Please avoid this pizza shop I paid £16.50 for a large pizza chips and drinks and I didn’t even fill my family enough food was disgusting I’m so disappointed I avoid going to this place disgusting! Rip off!

£18.99 for the smallest pizza they had to offer and another £5 for BBQ wings that wasn't even barbecued. Plus delivery fee and service charge. So I paid £26 for absolutely nothing. Didn't even touch the sides. Never thought rocket Joe's would charge that much for what's like a starter. Never ordering again. RIP off conning filthy weasels.

Spent £30 ordered a pizza and it literally had one meat ball one thin slice of sausage and one pepperoni on each slice. How stingy can you get it won’t hurt to add a little bit more meat I’m sure you won’t go out of business if you put few more meat toppings never again. I would have been a regular your loss.

Ordered for my first time at "Rocket Joes Pizza" my mother phoned in to order the pizza. She is old and cannot walk far so I had get the pizza for her. Entered the shop and waited at the front desk for 3-5 minutes while they carried on in the back afraid to approach me or something like that. Finally someone approaches and decides to serve the guy behind me in the line? The guy behind collects asks for his collection order behind me and the guy serves him? Excuse me? I am then nodded at finally and ask him for my collection order despite waiting longer than the guy behind me? 0 stars for customer service. As for the pizza I bought a 12 inch turkey ham, pepperoni and black olives pizza for around £20.00. This pizza was about 29% pizza dough/crust 70% cheese and 1% tomato sauce. The olives were slightly tough and you could tell they were not fresh as if they were refrigerated. The cheese was mediocre not bad but not good I'd say there was too much of it to be honest. Couldn't taste the turkey ham it felt a bit dry but not bad texture wise. The pepperoni was the one good thing but it was not exceptional tasted great but again not fresh was slightly tough. The tomato sauce or what little there was atrocious. It was spread extremely thin it tasted awful to be honest it tasted like watered down tomato sauce mixed with a ton of garlic. It was the worst part of the pizza. All in all the pizza was mediocre or I'd say under mediocre it is one of the worst tasting pizzas I have tasted to be honest and pizza is not that hard to mess up in the world of food making lets be honest. The parking is atrocious you will not easily find parking nearby you just need to get lucky. All in all with the awful first time experience from their service something which I have never experienced before in the 20+ years I have lived in Cardiff Rocket Joes now get this special trophy. The atrocious tasting pizza and the obscene cost for a small pizza at £20.00 when competitors charge better pizza and more of it for half that price. Plus the awful parking and simply driving out all that way. I cannot say I will be visiting again. Edit forgot to mention the online ordering system is a headache and doesn't clearly layout how you customise the second pizza in a buy 1 get 1 free special offer. Overall 46/100 Recommended alternatives: Pizza Gogo - £10.99 4 free toppings for a 15 inch pizza. Taste and service are a 99/100 Dominos - £11.99 (varies) collection 2 free toppings for a 13.5 inch pizza. Taste and service are a 78/100

APPALLING CUSTOMER SERVICE!! I will never order from this place again! Myself & husband have been a customer for quite some time making home delivery orders & walk in visits Lastnight they refused my order saying they don't deliver to my area..I then said yes you do you have delivered to me plenty of times..wouldn't take order.. My husband then rang and placed a fake order for 89pound odd said area..he said is that ok to deliver..yes yes ..so my husband then said so why the hell did you refuse my wife's order? (My order was just under 50) They literally started laughing on the phone to my husband..but at least they didn't get the 80odd pound order... absolute joke......also I will say we AVOIDED Thier chicken at ALL cost...the chicken is so dy it's awful and the skin on is rock hard you could knock somebody's front door with it and the skin still wouldn't shatter....I will never line Thier pockets again

Nice little shop, friendly and great service. Nice pizza and fries. We had two of each to go. Pepperoni pizza great, I had the special and found the meat balls very herby! Otherwise nice experience over all good was also OK. 👌

We ordered later in the evening. Pizza arrived on the wrong base& was cold. When you're paying for food you expect it to be hot at the very least. The attitude was when we called that they were closing soon, so tough, basically!!! They are fine with sending out naf food. We were regulars but never again after that!!!!! Until today we used this place regularly and always enjoyed it. They sent the wrong pizza, incorrect base and when we contacted them the attitude was that they were due to close soon. The food was cold. So obviously they are ok with sending out naf food because its near closing time. Never again

