Seven of us came for lunch for the first time. Really impressed. Girls are lovely and attentive. Food is really good value for money. Highly recommend!

Was served by Ellie who was really attentive with us and had very positive attitude considering it was extremely busy! The place looks incredible since reopening and the staff are all lovely. The food quality has improved a lot and the portion sizes are perfect! Will definitely be returning

Visited today for the first time since it reopened and wow it was fantastic!! I went with my partner and her mum and we were served by Ellie who made sure we always had a drink and ensured there were no empty dishes on the table. She was very polite and friendly and helped us with everything we needed. Staff were fantastic and the place looks a lot better. Thanks👍🏼

Good value food, but cafe a bit soulless & bare lacking any atmosphere

I would not give it a star at all, tapped my card and it was a different price, was told it was a tip, how dare they, staff are slow and obviously not trained, place stunk

Undercooked cheesy chips £4.50 Tuna butty not drained enough £5.95 Couldn't taste stuffing on turkey butty & cranberry just a small central splattering £6.00. Tiny side salad and a pinch of crisps. For £22 it fell short in quality.

Staff on the counter is so rude. One minute que up to order then sit at svtable, back to queue up now go to the till and give till number. As if we shud no the system currently in operation. TILL NUMBER!!! and the look. Terrible!!!

Just had possibly the worst breakfast of my life. Sausage was edible but not particularly nice, bacon was awful, beans were cheap and horrible, the cheap frozen hashbrowns were the highlight and the toast was lathered in margerine. If there was a lesson on how to produce a terrible breakfast, these would be teaching it. I'd have rather thrown the £9.50 in the bin and saved myself the trouble of driving here if I'd have known.

Another fantastic family meal with very friendly staff and Graham as the owner. All of us enjoyed our various meals and the steak pie was the best I've had for many years. What a pleasant way to spend Sunday with the family. I thoroughly recommend a visit. See you again very soon. Came today as a family group and had an excellent Christmas meal. Homemade soup,full Christmas meal and Christmas pudding. Graham and the staff are always so friendly and helpful. Lovely to see the restaurant so busy today but they coped so well.

Quite low quality ingredients and the food was not tasty

I came today for the first time to a wonderful afternoon tea. They made me the best Gluten Free I’ve tasted in a long time. Can’t wait for the next one. Staff so lovely and friendly. Well done.

Ordered chips eggs and ham. Chips were amazing, rock hard, more like nails disguised as chips, must have taken ages to get that perfection..

Got bacon on toast. Like eating a piece of cardboard. Left it. Nothing special about the cup of tea. Won't be going there again.

Food was nice, when it arrived, about 8 tables were full of dirty dishes which wasn't a nice sight!

Standalone Cafe at Sefton Meadows GC. Seemed two-thirds closed on last, mid-afternoon, visit and restricted menu too? Staff helpful and food OK/Good... but just failed to impress???

Terrible meal, ordered pie, chips and vegetables was told would include mushy peas. Pie top was not cooked, a few peas and carrots in with the mince, no mushy peas and a few soggy chips, would not recommend

Popped in for an impromptu lunch. There was a small queue as there was a Tom Jones event happening. Got to the till to order and the girl asked for a table number. I said I didn't have one but will sit in the quiet part round the corner. She said she couldn't order without a table number so I had to walk round, find a table number, and come back to give it to her. By this point, the queue for the Tom Jones event was huge so we decided to leave. Surely she could have said, don't worry, we'll come and find you. Very disappointed.

Staff boss I think she was,, on the till, seemed quite uninterested in customer's quite snooty. waited a good while for food that was already cooked on the hot plate,, chips were luke warm and bland cheap ones at that, restaurant had dead flies all over window ledges and food debris over floor, outside area couches and table dirty, all in all not a pleasant experience which was a shame as the home made quiche was very nice,

Quite disappointing. Food deal was £8 for sandwich and drink but was charged 17. 50 for 2. Waited nearly half an hour for food and coffee, coffee was awful and I did give feedback to staff who just said they would tell the person who made it. It was very very weak and I bought bottled water instead, but not offered a replacement. Sandwiches were lovely and lots of choice, so perhaps order in advance and drink tea instead!

Popped in to get a bit of lunch. It's very large inside. Nice choice of food and reasonably priced. Very friendly young staff. The only things that let it down were the loos and the outside space. Loos were a bit of a mess. Tables outside were scruffy and dirty. Bit of a mish mash of styles of tables and chairs - some absolutely covered in bird poo. Considering it's a garden centre there could have been nice pots and planters making it more attractive.

Have not been here for a long time. Lovely breakfast, great service. Definitely be going again soon.

