Popped in to the Plough Inn and had a cider and pudding. The homemade puddings were huge but delicious 🥰 we had the Lotus Biscoff Cheesecake and the Banoffee Pie. Service was great and its a lovely pub

Absolutely brilliant. Superb Sunday lunch. Plenty of room, great food choice, super service. Can't fault it.

I visited this pub for the first time yesterday. The car park was full and the pub looked busy, which was encouraging. That's as good as it gets. The welcome was non existent from the miserable barman. The decor was tired. The menu and food looked OK, but the atmosphere let's this place down massively.

Possibly the most miserable barman I've ever encountered.. Nice beer but the guy was dreadful... Food looked nice but the baan/waiter made no attempt to interact with diners.

Great starter in black pudding fritters and mushrooms. Mains were home made beef curry and fish pie. Curry could have been more spicy but netherless was very tasty . Bread and butter pud was brilliant. If we are this way again will definitely come back.

A random pick of local pubs and an absolute winner. The food is first class, best food we've had in a pub. Excellent beer as well.

Proper traditional Sunday roast carvery. Polite and attentive staff and lovely Wye Valley ales from the on-site brewery; only niggle was the rather crowded and hot dining area but we still had a great time with home cooked food.

Overpriced, ordered the pie which I had to ask for chips and veg otherwise it would have come on it's own... For £17! Partner ordered the veggie stir fry as she's vegetarian and it came out with chicken in it so she changed to fish and chips... That then came out with no chips... Service was rushed or slow no in between, even the receipt was confusing!

Sunday carvery was excellent-all meats very well cooked and help-yourself vegetables. Very cosy with fire and decorations.

This is a gem of a place for a meal. Food is amazing no matter what you try. Been back twice now in one week and hoping to go again. Home made burgers, wonderful steak pie with beautiful pastry and chips to die for. How this is not fully booked every night I don’t know. Dog friendly as well so we will be back again

No atmosphere really,sticky tables in lounge,nice steak but plates and serving dishes only just warm.😒

Food was 200% The waiting staff were 200% The locals were a bit starey, possibly not used to seeing non herefordians. Will definitely go again though. Prices were not massively expensive, but were fully justified anyway.

This is a great place with a good offering of beers and very good food. A must visit.

What a lovely little Pub! It's something we don't come across too often any more.... Proper home cooked food and plenty of it. Ten of us had a lovely meal there last night and the food was delicious, we had three dogs with us who were also welcomed in. We had a couple of odd meal requests which they were happy to oblige us with. Overall a very pleasant evening and we would happily return to sample more of their lovely menu.

Amazing Sunday lunch with the best vegetarian option, vegetable wellington and a cider sauce, delicious. Great service and a friendly atmosphere.

The carvery on a Sunday is unbeatable.

Stopped in on a whim and did not regret it. All the food was freshly prepared from scratch and you could tell! For example, and this may sound like a minor thing but, the chips were made from potatoes by the chef, rather than frozen bagged chips you get in so many pubs, and they were so lovely! Even the kids menu chicken nuggets were home made from scratch. The staff were great: sizing up a starter to make a main of it, and putting left overs in a takeaway box for us. Cannot fault the place. We will be back!

We were on holiday in a barn conversion about two miles from the Plough, and were recommended it for a good meal out. We were not disappointed. Both the food and service were good.

A must visit if you like great food, great service and cosy surroundings. I loved our visit and will certainly be back.

