Roasted Bean in Croydon

Mi compañero se rindió en el lugar hace un año. Nos gusta un buen café relajante, y el lugar es cierto que siempre tiene un ambiente estresante y picante sobre qué mesa eliges y con qué propósito. La gota que colmó el vaso para mi compañero fue cuando una mesa de tres que venía después de nosotros fue servida delante de nosotros porque eran una mesa más grande, con la anfitriona sentada levantando las manos hacia nosotros de una manera suplicante, como si eso excusara el asunto. A pesar del personal, siempre he abogado por el lugar, ya que me gusta su café y batidos, y soy empático con el hecho de que el lugar es pequeño. Pero incluso yo estaba harto después de que me volvieran a instar hoy a encontrar otra mesa después de haberme sentado, y luego haber sido llevado a la parte de atrás, para dejar espacio a un grupo que vino después de mí. Si bien priorizan sin disculpas el tamaño del grupo, es una decepción para los clientes repetidores como nosotros que los apoyan diariamente en las horas impares (por la tarde después de la prisa del almuerzo, por ejemplo). Esto explicaría por qué los amigos han dicho que el lugar se siente frío y que está al máximo de su capacidad todo el tiempo. Hay un montón de lugares en el triángulo donde podemos simplemente sentarnos y ser servidos cómodamente sin el juego de Tetris, y con el respeto mutuo de una mesa de primer llegado. Etude, por ejemplo, parece desprender la vibra de que el tamaño del lugar no es culpa del cliente, y absolutamente nadie levantaría una ceja al esperar la próxima mesa libre, lo que es natural. Supongo que la razón es que les apetece más un lugar de menú sentado que una cafetería, en cuyo caso tal vez un cambio de marca desalentaría a clientes como nosotros, la pareja que va a la cafetería que charlará sobre un café durante una hora, cuyo negocio no quieren, ya que parecen favorecer a los almuerzos de entrada y salida. Alternativamente, ¿por qué no tener un 100% de asientos de anfitriona - asientos concedidos y servicio de mesa? Hasta entonces, ya que los granos tostados son tan molestados por la clientela sentado a su discreción, en realidad deben considerar una ventana para llevar en lugar de una cafetería. Serían capaces de servir a muchos más jefes y no tendrían que gastar tanta energía estresándose por la disposición de los asientos.

He estado tres veces, cada vez es lo mismo. Nadie viene a servir, ningún menú ofrecido, y nadie viene a tomar mi pedido. He tenido que subir al mostrador cada vez. Son un buen personal, la comida no es mala, pero necesitan vigilar mejor a los clientes.

Regularly visit this place, best cafe in Crystal Palace. The staff are really efficient and welcoming with great sense of humour and brilliant service!

I go here a few times a week for breakfast , lunch of late afternoon meal ( depending on when I've had time to eat). This is one of the best value cafes in the Triangle. Friendly and cosy

I visited with my 1 year old and 3 year old in November. Despite it being quite empty we were told to go to the very back. It was very untidy with boxes etc piled up. It was only once we had ordered that I asked if they had highchairs, they didn’t not! Not a single one. I had to sit holding my baby on my lap, which is not easy with jot coffee. My toddler kneeled up on the chair. The staff weren’t very friendly either and it made me feel very unwelcome. I would never visit again. If a coffee shop doesn’t own a single high chair, I would say that is a clear sign that they do not want customers with children!

Gran café y tostadas recién hechas. Muy buenos pasteles! ¡Vamos regularmente los fines de semana por las mañanas, en la tienda de post / supermercado para leer un periódico y relajarnos en un ambiente muy relajante y hogareño!

My go-to place for coffee in Crystal Palace - and I've tried them all. Pleasant staff, decent food, good service, not too expensive but the coffee is the main thing and that's always good. Only downsides I'd say are that the rear of the cafe doesn't quite know what it wants to be - a jumble of aesthetics and furniture. And the yard is neither here nor there. Nothing to stop me going back though.

Lovely clean cafe and friendly service. I had a Cortado coffee and a Portuguese custard tart. The coffee was nice and strong also full of flavour but would have preferred being a bit hotter, the custard tart was very tasty.

We even had a second round as the coffee was so good ! And it is a hard thing to find not overpowering coffee, not a touch of metallic taste in these cups!!

Located in the heart of Crystal Palace this independent coffee house is great. The specialist coffee is delicious. And you have the opportunity to pick your own roasted beans to take home. Breakfast croissants, pastries, buns all on offer. And recently a very yummy vegan chocolate and raspberry cake. It's a rustic, warm feel. Dog friendly. Great service. Don't miss out if you are in Crystal Palace.

Really enjoyed my latte , the cakes looked very tasty and i was told the custard tart was delecious. The selection of cakes on offer was mouth watering. The staff seemee friendly and clearly knew many of the locals. Exactly the kind of coffee shop that should be supported by the local community over another faceless coffee chain all to common on the high street nowdays.

With friendly staff and quick service, this place does have the best coffee in palace. Juices and food are great although I have never sat in. But I thoroughly recommend.

I love having a quick breakfast at Roasted Bean. The ambience is warm and friendly, and they have the best coffee in Crystal Palace. The pastries are fresh and they are happy to warm up your croissants and serve them with jam. A great local independent cafe

Sadly I have just had a really bad experience at the Roasted Bean. I opted for a scone with jam, which took quite a while to be brought over. When it finally did arrive it was rock solid, more like a burnt biscuit, and stuck to the napkin it was served on. Not wanting to make a fuss, I just took it up to the counter and told the waitress that it wasn’t very nice but not to worry about a replacement. She took the plate from me without saying a word and then just continued chatting to her colleague. I was stunned at how rude that was. I went to sit down again and eventually she came over and said she must have left it in the microwave too long! I’ve previously had great experiences here but, after today, I certainly won’t be returning.