Don’t order from here as I have been ordering from here for a couple of months they have been fab but today I have ordered and food haven’t came in 2 hours so I phoned them to see where it was they said they have delivered it to us and they won’t give us a refund and won’t awnser where they ordered it to so do not order from here

it’s my youngest sons birthday and he requested to order from rocket joes. we ordered 2 pizzas (buy one , get one free), we wanted one pizza completely different to the other and so we called up to change the pizza toppings and we were given disgusting attitude & foul language was used. you should never buy from this place. NEVER. and after reading the other reviews, i’m certain you should never order from here. my sons birthday is ruined and he is very upset. this is gut wrenching. i’m so very heartbroken to see my son this way.

For a ‘medium’ pizza it was pretty damn small. The toppings were correct but for £11.99 you would expect something slightly larger compared to other pizza places in Cardiff (especially the Rocket Joe’s in Riverside - they give you a good pizza!) Ordering a pizza from this store felt like a bit of a ripoff! Sorry for having to say this, but I won’t be ordering from here again any time soon.

DO NOT ORDER FROM ROCKET JOES CITY ROAD!! Bought 2 pizzas to celebrate my brothers birthday and after each of us have already started to eat, my bampy found these 2 BURNT bits of glass baked in the pizza! After calling the establishment to make a complaint, we were greeted by an extremely rude employee who accused us of lying as there is ‘no way there’s glass in it’ and after asking his name he hung up the phone. Will be going to trading standards with this one😡😡

Horrendous, this place was served the worst pizza I’ve ever had. It was overpriced with £16 per large pizza. The pizza itself was like plastic and the dough tasted like it came out of an old factory. Do not go here.

Ordered from this takeout and never received food. Called to query how long the food would be only to be told it had been delivered. When we assured them we hadn't received it they were rude and told us they are not sending us food and would not give us a refund. It was only after we requested to speak to the manager that any sort of compensation for lack of service was offered but even then the staff attitude was awful.

Never order here! We've ordered a family deal and got one tiny slice of cake to feed five of us. The pizza was cold, so were the fries and garlic bread. We called and replacement pizza was offered along with fries and garlic bread. When replacements arrived, it was dripping with grease and cold once again. Upon phoning the store, we were told that we shouldn't order again and that we were the rude ones for calling to complain. Don't bother spending any money here ever! Just get a Domino's instead!

I am fuming I ordered from here- I have been warned not to ever order from here and made a mistake from here and the good rocket joes on City Road. Never again! The chips were dripping grease and double fried, the pizza was just flour and water when flavourless toppings. Don’t try to complain as you won’t be taken seriously!!!

ABSOLUTELY DON'T GO THERE Ordered quite early on a Saturday night, however.. The salad on the burger tasted as though it had been put through a reject kebab first with mint sauce all over it.. The salad consisted of tomatoes heads and cucumber, We ordered sides of coleslaw, Garlic Bread and Mushrooms which added nothing to our meal.. The mushrooms were full of water, the Garlic bread was flavourlessand burnt and the coleslaw tasted of sugar which was particularly worrying as there is no mention of sugar in the menu and my friend is diabetic. The customer service is a complete joke, with our original order being taken several times as the chap that answered the phone could not understand what we were saying.. Our entire order ended in the bin and our money wasted as we ordered somewhere else. We tried to explain that that we were unhappy only to be literally laughed at the other side. I didn't recieve the receipt I'd asked for either and when comparing with the most recent menu prices from within the shop I also seem to have been over charged. ABSOLUTE NO GO

I had a chicken burger meal tonight it was absolutely disgusting!!! the chips tasted like they had been there all day..I asked for lettuce and onions plenty of I received soggy yellow lettuce which was in a heap and not 1 onion in sight..all I ate reluctantly was the chicken inside the soggy bun and the chicken wasn’t even tasty or fillet it was actually like rubber..we had 2 beef burger meals and the salad on them was disgraceful too!! Most of the food went in the bin so not happy with the food at all...

Ordered pizza. Pizza man arrived at the door gave out pizza gave him the £20 and says "give me 1 minutes I'll be back" and then runs away. It looked like you will running away with the money but he was just getting 3 pound change because he wasn't smart enough to have the £3 in his pocket when he was knocking at our door. After that they gave us the wrong pizza and cold gone off toppings. This ruined our family dinner and made my little brother very upset The pizza smelled like cocaine. For your own safety please do not buy from rocket Joes.

