I order from here weather it’s take away or sit in. But both ways it’s amazing I always get great service. Best place ever. And they GAVE ME PEPPERS I LOVE THEM!!!!

The food should have stared in frozen as the leading role? Complete Tasteless, chips was cold service cold hearted, this is the worst kabab place I’ve ever eating at without question, we’ll we live and learn,

This is the first time I’m reviewing on TripAdvisor because the food was so bad and poor quality. The food was disgusting, diabolical I wouldn’t feed this to my cat. You call this food you must be kidding me. What a waste of my money threw everything in the bin. First and last visit.

Good Turkish kebab takeaway doing Turkish food. Good doner, bread and homemade chilli sauce. Ditch the chips and have salad.

I ordered a mix platter from this restaurant via uber eat. Food came on time. I was so excited to have the food as I like Mediterranean food. When I took my first bite of the lamb tikka or adana it smelt soo rotten I gagged and spat it out of my mouth immediately! The whole platter was rotten and dare I say disgusting!

I’ve been here many times for a kebab with friends. They do decent portions and fresh pita bread brought to your table to have with your dine in kebab. It’s an ok place with a mixed clientele it’s hygienic and they clean the tables regularly.

Visited this food outlet numerous times, normally I've had a pleasant visit when two of the younger members of staff (male/female) are working, food cooked well and good customer service. However last few times I've been there a older member of staff who has been there, firstly he wouldn't honour my student discount which is advertised in the window without a valid reason, also he burnt the Turkish bread. It's luck of the draw who you'll get to serve you when visiting here, but with plenty of other takeaways nearby you won't be stuck for food.

BEST DELIVERY FOOD EVER! Just got my adana kebab, chop shish, chicken shish and mixed donner meat with veggies and it was the most delicious food I ever had! ate too fast forgot to take a pic, but thank you for this delicious dinner🥳

The fish and chips here were terrible. I ate here in September when i first moved to Birmingham and it was horrendous then. Stupidly i went back as i decided to give it another chance. What a mistake. The fish tasted like it has been sat around for days and tasted of burnt oil, as did the chips. I mean how hard is it to cook chips FFS? I think the oil must be really old, i cant think of any other reason the food is so disgusting here. Avoid this place.

Amazing kebab. Two small Doner, all the salad....Minty yoghurt sauce!! Where's my pitta bread I thought.....Two massive chunks of the most gorgeous sweet salty bread.....beautifully greasy.....just beautiful!! I am going back to the O2 Academy in May.....I am already looking forward to this treat. The staff are just the right side of grumpy/friendly.......don't change!!

Superb range of food, both Turkish and Pizza, Chips etc. We had a mixed maze and mixed kebab on a plate, loads of dips, olives meat, rice, salad and bread. We ordered a lamachun (turkish pizza) which they forgot to bring, when we reminded them they brought us two! Great food, lovely people, loads of turkish people eating here. Next time we’re going to try the Turkish special, it looked lush.

Popped in for a kebab with chips and was very very disappointed. The staff were rude and unfriendly (just like their Fish and Chip shop down the road) and the food was nasty. Chewy, gristly meat and no salad provided at all. Binned the lot and ate elsewhere.

Turkish food is not as popular as Indian or fast food outlets in Birmingham but it’s slowly taking off and a few restaurants have opened up, Turkish doner meat is even harder to find as not all Turkish restaurants serve it. Rod Roj has been open for a few years, it’s one of those places you just walk past year after year. Finally someone recommended I try the food there, so me and a friend went to try it out. The place was clean and the staff were very fast at serving and taking orders, I ordered a doner kebab meal which was served with rice, Turkish flat bread and freshly cut salad and it only cost £5 which is good value for money for the amount of food they give you. The doner meat was taken out the bain-marie (pre cut and left in a container in a water bath), the doner meat had gone cold and let out that grease that catches on the top of your pallet. The bread and rice was decent but let down by the doner meat! Would of got 4 stars had the doner meat been served hot and cut off the roll fresh. I may try again in a few years.

This isn’t your regular kebab that you get from your local chippy. I always have the grilled chicken skewer. It’s cooked on the grill and served with nice flat bread, salad and rice. It’s my absolute favourite kebab place and well worth a visit.

The food is just average but thats not the problem the big problem are the staff very unfriendly and unhelpful the only thing they care is your money. I used go there regularly but I don’t think I will go again!

This is our local chippy and we keep giving it another go. Sorry but I have had enough now and will never go back. Fish was soggy and grey. Pie was so hard it could damage your teeth. Chips had so many yucky black bits....