Booked for 24 of us to have a meal here last night. I offered to preorder but said it would just be a reduced menu instead. We ended up with some extra people and the lady was very good and helpful and squeezed them in. We had 2 vegetarians with us, and there wasn’t much choice on the reduced menu for them so I asked the lady if they could have the main menu, which her an the chef agreed, so that was great. However, the male who I presume was the owner / manager, swiftly snatched the full menu out of a 20 year old girls hand and snapped at her that she couldn’t have that. Obviously he hasn’t been aware of the agreement we had only just made, however that is not the right attitude to have or way to treat a customer. The food came and was really nice! We weren’t loud, just chatting amounts ourselves but there was 28 of us so quite loud I suppose but at one point, he walked through and muttered a phrase of swearing! Totally out of order and unprofessional. It was really disappointing as the food was great, venues was nice, ladies who served us were fab but the male really let everything down and that’s why my review isn’t 5 stars, which it absolutely would have been as the ladies service was great, food amazing and they were very accommodating with the extra people and vegetarians. It appeared that the size of our group stressed him out, but if that was the case he shouldn’t have took the booking.

Been to this lovely little country pub a few times and I am yet to be disappointed.There are plenty of choices on the menu and the staff are very accommodating if say you want to have a starter as a main or slightly adjust thingd. The food has been always been well presented, hot and plenty of it and reasonably priced. The plough platter is definitely something to recommend with its Cajun chicken strips, breaded brie wedges and the ploughs amazing pulled pork Mac & cheese 🤤 hand cut chips are also some of the best I have ever had it's a great pub with proper homely food. Good selection of puds including the chocolate fudge sundae which I can personally say I have had a few now.

Just had a 3 course Sunday lunch don't know where to start we all had different starters and all amazing and the size was unbelievable they were larger than some pubs main course. We all had a carvery a choice of 3 meats or in my case some of each and all were fantastic the beef was so tender you didn't need a knife to cut it a fantastic selection of vegetables and the desserts wide choice and delicious. Brilliant going again as soon as possible

Visited 1st time since lived in Hereford tonight. The food was outstanding and the hosting was very friendly and comfortable seating with a lovely log fire burning. Will definitely be returning for more

Wonderful setting, staff helpful and friendly and the food is amazing.

Great home cooked pub food in a traditional pub setting with table service. Portion size was good for all three courses. Starters were yummy - try the nachos or if you're hungry The Plough Platter as a starter. The mac and cheese is also popular. Fish pie came with loads of fresh veg, and the halloumi burger was tasty. A range a homemade deserts, cheesecake, strawberry blizzard, Crème Brûlée... all were great. There are dining areas in the bar and restaurant, plus it looked like another bar with a pool table/games room. The car park is quite small, as for most traditional pubs but was OK for us as we got there early. We would definitely visit again.

Good pub. Good food. Good people. Very reasonable prices and a real fire in the hearth. Situated adjacent the Wye Valley brewery, can't fault the ale.

Great food at great prices. Friendly staff and nice and clean every where. Lots of choices of food and drink. We opted for a sharing chill nacho to start. Followed by chicken stuffed with feta with a white wine sauce and lots of lovely vegetables. Hubby pork loin stuffed with black pudding and lots of lovely vegetables. I know we shouldn't have but we had a dessert as well! I had icecream with toffee syrup and crunchy bits. While hubby had warm chocolate fudge with ice cream. I must admit I did struggle. But it was all so delicious.

Great pub. Had carvery and everything was fresh. Best beef I've had for a carvery. Reasonable prices to and service is great. All covid safe. A lot bigger inside than it looks outside to. Well worth a visit!

Very good. Lovely staff. Chips are homemade. My daughter has food allergies and they were kind enough to steam her fish. Large portions. Great place all round.

One star for great beer. I was part of a party of 12, visiting at lunchtime two days ago. This could have been a publicans dream. But, we were shown into a featureless room, and served with, at best tolerance, at worst disinterest. All we wanted was to have a nice lunchtime drink, but the barman closed half an hour early. This was a cash crop thrown away. I would expect better from a pub that is clearly the brewery tap, as it is next door to the brewery. I will drink the beer again, but not waste time visiting the pub again.

The beer is good. But today, the welcome was awful. In fact, we were made to feel very unwelcome. Clearly trained in the school of Basil Fawlty, but without the redeeming features of humour.
