Literally just finished my food. Fish and Chips, Donner Cob for just over 12 quid. Piping hot still when I got home. Absolutely lovely...

Friendly staff and fish cooked freshly on arrival when ordering

Just had a lovely large cod chip and peas with a curry sauce. It was very hot and the cod was absolutely amazing. Thank you Rolleston fish bar. I recommend this place.

Great chippy good size servings and very rarely have poor chips due to the potatoes

Found this chippy in the local area and thought we would give it a try. I was behind a women in the Que that ordered Donna meat and chips and I must say it looked Devine. So while in the Que my head was doing summasults with what to have. I then decided on the meat and chips and what an experience. After arriving back at the job I dived in head first for a mouthful of tasting goodness. There was a funky taste to the sauce which was garlic mayo but I let this go and carried on eating. After finishing I looked back and realised how much I enjoyed this experience. Following this the next morning I went through the experience again as it left me and entered the pan. I would go there again to relive this moment!

Great fish and chips shop for the best around u can even phone your order though and pick it up no waiting in que fantastic staff must go to this place not to be missed great value for money fish, fishcakes ,plane sausage, battered sausage plane burger ,battered burgers fish bites, chicken kebabs kebab meat, tandoori meat , curry sauce gravy peas beans, gherkins and a good range of drinks in the fridge ect

I've been going to this fish and chip shop for years and always thought very highly of them. Yesterday I bought haddock and chips but the fish was awful. It was grey and tasteless and didn't taste remotely like haddock or cod. I can only presume that like so many other chippies that they substituted a cheaper bland fish. Very disappointed.

Me and my husband went here for our dinner we had pie (which was stale) chips (that were raw and hard) peas and gravy and a chip cob with gravy and a battered sausage it came to £17.10 which is so expensive for a chip shop and inedible food. When we phoned they said it’s because you didn’t say you wanted the pie meal as a meal deal?? Do you have to state you want it as a meal deal??? Surely that’s the most obvious choice?! All they said was next time say you’ve got a refund and we will get our food for free, however we won’t be going back

I do love the food from here but jesus do the staff have to be so loud !! Also I checked on line to see if they were open bank holiday Monday and it said it was. After driving over I found it was shut. Not an issue but for god sake update your website

Best fish and chips in Nottinghamshire

Already been in complained about the food regarding chips aspecially as I keep seem to being fogged of with hard bitty chips isit because I'm young why isit the best chippy in Arnold the one chippy I've been going to since a kid has completely lost its touch and turned to crap this batterd sausage is awful I wouldn't feed it to my dog it's that hard I've been meaning to complain about the batterd sausages and keep forgetting 2weeks ago I officially complained to staff about the chips and fish cakes and I was told I should of said something sooner so they can make sure it doesn't happen again a week and a half later I'm back to be fogged of with hard chips and hard batterd sausage I would of bought it back but I simply can't due to my back I'm one very disappointed customer and if I don't see change in the next few weeks I certainly will be going to a different chippy really disappointed local just goes to show staff don't really know thier customers I've lived here my whole life and fogging me off with technically scraps I'm absolutely fuming I'm not going to lie I've spent way to much money in this chippy over the years to be treated this way its really not on and acceptable 0/5 stars from me simply because I've already complained my review will be changed when you improve untill then so long....

We have quite a lot of fish and chip experience, but Greg and the Rolleston Fish Bar staff are the best, the cod is amazing, the chips perfect, and our kids say the gravy is the best they have ever had.

By far, the best chip shop I've been to in Nottinghamshire. Always fresh fish, great portion sizes, and very well priced. Definitely recommend

Greg and the ladies make what other chippies fail to do look simple. Fast and efficient service ( phone to order pick-up simple and no nonsense). Food is always plentiful, and the fish is fresh from the nearest source and not stale from the River Trent like some establishments offer. Overall I can say out of all the chippies in a 5 mile radius the Rolleston has my vote and you can be rest assured that they understand the simple fact that if the food is value for money and fresh as can be then you will return. Which sadly isn't the philosophy of the majority of chippies. Keep it up guys your doing a grand job and no I'm no relation lol... just Big John a customer that appreciates good service and fresh food.

