plently of other cheaper items on the menu which I certainly wish to try next time. The waitress serving tonight on her own was fantastic (sorry I didnt get her name) , very efficient and managed the resturant well on her own. She was attentive and friendly and made us fee very welcome. A credit to your staff! The chef also came out to say hello and again at the end thanked us which was a really nice touch! We will definitely return!

I love this little restaurant and frequented prior to lock-down. Great food, service and atmosphere. When the announcement came, whilst a little apprehensive to say the least, I wanted to support the local business and find some normality. I certainly wouldn't want to see it suffer due to the pandemic. I booked a table for me and my husband (who is coeliac and eats here with confidence - *not the pasta!) and plucked up courage to venture out. On opening the door to the restaurant we were immediately greeted by the ever friendly staff who maintained a safe distance whilst wearing face masks. They indicated to the (already very prominent) hand sanitiser that was on a table at the entrance, to name but one location. We were directed to our table with a question asking if we were happy with the position. We were. The table we had was void of cutlery and menus, we were advised a menu would be brought and our drinks orders were taken. Our menus were laminated and the choices have been adapted to allow the chef to provide variety but without being overwhelmed and allowing for all the extra precautions and delays. The menu was a single, wipe clean laminated sheet and the dessert menus on a small blackboard presented and held by the staff only. Our cutlery was presented on a tray and napkin wrapped. The pepper and Parmesan and condiments were brought and provided by staff only and we needed to handle nothing other than our cutlery and glasses. I used the toilet whilst there and as it is small I was intrigued as to how it might work! Clear notices stating that one person only in the toilet area at a time. This meant there were no awkward situations of patrons bumping into each other on entry and exit. Liquid soap, paper towels and hand sanitiser all readily and obviously available. There was a real cross section of people in the restaurant and it was lovely to see it so busy but it felt totally safe and the staff were amazing. I like the fact they wear masks and I feel for them as it is a warm place and the heat has been so challenging. Their smiles and positive nods of the head were consistent. I have spent the last ten years in health care and have medical friends across the board with family and friends who are front line workers. I am overly cautious about infection control according to some of my friends. I will not hesitate to eat at this restaurant and wish them well. Thank you for a lovely taste of safe normality!

We booked a table here and I wish we had not as although I love the food and love going there, I did not feel Covid secure at all. Hand sanitiser inside the door, but not asked to use it, no collection of personal cotact information and no tables removed. Everything just the same. If another couple had come in and sat at the table next to us, I would have felt very uncomfortable. The staff wear masks and when we mentioned that there was not a lot of Covid secure measures in place we were told they were trying to make it as normal as possible. I am afraid we would not be back in a hurry unless things change, which is a shame as we usually eat there at least once a month

Had a fabulous meal there last night. The food was lovely, infact delicious. Staff were very attentive and polite. There was anti bac on the way in, and all waiting staff wore masks, (which not all restaurants do). I felt very well looked after and the restaurant felt COVID safe. WillBe back for sure.

This has been the first time we have eaten out since lockdown. I was so pleased to see all the waiters wearing masks and the tables spaced out to ensure social distancing. The ambience is lovely and the food very nice. I had the most delicious starter - mushrooms in a creamy sauce and the monkfish which was beautiful. The only thing that I would have liked would have been some nice bread with my starter to mop up all that lovely sauce. We weren't offered any so not sure no bread is the norm. Otherwise, a lovely experience and will definitely return.

We went for our anniversary and it was the first meal out since lockdown. The staff as usual were friendly helpful and Happy . The owner also came out and said hi and was happy to see us. The food was amazing we had prawns and goats cheese to start and the meatballs and gnocchi for main. I love this restaurant . Never disappoints and they have managed the Covid situation really well

This was our first outing since lockdown, we were met by masked polite staff who indicated a hand sanitizer station by the entrance door, there were a few tables with people on and a nice relaxed atmosphere upon entering. We were met by the owner with a lovely greeting and then shown to our table, the spacing were perfect and it felt very safe. It was good to see the adjacent table of older diners enjoying themselves too. We had large juicy garlic prawns to start and the mussels. The starters were fantastic. We order a bottle of Bardolino red that went well with all the dishes, so well in fact that we found ourselves ordering another. For main course I had the monkfish which again was well cooked with great flavour, we had a lamb dish and a meatballs and spaghetti, again all really tasty and enjoyable. We conclude with the panacotta which was amazing and I fully recommend it!All in all it was great to go out and dine again, the restaurant feels safe, with hardworking friendly staff, it felt good to see people at there tables, laughing, smiling and sharing again generating a perfect atmosphere, I would strongly recommend Rosseti’s.

Family meal; our first in lockdown. Outstanding food and great service. So refreshing not to see pizza or garlic bread on the menu. Tasty bruschetta and goats cheese wrapped in prosciutto starters. My main course of lamb was succulent and so tasty; served with sauté potatoes and buttered greens. Just enough space for home crafted authentic tiramisu and a cafè. What a wonderful hidden gem; we will be back!

