Rose Garden Cafe in Sheffield

Fuimos a cenar con la familia. Ocupado domingo a la hora del almuerzo, pero suficiente personal para asegurarse de que no esperábamos mucho tiempo para nuestra comida. La comida era muy buena y muy buena. Tomé los nachos con chile de res. Realmente lo disfruté. Mucho mejoró en cómo estaba el café hace un par de años. Los inodoros podrían ser mejores pero no estaban tan mal dado que son los de un café del parque.

Vino a tomar un café, que era horrible por decir lo menos, definitivamente no vale la pena £ 3. 00 . Los "avisos educados" que también estamos fuera de poner y los baños podrían haber estado más limpios.

Salimos con nuestro niño a Graves Park y queríamos un poco de almuerzo antes de salir. La cola era larga, pero no nos importó la espera. Una vez al frente de la cola, nos dijeron que la cocina estaba desbordada y no recibía ningún pedido. Esto fue un poco frustrante, ya que uno esperaría que una cocina estuviera preparada para la hora del almuerzo. Pero entendemos que estas cosas pueden suceder. Lo que era inaceptable es que en ningún momento el personal le dijo a la gente de la cola que la cocina no estaba recibiendo órdenes. Simplemente esperaron a que los clientes llegaran al bar y les dijeron entonces. Así que esperamos 20 minutos haciendo cola para la comida sin razón. Cualquiera que tenga hijos pequeños sabe que cuando tiene hambre, ¡quiere comida de vez en cuando! Así que esperar todo este tiempo por nada era muy molesto. Tan pronto como la cocina dejó de recibir pedidos, el personal debería haber estado asesorando a las personas en la cola para que pudieran decidir si todavía querían esperar o no. Incluso después de este punto, todavía notamos que el personal no estaba asesorando a nadie. Veríamos a la gente unirse a la cola y esperar durante 15 minutos solo para descubrir que no podían pedir comida. No soy un experto, pero me parece un punto tan básico en el servicio al cliente no hacer que los clientes hagan cola sin ninguna razón.

Es bueno ver abierto de nuevo y la comida estaba bien, aunque bastante caro para un café del parque. El personal, sin embargo, necesita lecciones de servicio al cliente que fueron realmente bastante groseros, ignorando a los clientes hasta que decidieron servir. Una señora delante de nosotros tomó una patata chaqueta de vuelta diciendo que era difícil y se le preguntó “¿qué esperas que haga?”. ¡Espantoso!

Fue encantador ver la cafetería con un aspecto limpio e inteligente personal amable, Sólo tengo un número los precios, wow £ 4 por una rebanada de pastel, £ 3 por una cara de pan de jengibre duro de roca , me gasté £ 35 allí dentro hoy con tener 4 nietos conmigo sólo en 3 galletas de pan de jengibre y bebidas, las porciones de tamaño son demasiado grandes y demasiado caro , creo que personalmente deberían ser porciones más pequeñas para los niños entonces los precios podrían ser más baratos para ayudar a las familias más grandes

La comida es sabrosa. El personal es amable y acogedor. Limpio y ordenado. Todos los condimentos y cubiertos totalmente surtidos. 10 de 10 .

The food was great , and the service from the younger woman was impeccable . The older lady not so much her attitude was awful extremely rude and abrupt. On asking if they had any of the little milk tubs for the coffee she rudely replied no and then I asked if I could potentially have a little bit more in my coffee and she responded what you want more milk in it , then a young lady asked about toilets and the response she got even worse rating would have been lower if the younger lady hadn’t made it bareable

We called into Graves Park today 23/12/22, although the weather was unpleasant it was a change to be outside after the snow and ice, after our walk we ventured up to refresh ourselves at the cafe only to be disappointed as it was closed even though signage said open till 3pm, come on please let us have a drink.

I am so sad this lovely place has now closed , it was just perfect for a nice coffee and lunch after a walk around the park, I really hope they can preserve this place and re open .

Great food at good prices. Ample foods to choose from. Very clean and ample seating, inside and out. Pleasant views to the rose garden and across the park.

