Lovely café! The small vegan breakfast was great!

Had the breakfast bagel and was presently surprised. They give student discounts, music was pretty good and overall a good breakfast spot. Lots of vegan and take away options as well!

Fabulous place which offers a great menu for everyone with a good selection, helpful staff and decent value.

Homemade soup was delicious and wholesome. I also had a scrumptious black pudding roll... Great service, been a couple of times, one to recommend.

Decent coffee but food is poor. Bacon kept warm so long it turned to shoe leather, and the ultimate sin, overcooked poached eggs. All overpriced, but it’s your standard Glasgow hipster cafe, we knew what to expect for cost, and I wouldn’t complain about that if the food had been up to scratch. Nobody asked us if we were happy with the food, so I can only assume they already know it’s not great.

A busy wee stop for brunch. I was somewhat underwhelmed with my rolls with sausage and bacon, but my son loved the vegan French toast, and my wife enjoyed the vegan club sandwich. Perhaps a better destination for veggie and vegan visitors, which is fair enough, as choices are more limited.

It is a really good place to have in this part of town. It was a bit of a shame that the Gluten Free menu has gone. The staff are friendly and the food was a treat.

Me and my partner were in Glasgow for the weekend and visited for breakfast. Lovely cafe, food was very nice and fresh, we got the full Scottish breakfast each. Good quality and not greasy at all, lovely coffee. We didn't have any of the home bakes but they looked delicious!.

I’ve been here for the first time for a brunch with my sister. The place is pretty simple but well organized. We ordered a full breakfast and a poached eggs with sriracha hollandaise sauce. We really enjoyed the food! Both were well prepared and the taste was very good. The service was fast and staff was very kind. A nice place where to have a nice brunch without rush

Delicious bagels! A great place for a coffee catch up and brunch. Staff are really friendly and welcoming. The food and coffee is tasty and very reasonably priced. Often gets quite busy on the weekends so if you want a table I would go at less popular times.

I visited a few times before they temporarily closed and I'm glad to go back and see just how lovely the place has become! The new art on the windows is so pretty, and the interior is very cosy. The food is, just as before, amazing. And the staff is wonderful! Would highly recommend the french toast with maple syrup.

I was just scrolling google to look for cafe near me and spotted this Rose and Grants Cafe which I remember dining here last month and their meals and coffee were absolutely delicious! Staffs here are helpful too!

My new favourite place. Amazing menu and the best vegan breakfast I've had. The lorne sausages are excellent. The coffee is perfect and our wee dog loved the vegan puppycino. The staff are super friendly and the service is excellent. Looking forward to our next visit.

Delicious food. I think it's just reopened and we did have to remind staff about a few things. However that wasn't a problem considering how delicious everything was, plus it's a pleasant place to be. We had a small vegan breakfast (all delicious but the fried potato scone and garlic mushrooms were the highlights), avocado on sourdough toast (great but needed salt added and would have been better with seeds/chilli flakes, etc.) and soup (amazing). Also the hot chocolate was great (and can be made dairy free). The two vegan cakes they had were so good. Will definitely return.

My absolute go to when I'm looking for breakfast or brunch when in Glasgow. The vegan options on the menu are fantastic, almsot every dish can be veganised and having all of the cakes vegan as standard is incredible; non vegans won't even realised but means the word to vegans. Can't wait to come back soon and try out the french toast which I've been eyeing up. The vegan breakfast is the best I've had in Glasgow. Lovely staff always have a nice chat with them even when it's super busy you feel like you're valued as a customer.

I wish I had a magic door which I can open each morning to go for breakfast and later on for some tea and cake to Rose & Grant’s. They have the best vegan breakfast options - some of my favourites include full vegan breakfast and their vegan breakfast muffin. There is also a great choice of cakes and pastries. I just love Rose & Grant’s. 🙂

Great place for breakfast, lunch or coffee and a cake. Love the vegan french toast and the vegan scramble (with extras like potato scones and garlic mushrooms), always hard to choose between them 🙂

Was gutted when R&G closed as their vegan options are superb, especially the vegan scramble which tastes just like egg! Hopefully it opens soon so I get get a wee roll and vegan slice. Lovely staff and nice wee cafe.

Absolutely love Rose & Grants and can't wait for them to reopen! The food is fantastic, the staff are great and there's always a grand atmosphere 😍 Big shout out to the vegan breakfast muffin!! One of the breathing I've ever eaten! And their breakfast is the best in Glasgow! Might want the vegan Mac n Cheese toastie back though 😆 I go a lot with my wee mum as she's not vegan, and the menu is great for both vegans and omnis alike as it caters for everyone. 5 stars all round ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Rose & grants has been a firm favourite of mine for at least 7 years. Back when there weren’t many options for us vegans, they had the best vegan breakfast roll around - and it’s still the best to this day! (Vegan special) The staff are always so lovely & the food is delicious. I for one cannot wait to have my fave breakfast roll again 💙

Gorgeous little cafe - been many times and have sampled quite a lot of their menu from biscuits, breakfast sandwiches, soups, ploughman's sandwiches, breakfast rolls and more! So easy to accomodate everyone's dietary needs with vegan and gluten free not bring swept to the side! Tasty food in the heart of Glasgow, perfect to visit whenever and can usually always get a seat (if there's a wait it's not very long)!

