Roma Pizza in Gateshead

Ordered online took 90mins to deliver. Yet its only half a mile away from where I live. NEVER AGAIN.

The food was cold and we was ill off the food. The child's pop was out of date since APRIL. 🤮

Ordered 2.5 hours ago. Still waiting. Rang them and they fobbed me off with "it's on the way"

Chips (frozen were half cooked,when you order a kebab people might like to make it themselves not made up and done so to physically cant pick it up because pitta Bread is falling to bits when unwrapped!! And who butters pitta bread? That should be a personal choice! Highly disappointed!!

Disgusting service. Disgusting food. Wrong order delivered. Delivery driver attempted to leave without giving nearly £20 change. Very sheepish when called back. Owner very rude on phone. Swearing and refused to send correct order or refund. Terrible place. Don't go here.

Amazing pizza shop, top quality and amazing taste. Definitely be using again, best pizza takeaway around my area by far!

One star only to leave review, absolutely shocking, waited 4hours, still no food , phoned up and cancelled, so called Galaxy pizza, the guy on phone was lovely and said food would be delivered in half hour ,cause he had another couple of deliveries for my end , well food arrived and was lush , guy very pleasant , so this place ,just give it a miss ✌️

Chips were raw kebab was under cooked the shop was shabby and dirty avoid at all times not a place to get take away

The chicken schwarma wrap with chips and garlic naan is great, well worth the money

Rez the owner has people working there for £5 an hour, his fridges were turned off cause “it’s cold enough outside”, the burgers are pretty much rotten before they go on the grill needs closed down at this point

Sent wrong order asked for garlic to be put in tub and they covered my food in chilli and when I rang up he says I’ll get you a new order sent out be with you in 30 mins waited an hour still no food he says are we can’t give you new food get on with it we aren’t doing anything very bad takeaway and delivery shop not recommended to anyone all bunch of idiots and they love throwing abuse about

I went to Roma and I tried to order food they dint speak English tried to make me pay extra had to spend 40 minutes before I got the food and customer service was disgraceful I shall defiantly not be ordering from Roma again and also food was horrible dry and cold I ordered chips kebab and curry all dry and curry was runny made me wright my order down cos the dint understand

I ordered in the last few weeks and I thought the standard would return. But the kebabs and chips I ordered today were awful. The garlic sauce was sour, vegetables disgusting. Also, the prices keep rising unjustifiably. I suggest you close up

I used to love roma but unfortunately its gone downhill. Just ordered a takeaway and it was disgusting, the garlic sauce was lumpy and sour, the chips where awful and the pizza just was not nice at all. Wouldn’t recommend.

Got 2 chicken kebabs and 1 Doner on sat absolutely disgusting got 4 bits of tiny chicken in soggy bread all salad well all red cabbage definitely not worth the money we paid and won’t be ordering from yous again

Waited two hours for cold food disgusting

Sweet chilli sauce was sweet and sour, pizza's didn't have a tomato base but used garlic sauce instead both between base and toppings and on top too. Realised three slices in that med veg pizza also had what looked to be the orange coloured mayonnaise stuff in between base and toppings (I'm allergic to mayo). Called the shop to ask in case I needed to take meds and they categorically said no mayo but it was clear to see and my partner tasted it. This pizza also smelled meaty when opening the box (although pizza looked great) and took those three slices to realise that the courgette had been chargrilled and most likely had been on the meet grill so had absorbed the 'meatyness' that way. Not a great experience for a vegetarian. Pre-bought chips had been dipped at least twice and were like chewy dust on the inside (not crunchy like they've been left under the heater too long). Ordered two cakes, had been frozen and were still frozen on arrival. Definitely hadn;t defrosted by the time I'd finished my three unpleasant slices. Shame, had potential but worst spent £30 in a long time.

Every order I've placed has been a little late - 5 to 10 mins, so not the end of the world. Tonight the order hadn't arrived 20 mins after the latest stated delivery time in my 30 minute window, so I called to check up was surprised to be told that my order hadn't been received - rather confusing, as when I gave the first line of my address the person on the phone knew my postcode... Mistakes happen, but lies are a no-no, so I'll not be ordering again. A shame, as they make some of the best kebabs and parmos around.

Will never order from here again, I think they are scammers. I asked for chicken nuggets and chips, he looked up at the board and I said its £2.80 he said oh you want chips? That's just for nuggets I said no it says up there beside chicken 'all served with chips' he was reluctant but did eventually. Total bill £3.80, I gave a £10 note and got £1.20 change I said no I gave you £10 and he laughed and said oh its the heat, I think it was done on purpose after not wanting to give me the chips included

Food never turned up after waiting nearly 2 hours!!

Every single order I have made in the last 3 years has taken over an hour. The quality of the food has plummeted and they dont seem to care. Will never order from here ever again.

