Roots teddington (Indian restaurant ) in Richmond upon Thames

Un almuerzo realmente fabuloso a precio de ganga y una buena oportunidad para probar los increíbles sabores de la cocina. Hemos viajado mucho por la India y conocemos un buen biriani cuando encontramos uno, lo que es raro en este país. The Roots polluelo biriani [una opción en el almuerzo establecido] era realmente excelente. Servido en una olla sellada, fragante y húmedo, sabíamos que habíamos encontrado un restaurante realmente especial. Todos acordamos que la comida era igual en todos los sentidos a la maravillosa cervecería Bombay en Londres. Aquí, en Teddington, no tenemos que soportar el viaje, o los precios! Este lugar es un verdadero hallazgo y no podemos esperar a regresar. Bien hecho todos ustedes!

Visitamos Roots por primera vez esta noche, y volveremos de nuevo. Excelente comida y servicio. Tenía un curry de marisco, y mi marido tenía un curry de cordero. El menú no era tan variado. como en otros lugares - . generalmente una buena señal que significa que la comida está recién cocinada. El menú de postres era simplemente fantástico. . comimos helado con remolacha.

I visited my friend in Teddington, he took me his favourite Indian restaurant Roots in main mkt area, I found it very beautiful ambiance, related to Indian culture and Rajasthani vibrant colours.... staff was very attentive and welcome us to given comfortable table , we had Popadum and chutneys to start ....I was very impressed with chutney quality special berries one and sweet potato, also had daal Makhani was authentic , saag also excellent, Garlic naan was perfect, my friend had few grills , all were amazing presented and delicious in taste and I loved their unique dessert tandoori pineapple. Price was very responsible in that elite mkt ,best Indian restaurant in Teddington Recommended to all Indian food lovers

We had sunday lunch at Roots, pre ordering their Lamb special. Lovely food, and excelent service. Each dish was described by the front of house. Definatly worth a visit if you are in the area. Set meal for sunday lunch is £30/head (3 courses).

Our family of five had supper at Roots on 11th February. The food was excellent, the head server was warm and welcoming but alas, our personal server was terse and tossed our food and drinks down on our table so they almost bounced on landing ! He was fast and efficient but always unsmiling. You could say…he appeared just rude! His attitude discoloured an otherwise very enjoyable occasion. A shame. We would be inclined to purchase takeouts in future.

Fantastic food and cocktails. Honestly the best modern Indian food (with a twist!) I think I’ve ever had, including in India.

Excellent food the Tandoori chicken was delicious.Lovely restaurant great ambiance and the Staff show extra special attention to everyone. I’d say that this is probably the best Indian restaurant I have eaten in for a very long time

Based on a few visits, consistently superb food across the menu. Last visit was a wedding breakfast exclusively for guests. Unrivalled selection of starters, mains and desserts for a very reasonable fixed price. Best food at a wedding I have ever had. Can't pick anything out as it's all good. All in all, a very high quality restaurant

In Teddington for a short break, dined here before but didn’t realise it had changed ownership. Should have booked but managed to get a table for two. Comfortably warm & attentive staff who explained about the limited menu but they preferred to go for quality & quality it was. My wife ordered the chicken byriani which came in a bowl with a pie crust, unusual, I had neligri prawns with green leaves & chillies accompanied by cranberry pilau rice. Honestly one of the best curries I have ever had. My wife thoroughly enjoyed hers as well. Fully recommend this restaurant & fairly priced!

First visit on Sat night after hearing quite a lot about it from local friends. The place was heaving and really buzzing atmosphere. Friendly efficient service. Food was fabulous. The starters were modern and delicious. For mains we had slow cooked lamb and butter chicken, absolutely delicious and they boxed up my leftovers. Cocktails were on point; the crema on the expresso martini was outstanding! I’m so excited about this new addition to the high street. Can’t wait to go back.

Just had set lunch at this fabulous new restaurant. 2 courses for £18. Went with a friend and we tried 4 different things. All absolutely delicious. Delton our waiter was friendly, helpful and professional. Highly recommended.

Fabulous new addition to Teddington High Street. Fantastic friendly service…. Great beers, best Kulfi we’ve ever tasted and absolutely delicious food. Wanted to try everything on the menu so we will be back!
