We went here for dinner on a quiet Sunday night and we were so glad we did, lovely, warm atmosphere, incredibly friendly service and the food was absolutely lovely we ate from the specials menu and everything was perfection. Fantastic restaurant, no faults. 100/10

Visited just by chance as we were in the neighbourhood. The staff were excellent, rarely do you get such personal, honest service these days. The food was lovely too and at a reasonable price, I would go back.

Visited the Cafe Royale for breakfast today and I am glad that I did. Quality of food was very good and the staff were both efficient and charming. Had a glance at the lunch and dinner menus, which made good reading. Certainly intend to make a return visit.

Came in for a lovely Friday night dinner. We both had 3 courses, it was hard to refuse possibly the happiest waitress in Paisley. Food was so fresh, great wine and a brilliant atmosphere. To be recommended.

Un grupo de nosotros (primos) hemos estado aquí en junio y agosto para almorzar a la 1 pm el domingo y NUNCA nos han dado el menú del desayuno, pero esto es lo que nos dieron hoy. Cuando consultamos esto nos dijeron que nuestras reservas anteriormente deben haber sido para las 2 pm, pero esto definitivamente no fue el caso. Esto podría comprobarse fácilmente si el restaurante lleva un registro de las reservas, pero los textos entre nosotros los primos definitivamente tienen la reserva para la 1 pm - si hubiéramos llegado una hora antes el 23 / 06 y 28 / 07 , creo que nos lo habrían dicho cuando llegamos! No habríamos reservado para el almuerzo a la 1 pm por tercera vez si no estaba disponible hasta las 2 pm. Preguntamos si podíamos tener el otro menú como lo habíamos tenido en las últimas dos visitas, pero nos dijeron que esto no era posible, y que debemos equivocarnos sobre las reservas pasadas - se sugirió que podíamos esperar hasta las 2 pm, pero eso no era algo que estábamos dispuestos a hacer, así que pedimos algunas bebidas - todos sin hielo, pero tres vinieron con hielo - y pedimos comida del menú del desayuno y esperamos ... y esperamos ... y esperamos ... finalmente nos sirvieron a las 2 pm! Nos decepcionó que no hubiera disculpas por la espera. Uno de nosotros había pedido la Strascinati Pasta con Pollo e Pesto Rosso que debería haber contenido chile, pero era tan soso y carente de chile que le dimos al bebé una prueba de él y ella no bateó un párpado! Tomé el desayuno vegetariano que vino sin el hachís marrón que aparece en el menú, y la porción de espinacas - aproximadamente una cucharadita grande - era del tamaño que esperaría como guarnición, no como parte integral de la comida. (Soy uno de esos vegetarianos incómodos que esperan que el componente vegetal de una comida vegetal comprenda la parte principal de ella.) Me dijeron que debería haber pedido más, y me trajeron algo extra; habría sido difícil haber pedido extra antes de ver el tamaño de la porción, ya que mis poderes psíquicos son un poco deficientes. Ok, no nos cobraron por los Strascinati, pero la falta de sabor fue la verdadera decepción. La actitud general de que no deberíamos haber estado esperando el menú de la cena, y que todos estábamos equivocados al decir que lo habíamos tenido antes era totalmente inaceptable. No volveremos.

Regular visitor to Caffe Royale food and staff excellent was in today and the food did not disappoint. New menu is great along with the specials always plenty of choice. Definitely recommend booking in advance. 10/10

Visited Caffe Royale for first time and had a fabulous lunch here with the family. Nothing was too much trouble for the restaurant team who were brilliant. Food was excellent with lots of choice for everyone. We will definitely be back!

While in Scotland for the Open Championship, we had sampled much of the traditional fare and wanted a change. We ended up in Italy at the Caffe Royale. The food was amazing and after reading the chef/owner bio, his training and love of Italian cuisine shown through. The ingredients were fresh and perfectly cooked and seasoned. The service was fantastic. Alexander and the rest of the staff helped make the experience so wonderful, we went back the following evening to sample more of the menu. The portions are generous and the desserts are quite good and varied. Thank you for taking us back to our visit to Italy a few years ago. Highly, highly recommend this gem.

Friendly and popular spot. Had eggs Benedict but dry as it had continued to cook in the skillet served in. Expected more flavour. Friend enjoyed his fried breakfast.

Birthday dinner. Although the food & service was excellent, being the only customer with their back to the entire restaurant was not agreeable. It may be a cosy booth for some & I enjoyed looking at my partner but not a bus shelter & bill board either side of him. Sorry but will not be returning anytime soon as the owner didn’t see a problem.

