Rosey Lea Tea Room & Cafe in Southend-on-Sea

My friend and I visited this little gem this morning for a quick coffee, we were so pleasantly surprised how beautifully decorated the coffee shop was, the place was so clean, the owners were so welcoming and kind. We had a taste of their freshly baked banana cake which was divine. I'll be definitely be visiting them more and highly recommend it ❤️.

The full English breakfast is perfectly cooked. Upon request, I was able to have my eggs just how I like them and they along with everything else! The service is amazing will definitely be back.

It was a lovely surprise to win a competition for afternoon tea, we were greeted in a welcoming manner and was seated at our table by the attentive staff. The sandwiches were freshly made and there was a good selection of them. They are made fresh and the scones were very nice with cream and jam. The toilet facilities were top notch and very clean although the sink could be a bit bigger. Although not a very big establishment there are plenty of tables and you dont feel cramped at all, in good weather there are a couple of tables outside if you want to smoke. A very nice touch was the unlimited tea refills which I do drink too much of to be honest. Would I go again most definitely yes and if afternoon tea is your thing most certainly worth a try.

The beautiful, floral decorations invited us in to sit in a blooming bower for our lunch. The menu is tempting and to all tastes. It was difficult to decide what to order and I want to go back to try other things. Our Salmon Brunch was freshly made and delicious. We were too full to go for cake too but my daughter said she really wanted to try everything, it was so good. Whether you are a family or a couple, this is the place to go. The staff were also very friendly.

Visited Rosy Lea's for my birthday brunch with my family. 12 of us asking for lots and causing chaos and the staff were fantastic! Super patient and happy and friendly with us all. The food and drinks were also totally delicious. Not to mention, the aesthetics were beautiful and so different. Would highly recommend Rosy Lea's and will be visiting again! :)

Really inviting little cafe in Hamlet Ct Road. Beautiful window art and intetior design/decor. Good choice menu. Our group enjoyed a delicious brunch. Staff friendly and attentive. Look forward to visiting again. Highly recommend.

My family and I visited Rosey Lea Bakery yesterday to celebrate my mums birthday with Afternoon Tea. We could not have been better looked after. We had lots of beautiful food, the vanilla scones were delicious, topped up with as much tea as we wanted. This is not a criticism, more of a feedback, but would have preferred different fillings in the sandwiches, such as smoked salmon or coronation chicken , but that is just a personal choice The service was fab, the ladies were absolutely lovely! The interior has been done out so nice, we had the best seats in the house, under a floral arch, mum was sitting in a fab throne like chair, she loved it! We loved the interior so much, beautifully thought out, so much to look at! Totally recommend Afternoon Tea at Rosey Lea Bakery, will be back for brunch ( menu looked yummy) and cocktails!

I was so glad to come across this new cafe today. What a breath of fresh air. Loved the decor and all the flowers and the overall atmosphere. The food was great and the staff were really friendly. Already telling my friends about it. Highly recommend it to anyone.

heard about Rosylea's afternoon tea delivery for Mother's day through Velvet Spider cocktails as they were partnerning with them. Lovely friendly communication before the event. On the day, well presented boxes of goodies delivered - sandwiches with crisps, mini cakes and giant vanilla scone with pot of cream and jam. One of the tastiest scones we've all had in a long time and very tasty cakes. Well presented sandwiches and a focus on recyclable/reusable packaging. We all throughly enjoyed the experience and hope to be able to visit in person, once we are able to and experience what other treasures are instore on the menu! thank you team! *this is a review for delivery during lockdown, not a visit to the cafe*

Lovely place to visit, friendly staff, varied menu.. Best hot chocolate ever.. this is an ideal place to visit by yourself or in a group. It’s great to go everyday or as a special occasion.. will definitely be going again.. this also has a alcohol license so ideal for celebrations and private parties..

Beautiful little Tea Room/ Cafe. Friendly staff, lovely decor and amazing food. A great addition to the area. Will definitely be back.