Dyu know that they know they're pants?! They should by now 🤔 I ordered leek n potato soup with croutons and a warm roll as per the menu (I'm so bored with this place). I received, 1,000 hours later, last weeks generic buy tasty brown soup with a buttered barm, no croutons. I pointed this out to the stressed person behind the counter who told me and I quote, "The chef's gone home" and that was it...and they weren't "kids" either 🙃

Waited ages for my food order. Not sure why a cheese toasties would take 25 mins. They were not busy. Server was great when taking my order, but the avoided me because she knew it was taking longer than it should. Won't hurry back.

Very poor initial impression was good the lady took are order and explained she would bring it over when it was ready Little boys beans on toast arrived mine didn’t after a while I went to ask and they apologised and would bring it over asap… they have clearly forgotten. When it did arrive I notice the egg was missing so had to go back to the counter again. A short time later it arrived back white toast not the brown I had asked for and the egg was swimming in butter or oil. I ended up leaving most of it very disappointed won’t be back.

Delicious food ,nice eating area, and lovely staff .

The food was cold. The sausages were the cheapest money can buy, the eggs overcooked and the bacon so thin it could have been blown off the plate in a soft breeze. The service non existent: No ‘hello, how can I help you ‘ Or ‘sorry to keep you waiting,’ Or ‘is your meal ok’ We definitely won’t be going back.

Just had a breakfast at this cafe, which had many times here but wont be in any rush coming back, Freezing cold.

My wife and I have just had the minced beef and mushroom pie, it was one of the best that we have ever had 10/10.

We popped in here for an all day breakfast and it was an absolute to die for brekky, sat in the back garden that has an entrance to the canal toe path wonderful setting. It also has a good number of seats indoors. Also has a shop attached for animal food and harnesses et, we will be back👍

Just ordered sausage on toast waited 45mins very poor and sausages were tastless

Went in at 12-40 and all that was available was breakfast which had been sat there for ages on the heated surface. Hash brown was hard, bacon was greasy, teapot gor two only allowed one small cup of tea each. Not very happy. Might try again sometime but certainly after 12noon.

£8.20 for 2 sausages on 2 pieces toast and a coffee, overpriced even in this current climate

Food was of a good quality staff were very nice

Went around lunch time and there weren't any menus anywhere. We had to go looking for them. Staff seemed to be rushed off their feet (which I know isn't a bad thing in this day and age). Ended up getting something small which came already buttered (would have liked to have done it myself). Staff were friendly and the place seemed clean. Lovely outside area to eat. I would return but probably not at lunchtime

Absolutely disgusting food. Waited for drinks at counter for 20 minutes then sat waiting for scrambled egg with toast separate. Toast was lovely but scrambled egg was very dry and looked like it had been left for so long it was cold so the chef if that is what you call him made more but that had been fried so greasy and I had to leave it. Never came to ask if it was okay. Trying to get someone's attention but to busy showing a young girl how to make coffees. I haven't been here for so long after the disaster last time but made my mind up never to go back. Nobody knows what they are doing. The chef hasn't got a apron on and wiping his hands on the pants. Not very professional at all.

Love this little gem 💎 💎 Food delicious. We had a long wait as asked for veggie quiche that wasn't yet cooked - however, the staff kept us informed and brought comlementary cakes while we waited. Nice touch, great customer service. Will be back, thank you.

Lovely home made carrot and coriander soup.

Total let down. Been comong here for over 10 years and watched its decline. After the last fiasco we left it for a couple of months. Wish we had just left it! The staff all looked new, none seemed to have any customer faced skills. Stood in queue for ages, not even acknowledged! Finally gave in order and sat down. Realised thay had firgotten milk for coffee. Asked for hot milk, given cold, so repeated hot milk request, then was going to charge for it! Breakfast came, could not eat the bacon, cardboard texture and grey looking, not fresh at all. Hash browns were burnt and tasted horid. No mushrooms arrived, had to ask for them only to be told, 'breakfast was now over and the had all been put in the bin'. The extra toast that We had ordered never arrived but had been charged for it. 4 out of the last 6 visits they have forgotten the toast. We made a conscious effort to say don't forget the toast. I wanted to complain and get yet another refund but missis and liteun wsnted to leave as so fed up with service / quality. Staff have no customer facing service skills, no order skills. Don't acknowledge customer waiting in queue, no happy greeting. This place has plummeted esp over the last 6-8 months. Prior to Christmas we would turn up in morning for breakfast only to find it constantly opening up late, even up to a hour late. No deliveries, no hot drinks, not hot meals, no chef etc. This place needs a huge rise in customer service skills, better counter service, miles more efficiency and a better Manager as it is definately not improving in all around standard. So dissapointed. Again. Will not be returning for a good while. Quality of food 2/10 Customer service 0/10 Overall satisfaction 1/10