Absolute joke wanted to go in for a coffee as it's a CAFE!!! The prentious Aholes said you need to book what a joke it's Paisley and a cafe not a Michelin star restaurant in London Get your heads out your behind and realise this as I have spoken to several people who agree It is wrong and you are alienating people as you don't know what they would come back and order what an attitude 😡😡😡

First time visit. Really enjoyed our brunch . Great value and good portion sizes. Full scottish breakfast, scrambled eggs with smoked salmon. French toast,bacon and maple syrup

Just back from having dinner at cafe royale for my son's high school graduation. Party of 5 and everything was five star from booking to leaving. The service we received was brilliant and all the staff took the time to talk to us and congratulate my son on him finishing high school. The food wow amazing. Will be recomending to friends and family and will be back. Thank you again for a lovely meal and great service

The staff are so accommodating I ordered an item not on the menu namely an omelette with cheese and onion Which came as ordered in a cast iron skillet cooked to perfection Nothing is too much trouble for the wonderful staff

Very disappointed with our visit today ...we came over from the westend especially for lunch ...we arrived at 1.50 and asked if we could have a table ...we were shown to a seat and then we were told that lunch finished at 2 o'clock and as they were short staffed they could only offer tea and coffee....we asked if they could at least do soup as my daughter was quite hungry and they said yes ...we ordered the soup and 2 coffee's...we then asked the waiter if I could have some toast but were refused ....we were somewhat confused as my daughters soup came with bread but it was a step to far to ask for toast ...we were in and out in 30mins ....as we were leaving the couple at the next table were just being served their main course but it was too much trouble to serve us some toast ....very poor experience...we had visited many times before ...hence the trip over from the westend but sadly won't be back .

Out for a lunch today Lovely relaxed atmosphere, no specials available but the menu is extensive and great. Well looked after, brilliant again. Evening meal this time, fabulous menu and great specials. Warm friendly atmosphere. Busy evening good times. January 2024 out with my wife for her birthday celebration, we had a lovely meal. we were well looked after by the attentive staff, food was amazing. They are the current best Scottish Trattoria restaurant and it shows.

Service extremely slow with drinks and meals. My uncle took us out for dinner as we were on vacation and he was extremely disappointed 😞

It was cold every time the door opened. If you can get a booth - take it. We were at the first table in the restaurant. We really enjoyed the food, they did great with my allergies restrictions! Service was excellent.

Caffe Royale is an underrated gem of a restaurant located just outside of Glasgow in Paisley, Scotland. I recently visited with a small group and enjoyed an incredible Italian meal that highlights why Caffe Royale has been shortlisted for the Scottish Italian Awards for Best Trattoria and Best Chef (Colin Guthrie). The atmosphere at Caffe Royale is warm, inviting and intimate - perfect for a special night out. We were greeted by friendly staff who were attentive without being overbearing throughout our meal. Claire was an absolute delight and she and the rest of the staff seen to all that was asked, and more. We began with Caffe Royale's freshly baked rosemary focaccia. It was delightfully chewy and flavorful, the perfect accompaniment for the meals to come. We had seafood pasta, overflowing with prawns, mussels and calamari in a light tomato sauce. The seafood was incredibly fresh and cooked to perfection. I had the carbonara, which was rich and flavourful but with a thoughtful twist - no heavy cream, which allowed the pancetta and egg to shine. Amazing. The rabbit stew featured fork-tender meat in an herbaceous broth with root vegetables. The Scallops and Ayrshire pork belly was the stand out for me. Melt-in-your-mouth delicious and balanced by the mildly spicy butternut squash curry velouté. The beer and wine selection was great, I even opted for an amazing espresso martini. At the end of the night we finished with some whisky (Balvenie), which is always a treat. Everything we tried at Caffe Royale was thoughtfully prepared and expertly executed. Chef Colin has a strong command of Italian flavors and ingredients that shine through in each dish. The cozy atmosphere paired with delicious food makes Caffe Royale a must-visit for outstanding Italian cuisine in Scotland. I can't wait to return and try more on the menu and highly recommend you do too.

Highly recommend, we had a delicious meal my husband had the fish stew which he really enjoyed full of fish and prawns I had my favourite sphagetti carbonara, all was fresh and homemade. Staff were lovely and attentive and were helpful with recommendations. Will definitely be back

Brought three friends for lunch today - one was having a birthday. The food we had was lovely. We were absolutely spoilt for choice with each of us seeing items we would like to try “ next time “. However, the occasion was made perfect by the lovely friendly service from a very smiley cheerful young waitress and her colleagues. This included serving our birthday cake for us 💜💜💜- can’t thank you enough- we’ll be back for sure !!

