Very popular so always busy but great atmosphere and service.

Lovely food, we dropped in when it was busy and got a table straight away, with Quick service.

I never feel the need to write reviews but I had to for this. The service was terrible, the staff were extremely hostile and cold and we felt as thought they treated us quite distastefully, in comparison to the other tables. I work in hospitality myself and have for years, therefore I was quite observant of how the staff behaved towards other tables, and I wish we could have received the same treatment as it tainted our dining experience. We felt as thought we were neglected, even having to chase the staff to pay our bill, as they kept disappearing when I tried to grab their attention. Other customers in the restaurant had the same hostile attitude so maybe avoid eating here if you aren’t a local

Twice now I've had a bad meal. Had risotto no taste. No checkback & when paid bill never asked if everything was OK! We were the 1st people in new updated patio area-which is lovely. Same as used to be my favourite restaurant. Won't hurry back

A mid week treat with anti pasti starters and stunning pasta dishes. The waitresses were friendly and helpful. We were told it was quiet but they seemed to be managing a large number of customers seamlessly. Highly recommend.

This is a lovely place to eat. They actually care about all of the important details. Staff are alert and attentive, food is delicious.

Steak not cooked well. Really good pizza. Rude comment from a waitress when asking about a drink price. Overall nice. Scallops were very good.

Had outstanding meal and Wine last night at the Olive Tree. Overall it was Amazing.

We had a very last minute visit into The Olive Tree which was very busy even at 6.45 in the evening. We were welcomed and sat at a table within a minute and excellent service followed. We were a little short on time so went for pizza. They were both excellent and would readily order them again. Nice thin crust, enough cheese without being too much, I went with ham and pineapple and my partner chose anchovies with olives, both excellent! Service was very attentive and the atmosphere was nice and relaxed. Not our first time but it has always been excellent.

It was really very good and great to see a full restaurant again. Warm, friendly and a pleasure all round.

We haven't been to the Olive Tree for a few years and were very pleased to find that it is as good as we remembered. Excellent food and very friendly service.

Me and my friends went to visit in the evening and were appaled . The setting is rustic and nicely set out but the food and mood of the restaurant was appalling. I tried the risotto and the taste was bland and boring . Equally my friends who tried some selection of pasta were shocked by the honestly underwhelming taste . In addition the staff seemed under duress and pressure and we could hear shouting and arguing in the background presumably from management. For the price point of a high end restaurant the quality was miserably disappointing aswell as the staff seemingly miserable . In conclusion I WOULD NOT RECCOMEND to anyone. The food quality is terrible for the price I could honestly do better myself with 2 pounds of ingredients and 10 mins of my time. Would completely avoid

Good mains and starters for a reasonable price. It also is quite a nice environment. Knocked one star off as deserts were a let down and service needs improvement.

Food was good, without being exceptional and you could say much the same about the service. Overall, good value and, though you're very unlikely to be disappointed if you eat here, you're unlikely to be totally blown away by it eithee.

I was at the Olive Tree this evening for my birthday and I had a wonderful time. The service wa a lovely, staff were friendly, welcoming and attentive. I/ we had exceptionally good food it was beautifully cooked and absolutely delicious. The restaurant was atmospheric and had a relaxed feel to it. I always enjoy coming to to Olive Tree and I’ll definitely be back again sometime. Thank you so much for a fantastic evening and I look forward to returning to the restaurant another time. Excellent food and service. I would drive back the 2.5 hours just to have their Napoli style garlic bread. I appreciate that the chef made a fresh sauce for us as we did not want wine in our food - thank you!

Had a lovely meal here while we were on holiday. It was busier than I thought it would be for a week day night, so I'd recommend booking.

What a lovely place. Not local to the area, we booked for 7 of us after finding on google. Loved the quirky building and the quiet buzzing atmosphere. Food was gorgeous, Pizzas, steak, pastas & risotto, all delicious, and very generous portions. Would highly recommend and we would visit again if we return to Ledbury.

Food very average very little taste. Pizzas not great and bases tasted like they were the shop bought ones from a supermarket, risotto really poor, dry and tasteless. Starters and desserts were ok, seemed to be a long wait for staff to take orders for drinks etc seemed more interested in cleaning tables than serving customers, won’t be rushing back as a lot better Italian restaurants to go to

I went here for dinner with my girlfriend and really enjoyed the beautiful setting of the restaurant. Service was generally swift and attentive and the food was quick to arrive, very tasty and well seasoned. The desert was also lovely. We will definitely be back. Great selection of vegetarian dishes, great portion sizes and a generous menu. Thank you for a lovely dinner!

Superb food. Massive portions which is great if you have a big appetite, not so good if you don't as it feels wasteful. That said we thoroughly enjoyed our food in the courtyard which was beautiful.

I travelled here from 30 miles away for my wife's birthday. The restaurant is well organised and very clean and tidy. A good menu but perhaps too much choice. My wife had fish with a great sauce she described as delicious. I had loin of pork which was very disappointing clearly carved from already cooked meat and then seared and served with a bland sauce. Quite tough and lacking in Italian flavours. For the price, freshly cooked loin was expected. The roasted vegetables we ordered were clearly resurrected from the day before. Root vegetables of mostly parsnip and potatoes. Our meal was just short of £100 . The starter of Palma ham and melon was lovely as was the coffee. My wife was very happy with her fish but bitterly disappointed with tired vegetables. For me slices of previously cooked dry and tough pork swimming in a tasteless sauce was a huge disappointment. This restaurant has great reviews so i guess my experience was one off but my experience spoiled a big day..

