Not the best looking place but seriously good food, great staff attentive and knowledgeable so very happy

Initial Review ------------- Order a delivery from Romanos which was going to take 40 minutes. After three phone calls and no delivery cancelled the order, very poor service and would not recommend their delivery service. Updated Review ---------------- After yet another phone call, pizza eventually arrived but sadly the pizza after all this time was not in perhaps the best state and had clearly spent too long out of the pizza oven, although it did taste quite okay

Well worth a visit to eat here if in the area and staying at the local Premier Inn. Excellent selection on the menu, large portions and very tasty food. Recommend the pizzas. Reasonably priced also.

Romano's is always on point with food. The staff recognise us when we walk in and are always happy to tweak the order to our specific requests. Calzones and chicken rocks are firm favourites.

All food is cooked to order, always hot and plenty of it

We are very lucky to have this place local to us. I've been coming here since it was back at the old location back when it was just a pizzeria. Loving all the options on the menu - the cheeseburger is class , lovely fresh salad side order...chicken rocks a little thinner than I remember but still tasty! keep up the good work 👍🏼

Great place to bring family of all ages,many activities from pool to out door play area ,enjoy outdoor dining in the summer,or party on the bus .

Quirky place, tomato garlic bread eas amazing. We went mid week and it was quiet.

My favourite pub in Drig. If you are a local, this is a nice unassuming place to go for a drink. The bar staff are friendly, the patrons down to earth and it is clean and tidy. I’ve been a few times on a Saturday night and have really enjoyed it. The pizza is also good and well priced.

Excellent food, great warm welcoming pub near the showcase. Only one little thing there is a little wait for food but well worth it and reasonably priced, it’s not fast food.

Booked the games room for a birthday party on a Sunday afternoon, perfect place to meet up with friends for a few drinks and games of pool. The buffet was absolutely amazing. Great selection of vegetarian and meat options, everyone loved the food. Would definitely recommend for a social meet up! Thank you for having us.

Received late & cold, the garlic bread has large cube chunks of garlic. My son thought it was sea salt it was that large.

Expensive and watered down drinks

Pizza and loaded fries were not hot at all, fries were undercooked as well. Order was 10 minutes over the estimated time.

Staff are attentive and friendly. It's one of those venues that's Marmite, you love it or hate it. In my reviews this is off the radar but I enjoyed the interior and it's a place thats more than you think and I find that business format of interest. Pizza, bar and in house sports. Great drink selection that should appeal to quite a scope of patrons.

Honestly, if you get a take out from here, pick it up. Now over 2 hours since we ordered and still waiting, even after calling and been told it would be 30 mins, that was 45 mins ago. SHOCKING service. Shame as the food is OK.

Well can't say I enjoyed the Yankee burger as it was cold so was the chips and my partner's pizza wasn't the one he ordered and cold and £2 delivery for 0.3 miles take the mick especially the the price you pay

Lovely pizza and nice service. Could do with some improvements though. Does anybody know what happened to the party bus though? It was there last time I visited but everyone says it’s disappeared. I liked it on that party bus.

Quite possibly the worst pizza I have ever had.... as I'm babysitting I thought I would treat the kids to something special rather than our usual takeaway place... however... what turned up was a wet, cold mess.... I cannot fault the place for bringing an alternative, but that also was inedible. ... so salty the kids thought it had chilli on it!! A refund would have stopped me putting this review on, £18.50 for one pizza, chips and a bbq sauce, but that was not an option. Extremely disappointed , but the delivery guy was nice... 🙂......

Delivery took 2 and a half hours, when delivery arrived it was wrong and my pizza was burnt, absolutely not worth the money, rang and complained twice while waiting - wrong item was delivered half an hour after I had eaten and the cheese garlic bread had only got cheese on half of it very very dissatisfied

Just had Calzone tonight neither of us could finish it. The BBQ sauce was sloppy and not of a thick consistency, the onion was still raw and it was burnt. Sadly not the first time from Romanos but not had one for a while so thought would try local. Won't be ordering again in a hurry. Very disappointing!

I have ordered pizza about 20 times from this place for collection and they always make it on time, never had any issues with delays. One time I went to collect and they said they burnt my pizza, so they gave me an extra one for free (plus the burnt one) and when I got home I opened the 2 pizzas and they were both fine. One time they offered me a free beer too. The only thing I would say is that there's always quite a lot of cheese, so it can sometimes be sloppy

50 minutes later than booked and both burnt! Gutted as we always order pizza from here. When I rang to see where the order was I got a standard response of sorry we are busy! 2 hours later than when ordered and on a Tuesday !! Very disappointing

What a disappointment. Not a patch on the old Romano's. Poor service, average food and quite expensive. Not everyone wearing facemasks.

Generally nice food but ordered food at 5.15 on website said delivery was 35mins, didn't arrive till 7.15 two hours we rang inbetween and said it's on it ways to you now that was another 30mins , chips were cold and a funny colour, pizza wasn't right cracking. Don't advertise a time if you can't deliver the service

Been ordering regularly during the past few months and we've had a few hiccups not worth writing about until tonight. Delivery turned up 20 mins late (after the latest Uber time) and was stone cold. The fries were not edible and the pizza once warmed through wasn't as good as we've had before. Really disappointed.