We called in with the Portree Gaelic choir (my husband is a member) for lunch, whilst taking part in the Royal National MOD. What an amazing cafe, wish I lived nearer. The staff were so helpful, the food was delicious, we had a selection of sandwiches and soup. A lot of us sampled the delicious cakes too. I would love to revisit sometime to try the rest of the menu. The choir even did a practice whilst there.

I was in a couple of weeks ago , with my friend and guide dog Wee Skye There was only outside seating available which was fine as seemed quite warm inside but got a table with shade for Wee Skye. Very happy to have been asked if Skye would like a bowl of water which we accepted for her. I had the mac n cheese which was really nice. Was lovely and creamy and quite rich. Garlic bread was nice too. A little side salad would have been nice too to help break up the rich creaminess of the mac cheese. It was a lovely smooth cheese and not too strong which I liked too My friend had the French toast with Nutella , she said it was nice but would have liked extra Nutella with it. Overall was very good, I need to try the carbonara ( without cream ) next 😊

I had a desert and coffee. The coffee is really good - as a coffee lover, I know what I'm saying. The desert was also good. I like the fact that during sunny days I can use the outside table.

My partner and I love this restaurant. We eat there very regularly and it is somewhere we are always made to feel welcome and it has a lovely atmosphere. The food is excellent quality and they really take great pride in preparing dishes to a high standard every time. It’s a great place for various occasions, a special celebration, a meal with the family or just a coffee and a cake. We always receive great service each time we visit. The staff are all extremely friendly and polite and nothing is too much bother. There are also outside tables which is handy.I definitely recommend visiting. Heather

Very impressive. Had an excellent evening here with friends last week and was pleasantly surprised at how professional this place was. First time in this converted bank and very impressed with decor. Staff is pleasant and efficient, food looked at freshly made and delicious . We had cake and tea which we enjoyed very much. Will go again but will book next time as it is very busy.

Absolutely loved this restaurant! Food & service was excellent.

Been a few times, Risotto was excellent, but would highly recommend the specials that change each week, especially for the starter Stornoway Black Pudding and Scallops and any fish dish for a main course with my own fav Rabbit wrapped in Prosciutto.

Lovely lunch with excellent service

Arrived around 1pm for lunch and there were no tables showing the popularity. We were able to sit at the bar table. Told that it was busy and it might be a wait for food but they would be as quick as they could. Can have no issues with up front communication. Service friendly, helpful and attentive. Food was all great. Went for the halloumi sandwich and everything about it was good. Filling with the hand cut chips. Will be back to try some of the other dishes. I am not huge into desserts but they did look great too.

Championing the small businesses @caffe_royale_paisley is a fantastic example of a great small business, delivering high quality ingredients for fresh tasty meal. We used to come here years ago for brunch as I lived in Paisley but kept meaning to come back for dinner as I always sat looking at the specials board those many times we visit salivating at the thought of the dishes. I was meant to meet a friend, who cancelled but I still wanted to come so the hubby obviously got brought a long. I love the decor and feel in here as an old converted bank to a charming cosy restaurant it just has the right vibes. The food was incredible 😋 For starters we had the special of calabrese crispy chicken thigh - calabrian njuda and pepperoni sauce. Uovo cotte con prosciutto- poached egg with roasted peppers, peas, chilli, napoli and garlic bread Both dishes seasoned well and very tasty. For mains we couldn't decide so we picked two dishes that we both really wanted and then we split, so we had The special of octopus, pork belly, cauliflower and a hazelnut puree. The pork belly cooked to perfection, juicy with a nice crisp bit of skin, octopus had a lovely char to it 😋 And Gnocchi con salsiccia- potatoes dumpling with Italian sausage, peas, caramelised red onion, chilli napoli and mozzarella. When I tell you this is one of the best gnocchi dishes I have ever tasted, I wish I had that whole dish to myself but in saying that the special we just as delicious. We had no room for dessert but took home some tiramisu and cannoli. This is an absolute gem in paisley, one thing Paisley does do well is small independents but this place is well under the radar, its food is spectacular and cooked fresh to order. Staff are so welcoming, accommodating and attentive. Was lovely to speak to the staff and have a wee chit chat even though the restaurant was busy. This place has it spot on