This restaurant has one of the best menus I've seen in a long time . It was so good that our group ate here twice over a weekend visit to Ledbury. The food was fresh, so tasty and the staff were great . It's definitely worth the visit.

An absolutely lovely Italian restaurant with a good selection of dishes all cooked to perfection. Friendly front of house team. Excellent selection of drinks and a good range of pudding options.

Arrived for a late lunch , 10.mins before kitchen closed and both enjoyed a lovely meal

The Olive Tree has always been a favourite of mine and I have taken my family there for the past 25 years. The food is always reliably good and they offer many of my favourite dishes. The atmosphere is good and the place is brimming with history. But, the reception when I brought my wife there recently was not good and we were just ushered in and told to site “there”. Maybe it was just because they were busy so I wasn’t too concerned, but my wife was not impressed. However, the service after that was top notch and we were looked after during the meal. It was just the initial reception that made us feel a bit of an inconvenience. Or even a bit unwelcome.

Lovely food but I’d say a little bit over priced and too busy noisy in the restaurant. Lack of warmth and charm and the fries were very expensive (nearly £5) and not home made. I eat Italian a lot in central London and this was of a similar price and quality. I’d say slightly more expensive than a restaurant I visit in Paddington

Excellent service. 5 of 6 meals excellent. 1 with rib eye steak was poor but steak can be taking a chance, offered replacement meal with no hesitation. We will return.

Food is always amazing at The Olive Tree. The atmosphere is good, staff friendly and always helpful. Would highly recommend, whether it be a date night or a family get together.

A lovely Italian restaurant in a quaint building. The service was good with friendly staff. The food was delicious and there was plenty of it. The prices were reasonable and there was plenty of choice. Would definitely visit again if I was in the area.

Had one of the most amazing meals here. The staff were lovely and even though it was extremely busy, they always had time for us. The good itself was delicious and the portion of starter was insane! Well worth the money. Definitely recommend this restaurant!

A lovely restaurant with a wide ranging menu. You can have pizzas or pasta or meat dishes, all cooked to order. Whole place was full and buzzing when we went at 6.30. Really enjoyed my time there.

We are regulars at the Olive Tree we always find great food and we’re not disappointed. The service was excellent and although the restaurant was busy they were attentive. Overall a great restaurant for a casual dinner.

My wife and I are on holiday in the area and this restaurant was recommended to us by a local. My wife booked for dinner. The pizza I ordered was the best I'd eaten in a long while and the service was spot on. Many thanks.

All in all we had higher expectations of the Olive Tree than 'we' experienced on this one day of visit. Very nicely decorated. Staff were efficient, the food was distinctly average and the atmosphere was business like and lacked a personal touch. We visited on an early Friday evening in September and it was already quite busy but there did appear to be quite a few staff available. This was a snap shot one visit so I'm not saying our experience would be repeated but we weren't won over.

Was treated to a meal unfortunately the person paying ordered steak. Very tough was changed but that was tough too. I know it's an Italian but don't serve it if you can't promise good quality. Otherwise the food was good.

Went over to Ledbury with my friend shes has an interview over there and wanted to know where to go. So we looked for somewhere to eat. And what a find absolutely amazing meal. So friendly with excellent service its a must if your in Ledbury and you love Italian food. ❤❤❤

Cutest spot in a picturesque town. The staff is super friendly and attentive. The food was great quality as well as the house wine. And they have gluten free substitutions! Pricing was so good too.

Called in on off-chance. Very busy Wednesday evening but they found a table for us. Lovely atmosphere, very friendly staff and service, and superb food. Will definitely go again, but I will be sure to book so as not to be disappointed. We were very lucky on this occasion to be found a table. I noticed that they also do takeaway. I highly recommend The Olive Tree.

There was an extensive menu, plenty of choice for starters, mains and desserts. Everything that me and my family ordered was delicious and full of flavour, the portions were big and the staff were very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable of the menu.

Took my wife to this restaurant as a treat after I had been and bought something I hadn’t intended at Pughs just round the corner. Excellent food excellent service excellent location. Will definitely be going back. Let’s hope they can survive in the current climate this is one to support. You definitely get what you pay for here.

We visited this establishment on Friday for a family celebration, a table of six. The Food at The Olive Tree is amazing. What lèt down our dining experience was the slow service. We waited ages for our mains, which wasn't the fault of the waiters, but more likely the kitchen. We then had to wait for our dessert order to be taken. We did have to ask for more drinks, cutlery to be replenished, and condiments. At the end of the evening, we still had the original glasses on the table from our first round. With a lot of restaurants / cafes now, it seems recruiting waiters is the problem, or at least keeping them is, since covid. This may be a one-off event, (fingers crossed) and I can ensure you we will be back, as we've eaten here many times in the past, because of the quality of the food and service. Please don't let our one-off experience put you off, go book, and enjoy amazing food.

Fair play to them 😊 Ordered a takeaway from here last night... when we got home we noticed a meal was missing, (I understand this is an easy mistake to do)... So I phoned them and they were very apologetic. I said I'd come back and get it... when I went in to pick it up they couldn't be more sorry and they gave us another cheesy garlic bread and an olive salad to go with it. Great customer service from them :) Food was amazing as usual!!! plenty of it too :)

One of my favourite restaurants. Excellent service. Great menu with lots to choose from. Really good choices for vegetarians. Would recommend the white chocolate profiteroles for desserts.