I have lived in the town for 4 years and have frequently walked passed this place and never given it a second thought. One evening we decided to give it a try to mix it up from our usual places. Well what a delight. The atmosphere was very nice and cosy, very helpful staff. The food was super as well. I was a little surprised no pizza on the menu but the authentic Italian dishes on offer were great. Looking forward to going back!

This was my first time visiting Rossetti’s despite living in Brackley for 15 years - I am devastated I haven’t found it sooner! The restaurant was in a beautiful setting and had a great atmosphere. Staff were friendly and attentive. But the absolute star here was the food. I rarely order 3 courses but it was impossible not to with this menu. My friend and I made sure to order different things so we could try as much as possible (though it was hard to share my tiramisu!). It was all excellent! I can’t wait to make this a regular outing, and share with friends and family. A must visit!

Greeted with a smile and served quickly with Prosecco whilst we took our time over the menu. Spoilt for choice but eventually choices were made and the simple but delicious food was soon delivered. Starters of Mussels for two and the Portabello mushrooms were excellent and led to the main courses which also were enjoyed . All very authentic unlike some who pretend to be italian restaurants because they do plate full of pasta and pizza. Would recommend to all and will visit again.

We visited on a Saturday night in the midst of Storm Dennis. The restaurant was pretty busy - there were a couple of empty tables but I suspect that was due to the weather!Service was a little slow - I think we were forgotten about and waited over 45 minutes between entering and placing our food order - but the staff were apologetic. We were enjoying our wine so wasn't a huge problem.The menu was great, we collectively decided we'd probably eat everything on it. The food was tasty with decent portion sizes. We also had dessert, the menu is a little smaller but still had the classic Italian favourites and they were delicious.I'd definitely visit again and would recommend others to, it's a great find in a small town.

The food is consistently good in this restaurant. Also in the restaurant the atmosphere is very jolly especially on Saturdays as you would expect. They used to do specials but don't seem to do that any more and the menu stays the same but there is enough to choose from. Staff are all lovely and efficient.

Very good Italian food with excellent staff. It's a shame that the passage to the entrance to the restaurant us not very inviting, some Christmas lights would make a big difference. However, within the restaurant it's as inviting as ever!

The food is very good and it is very busy on a Saturday evening.Really good attentive staff. One thing they really need to do us to put a closure on the men's loo door as there is a view of the urinal from the restaurant and sometimes it is in use.........

Most enjoyable evening at Rossetti in Brackley. Antipasti, foccacia; tagliatelle with smoked salmon and asparagus, pan fried fillet of pork with sage, onion and marsala, spinach, lamb rump, braised with peas in a garlic and white wine rosemary sauce, with roast potatoes and cavolo nero, king prawns with olive oil, garlic, white wine and flat leaf parsley; Bardolino; tiramisu, panna cotta; espresso, grappa, Jameson's. Charming service, and a warm welcome from Chef. Nice.

We had a party of 15 at Rossetti last night and what a great night it was. The restaurant had arranged a long table on one side so we could all talk to one another. The food was great, the service very, very good considering the restaurant was full anyway but they got a system going and no one had to wait long for the dishes to come out. The girls serving deceived a medal as they did not get uptight at all and were very attentive. Thank you Rossetti's for making our 50th Wedding Anniversary as great as our 40th (Nile Cruise)

Evening was going well etc until we saw Owner come out of the kitchen and the way he spoke to member of staff, appalling, totally ruined the ambience of the evening. Other guests saw it as well and were commenting. Wonder he has any staff left with the way he spoke to her and continued to come out and chant instructions rudely. None of the staff looked happy. Won't be going back.

This review is written in response to an earlier review titled birthday party which does not reflect the views of the whole party bar one immature whistle blowing person. My husband and I are regulars to Rossetti and couldn’t think of anywhere nicer to celebrate mine and a friends birthday as a group of 12.

Having eaten here many times and many great meals at Rossetti’s this time as it was my birthday I decided on the T bone steak.

As a party of 12, and booked well in advance, it was disappointing to have been pushed in a corner with 5 one side, 6 the other side and 1 on the end.

Thursday evening....... So Quiet early on but others joined later. Service was excellent and we were able to create own pasta dish combinations which was fantastic!

I had been meaning to visit this place for years but put off by some of the prices so waited for a very special occasion. Really excited to finally visit however, as my first visit I found the food was mostly 'ok'.

Highly recommended for any celebration if you are looking for an authentic Italian meal/evening. The service is very good s well as being friendly & helpful. My wife normally meets her ex-colleagues there when they come to Brackley and it seems to be their place of choice when venturing out from Banbury.

Rosetti is a hidden gem in Brackley. The food is to die for - I had the gnocchi and it was the best I’ve had outside of Italy. Service is spot on - the waitress was so lovely and not intrusive which I personally like.