The French toast with bacon and washes down with a latte makes my heart sing and always leads to my "happy shimmy", reserved for only the nicest meals. I am so happy that Rose and Grants is re-opening, it is my favourite independent cafe in the city centre and one I always take visitors, friends and family to when in town. Aimee

So happy these guys are opening back up again, the vegan square sausage is the best ive ever had and the vegan breakfast muffin is so good. Also my dogs have missed their doggy friendly breakfast!

Lovely staff, great range of food and yummy breakfast. Take cash just in case. Recommend the avocado and eggs. We took a whole load of cakes and treats back to Newcastle with us.

We visited a few weeks ago had an amazing breakfast eggs Benedict with sriracha hollandaise which was yummy. My husband had the vegetarian full breakfast and loved the vegetarian slice sausage so much we bought some to take home. The staff were lovely highly recommend a visit

First time trying eggs Benedict, the Sirracha one was lovely ! We would love to come back again when in Glasgow.

Amazing place to eat in. We went to glasgow for the day and had to choose between lots of great options. We definitely weren't mad we picked this one. Friendly staff, very nice food (I had the full vegan breakfast, it was perfect !!) and my boyfriend had the haggis melt with the soup of the day and he couldn't stop talking about it for the rest of the day :-) I rated the ambiance 4 out of 5 because it was very noisy, we had to talk quite loudly to hear one another. Apart from that, i recommend !!!

Best breakfast I can remember, I got the full breakfast. Not stodgy, very high quality cooked perfect. Gf vegan and loved hers aswell. Option to please everyone and high quality.

Nice interior, very trendy and cool. The food was lovely and the staff were helpful and happy to adapt the menu. TONS of vegan options which was wonderful to see and overall a really nice place to eat breakfast. My only criticism is we weren't told you have to queue up to pay after your meal so we were sat waiting awhile before we figured it out. Other than that though, lovely cafe.

We called in after a busy morning visiting parts of Glasgow. Nice atmosphere and friendly staff. Highly recommended! As well as the food we liked the atmosphere.

Wonderful service. Staffs were nicely and kind, the place is clean and tidy. We had tried the curry skillets and it is great and the curry is amazing. Definitely will come again.

We visit this cafe every time we are in Glasgow. The food never disappoints. There’s always something different each visit. We just wish there was a cafe of similar quality near to where we live. Good coffee too. All baking is vegan and any we’ve had has been very, very good. 😀

Waited by the sign with said “please wait to be seated” ….. waited ….. waited ….. waited ….. eventually caught someone’s eye and asked if I could sit. I sat down at a dirty table, all the vacant ones were dirty. (When I left after 35/40 mins they were still dirty. Eventually got served after catching someone’s eye. The staff seemed to be too busy chatting to and hugging their friends who came in. Pleasant coffee and food but unfortunately the poor chaotic service let’s the place down badly.

A great cafe for brunch /coffee . Can get very busy over lunchtimes but well worth waiting for a table if you can ...but they also do take away . Everything is freshly prepared -and well worth the wait . Varied menu -soups,toasties,paninis/bagels, eggs ,salads ,cooked breakfast , vegan , cakes&pastries ,speciality coffee & tea .... Lovely friendly and hard working staff . lNever been disappointed when we visit .

Had time to kill in Glasgow city centre, and was in need of a coffee. Have walked past Rose & Grants many times, but never had the chance to visit. Was finally able too, and was worth the visit. Great staff who are very friendly, with a good menu to select from. Maybe waited a little longer than I planned, but because they were so busy. Food looks good and will visit for something to eat in future.

Brilliant little café opposite Guitar Guitar (the reason for our trip to Glasgow). Recharged our batteries after a couple of hours trying instruments. Fantastic food, great service, couldn’t fault the place - recommended. It can be busy though so be prepared to wait a while for a table.

We discovered this cafe by chance on an overnight visit to Glasgow for a gig. The atmosphere is welcoming and the staff helpful and friendly. It was a lovely relaxing spot to revive after a late night! It is so nice to have plenty of vegan and vegetarian options. We have been twice now and will definitely go again next time we are in Glasgow.

