Roma to Go in Renfrewshire

I had heard lots of people talking about this place and I finally passed it on my travels and had to try it. I got the macaroni and garlic bread and my goodness was it good. Tasty as anything and the portion size was more than enough for me. Look forward to trying to their various pasta dishes.

Ordered 1 pasta, 1 pizza and 1 portion of chips and 2l of coke to my house, took 2 hours to arrive after the original delivery time got delayed, had to call restaurant and ask if it was on the way as I have now had to make my 4 year old something else to eat as it has taken too long, food arrived about 20 minutes later and the pizza and chips were cold, I'm sorry to say it hasn't been the first time this has happened as it's been a few months since we last ordered for the same reason and it seems nothing has changed. Bill was around £30

Just had the Cacciatore, which I have ordered on several occasions as it is always delicious and is my favourite dish off the menu. I especially love the blsck olives and capers in the dish, however this time there were no capers to be seen! What happened to the capers,? Have you run out or forgotten to put them into the dish? Although the dish was still very delicious, the missing capers were a little disappointing as they do add another level of flavour. Hopefully next time those little capers will make a re-appearance and my favourite dish will, once more, be back to it's full self again. 😁

I've just received this monstrosity from my Athena To Go order on Paisley Eats. I tried phoning to complain and hopefully get this rectified, but the wee lassy on the phone is pretending she can't hear me and hanging up. Ordered the mixed box meal, chicken and pork, fries, salad, tzatziki sauce and pita bread. Anyone who's had this before knows it should come like one big sandwich cut into four pieces. I've ordered this multiple times and it's been spot on. However, as you can see, this has just been thrown into the box like someone feeding the dog. The pita breads were found on top of each other on the side. At first I thought... is this a build it yourself deal today? But there are only 4 pita breads so it's clearly missing 4 other play pieces.... No tzatziki found anywhere in the mess. I cannot believe they've sent this out honestly... Must be someone quitting tomorrow and they just don't care anymore. Regardless, this was too shocking to ignore. Won't be back.

Food is outstanding,and lunch time menu is topnotch

Ordered a pasta which was meant to be pasta with a tomato sauce and Mediterranean vegetables. I got tomato pasta with broccoli, peas and some small bits of pepper and courgette. Very disappointed. I have also previously ordered the penne arrabiata which again was bland and boring. Definitely not authentic. I could make better at home tbh.

We ordered a delivery from here tonight, and although the food was delicious as always, it was over two hours before we received the order. We are only a 10 minute drive away, and although I don't expect the food within that time scale, I would have expected it within the hour at least. We have eaten in Roma to stay many times and ordered a delivery on several occasions before, but it will be quite a while before I would consider ordering again. Very disappointed in what was mothers day treat from my son. Is it possible that the Roma team are too preoccupied with their new venture and are slipping in the established one.

Well recommend this wee place, all 15 of us agreed, fantastic food lovely polite people and its NOT over expensive, we will go back 10/10

We went today for a late lunch and had the 3 course set menu and the food was very good & the service was fast, friendly & efficient. I was a chef to trade so can be fussy. Great value.

Quite unassuming with it being small, but the food and service is always great. Will continue to go.

The food was excellent but the serving staff dour and the restaurant drafty due to a gap between the front door and the restaurant. The front door is opened often and sticks which causes the constant draft.

Won't be ordering here again. Two and half hours for a pizza and a pasta dish to be delivered and when it does come the pizza is freezing cold and looks like it's been chucked together. If you can't deal with the amount of orders don't take as many.

Excellent food. Excellent service When for the fixed price menu. Excellent value for money. Portion size is Hugh. Pate looked home made and was nice and tasty. Wife's prawn cocktail was massive and did not skip on the prawns. Gluten free pizza was excellent and my main was superb. 2nd time in 2 weeks for me. 3rd or 4th time for wife. Excellent place for dinner. Gluten free pizza looked amazing. Service was really good. The portion size was a bit on the large size. Food was well prestend and value for money.

Ordered an amatriciana and paid an extra £1.50 for meatballs to be added - only received 2 tiny meatballs. Very unsatisfied as to be honest the 2 tiny meatballs were very tasty.

Popped in before we went to the cinema. We both had the seafood risotto and thoroughly enjoyed it - delicious and a very generous portion. Probably the best risotto I've had in a long time.

I really enjoy eating at Roma, never had any complaints. Always great service, smiling and polite staff. And the food is always just as good as the last. Highly recommended either sitting in or ordering out.

We ordered over the phone and collected our food and took it home for dinner We ordered two seafood risotto’s and focaccia with dipping sauce. The portions of risotto were HUGE !! Packed full of lovely fresh tasting seafood neither of us were able to finish our dishes and one portion would have easily done the two of us. The focaccia was lovely and I absolutely loved the tomato dipping sauces nice and spicy a good wee kick to it. Defo plan on visiting again

Incredible Italian experience and the food was such a delight, portions felt a bit bigger than we were expecting so we had to take some home as not to waste it 🫣 big shot out to the fellas in the kitchen who aced the food and the staff who served us out front, both spectacular! 🙏

Great food, about time an Italian restaurant /takeaway returned to Linwood.

