This was just an outstanding experience. The food was unusual creative and delicious. Each course was really different and a delight. Our hosts were fun and conversation flowed. Definitely going again !

A wonderful supper club that made for an incredible evening. I definitely will go again and be recommending to my friends. My wife and I visited Ronin Dining on a Friday night for a Vegan Japanese tasting menu. Being gluten intolerant it was an added bonus that the menu was also Gluten Free! We were made to feel very welcome by the amazing hosts into their beautiful 14th Century home on Godalming High Street. Our hosts introduced us to the other guests and then introduced us to some Japanese customs to start the evening. The food was fantastic, with 8 tasting courses. The hosts described each course and as the evening progressed, explained the ethos behind the food and some of the principles of Japanese cuisine. Each course was a new experience for me, with a real variety of flavours and some very clever use of different cooking methods and textures to the extent that as non-Vegan I was in no way left feeling something was missing. Truly delicious food and a really fun informative evening with lovely company.

We used to live in Japan and what we miss the most is the authentic healthy bento boxes despite the recent trend of Japanese food in the UK. Jhenn's hina matsuri bento was excellent and by far the best we've had outside of Japan. It transported us back to a tea ceremony and authentic Kaiseki Japanese food which we've enjoyed in Kyoto, Tokyo and Karuizawa for special occasions. Her effort and attention to detail is remarkable. Each element of the bento stands by itself but sings in harmony together. She showcases the possibilities of vegan ingredients like seitan. We especially loved the koyadofu and chirashizushi. The home-made hina-arare and dango were a real surprise and we were really impressed with her detailed menu and cultural explanation (which also shows how committed Jhenn is to the Japanese authenticity because such menu is also provided by eateries who truly care for food in Japan.) We look forward to enjoying more of her creations in the future, not least the prospect of home made miso!