Really bad. I order at 16:12 and I receive my order at 17:30 . My calzone was black ( burn) outside and not cooked inside. Really really bad

Slow delivery about 45 minutes on top of the latest eta on UberEats. Maybe I am a bit further than usual deliveries at almost 4 miles. Burger was nice meat but felt like it had been kept warm for too long. Likewise the chips. Ate it all as was hungry and the toppings were nice. Forgot my bottle of beer. Apologised and gave me refund. Delivered by restaurant staff and not Uber (as I noticed on the app later).

Freindly staff, was a problem with order but that was easily sorted with no issues, will be back again, good food, compliments to the chef

We regular order deliveries (weekly) from this restaurant and when we ordered tonight we were given our usual expectant delivery time which was fine. 30 minutes after our delivery time our food had not arrived so I called the restaurant and they said it would be at least another 30 minutes which meant at least an hour late which was obviously unacceptable. When I asked why I was told it was because they were so busy with the “eat out to help out” that deliveries were delayed. I’ve been ordering with them since lockdown and before, they weren’t busy then. Got no apology from the lady on the phone and think it’s rather out of order. Will think twice before ordering again. Loyal customers lost.

Plenty of toppings and fair price, but way too greasy for us. Pizza box bottom soaked in grease. Acquired taste I guess. Shame because ingredients were fresh.

Must say disapponted in the Calzone from last night, normally the best for miles around. Would have taken it back if the weather hadn't been so bad.

Go there for Spanish lessons with Jenny. Followed by a delicious supper. Highly recommend the lessons, the food and the decor.

Food late and when final arrived flat cold

A lovely evening, welcoming and accompanied by first class pizzas and a cheeky bottle of Pino! Would highly recommend.

Arrived at 4.30pm, waited until 5pm to.get a seat upstairs as there was a party on. Then waited up to an hour to be served. Had to get our own menus, go to bar to give our order, then food took another half an hour to arrive and when it did if was wasted calories. Won't be going again

I attended a 40th birthday party here. It's a nice little venue. My mate hired the upper room for a late evening party (didn't get to try the food). Only let down for me was the mens toilet, a bit unpleasant like old pub toilets, which was a huge contrast to the lovely modern decor everywhere else.

Food great and the VVLHP hosted on Saturday 26th October was absolutely out of this world!!!

Usually really spot on but tonight we ordered a chicken pasta dish which came with no chicken!?!?! Spoilt our Saturday!

This place is fantastic. Been a fair few times now and love the owners and the food is way beyond lovely. If your looking for somewhere to go on a night out or a nice meal then this is the place. I wish I lived closer as I would never be out ot the place The first and only 5 star rating I have given. Really clean inside and out the owners are very house proud.

Found by accidant looking for a blue cheese pizza, and oh my did we find it, absolutely amazing, very tasty and good value for money, stunning homely feeling, friendly staff, nothing is ever too much trouble x

My first time visit was impressed with my food the staff and the prices reasonable prices not cheep and not too expensive menu' prices just right for all was pleased with my visit to Romanos Defiantly will visit again

Abysmal!! If I could give minus stars I would! Collected our order, only to find a burnt pizza; cold, stale and rock solid chips; garlic mushrooms looked extremely weird, I've no idea what they did to them, very soggy; the expected impressive 15" pork sausage sandwich turned out to be four regular sausages; and this is the very first time I have ever encountered peas in a spaghetti carbonara. Phoned to complain, received apologies and replacement for the pizza, chips and mushrooms, but the replacements were not much better than the originals. The delivery driver couldn't find our house (he called saying he was outside No.57... we live at No.50.... ) and asked us to give positive feedback! 10/10 for trying! Having spent over 33 quid on this order an apology and replacement of inedible food really does not go far enough! Complete spoiler to what had otherwise been a very enjoyable evening. I am afraid Romano's will not be getting our business in future.

Kitchen absolutely filthy. Staff appearance uniform dirty. Bar maid eating nuts with bare hands while drying glasses with a filthy tea towel. No class and no idea. What happened to the old Romanos

Food took over an hour to cook. I ordered the ‘ hand made burger’ - clearly not hand made, I’ve ordered hand made beef patty burger before and this definitely not the same. Manager / owner wasn’t about and 3 young kids running the show, messing about in the back. Shame because I’ll think twice about ordering from here again.

Outstanding place for friends and family

Romans getting bank to how it used to be. Cosy open fire down stairs with live sports. Up stairs is gamestastic! Pool, air hockey, baby football and basket ball shooting, all free! Booths and tables a plentyand a wide selection of food and drink.

Fabulous tasty ,home cooked wholesome food in a cosy atmosphere with a lovely real log fire...had delicious garlic bread, home made wedges and a tasty salmon and prawn dish. A very enjoyable meal cooked with proper fresh ingredients.

Over priced pizza which had cheap cheesy, could not pick a slice up with out the cheesy sliding off due to all the oil.

Absolutely brilliant, good size portions at a good cost, tastey food, and lovely staff!