I do wonder how they got there 5 star review for hygiene here. Been here several times over the years with my kids, and it's never felt, or looked that clean to me. A case in point was this week, we live the other side of Sheffield, but my youngest wanted to see the revamped Animal Park. After we came out, it was a bit windy so decided a sit down was in order. 2 tables available, 1 covered in plates and mugs, the other, had a child's high sest absolutely caked in food, and the famously minging floor tiles were covered in food dropped by the previous occupants. Now this table was 2 feet away from the cleaning station, and the floor strewn with food was clearly visible to the member of staff stood by the cleaning station, after a while she shifted the high chair and gave it a quick wipe, but didn't even attempt to brush up the food or anything. It sat there all the time we drank our drinks. Very off-putting. And the other very irritating thing, they put milk in with the teabag! Who in Sheffield does this?! Also, don't look at the cover photo, the interior is dressed up for an occasion, if they showed a picture taken at lunchtime with screaming kids, muddy dogs, crockery filled tables and food strewn floors I doubt they would be queuing to get in.

Took a long time to get served but that can't be helped. Normally is busy anyway with a play area inside and tables and chairs to sit inside. Reasonably priced though.

Coffee is great, staff are lovely and the cakes/food is also top notch. The main thing which lets it down is the speed of service. We were stood in a queue for 20 minutes (nearly gave up but I needed one of their cookies!) and even when a staff member came to tell us at 15:45 after 15 minutes of queueing that they were closing shortly at 4pm (which annoyed us as we had been waiting for 15 already and had arrived in plenty of time!) she noticed the long queue yet did not jump on behind the counter to lend a hand to the staff. Not her fault I understand, she was sorting the tables and chairs out but even if she went down the line to grab a couple of orders or take some payments that could have sped things up.

Rose Garden Cafe.... I couldn't tell you the hours I spent in here as a kid, 3 miles from my house, most weekends or days at a loose end were spent here, a large green space along with a farm - free to visit...its a staple for any sheffielder. You are not able to book a table and I am not sure if this is just because of the pandemic, but I was out for the day, the sun was shining and I headed out for a walk around Graves Park, I popped in for breakfast in the roses. The breakfast menu is to be expected, BEST, toast, etc. I went for a BEST and a coffee.... A best that required cutlery....that's a good sign....packed with good quality produce. Although the food is a little basic and more of a greasy spoon/cafe style I cannot fault it. Good quality, simple food but I found if I was not using the EOTHO scheme the prices are a little high for what you get. The staff were welcoming and they had very good health and safety precautions in place.

Absolutely appalling experience in beautiful Graves Park in Sheffield. The rudest of servers you can imagine. Clearly didn't want our custom as it was 3.15 and they closed at 4pm. We ate cake and drank awful coffee which was expensive. Rudely told to return the tray which she had spilled coffee all over. Returned tray to be refused entry into the toilet as ..."it's closed now" These people are a disgrace to the hospitality in industry and and a blot on a beautiful park. Bring your own food unless you want your experience ruines

After lockdown we called in for a coffee and sausage rolls how the hell can they charge £2 for a sausage roll.we used to call in every other day while walking the dog not anymore wouldn’t mind but the place is disgustingly filthy.Think it’s ready for a new lease and tenant.People who pay those prices must have money to burn.I noticed dog chews at 25 pence each They are a pound for 50.

I visited recently with my 5 month old who was in his pushchair. It was tricky to find a table suitable for us. As I needed somewhere for the pushchair to go that wouldn't be in the way of others. I wasn't aware it was cash only and didn't see any prior notices informing me of this upon entering. I had to leave the park to find a cash point and return some time later. Not ideal and it should be clearly stated that it is cash only.

I have visited the Rose Garden Cafe since 1969! I often go when walking my greyhound and with the greyhound walking group we stop for a break,when we're all made welcome, dogs and people! The food is varied and suits all tastes, I'm sure. This time I had a sandwich coffee and a gingerbread man for the dog!

Had a Lovely pumpkin spiced latte and a great price! Also the panini's are AmAzInG, comes with chips and sald, could definitely tell they were homemade!

I visit this cafe most weeks with my grandson (2). Love the place, staff very friendly, food very good.Caters for small children with an indoor play area, dogs also welcome. Can get busy at times as everyone seems to arrive at once, ramblers etc, we have never had to wait more than a few minutes for a table and service is reliable & prompt. I'm very surprised at some of the negative comments on here and in my experience I would strongly disagree

It’s been a while since this place had a lick of paint and you can tell: inside and out. It is in need of a good clean and upgrade. But the food is good and fairly priced.
