Food.is absolutely 💯 % stunning taste so fresh and good breakfast fish&chips and kebab on the tray is to die for salad so fresh no greasy so delicious and the whole building inside is so well cleaned the staff is incredible friendly and funny and the boss is Legend such a kind man I never eat anywhere with family this is our forever takeaway highly recommended to eat

Disappointing piece of fish! Has been good in the past, with the portions of fish being quite large, but the last couple of times it hasn’t been great!

Soooooo happy to find a place that serves cod roes! Now I do not have to go all the way to the sea to have them😁 the batter is thin and crispy as well. The place is nice and tidy, and they a lot of seats. Will be coming here often on the weekends from the other end of the city!

The cafe is simply furnished. The food is great and the fish is excellent.

A regular meeting place for a chat over breakfast. The food is freshly cooked and is served piping hot on hot plates. Excellent prompt service. Free car park over the road.

The food was great, we both had fish and chips and thoroughly enjoyed it. The building layout is strange though, we weren't aware the cafe/resturant and fish and chip shop were the same as there are two separate counters. We wanted to eat in but were told we would have needed to order in the restaurant. Staff seemed a little off and not very welcoming, however like I said, the food was good.

Not fast food,but very good quality

This is a popular fish & chip shop which serves all the usual foods you would expect. It's clean and tidy with a great choice. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. There is plenty of space to sit and eat in if you wish as well as a take away service. Lucky to have a well run chippy that serves the community. They have an extensive menu board which is detailed and helpful. This does include an OAP menu and specials. There is some parking on the street and a free car park opposite as well as a paying car park at the rear. It also has a wheel chair access as well. There is a small bar which sells coffee tea, soft drinks as well as the alcohol. Great quality fish and chips,

Love Robbie's Plaice , we go there every time we come down and love the food. Even if you go for something a little less traditional like pie and chips it is still to an excellent standard. Staff are kind and welcoming and the overall atmosphere is good. Recommended 👍

Excellent food and service.Good value for money.

It's not very great... slightly disorganised I could see my cheeseburger was just sat on the top of the counter for 5 or 6 minutes whilst they dealt with other orders. The cheeseburger was slightly disappointing the burger patty was flavourless thin and basic. The chips were also bland. In fairness the fish looked excellent and I perhaps should have plumped for that. I note that there were many other happy customers and it was a very busy restaurant so please do give them a try.

Unfortunately it does vary as in dry chips but not when the owners are serving otherwise very good 👌

Best fish and chips in area both sit in and takeaway

Came here on the way home after a festival, had a banging cooked breakfast that was really good value for money. The fish and chips looked incredible as well, will return soon.

Must say a bit disappointed with the fish and chips we just had, fish not too bad but had better,chips looked and tasted like reheats.

The service is great, the ambiance is top and the food is amazing.

Take away cod and and chips on a Friday evening. Delicious. Cod was fresh, crispy batter and lovely chips. Fast service. Portions are big, so I was defeated and couldn’t finish. Will definitely visit again though.

Ordered fish and chips this evening and was looking forward to it. However, both the fish and chips tasted like they had been cooked earlier that day and reheated. Nornally the food is good so Very disappointed! Update Saturday 3 August. I have just spoken to Robbie the owner who apologised for his chef( who made the food).He was not there and that is the not standard of the food he would give to customers. I will go back again .Thank you for your explanation Robbie.

On 10th July 24, I had lunch with two friends at Robbie's Plaice. We all agreed the food was excellent. I ordered Grilled Haddock , it was exceptional, cooked to perfection with a herb and garlic topping. It was the best fish I have ever tasted . I recommend it highly.

Good portions. Roe was a little soft in the middle but otherwise good.

There is batter and then there is Robbie's batter! The quality of fish is off the scale good with such a light and crispy batter. A must.

Fish was amazing, crispy batter on both sides. Beware the chips, they give you loads of them and they are lovely as well! Great take out.

Had eggs royale on Saturday. Told the guy ( Robbie?) it was too cheap and restaurant quality. So good I dragged chef back to try it today because I wanted to see what he thought - and it was excellent again - we agreed that dish would be £s more in another setting!! Well done Robbie and team.

I have been to Robbie’s a few times. Best breakfast 🍳 and the meal includes a tea or coffee of your choice. Really clean and super friendly! Definitely my favorite breakfast cafe in this area.

Great eat out or takeaway, love this place

Some of the best fish and chips I have ever had. Cod was sparklingly fresh, batter crisp and a large piece perfectly cooked. Lovely chunky chips, tasty mushy peas and Sarson’s vinegar - of course. Premises were clean and airy. Nice selection of wine, beers and cider plus yummy cannelloni among other desserts. Pleasant service. Really top notch spot.