Have eaten at many places before, but the food we had from here was very good. Without going too far we will not be going anywhere else for fish and chips.

Moved away to Leeds. The fish & chips in Leeds are inferior to Nottingham. Also, cod roe isn't available. I really enjoyed it on a recent return trip to Arnold.

Not been in Rolleston Fish Bar for a long time but we were returning from shopping so we nipped in. Staff were friendly and chatty. I waited for the fish as we ordered Haddock and we had fresh chips also. Very tasty very reasonable price. Well done 👏👏

I occasionally pop in here for a quick snack if I'm hungry and won't be home anytime soon (no more than once every week or two, as I don't live on fast food). Pleasant staff, and chips are always nicely done and not greasy. I've been in several times recently (2023 update) and it is as good as ever. A nice chip shop that is highly recommended.

Came here yesterday after reading all reviews we was not disappointed very nice food, good on street parking didn't take long to get our food and amazing portion sizes, my hubby said it's on par with fish and chips you can get at the seaside. We will be back again 🙂

The Best local Fish &Chip shop bar none. The right mix of quality, price & service, ( although the queues are always long, well worth the wait).

Cod was lovely and white and the batter crunchy and not too thick. Usually very busy which is why I think the servers can come across as a bit sharp. They are busy and it can be a bit load making it hard to hear what they and you are saying to each other.

Have lived in Arnold 20 years and still the best chip shop. Tried the other local ones including Nottm Road and both shopping centres but can’t beat this chippy. The portion sizes are bigger and food is fresher than others. Everyone has had to increase the price so I still think it’s valued when the smallest portion feeds 2. The staff are friendly, the 2 brothers are always happy to give me a wave when out and about in Arnold, and when I was returning from a late day shift they even gave me extra free food which was so kind of them as I was too knackered to cook. The halloumi fries and halloumi burgers are knockout.

Sometimes you get a meal that isn’t up to par, it happens. But this is the 3rd time my chips were undercooked and luke warm. This seems to be after week close down for refurb?! I rated this place best in Arnold last year. Really disappointed, will try elsewhere.

On par with some of the good chippys I've been to in Nottingham. Food was nice, fresh. Abit expensive but overall worth it as a treat! Would of rated 5 stars if was cheaper.

When MOVE-4-U Removals are working in Arnold there’s only one place to eat at lunchtime Rolleston Fish Bar…….no other chip shop comes close…..quality food every time! It’s 5 stars all the way from us👍

Consistently good fish and chips

Food always good, they need to help pensioner's more and offer smaller portions. Most pensioner's end up throwing half of their meal away which is costly for people with little money.

We love this fish shop. Always go when we're visiting family in Arnold from Scotland. Great service, great banter , great price and the food is awesome. Just finished another fab tea. Scampi was brill👍

Love it here, chips are delicious. However the past few months service has been lacking, a couple of examples are; A few weeks ago I orded 2 large cod and chips (as cod is the only fish I can eat) only to get home to find that I have 2 Haddock. Then more recently I asked for a battered sausage, staff eeaskes me if it was battered or plain. I said it was batted that I wanted, only to get home and find the sausage wasn't batted. It really is a shame as the food is lovely, it's just half hearted service. On these 2 occasions it hasn't even been busy and I was the only one in the shop.

Very rude women that work in there. Had a go about my 6 year old looking in the fridge. We used to go every week but we won't be going again. My little girl just looked in the fridge while I was paying and they had a really bad attitude.

Not as good these days seem to be doing telephone orders and ignoring the customers stood in the shop I paid and waited 25 mins and they then realised I was still waiting for my food while they served people who just walked in a massive line of people outside straight past them boo

Couldn't tell what the food is like because both times I been I've ended up walking out! The main man shouting constantly, so the other staff can't hear the customers order, if you want extra staff on the tills then ask not shout! Never mind the waiting time when only 1 person was waiting.

Not the best fish and chips in the area .. in fact the fish was dry and tasteless .. it was only the salt and vinegar that gave it any flavour.. Overpriced at £14.30 for 1 chips 2 fish and a pot of mushy peas, especially for what it was