Always order from here but tonight pizzas both came cold one with a hair in it and salad lacking on burger. When I called to let them know I was told I was lying and that the pizza was hot when it was delivered and that I was making up a hair was in it. I order from here sometimes up to 3 times a week but my last few orders there’s been hardly any cheese on garlic bread and for the second time my burger has come with a single strand of onion and lettuce on burger. When trying to let the restaurant know I was spoken to rudely and hung up on when they didn’t want to hear what I was saying. I just wanted to let them know of my recent orders and for me to be spoken to the way I was unacceptable.

I usually go into the store to order and collect, and apart from the staff seeming to be completely lacking in customer service skills, the food is ALWAYS to a good standard (obviously got as I'm waiting there ten mins for them to make it!) Can't go wrong if you just want a large amount of cheese and tomato pizza. Would not recommend getting toppings, had some unfortunate experiences in the past. Big ol' cheesy pizza is what you wanna order. Quick delivery, usually pretty hot on arrival, tuck in boyos.

Just had the family special delivered. Ordered a side of loaded potato skins and this is what arrived! Hollowed scooped out potatoes with no filling at all! Therefore UNloaded! Paid 2.99 for two potatoes cut in half! Upon ringing them (because surely this was a mistake?) they indeed confirmed their skins are not loaded. What the actual ****? In fact he started arguing the toss on it.... NEVER using these again.

I love RJs pizzas, they arrived much earlier than quoted .very hot tasty and as spicy as I like them! Was recommended yrs ago and never used anywhere else !service top notch and polite driver .Yummy treat !

Ordered a meal for 2-3 people deal. Large pizza, chicken, fries and 2 cans of coke. The pizza tasted fine (had the tandoori chicken pizza) did lack in flavour. The chicken on the other hand; don’t bother! Tasted tough and ridiculously dry whilst still being very greasy. I think the chicken must’ve been under the heat lamp for hours on end. So heads up if you’re getting anything other than the pizza because it’s not worth it. Was delivered in a reasonable amount of time.

Extremely poor service, late delivery & food was damaged when it arrived. Ruined a kids party!! Manager not interested and refused a refund. I posted pictures on google for all to see how bad the pizza was when it eventually arrived. Such a shame as I had used this company for years but the new owners just dont care.

Chips undercooked and pizza was overcooked and lacked any flavour, could turn the pizza over and knock on it and sounds like knocking on a wooden door lol. Dissapointed considering how much I spent. Delivery was quicker than expected but wouldn't order again sorry

I just moved into an area that Rocket Joe's deliver too so I was well happy order was awesome will be back in the future.

Placed an order, which they cancelled because they were too busy. I phoned to make sure my refund would be processed to find out today they have taken my money, when i phoned they just put the phone down on me. I went to the shop to get my refund to be told no as the boss is in london. They didnt believe me when i said the money had been taken even though i showed them my online account, very rude and aggresive and now im still waiting for my refund

I think the order has been wrong a few times but they don’t sort it out so always check before taking food as they’ll get no replacement, no money back and no extra on the next order also don’t think they read the notes on here either

disgusting service. ordered food 2 hours ago. came and was the wrong order. rang them up said we will give you next time. i wanted what i paid for so 'the manager' said he will send and will take 45 mins. 20 mins later food cold so i rang and said not to bother just give me money back for the mistake. manager refused! driver came and we mentioned the matter. he chucked our food on the floor and drove off.

Always great pizza, always good value. But was cold because the driver called to tell me was at the door. After 5 mins of standing in the cold outside my building I had to call the driver who was still sat in his car in the car park wait for me to COLLECT my DELIVERY. Work that one out. Must do better. Delivery means delivery. That's to my door, not the end of the road or somewhere outside.

Delivery driver was very nice, unlike some I've ad he actually brought my pizza directly to my door, considering he had to walk up to the third floor!!!!

First time I've used Rocket Joes. Could have been warmer, the pizza dough seemed slightly soft underneath, but all round a quick delivery, great value and excellent quantity of topping. Never using Domino's again.

Seems to be a recurring theme here.....order completely wrong, called them to notify them and they denied the order was incorrect and began blaming me. Also, filthy pizza and not worth the late delivery. I'd recommend going anyway but here.