This was a lovely start to a birthday celebration weekend. The food was great with that family run Italian feeling. Could do with more vegetarian selection, but that said being vegetarian and not liking mushrooms is sometimes a problem, but not here. The staff were excellent, thanks Emma and Charlotte for the great service. Everyone was happy with their meals. The garlic bread was lush and the cheesecake was delicious. I had the spinach and ricotta pasta with blue cheese sauce, would recommend. If you want a nice family night out this is the place to go. The atmosphere was good and reasonably priced.

Love coming here with friends, I have always had a wonderful evening with wonderful food and service!! Will always be back for more

A lovely little local restaurant with freshly cooked Italian food. Personal and polite service from a young team of very helpful and happy staff clearly working hard and enjoying their environment. The food was prompt despite being a full restaurant with Christmas parties in and we were seated quickly with a swift delivery of drinks. Definitely worth a visit and we will return.

WOW. The food is exceptional - the best Italian outside of Italy I've ever had. The atmosphere is beautiful, and the owner (Massimo) is a true gentleman and wonderful host. We've been there a number of times, and it seems to always maintain the highest of standards. Don't miss this place, it's a hidden treasure!

An Italian owned restaurant where the owner produces lovely food, with a good menu choice, in a lovely atmosphere with a good table service. A lovely way to spend an evening with family or friends.

My wife & I had dinner here for our wedding anniversary on Wednesday 21st November. The food was amazing, the service excellent & great value for money. We will be returning very soon. Well done.

This place is quite simply the best restaurant in Brackley and the best Italian between Oxford and Cambridge by some way. The menu is more limited, the wine list curated, and it genuinely reminds you of the real experience. We'd come back from Apuglia looking to find a reminder. Massimo may be a Roma, but he delivers every time.

Without question the best Italian I have ever eaten in. The food was unbelievable, so good we went back a second night as was down for the Silverstone Classic. The service from the young lady (sorry I’ve forgotten her name) but she had returned to work there after previously working at the restaurant. We are going back to the Classic next year and will definitely be in for a meal, in fact might even drive the 90+ miles just for the food another time. Just brilliant!

We had a wonderful time last night when friends & family took over the restaurant with 47 guests to celebrate our 25th Anniversary. Mass & his staff did us proud....the food was "delicious", "amazing" and the staff were so attentive we had so many comments about it....thank you for making it such a special & memorable night.

Went here for a family birthday with a fair sized group (6 adults, 4 children). We had pre-booked so had been asked to give our meal choices beforehand. The meals all arrived with no issues, portion sizes of both starters and mains was excellent. The children were able to share an adult main or smaller portions of the menu were offered at a lower price. All the food was lovely and everyone enjoyed their meals very much. We all left very full and happy. Variety of menu options at different prices and excellent value for money. Highly recommended and we will definitely be going back.

Family meal for 4. Made to feel very welcome. Menu had a good choice of Italian food. Bit pricey, but soon found out why. Presentation was excellent, & the food was very very tasty. Defiantly a place for a special meal.

This was our first visit to Brackley and friends recommended Rosetti's. Although it was a Friday evening, it was very quiet. I ordered the lamb rump dish which was delicious, followed by the panna cotta which was also tasty. Only criticism was we were left waiting so long to order a coffee we decided not to bother, and also waited ages to pay the bill. Would definitely go back if we are in the area.

After all my years in Brackley I can not believe I haven’t visited here sooner! I went with some friends last night for the first time (sat 21/04/18) and would recommend reserving a table here, which we had. It was busy, but the food, service and atmosphere was amazing and I will certainly be visiting again! A delight to have in our little town! Thank you Rossetti!

Had dinner here last night. Friendly service. Good atmosphere. Two of us had king prawns as a starter, and on pate. All good. Then one veal, one pork and one lamb as mains. Very tasty. A bottle of prosecco to share. No deserts. £120 all in.

Took a party of 11 to Rossetti, had a great evening. It was a Friday evening so I cannot speak for a weekend but assume the service would be as good. Could not fault the service or the food, wine was good too.I have feedback from some of the guest and their thoughts were the same as mine. Will be going back with no problem. It is great to find a good place on your own doorstep.

Visited here with friends on a Saturday night, warm welcome and had a choice of tables in the rustic Italian restaurant with exposed brickwork and arches reminded us of Florence. Food was fantastic all around, each dish was excellent well cooked seasoned and must say all the sauces I tried where out of this world good. The service was pretty good apart from trying to get the bill but this is only a minor point and as we where not in a rush it didn't detract from the experience, it was typical Italian style. Overall the food was the main star of the evening and can't wait to come back and try some more dishes.

Went here on the spare of the moment, and have got to say it is one of the best little finds, for a cosy night, with great service and fantastic food, I would be happy to recommend Rossetti to anyone, not much else to say really, loved it and will be going back again very soon.
