Avoid this place. Ordered off Uber eats was expected the food not to be piping hot but at least mid temperature, the food was absolutely freezing, I l ordered a sausage, donner burger and a portion of wedges. The wedges were stale, the donner was so black and burnt and stank like it has been sitting there for days and the sausage was absolutely freezing and it looked as if it hasn’t been cooked from the inside. They need to be shut down or some serious health precautions need to be taken into place for serving people food like that it’s taking the piss.

I had a terrible experience at Big John's in Erdington. I ordered two chicken burgers and asked to upgrade them to meals with chips and drinks. The guy serving me clearly heard my request, but he purposely overcharged me. He charged me for an extra burger and added the cost of one chips and drink, even though I was getting chips and drinks with both burgers. It was clear he was trying to take advantage of me. The food was also awful. The burger was dry and cold, and the chips were like cardboard. I only went there because it was my last option, but I’ll never return. Dixy does much better chicken, and Mother Hubbard is far superior for chips. Please be cautious when ordering here and always ask for your receipt, as they seem to purposely withhold it to hide overcharges. It’s probably not the first time they’ve done this, and it’s really disappointing to see this kind of behavior.

I used to love getting food from Big John’s in Erdington, Birmingham, as the food and service were great. However, my recent experiences have been disappointing. The chicken has been incredibly dry and chewy, with a plastic-like texture. When I brought it up with the staff, they just insisted it was freshly cooked, claiming it had only been made “10 minutes ago,” which didn’t seem honest. It’s sad to see the quality go downhill like this. I hope they make some improvements soon because it used to be so much better!

My order arrived quite early, but when I opened the box, I noticed that the salad was missing from the healthy meal deal. I promptly contacted the store via telephone they assured me that they would send me the salad as soon as possible. However, it’s now almost 5:41 p.m., and my food has gone cold while I’ve been waiting for the salads. I’m deeply disappointed with the service from the store, and unfortunately, I’m unable to eat the cold food. To make matters worse, I haven’t received the salads either.

I did not received my order and may not continue in patronising your business because of this reason. I couldn’t track my delivery on the map and no one gave me a call to claim my delivery.

Food was stone cold, full of grease and the panini was so spicy i couldnt eat it. Even though it never stated it had any kind of spice on it. Was really disappointed for the price i paid.

Happy with my order didn’t receive my 4 cookies

Walked in and ordered a pizza but when selecting the toppings I was told there is a limit to 4 topping with extras at 50p each. Please update your signage John, as customers don't know this until the order is payed for, the 4 toppings is inadequate. Staff seemed disinterested and lacklustre when questioned. Shame as I've been coming here since its opening but I probably won't bother again.

Great , stopped using just eat as a few problems with delivery, then a friend recommended Big Johns because they have there own delivery staff. no problem found me 3 times now. very pleased

Their foods always delicious and on point , the staff are always beyond sweet and kind , whether u buying food in the restaurant or delivering on just eat , they'll never disappoint. I'd highly recommend trying the Mix Kebab and Chips

Not the best branch around. Found hair on the chips, missing drink from a meal i ordered (they gave a straw though lol?). Curry sauce was too runny for my liking - other branches have more flavourful, thicker curry sauce. My burger was missing relish (i didn’t ask for this to be removed) Don’t think I will order from here again. Disappointing.

Food over cooked over sauces and over priced... so I have to update this review as it won't let me make a new one.. I visited again after having a taste for good old chicken and chips like back in the day.. only we're here today.. where the staff are very customer service lacking.. personality of a dead fish.. so unenthusiastic... its like they hate they're job to the max.. But anyway let's get down to the food... alot of chips shops are refrying there chips ... so instead of throwing them away or giving extra portions to prevent waste they're are refrying them.. yesss.. believe it it's true .. now you can tell this because the chips appear wrinkly.. over cooked .. dark and tasting horrible and no amount of salt and vinegar will help these dead chips .. now big John's are slightly clever hear.. as tge cook their chips lightly so when refired they don't look it lol.. but they are wrinkly on appearance also they have a weird chewy texture and the ends are so sharp they wreck your gums and almost break your teeth.. the chicken was a joke in portion size had I not walked away from the establishment already I would have taken this back .. chicken breast .. not a full breast may I add.. but half but a quarter size honestly it was a joke.. not freshly cooked like I'd asked because I didn't want the pieces in the cabinet they looked dry.