My sister and I had fantastic coffee on a visit here last week. We were back at weekend and decided to pick up more coffee and cake to take away. We arrived around 1608 and were told we couldn’t have coffee as they were starting to clean down coffee machine. Fair enough, I guess. So we went to cafe round corner and managed to get takeaway drinks. We loved the cakes we’d had the previous week so decided to go back and pick up some takeaway cakes. We arrived about 10 mins later but were told that we couldn’t be served cakes either as they were closed! Despite the fact there were still customers sitting inside and outside so assume they were all still to pay and till hadn’t been closed off. The cakes were all still sitting on the counter and hadn’t been put away. My complaint is the level of customer service, especially in these times with business needing as much revenue as possible. The young staff were in no way accommodating and seemed just desperate to get cleared up and out. I’m not sure it would make me want to go back now as being turned away twice in the space of less than 20 minutes did not leave us with a nice feeling about the place.

Went for a quick coffee this morning. Arrived in the door and was asked to wait for takeaway then told to move by another member of staff. Waited for my flat white and was handed a latte which was way too hot for a coffee and tasted like the milk was burnt and the coffee sour. The food on display looked really good and the seating layout provides a great atmosphere but the orientation of the front serving area could be better arranged with a take-away area facing the door and a sit-in section where the food is displayed. Overall a little disappointed.

A quirky wee cafe in the Trongate area of Glasgow. A good selection of the usual cafe food and drink items with plenty vegan and gluten free options. Prices were reasonable and what struck me was the friendliness of the various staff members who attended...

Excellent freshly made food and friendly service. Our food was delayed and they took the time to keep us updated and even gave us a complementary cup of tea.

1st visit here during short break to Glasgow. Friendly staff, great selection of food and drinks for breakfast. The french toast was delicious and huge portion. Excellent coffee. So good we had breakfast there on our second day too! Recommend to all.

Variable customer service from some staff. Served regulars before me. Coffee is good but not cheap £3.75 for regular latte. Barista was pleasant and polite.

Lovely restaurant and friendly waiters ☺️ tips: discounts for takeaway food, discounts for students My friend and I were dine-in. I ordered a chicken sandwich and my friend had the bacon bagel. My sandwich tasted average... the bread on the outside was very dry and hard, and the sandwich had some vegetables and chicken inside (which tasted mediocre). The chips were given in a vinegar flavour which I didn't like.

Came here last week during a short stay. The vegan options are amazing and Ailsa always had a smile on her face and even helped us with our uni research project! What a great find and great experience, can't recommend enough ☺️

The staff are really chatty & friendly, the menu isn't ridiculously large so easy to make choices. The portion sizes a great value for money. I had a lovely club sandwich with amazing coleslaw, my husband had the Stornoway blackpudding tower which had THE bet perfectly poached eggs on top. We also couldn't resist having some rocky road, delicious, & a Biscoff empire biscuit which had lovely shortbread & yummy filling. We also had 2 diet cokes & this all came to £29, this included a very well deserved 10% tip. We will definitely visit again, a great find. Would highly recommend this gem of a place to anyone visiting near the Trongate.

Whenever I’m in Glasgow I always come here to get a vegan macaroni pie it’s just so wonderful but I’m glad I don’t live here as I’d be eating them everyday 😂😂 so it’s a lovely special treat when I visit

We were looking for a coffee and wanted to avoid the usual chains when we found Rose & Grant's. Thank goodness! Great coffee and good food. Excellent service from the team. I had delicious Sriracha & Hollandaise poached eggs with bacon and smashed avocado on bloomer toast. Just right for midday! Recommended!

Amazing food and happy to have so much vegan choice. There was also great service even though the place was really busy, and a great atmosphere. The only improvement I would suggest is giving tap water in a glass instead of in a plastic cup as this seems to be unnecessary waste.

Had been waiting to try this place for a while as my mum & sister are both vegan. It didnt disappoint. Its a busy little cafe, spacious and nice decor. We all order the "Ultimate Vegan Bagel" and it was beyond delicious. The staff were all super welcoming, helpful and polite. We also took some vegan cakes to go and oh my days YUM YUM YUM! Prices are very reasonable and good portion sizes. I highly recommend good vegan options but great choice for everyone. We will defo be back! loved it! ❤

Had breakfast here. Alongside the very wide-ranging vegan menu, they offer a good choice of non-vegan options. My husband particularly enjoyed the Stornaway black pudding.

Great cafe I will always visit when in the city , nicely laid out post covid , the breakfast rolls are to die for based on the only to be found in Scotland truly tasty bread rolls and tattie scones. I'll be back !

Fab wee place. Menu features abundant vegan options using nice quality ingredients. The breakfast/brunch menu is where it's at in my opinion, but it's nice for coffee and cake too. Service is quick and staff are friendly. Some of the spaces are a wee bit small, but I'm not there to do yoga. Would recommend!
