The Rocpool Reserve was a real gem and handy as a base for exploring Inverness and its surrounds. They even provided jellybeans in the lounge when we were visiting so we could sit around in the evenings and just enjoy the restful environment. Their signature onsite restaurant Chez Roux was superb and lived up to its billing for both breakfast (their custom jams were magnificent) and dinner. Our only regret was having only 3 days in inverness as the Rocpool Reserve was that good that we wanted to stay longer...

I stayed in Rocpool Reserve Hotel in August 2018. Chez Roux restaurant was one of my main reasons for staying there. The hotel itself is worthy of its 5 stars. The welcome to the hotel was warm. The building is beautifully furnished with a relaxed atmosphere. The staff were attentive but inobtrusive, making my stay very enjoyable.

As a fervent world traveler and real estate agent with an appreciation for old-world buildings, my recent dining experience at Rocpool Restaurant in Inverness was a delightful blend of historical charm and culinary excellence. Nestled in the heart of the Scottish Highlands, Rocpool seamlessly marries exquisite cuisine with the rich tapestry of its historic surroundings. Upon entering Rocpool, the ambiance whisked me away to a bygone era, where elegance prevailed. The warm, inviting atmosphere harmonized with the restaurant's commitment to preserving the building's historical essence. The attentive service enhanced the overall charm, making my dining experience feel like a leisurely stroll through time. The menu at Rocpool showcased culinary mastery that left my taste buds in awe. Our choice of the duck was a symphony of flavors, a testament to the chef's skill and dedication to providing a gastronomic journey paralleling the historical richness of the surroundings. The old fashions served were equally impressive, perfectly complementing the decadence of the meal. Overall, Rocpool Restaurant is a haven for history enthusiasts and culinary connoisseurs alike. The fusion of exquisite cuisine, impeccable service, and a touch of historical charm, combined with the delightful duck and impeccable old fashions, ensures my return for more memorable culinary adventures in the future. #whoyouchoosematters #bjsellsjax #thebobbiejeandemunckgroup #travelwithbobbiejean #rocpool #scottland

My family and I were lucky enough to stay at Culloden house early January 2025. We had come from Australia for a white christmas and planned to see Culloden battlefield the first day the opened on January 3rd. Firstly the property is outstanding! So much attention to detail and everything so beautifully presented. Secondly, which is probably most important, the staff are also outstanding. We stayed in various places for the month of December and Culloden houses and staff provided the most outstanding service. Every single one of the staff members were outstanding and gave exceptional customer service. I originally booked the accommodation with Fiona McClean last February and her service at that time was so professional and friendly. She advised you would be closing for maintenance right after New Year, but then offered to find out if any other guests might want to extend their stay, and if so, would definitely open for us. Within 24 hours she was back to me to say yes , you would definitely open for us and they delayed maintenance to fit in with our plans. Right from the very first dealing, Fiona gave a very positive impression and I knew our stay would be wonderful. From the moment we arrived we were treated like royalty. We were advised that we were in fact the only guests and we were all upgraded to a suite which was a wonderful surprise. The lady on reception, the man greeting us and taking our bags, and all the staff in dining room for both dinner and breakfast gave such excellent customer service and all made us feel very important and special. The breakfast lady insisted on packing a small take away bag of food for 2 grandaughters who didnt make breakfast. So a very big thank you from all of us. I am in a service industry and I do know how hard it is to get staff who care. Yours are all very special. We were only with you for one night, but it was an exceptional way to finish our holiday

We called here on our way to Lock Ness as we were staying in Durnamuck for a holiday, the coffee was really nice (proper coffee not instant crap) and the apple & cinnamon scone was delicious so soft and just perfect. The staff are super friendly and welcoming, definitely on our favourites list for when we are back up this way.
