We all had chicken korma and massala we couldn’t tell the difference in taste. Extremely bland. Could even taste the plain rice over the curry sauces. Had better microwaved curries. Disappointing after paying a high price.

Just upping to five stars for the continued excellent service and consistency. Great curry house. Very efficient, and busy venue that serves up a good range of house specials and traditional currys.

Such a lovely place! Food is delicious - I encourage you to try new things as they surprise you! But mainly the gentlemen working here are just super kind and friendly. Peak time 7-8 on weekend for lively atmosphere but even when quiet we always feel very welcome. Enjoy!

Used to go here 5 years ago quite regularly and food I had on this visit nowhere near as good as then. Onion Bhajis were good,large and crispy Chicken Pathia quite bland,not much sauce.Quite a lot of chicken,big lumps bland in taste.Pilau rice cooked without salt.bland.garlic naans x 2 over done,garlic slightly burnt and bitter. Not fluffy or soft,quite crispy. Also had a chicken Madras. It had so much heat as to render it almost inedible..bitter sharp taste that I think was vinegar. Place charges top dollar but distinctly average.Wont be going back...

I had a delicious Nepalese Lamb Curry. The lamb was 'melt in the mouth' tender and my companions and I all enjoyed our meals.

Lovely little pub. Excellent food and friendly staff.

The food was good but not great. The confirmed (by email) booking turned out not to be!! They squeezed us in and service and food were more than acceptable (and plentiful) but not worthy of travelling far to experience the eatery.

Had to order 3 Sunday lunches, as my daughter is ill we decided to take lunch to her rather than eat in, very good portions beautiful gravy, and great thick cut beef and pork, veg was also well prepared and not sloshy like so many others, all packed separately so little to no waste, that said we did have enough over for bubble and squeak on Monday. Interesting Nepalese dishes (loved the momo), not too heavy, very tasty. Staff very friendly and keen to please. Perhaps a little too keen to ply alcohol

My partner and I had two totally different meals neither of them had any flavour, infact they were both the same sauce which is not was described on the menu. We won't be returning which is a shame as we like dining out in authentic restaurants

Hands down the best place for a curry. If you ignore this review or ignore this restaurant, you have missed out my friend. Amazing selection of curry, most of which they can tailor to your heat needs all the way from very mild to very, very hot. The Onion Bhaji is simply the best, as is their choice of Nepalese cuisine. Absolutely one of the best taste sensations out there.

First time visited today for family member's birthday. Food was outstanding. Everything tasted fresh and it was a great balance of flavour and spice without being heavy like curry dishes in other places can be sometimes. Staff was very attentive and friendly and service was 5☆. 100% recomended!

Always pop in here every year on the way back from a works event and they never disappoint! The staff always makes me feel welcome and the food is incredible!! Amazing atmosphere too, definitely recommend this place!!!

Good location, just off the M50, tasty food and popular among the locals. relatively smallish premises, service may need improvement, but friendly and obliging staff.

Lovely food and well looked after. Be nice if surrounding in the bar where we had our lunch needs to be lightened. Fantastic ice cream from local farm.

Went in for Sunday lunch. We were the only people there and while the meats (we had pork) was fine the reset of the meal, two types of potatoes, a selection of veg and yorkshire pud, was dry and tasteless.

Been getting fabulous takeaways from here for about 10 years. Amazing, delicious food and lovely staff. Have only eaten here once, and that was many years ago so can't comment, but can say the takeaway is consistently great. On time, consistent quality, strongly recommend as one of the best places locally.

Curry arrives, ten minutes later the rice turned up! Cold curry and rice……not good. Nan bread appeared with the rice but one missing which we got charged for. £21 per person. Won’t be going there again.

As fans of Nepalese cuisine, we were happy to find The Roadmaker recommended at our local accommodation! And it did not disappoint at all. Amazing food, the lamb was just melt in your mouth - probably the best lamb curry we've ever had. It was quite busy this evening so glad we'd booked earlier in the day. Definitely a place to visit - and the MOMO was superb! :) Usually only have 4 so 6 was a treat but meant after the poppadoms aswell, it was a happy struggle to finish our mains. Will definitely visit again when in the area!

Probably shouldn't bother calling itself a pub, the focus seemed to be on restaurant customers. The bar was empty on arrival and probably took 5-10 minutes for someone to appear to serve us. Granted we went late on a Sunday afternoon, it was a glorious sunny day so were disappointed we couldn't stay a little longer, but they do close promptly at 3 on a Sunday.

Sunday carvery was very below expectations. Service was very slow too. Maybe we caught a bad day as others seemed to have had better times. Shame.

Excellent food, excellent service.

Maybe we got them on a bad day but they’re not remotely dog friendly (they let you sit in the garden!) and quite frankly the staff were very rude, showing no interest in wanting to serve a few beers before eating - answering the phone is apparently more important than serving a customer - and finally recommended the pub down the road instead! Really disappointed as the menu looks fantastic.

Rather disappointing. Met a friend for lunch We'd 23rd Jun. I asked for a capuchin, no sugar. It was very sweet, no coffee machine a sweetened packet mix. He said would you like plain coffee, I said yes. Black coffee and no milk. Abysmal. I asked for a cheese and onion sandwich and could it be toasted? Yes, he said would you like it well toasted or lightly toasted, the bread was toasted and then the cheese and onion was added. Served only with a few crisps. Not good. The waiter spoke good English. At 10 minutes to 3 he brought all bills out and said everyone had to go now. Won't be going back.....

Great food and friendly service but we had a party of twenty booked and were recommended to go for £25 a head and they would put out a selection of food. Not anywhere near enough food and far less than if I had ordered from the menu. Feel like we were taken advantage of. A shame as I have been here many times in the past.

Had a garden and we asked if they were dog friendly and they said yes but only in the garden, fine, but it was a very hot day and we asked for a bowl of water for the dog. We were told that they don't have bowls to put water in for dogs, surely they could have found an old bowl in the kitchen for a thirsty dog, we didn't bother going back for a meal!

Lovely.,friendly people, great food. Madri lager was nice too. What's not to like? Poppadoms were fresh, warm and crunchy I had aloo starter, spicy but not too hot with nice fresh salad. Nepalese lamb for main . Meat was tender, no fat. My wife had Himalayan chicken. Tasty. With a.kulfi for dessert. Top notch

I've never enjoyed westernised cuisine because it doesn't ever taste like the dishes made from those countries so I was dubious about going. Having not had Nepalese food, so couldn't judge how close it is in taste of authenticity, but it was super yummy and the hospitality was lovely. Food came out quick and the place was packed on the Sunday evening we visited. We managed to book less than an hour prior for a table and good job we did.