Food arrived cold, salad was old and withered. The excuse was they only have 1 driver, this is not the customers fault! I was offered no solution, no replacement. She even went as far as calling me a liar saying she barely thought it could be cold. This place has gone downhill.

Been a customer here for a good 20 years but have to say just check reviews of how far this establishment has fallen... Last 3 orders, 1st completely wrong late and cold, phoned and complained, next order discounted and perfect and on time. This 3rd order again 30 minutes late and cold and when you complain the person you speak to doesn't understand what you're saying.... surprise.. All I know is the guy with the glasses who worked there for years was the making of that place. Now as I tried to tell them this evening I will not be ordering from them again (even though I am not sure they understood me) How far this establishment has fallen.....

Just had takeaway delivered, it was terrible, cold salad was very tiny, kebab meat cold no chilli as asked for. Only thing good was chipsasjed for no olives on pizza got olives in. Wouldn't buy , kebab from them again gone back to what it was years ago.

Ordered food at 7 pm tonight, half the order turned up at 830. Now 930 and missed food hasn’t even been made. Updated rang again at 10pm, pizza not even made, they were more concerned with my review. Maybe focus on your customer service !! Asked for refund of pizza, never got our fee garlic bread as order was £58 Never use again !!!

Just had a kebab delivered absolutely disgusting not even fit for the bin waited over an hour stone cold and the extras I ordered none existent weren't interested when I complained I think it may be time to shut up shop

Ordered food at 7, HALF the order arrived at 8:30pm. Called the restaurant and asked for the missing food to be sent out. Called an hour later to find out the food had not even been made and it still has not arrived. The staff member on the phone seemed more interested in a review we had previously left. Maybe they should concentrate more on getting orders sorted instead of looking at their reviews!!

Ordered a delivery with ETA 45 -50 mins. Rang up after an hour and told that they hadn't even started preparing the order, and it would be at least another 45 minutes. This was the second time we tried ordering them, the last order taking over 2 hours. I will not attempt a third order.

Paid for extras don't get them and then add extra chilli to pizza don't like it didn't order it going down hill fast will find somewhere else after years not good

I've had to edit my review due to the delivery I've just had waited about an hour and 15 minutes to receive 2 pizzas that were dry and not even cut in pieces. The kebab was cold and just little tiny bits of meat completely went down hill over the past year always got from here but won't be again.

Garlic sauce is the best around by far king size kebabs are huge. Love this place 🙌

Food and service is canny their salads have always been really good a love pickled cabbage but poor lately maybe trying to save money but disappointing if am honest 🤷‍♀️

Just had two hotshot pizzas and 1 kebab pizza tonight . Absolutely tremendous.

Over 2 hours for delivery. Same excuses about drivers. 8 year old waiting for his tea at 9:40pm. Terrible service...finally delivered at 9:50pm so won't be using again!

I started going to roma for pizzas about fifteen years ago,didnt live in the area but every time i was here id go to roma,never had a bad meal or experience,very nice staff and top quality food!!!

Absolutely disgusting kebab not cooked and chips could put a window out ..send another kebab and was not cooked still pink!! rang to complain again as was told your bard !!!

Awful. Just plain awful. Soggy half cooked chips cold garlic bread, no naan bread when paid extra one kebab with barley anything and on top of a cut open crumbling dried out pitta bread!!

You'll struggle to find anywhere better. Extremely good. The king-size kebab is a monster, too much for 1 person, but delicious. Especially the salad, and the spicy nann.

Wouldn’t even give this takeaway one star owner rude delivery didn’t come after two hours ended up cancelling Order and getting a refund after an hour and half I phoned to see where order was to be told that it would be ten mins wait twenty mins and still nothing rang back to be told they were having online orders problems and they hadn’t received my order when I went to shop for refund owner was rude and no apology

Food generally good BUT delivery service very unreliable and tbh attitude of staff not particularly good.My search for the perfect pizza shop continues..... I've amended my review.Ive stopped using the unreliable delivery service but did collect an order recently and the food was good and the lads were polite in the shop.

Ordered twice for delivery from here now. Both times order has been completely wrong. When rang to get them to correct, they state they are too busy to sort out and would ring me back. Didn't bother ringing me back. Rang again and told me would have to wait for new order, and not to touch any of the incorrect order as they will recollect. Asked for a refund instead. Place doesnt know its backside from its elbow. Will not be using again. Be wary that you may get food delivered to you that has already been sent to someone else's address. DO NOT USE!!!!

Took 2 hours to deliver 2 pizzas .... think it would have been longer if not phoned to ask where the hell they were. Oh and forget about getting a garlic bread or a bottle of pop if spending over 15 quid ..... you don't get them either ..... total joke ... won't be going there again

Regular customer ordered a kebab as normal for delivery waited hour and half kebab was freezing and very little of it rang to complain never got to speak with manager yet instead had a 3 way conversation totally not interested
