A proper good old fashioned Pub, fantastic atmosphere, all the Staff and the Landlady were friendly and helpful. Will definitely be going again when we are back next year.

Nice quiet local pub, independently owned, great beers, excellent staff and service. No pumping music or TVs so ypu can actually have a conversation! Highly recommended.

The atmosphere of this fine pub was captivating from the first moment. I was lucky to have a nice meal consisting of Rigatoni Bolognese and Garlic Bread as a side. Very tasty and made with love from "mama". Thanks for extending your hospitality to a guy from Allemagna.

Lovely old pub that was a surprise for us to find and be as nice as it is. Friendly helpful staff in a traditional local old pub. Food served 1200-1400 week days looks and sounds lovely having an English and Italian menu. Food is cooked on sight with the menu changing each week. Nice selection of drinks and the ice cold beer glasses of each beer is a nice touch. Have been several times after finding it and would recommend for a quiet place to catch up with friends. This is a real traditional pub.

Came here unplanned for a quick drink and loved it. Very cosy vibes and staff really friendly. Especially the landlord who kept us entertained with drinking games and made us feel really welcome. Love that it’s also dog friendly. Will be returning for food after hearing about the Italian food they do

Love it here. My sister-in-law lives close by, and we visit here whenever we come to see them. The landlord goes above and beyond to make you welcome. Great pub grub served, but only during the day and plenty of it. Proper oldy worldy pub as pubs should be.

Harveys best and bexley beer were fantastic couldn't fault it. The two of us, were sat at a table for four at around 7.30pm. We weren't even a third of the way through our first pints before we were asked to move to a smaller table by the landlord as there was a larger group arriving. We abliged and moved thinking the pub was about to fill up with thirsty punters. A group of three sat at our now vacanted table while we looked around an almost empy pub spoilt for choice as to where to sit. The stampede never happened and the pub remained almost empty while we were there. Very strange and cliquey atmosphere.

A great little pub, serving at least 6 real ales all the time. Definitely an older mans pub. No kiddy winks in here!! It is the only pub in Bexleyheath that I head to without any qualms. I even walk there so that I can sample more of the lovely beers. Don't expect gastro food, don't expect juke box music, don't expect fruit machines. It is a proper pub. However, it is becoming a bit dated and the beers seldom change. For a bit of variety, try The Door Hinge in Welling. After a revisit I can honestly say that the beers are still good and it's nice to see there is a choice of guest ales.

A quiet little pub with a massive selection of real ales, lagers on tap, premium spirits including Gin and wonderful people. The only improvement that could be made would be to have a genuine imported German lager on tap, Paulaner would be ideal. Correction, they now have Hofmeister Helles on tap! Yes!

Fantastic locals pub. Great food and real ale

Popped in for lunch this week, very busy but not loud. Got served straight away by very welcoming staff, good selection of ales and lagers available. Ordered the Ham, Egg and Chips, glad I was hungry as I've seen less ham at a wedding buffet than was on my plate, literally the best I've ever had, crispy home made chips and perfect egg. We will definitely return and recommend to friends and family.

Found by accident after getting lost looking for another pub. This is an absolute gem. It had some really, really good ales on. The landlord had taken over from his parents and had been in the pub since 1980. A great pub and ridiculously friendly landlord. Would definitely recommend.

I only get to this brilliant pub when my team play at nearby Welling United and this was my first time in five years. I couldn’t have been given a friendlier welcome by the lovely staff and I was delighted that the beer and food on offer was as excellent as always. I wish there was a gem like this near where I live!

Excellent, proper pub. Guvnor's brilliant, can't wait for restrictions to be lifted; a definite regular drop-in and chill-out place. Didn't have time to try the food, but good reports from the regulars.

Food is always freshly cooked and plentiful. Has two specials each day one of which is always pasta based. Only down side is that it shuts at 3pm so no food orders after 2pm or in evenings or Sundays.

The Landlord "Ray" and his family are true old publicans, that won the Robin Hood & Little John Pub of the Year and others awards. Maybe not for a little while. The ethos is still there today. A place to drink and eat (A small menu) with ease.

A great, local and traditional pub that I have been to a number of times over the years and took my elderly Mother to when she was alive, who enjoyed it too!! Still the same owners that have been there for many years and decent clientele. The food is always nice and today the owner was happy to offer me a replacement vegetable of my choice instead of the assigned one with my main course!! Disappointed with the "Special" I chose today of pork, as it was only OK. The little square potatoes in herbs with it were tasty and so too the mushrooms as my replacement veg!! This pub is cozy and comfortable. Wednesday lunchtime seems to be a good time to go as it's not overly busy.

Had an excellent ploughmans lunch on Saturday and a good pint staff very attentive Very nice comfortable atmosphere.

An atmospheric classic local, with lots of ales on tap and a friendly barman; a good start. But it goes quickly downhill after that. Busy on mothering Sunday, I get table away from the pleasant hubbub by the loos. I order a nice pint of Adnams, then see the menu. Very. Traditional. Gammon and eggs. Scampi and chips. Kievs! I enquire about the specials and receive one menu, which doesn't include crab I'm recommended. The barman finds me that menu - I now have three. The crab doesn't look a wise choice so go for the steak. Another barperson takes over, where my steak preferences are noted. I'm told it comes with a glass of red. Oh. Can I swap it for my pint. No. Ok. I just want the steak meal. You can't. It comes with the wine. Oh. I'm sure I could order without, I saw on the menu. Oh that menu! You don't want all the...no. Just the steak please. I offer my preferenced 'pototo option'. Oh sorry that's a typo. It just comes with chips. Right. Ok. Anyway. Food came. And quickly. Not bad - at least what I was expecting. So, sort your menus - know your menus. Sort your 'typos'. Give new customers a break. Glad of the Adnams.

Love this pub! Great beers, good food & warm atmosphere. What more could you want? Parking a nightmare! So maybe parking spaces. Worth the hassle finding a space though once you are there.

Always a good selection of ales but tends to be expensive. That does keep the chavs out though. Some have commented that the landlord is miserable. He is, but the pub is well worth a visit.

I was visiting the pub with friends today, they are regulars at the pub. My friends had bought his elederly Nan with them, and so had moved an umbrella in the garden to shade her from the sun. The landlord stormed out quite aggressively and verbally agressive to my friend for moving the umbrella. Sensing the hostility we left the pub. Upon leaving, the landlord revoked our welcome and again verbally agressive towards us. I would not recommend visiting this pub.