Got a 12 inch pizza that had about 8 inches of toppings. A few small bits of chicken. Looks like it's been made on a 50 pence budget. Kebab city is cheaper and at least 10 X better.

Love Roma! Beautiful food both sit in and take away! Have been so good to me the last few times I've ordered a delivery because I am pregnant and have wanted things slightly altered and but unusual haha but hey have been amazing, thank you xx

This out of the way restaurant and takeaway in Linwood village is the jewel in the crown when it comes to eateries in the area. Enjoyed a lunch twice in a week due the excellent food and service. The restaurant has a bit of a rustic look but, there's nothing old and tatty about Roma,the Branzino Roma is now a firm favourite with me (sea bass) to you and I and, my sister-in-law said that the cheesey spicy balls (can't remember the Italian translation) were the best she had ever tasted and, both her and her hubby eat out Italian a lot. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meal and will definitely be back, friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable staff make your visit special and the prices are more than decent. Thank you.

I have been twice since new year, was always one of our favourites but now seems to be going down hill with each year. First visit in new year the thick haze of cooking smoke was terrible, new waiter was all over the place. Toilet could have been cleaner. However we returned again tonight Feb 3rd, but did not expect the place to still be the same. Womans/disabled toilet sanitary bin overflowing, gad knows last time it was emptied. Exposed tiles off the wall behind toilet,visible water running along tiles and wall. Problem with plumbing/sanitation? Couodnt see a cleaning rota check list. In general not clean. Mentioned to waiter on leaving that the smoke/cooking smells from kitchen was making the place to smoky hazy and warm. He said yes I think someone has forgot to turn on fans. I told him it was the same last time i visited and that the atmosphere was nipping my eyes. My opinion the kitchen and or restarunt extractor fans have not been working for some time. Why? Although the food is still the same, i have my doubts now about the overall cleanliness behind the scenes. We wont be back as the environment has gone visibly down hill, I feel also there is a lack of staff training and overall support now. Went home and washed the smell of food out my hair and clothes. .

I have never been here before but this was a very pleasant surprise. The meal was excellent, there was more than enough as well and the service was first class. If you are into Italian cuisine and near Linwood, give this a try, you wont be disappointed.

Food is really nice and reasonably priced with friendly waiting staff. Would definitely recommend a visit to try it out. However they have don't have a great selection of draft beers though, which is disappointing as I'm not a fan of Moretti (most people like it though). Getting some IPAs in would be great 😉

Got the lunchtime specials was very filling and would recommend this as it is great value for the portion you get.

An excellent and varied Italian menu. The food is tasty, well presented and affordable, service is polite and efficient. My wife had lasagne and I had chicken, broccoli, mushrooms cooked in a creamy sauce with pasta. We both enjoyed our meals and will be back.

4 of us have just had a fantastic 2 course lunch. All food was delicious and piping hot. Much better than the food we had on a recent trip to Rome . Service was excellent as well. Look forward to a return visit.

Had a booking in place for over two weeks for 9 people for a birthday celebration. Restaurant called half an hour prior to booking to cancel saying they had over booked. No other explanation given. Could not book anywhere else as a Saturday night and had to be at the 6pm due to having two children in our party.

Dined in at Roma the other day in the afternoon. We had heard good things about the restaurant and were so glad we had finally gotten around to it. I must tell you.. I like my Italian food but this was special. I had the meatballs as a starter.. Dreamy. And an Americano pizza to follow.. Just.. Wow! Everything was perfect and I was stuffed. Menu was excellent and varied. Service was great. Food was sublime. The bill didn't scare the horses either. The thing I like best about Roma..? It's just down the road and I can go there any time I like. :) I suggest you check it out. You'll thank me for it.

A friend and I had lunch here last week and it was delicious. Our waitress was lovely - can't remember her name (long dark hair) and our meal of pollo al pepe was very tasty, as always. Our starters of pate and deep fried mushrooms - mmmmm! I'll be back.

Went last night for a small family meal, we have been before in a larger family group and on both occasions we were not disappointed with the dining experience, from the food to the service. We had different types of meals from pasta, risotos and sea bass which the accompanying side was even altered from the menu choice to suit with no hassle at all. We all agreed it was lovely 😍 Service was excellent

Well lucky Linwood to have this gem of a restaurant! Not local to the area, we booked a table for 7 persons on a Saturday evening and had a great time. Staff were welcoming and attentive. Everyone enjoyed their meal so much, they included generous portions of pasta dishes and risotto with salad, all fresh and delicious and beautifully served. The separate take away part of the restaurant was popular and I can understand why! If only I had this lovely place in my area, it would be my go to restaurant, without doubt. Thank you for a wonderful meal!

We love Roma 2 Go but tonight we have waited OVER 2 HOURS for our order with no update. Called the restaurant to find out when we can expect our order which was a complete waste of time. First few times we called no-one answered. Finally someone answered and said we will get our order when it's ready... Very disappointed. Won't be back here for a while after this.
