Rosello Restaurant in Shropshire

Had a couple of takeaway Pizza and garlic Bread last week. Pizza crust was an inch thick at least and very doughy. Would not go again for Pizza.

Been 5-6 times in the last year , but this visit was not up to normal standards . Staff seemed a little unsure and needed some prompting . Food was ok : the chunky Calamari starter was always spectacular and unique , but now is a limp selection of oily battered rings . The main course pasta portions seem smaller , and rather stodgy and tasteless . Desserts and coffee were lovely . To top it all , the draft Moretti was not available . High standards need constant monitoring , underpinned by frequent training .

This place has gone down hill since taking over from Al Sorriso. This is the second time we have visited since and both times were not great. This time, we attended on Saturday night and the restaurant was relatively busy but not packed. Despite this, we felt rushed to order as two different servers kept coming to the table. They were clearly not communicating with each other. We ordered mushrooms with goats cheese for our appetisers. Unfortunately, the mushrooms were tough and overdone. It seemed as though they had been pre-cooked and reheated. The goats cheese was freezing cold, so it was quite contrasting but not in a good way. It wasn’t inedible, but it was very strange. I’d have preferred the cheese to be as warm as the mushroom. For mains we had a seafood linguine, which was ok and a Pollo Milanese, which too, was disappointing. The dish consisted of a small butterflied chicken breast and a tiny portion of spaghetti - that’s it. Having ordered this on recommendation of the waiter, I was a little annoyed. I called the waitress over and asked whether I might possibly have a little more pasta, to which she brought out the same amount of pasta again. This did make for a sufficient overall portion but I had more or less finished the rest when the extra pasta came. After we declined desserts, the staff never returned to the table, despite my trying to get their attention several times. I had wanted to complain but after waiting so long, we had go to the bar to pay in the end as our taxi was waiting. This is when I found that for the extra bit of pasta, I had been charged an additional £7 for a full child’s portion! A small supplement I could have understood, but this made my main dish around £30. I think this is completely excessive considering the spaghetti dish on the menu, is around £13. This means that I’ve been charged approx £17 for a tiny bit of chicken? You ought to be ashamed! When you’re paying in the region of £100 for a meal, you should expect better and the standard should be a lot higher. Had this not been the second disappointing experience we’ve had in the last year, we may have put this down to a bad night however, there has been a noticeable decline. Sadly we won’t be returning anytime soon, which is regrettable as we loved Al Sorriso and really hoped Rosello would continue where they left off.

Excellent. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there. The service was spot on. The food was amazing. This will not be our only visit. Lovely ambience. A thoroughly enjoyable experience.

Located in the heart of the village , a modern vibrant restaurant serving good honest Italian food & drinks. Tuesday evening the restaurant was busy with birthday celebrations. The 3 of us had good service from helpful staff. A good choice for large or small groups. One to add to the list .

What a fab spot and only 5 minutes from home. Staff are so friendly, nothing is a problem. Happy to adapt the menu so you get the dish of your choice and all served with a smile. Cant wait to go back. Its a must!

An amazing restaurant from entering the restaurant the whole experience was fantastic. The restaurant has atmosphere the food was tasty well presented piping hot on arrival and generous portions. They have a lovely selection of wines we tried an organic white from scicilly. Very authentic service was impeccable. Definately returning. Thank you what a lovely team.

Came for lunch with my mum and we both thoroughly enjoyed it. Both had a chicken dish and the portions were just enough. Shared an orange cheesecake, phenomenal! Staff friendly too.

Went last night and had an amazing meal . There were lots of big tables and really busy . Great service , food came out quick . Everything we had was excellent quality and good value . It’s nice to have a decent local place with really friendly staff . Definitely recommend and will go again

Food didn't taste great at all. Wasn't much taste to the carbonara,just spaghetti in cream and the arrabiatta just tasted like tomatoes, no flavour at all.. very fast to receive the food and the service was great,very happy, and welcoming, just a shame about the food. Won't visit again.

The food is amazing, the service is incredible and everywhere is so clean. People that care run this restaurant and you can tell. 100% would recommend to anyone for any occasion

Second time eating here for dinner (the first just before Christmas) and it's wonderful. Lovely decor (very nice to eat in a proper restaurant not a 'gastro pub'), with interesting art, nice layout, contemporary furniture, really welcoming and professional staff, proper Southern European hospitality, great menu, wonderful Italian food, very nicely presented. Excellent service. Very glad our corner of Shropshire finally has a decent, grown up, quality restaurant that could hold its own in London, Manchester or Birmingham. The first time I ate here I had fish, and the scond time pizza, both were great. Puds are lovely too. We all thoroughly enjoyed our visit and will definitely be back.

Absolutely first class food and service. The staff are very attentive, polite and courteous. We had heard very good reviews from friends so decided to book for my husband's birthday. Thoroughly enjoyed the food and we will be back!

Visit as a group of 4 on a Thursday evening. Good job we had booked as the restaurant was full. There’s a nice busy vibe without being too loud. The food was very tasty and well presented. The tomato bruschetta was possibly the best I ever tasted , served on home made toasted bread. My wife had the calamari which was perfectly cooked - nice and tender. Our friends had the prawns which they said were gorgeous. For mains I had the seafood pasta which was extremely tasty- although I’ve had bigger portions elsewhere. My wife had lasagne which she said was very tasty, although the salad was very small. The star of the show for me was the tiramisu- it was so light, bursting with flavour and well presented. The coffee was one of the best I’ve ever tasted. The service was friendly and professional. When we got the bill it worked out just under £40 a head which we all thought was excellent value for money ( we had a couple of soft drinks as we all are doing dry January) and we all said we would return another day.

What a splendid dining experience. From the moment we entered we were greeted by friendly staff. The food was absolutely amazing and the service was excellent. It was an anniversary celebration for us and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Thank you to all concerned.

Came here and had a fabulous meal zuccinni frites and scallops to start all amazing cooked to perfection and pork for main course with sage and proscuitto the best i've ever tasted. Staff so friendly and attentive can't wait to go back. 11/10