Used to call in often for takeaway or for eat in. Unfortunately the last three times the quality has dropped. Can no longer recommend.

Wonderful breakfast, very nicely cooked with all special requirements adhered to. Locally sourced products all served by a friendly and helpful team plus the price isn't extortionate..... what more can you ask for. Certainly recommend it, and most definitely, we will be there again even when driving over from Bristol.

Ordered chicken nuggets tonight but my husband couldn't eat them as they tasted of fish, do you use the same oil?

The staff are always welcoming, friendly and polite. The food is excellent, fresh and presently way above your average fish and chip shop.

An unassuming treasure. I requested a grilled,gluten free seafood platter. It requires 1 day notice. Breathtaking prawns, tender delicious calamari with 2 types of Salmon and roasted bi colour tomatoes. Traditional garlic bread and a magnificent homemade mushroom sauce. Finished with gluten free cannoli. Taking my wife back for our anniversary.

I am a fat 6'2" man with a large appetite. We ordered battered sausage and regular chips with a kids meal. The portions were a really good size. The battered sausages were really good too, but smaller than I have been accustomed too. The kids meal was also really good size and well cooked. It did not come with a toy as stated on the menu but a lollipop instead. All in all the door was very good, some of the best chips I have tried. The wait to get them was quite long though. Don't do what I did and find out that the "restaurant"/Caffe at the front isn't actually part of the chippy and they don't like it if you sit in there

A very nice fish and chips outlet staff are friendly food is well priced it's clean bright and airy if you want to eat in--dogs on a lead are allowed in--and children not on a lead are allowed in--- it's in a picturesque area of bath by the river avon --theres a pub next to it -parking may be a bit tight but there is a disabled bay and the establishment is disabled friendly so if passing give them a try their food is quality chips fish pie etc 👍

Robbie’s Plaice is very local to me so is my ‘go to’ for fish & chips. Food is great with good quality, staff are very friendly. Over recent the prices have hiked up quite a lot which is a real shame. £4 for 300ml of Diet Coke & the food as gone up by atleast 20-30%. It’s a real shame

Been here twice this week first visit was good and the food was nice. Last night the chip were a mix of overcooked hard chip with the occasional palatable chip in between. Not enjoyed sadly

If instead of bringing the food, you eat there, the price multiplies almost by two. The grilled fish they gave me was in the sea, but that was a long time ago

Good value for money for the restaurant. On the other hand, do not park in the parking lot at the back (which is not that of the restaurant). These are crooks who send a parking fine even though we have paid at the automatic terminal

Good and simple food. It's a bit irritating that the burgers say lettuce, but they only mean the lettuce leaf on the burger.

Simple place, where you can eat in or take away. The guys are very kind and the Fish & Chips they served us were delicious and light. Outside the center of Bath but reachable in a few minutes.

Amazing food tonight @ Robbie's, they catered for a large group of us and the food was out quickly and tasted so good. Staff were super friendly and helpful too! Only wish I lived closer to use more regularly!

excellent chippy, dare I say one of the best I've ever been to. we ordered the cod and it was perfectly battered and fried, not to mention flaky. the chips were great and fresh. after a day trip to bath, we had our evening meal here. very accessible location with great food and service!

Excellent fish and chip restaurant with friendly staff and lovely food. Tartare sauce is particularly tasty. Lots of different fish and seafood options without being too expensive being so far away from the coast. Thanks for a lovely visit and hope to visit again soon.

This is our local fish and chip shop - great food, reasonable prices. The highlight for us is the gluten free Monday and Tuesday too - hard to find in this area!

Always a nice treat when I'm having a cheat meal especially love the curry sauce and chips. Battered sausages are banging Cod is lovely And the jacket potatoes are 100% cracker for lunch. Always quick friendly service No complaints from me! 👍👍

On our trip to Batheaston we parked in the Riverside car park....Then we had a good look around the gardens, the riverside walk and the National Trust Bathampton Meadows....On our walk we worked up a bit of an appetite,with Robbie's plaice being just over the road from the carpark so it's ideally situated for some refreshment.......You can dine inside, plus they do takeaways if you prefer,there is quite a good menu to choose from apart from the fish and chips......The service is good and the food very tasty......A great place to have some food....👍

Great as always we have never been disappointed here. Quick service, friendly helpful staff. Easy to park nearby in the carpark opposite 22/5. Battered haddock fish and plaice fish both tasted good. Chips were unsalted and soft to bite. The restaurant was filled with fumes from the kitchen's cooking.

One of the best fish and chips I've ever had, was only passing by but if I'm ever in the area again I will definitely be going in :)
