I hope I am reviewing the correct place. We visited Dainteas Tea Room for lunch and it was perfect. Welcoming and friendly staff. Delicious home made food. If I lived nearer I would be a frequent visitor.

On reading previous reviews I chose this place on that basis. Unfortunately it was a disappointment, this was because the overall cleanliness was not up to a reassuring standard. The photos are not a true representation of the place. It was shabby and looked uncared for.

Dore has created a quirky eatery with lots of charm and cycling charm. Cherry atmosphere and a restricted choice of hot food. The cakes and flapjack s arescrumptious.

Decided to stop off for some late breakfast on Sunday and we’re really pleased we did.. The owner is chatty with a good/blunt sense of humour, and the food is fresh and really very tasty, what more do you want!! Will definitely go back again!

Visited on Thursday on way to friends after googling eating places in area. Best click made in a long time. This place is virtually a one man band but don’t let that stop you. Ex London chef who had 10 chefs under him going on a new venture - Marco Pierre White had called in the day before for breakfast and was suitably impressed too. All produce is locally sourced - my chicken salad (not on menu but not a problem to provide it) was so tasty; hubby had the steak sandwich to which was added a little blue cheese on his request was melt in the mouth and so tasty too; finally sister had the roasted red pepper and blue cheese quiche and that was great too. People already in the cafe were tucking into full English which I think would have kept me going for a full day. We brought home some of the homemade cakes and enjoyed these at night. So, an amazing experience all round and it’s a shame that we live almost 300 miles away or we would have become regulars here - maybe that’s a good thing for my waistline though LOL. If you’re local or passing then please call in and try this little hidden gem. There are also other workshops around too

Came across this place by pure chance, a little ramshackled looking from the outside, but inside a clean, quirky place with a great feel to it.I asked for a bacon sandwich which they didn't have as they only get locally sourced bacon, which would arrive tommorow, I asked if the sausages were locally sourced, which they were so I gave them a chance as I tend to avoid them in a cafe. What followed was the best sausage sandwich I've ever eaten, real, top quality meat, an extremely generous portion, along with a huge mug of lovely tea, milk served in small jug.Normally after a breakfast in a cafe I swear I'll never do it again, but this place has compelled me to write my first ever review on trip advisor. These people obviously take alot of pride in the place and it shows in the food.

I’ve been here loads. I’ve been with mates for a cooked breakfast after a heavy night, I’ve been with my young kids for lunch, I’ve been with my wife for a lovely lunch. I highly recommend it. The owner/chef/waiter is great. Really passionate about food, particularly the locally sourced aspects, he’s also really happy to talk through the menu and recommend different things depending on what you like. The most astonishing thing about it all is the price. It’s such good value. Last time I went the card machine wasn’t working so you might want to check if you don’t noramlly carry cash. But the owner overheard me saying I wasn’t sure I had enough and offered to let me pay by PayPal! I did have enough in the end, but it goes to show how welcoming, flexible and ammenable this pave is!

Went to the tearoom today , first time since the new owner took over and we were not impressed so far , the breakfast wasn’t that good and smaller than before . he seams to have lots of ideas for different food, but needs to get the basic stuff right first and my wife thought the tearoom needed a good clean let hope for an improvement

Popped in on a Saturday morning half way round a 60 mile ride with a couple of friends. Friendly welcoming staff, good selection of tasty cakes a good size cups of coffee, they even filled our water bottles for us. They take card payment which is essential when you are not carrying cash on a bike ride. We will be certainly planning our routes in the future to take in this little gem again

Popped in to this local tea room with the wife for a spot of lunch. Haven’t been there for a while and what a lovely surprise. Bigger menu and specials, great breakfasts all set in a lovely vintage environment. The service was excellent polite, unobtrusive but friendly. Will be visiting more often in the future, we’ll worth a visit plenty of parking too!!
