Friendly reception (had pre-booked) on arrival and shown straight to a table and issued menus and drinks cards. Wait staff all very friendly and efficient. It's the food that lets it down! Starters were brought quickly but the (overpriced) starter platter was mostly garnish; the 2 chicken satai and 2 pork skewers were interchangeable (but the sweet chilli dipping sauce was very good), the tiny portion of battered squid was well cooked. The Thai fish cakes were tasty but lacking in chilli and lemon grass. Mains were also overpriced and the small portion of beef massamann curry was lacking in flavour, had only 2 small cubes of beef in it and the sauce had an oily layer on top, as if the coconut milk had split. The pad Thai was average with two small pieces of chicken in it but lots of noodles. Sadly there was no omelette, flavour was again lacking and the whole thing was excessively sweet. Somewhere in the curries there was an underlying taste reminiscent of dried sage but there was a distinct lack of traditional Thai flavours like Holy basil, fish sauce, lemon grass and chillies! The red wine we chose was thin and acidic - certainly not worth the £25ish per bottle they charged. Did not have any dessert as nobody offered us anything after the main courses. Overall, ambience OK, service VERY GOOD and food VERY DISAPPOINTING.

Turned up without reservation prior to going to the theatre ,we were met quite quickly with a smile and although we had not pre booked the lady that met us, whent out of her way to squeeze us in.We were left a reasonable time to make our choices for both food and drink, which were delivered quite promptly. The lady that met us at the door also served us and was very pleasant and professional. Unfortunately, the food did not live up to the same standard i had a vegetable pad thai with pulled mushrooms. This is a dish i have had several times else where and enjoyed, but not this time. The noodles where hot but the mushrooms where stone cold and had little taste. This was without doubt the sweetest pad thai i have ever had and was really sickly. So I am sorry to say i will not be coming again, which is a shame as the first impressions were good.

The food was decent but the service was bad, it took over an hour for mains to come out. We saw our drinks sat at the bar for a while before they were given to us. The service is bad for a restaurant that wasn’t that busy the day we went. We had to ask our waiter 3 times for the bill. Overall it was disappointing

Staff were very nice, friendly from the outset. Service was good and efficient. Main course and starter were good, Tom yung as very nice, could really of done with more for the price! Pudding was a big let down, how they can charge £6.50 for sticky rice with no flavour and very little condensed milk is beyond me, avoid this it's a rip off. Other than this let down it was a nice meal.

This was our third visit and we had the sea food sharing platter with papaya salad & some stir fired green beans. All very tasty. It was very busy but the staff were great, and the manager had time for a quick chat, and he remembered us from when we visited last year when they first opened and he gave us a copy of Rosa’s Thai Cafe cookbook, which we use on a very regular basis

My friends surprised me with a meal here after I had gone on about wanting to try Rosa’s for months before I move to Australia! I was not disappointed the food was lovely both starter and main and the staff were lovely would definitely recommend

Very very average. The staff weren’t particularly friendly in fact anytime we wanted anything we had to go out of our way to get it. Food was okay but expensive. I think there are better Thai restaurants in Nottingham.

We were looking for a pre Theatre lunch - Rosa's express lunch menu was perfect. 2 courses plus drink, lovely presentation and very friendly staff - and very reasonably priced. Looking forward to sampling their main menu when we have more time.

Green Curry chicken taste fine but Tom Yum prawn taste terrible. DO NOT order Tom Yum prawn. It doesn’t taste anything close to authentic Tom Yum and has a weird smell in it.

Going to Rosa's Thai was a last minute decision and a lovely surprise. The staff were welcoming, the atmosphere relaxed and the food delicious. We had both the prawn and pumpkin crackers to start, which were crisp and tasty. I had the king prawn cashew curry with sticky rice and it was fresh, delicious and filling. The menu offers a good selection of vegan options and blue light discount, if you've got your card with you. I would have given Rosa's Thai five stars but we were never offered desserts - we assumed this was because they didn't sell them, but the menu online has some listed - which was a shame. We will definitely visit again, as it was a great meal.

The food is overpriced for what you get - the crab rice lacked any crab and the two pieces by the side of the plate were tiny and not tasty The chicken fried rice (listed on the menu with two chillis) was bland and had no spice at all - the rice was completely plain and the breaded chicken was over cooked Not worth a visit

Inattentive service perhaps exacerbated by what seemed to be low staff levels and a prioritisation of delivery orders. Starters and drinks were largely fine and the pork skewers, prawn crackers and associated dips were actually very good, but the mains were incredibly disappointing and the whole meal was incredibly overpriced considering the service, quality of food, and setting. The manager agreed not to charge us for our mains which we were grateful for, but it was a disappointing visit and I would not recommend it.

Was eager to try this restaurant. Ate at 6pm with a friend. Lovely staff. We're told we could only have the table for a hour - but that was ok. Food disappointing. My pad Thai was cold & had to be sent back. No evidence of crab in the crab rice meal. Asked for prawn crackers - didn't get them but weren't charged for them. Against Pho & Giggling Squid in West Bridgford- this was pretty disappointing. Note to self - go where you know in future. City centre needs to step up. Lots of competition out there!! 😐

Way Better than Zaap. Popped in for lunch. Wow. Totally enjoyed this food. So authentic without the Buddhas and tuk tuk “experience “

Called in for lunch. Was on the way to Zaap (always good) when spotted this. Assumed it was an independent business so thought we would give it a go. Turns out it is a “cooking by numbers” chain, and it shows. Staff - pleasant enough....

Mushy chicken satay. The chicken green curry was uninspired. The chicken was cut in slices and was tasteless. The service lackadaisical.

Really disappointing. The quality of the food was not great - Thai food is characterised by light and fragrant food, subtle flavours. This was really more like a very average Chinese - greasy, sweet and a lack of subtle flavours. And it was really expensive for what it was. I wouldn’t repeat a visit here.

I decided to try here as it had such great reviews, and I lived in Thailand for a while, but have struggled to find great Thai food in the area here. I've finally found it, and Thai Kitchen will be my new go to take away. The food is delicious, fresh and flavourful. Highly recommended!