Don’t usually have problem with food from here but today was awful every item was stone cold , if it wasn’t for children being hungry then I would of sent it back , so had to microwave it , which made the taste not good

I have ordered food from here several times and have never had a problem. The food is rather nice especially their chips and veggie burgers. I also enjoyed the vegetarian pizza. The portion sizes are big here so if ordering chips you might want to share a box. Also there is no free parking near by but it is in most bus routes

i’m not happy, the delivery driver took advantage of having my name and address and decided to add me on social media. this makes me uncomfortable and it’s really not acceptable as i’m 16. and i look young this is not okay and i feel unsafe.

Delivery was early and the man was very kind and followed the directions perfectly HOWEVER the restaurant DID NOT! I paid £16 for a meal I could NOT eat! The meal was cold and the battered mushrooms were petrified and shrivelled up and freezing cold! I said I only wanted salt as I am ALLERGIC to vinegar and they smothered my meal in vinegar and so I then after I ate a few chips and then smelled the chicken soaking in the vinegar I had to rush for my epipen to shoot myself with it! Disgusting!

Recientemente visité Big John en Erdington y hice un pedido de pescado masala con pan naan y ensalada, junto con un refresco. Concretamente solicité una gran porción de pescado y me informaron que el coste total sería de £ 11. 98 . Sin embargo, cuando me entregaron el pez masala, era mucho más pequeño de lo que había anticipado, de solo cinco o seis pulgadas de tamaño. Expresé mi descontento al personal, afirmando que había pedido una gran parte, no una normal. Insistieron en que solo tenían una talla disponible, que no me fue comunicada en el momento del pedido. Me decepcionó y sentí como si me hubieran cobrado de más por la pequeña porción que recibí. Hubiera cuestionado esto aún más, pero el miembro del personal murmuró algo que no podía entender. En mi opinión, si un cliente solicita una porción grande y se le da una pequeña, es engañoso y el cliente debe tener derecho a un reembolso.

Really loved Big John’s but since going to here more and more, the staff just doesn’t seem like they’re in a work environment constantly talking whilst customers are waiting to order, food has started to become a mess just all slapped together, cannot fault the woman that works here at all she seems the only one who knows how to do her job properly but the men are just rude and arrogant and when your foods done seem to just enjoy throwing it at you instead of politely passing it.

Pedido para entrega a través de la aplicación Uber eats. Pedí una pizza de 12 pulgadas y una hamburguesa Donner. El conductor de Uber llegó con la orden menos la pizza dijo que regresaría a la tienda para recoger. Llame a la tienda para verificar a la persona en el teléfono dijo que contactar a Uber no es su responsabilidad. Después de haber contactado con Uber se estableció para qué parte de mi comida que habían entregado solo para encontrar mi hamburguesa llena de cebolla que no pedí pedir cebolla me pone enfermo, así que ni siquiera puede simplemente quitarlo. Así que básicamente pagó 26 libras por unas patatas fritas y una bebida. Tienda no interesada en quejas y la aplicación no me deja registrar una segunda queja sobre la hamburguesa. Un cliente habitual que no volverá a pedir de ellos ya que su política de quejas es basura, así como el servicio al cliente.

Ordered off the app. The order was redirected to this store. We waited 1hr 30mins with no update. They replaced the Milkshake to Ice cream. Missed the sauce on the chips and all the food was cold. Rude customer service when we called to chase up the order and was told we should be grateful they’re sending us food as they could’ve cancelled it. Absolute joke.

Cold food no sauces on items when asked no milkshake when ordered replaced with ice cream. AVOID AT ALL COSTS, THE FOOD WAS ABSOLUTELY ATROCIOUS. Chips also tasted mouldy and stale.
