Riverside Coffee in Glasgow City

Nice café near the riverside. The croissant was not fresh, unfortunately, though.

Very lackluster coffee. Did not know the definition of a flat white.

Popped in for brunch before heading to a show at the hydro. Unfortunately it was the day of the Great Scottish Run too so everything was a bit chaotic. The breakfast was standard cafe fare which could have been elevated with better quality ingredients.

Had a deluxe hot chocolate, and it's a nice corner to sit and people watch. Would come back again. Definitely good wee place for a quick snack and coffee.

We ordered two coffees. And two shortbread. Both were nice. Decent food nice place.

The chicken pie was really good and served with a side salad. My friend had a milkshake which was also great, and we agreed that the prices were pretty decent. Nice place to stop by if you’re walking along the river!

Very happy to have stumbled upon this place. The most amazing chai latte I have ever had! The meat pie was delicious, scrambled eggs and omelette with ham and cheese for my toddler and husband also received rave reviews! Highly highly recommend!

Went a walk around the river and saw the little cafe. Was one of the best coffee’s I’ve had in Glasgow. Lovely atmosphere and was a decent price.

Unfortunately not recommended. We ordered the River Breakfast vegetarian, which the waitress didn't understand at first. When breakfast arrived, the pancakes were unfortunately burnt, the crossaint was a cheap croissant with a chocolate filling, the scone was dry and there was no butter. The only good things were the coffee and yoghurt. Ambience was average.

We visited riverside coffee because of the recommendations. Sadly it was pretty disappointing. We ordered the river breakfast. The tea was included, what was the only good thing about this tea. It tasted awfully. Also the pancakes were burned. The chocolate croissant seemed like a cheap storebought one. Same was the scone, dry and not served with any kind of butter. The café itself was okay. Tables were dirty.

Really generous breakfast portions and great coffee. I tried some spinach pie which was also delicious. Thank you for the surprise slice of pie! I'm guessing it was an olive one. I really enjoyed it.

Great freshly prepared bacon and egg rolls. Orange juice was made while we waited. Very good coffee. Attractively decorated. Much better breakfast than our hotel!

Excellent place, truly the best breakfast I've had anywhere, and the service was superb, great place to people watch beside the river too, good selection of Greek pies and pastries which I have taken away for a munch up the road, all the high reviews are well deserved, been staying in Glasgow for the past few days, wish I had found this on day one.

Great breakfast after a run through the green. The ‘Riverside Breakfast’ was a European style platter breakfast with an excellent variety and quantity of food. The pastries were delicious and the coffee was good.

The spinach feta cheese pie is so delicious - a must try. It comes with fresh side salad. The black coffee here is good. Highly recommend!

The worst "breakfast" in my 20 year world travels. waited 40 minutes with 6 customers in total to start. My friend had his meal and was finished while i waited 20 minutes for mine which is a big no no, a table should always have theirs together. My side of chips came and went cold in the 10 minutes my meal arrived. Was promised brown toast but got white then got told they haven't got any when my meal finally did arrive. - I wish i was joking when i say i literally had a spoonful of beans in the smallest pot that looked like a big thimble. - Chorizo sausage completely burned - Overcooked black pudding - Eggs completely frazzled and solid inside as you can see in this picture - Potato scones were stale and inedible - Square sausage burned like a british tourist in ibiza The only item/s that was passable was the thick bacon and tomatoes but i should add the plate was swimming in grease and had to use my tissues to soak some up. the only condiments you get are salt and pepper and zero sauces. At one stage there was an eastern european who looked like he came out of a stock clearance primark store with a puffy black coat, poorly dressed chap who worked there and cleared a table and smashed everything on the floor then laughed about it and someone's dog inside the cafe jumped out of his skin. Coffee was very nice on the other hand. If you dont mind animals being around your food, a clown waiter who sits down with his mates at the table, burned food then come here because hands down its the very worst and ive travelled the world nearly every week for 20 years doing this. Some advice, train your staff and watch them because its slowly killing your cafe. Good luck

Fabulous Greek pies and excellent coffee

This is a great cafe, been coming here for a few years.

Terrific little coffee shop!! We got the ham and cheese toastie and lattes and they were so delicious we came back the next day for the same. The brown bread on the toastie was so 🤤. Would absolutely recommend!! Staff were kinda quiet but nice enough.

The feta cheese pie is just okay but they really made me amazing flat white. Good atmosphere and friendly staffs, also a good location nearby the river.

If you are within walking distance of Glasgow Central and have breakfast or lunch at some boring chain (you know what I mean) and not at Riverside Coffee (formerly Pie-Pie) then you are a fool. Delicious spinach pie, great coffee, very friendly.

We were walking along the River Clyde and decided to stop in for a coffee. Ended up also having a homemade spinach pie with feta. It was very good. Sam had the ham and cheese pie. We would highly recommend. Coffee was on point as well.

Spinach pie a bit bland. Cheese pie undercooked. Coffee was alright but nothing special that you cannot get elsewhere. Give it a try but do not expect a unique experience.

This place is a hidden gem! Wonderful Greek pies with the most delicious crunchy crispy pastry made fresh every day by the lovely staff. They do really good coffee here too. I need to return here to try the rest of their coffee menu, I watched an iced coffee being made and it looked amazing!

Pie Pie is one of the best Cafes in Glasgow. Everything is great about this place. Just went in for a coffee one day and I've been in love with this place since then. Highly recommend it. Staff are lovely as well.

Amazing place, I don't know where to begin! The pies are delicious and the real thing. They even make the filo themselves there! The coffee is also fantastic! The service is excellent - quick, friendly and polite, and the place itself is cosy and aesthetically pleasing. I'm almost addicted to Pie-Pie. You *HAVE* to try the chicken pie (savoury) and the milky pie (sweet). You just have to.

If you are close to Central Station and want to have something tasty and different you cannot miss this place! The pies are spectacular. If you wonder where you can have a good coffee or hot chocolate, you got the best place.

A small place, but impressive. Homey vibes and Staff are lovely. Coffee tasted really good and the barista knows her job well. I’ve had a macchiato that I’ll go back for soon again. I’ve also had a feta cheese pastry, homemade and amazing.

A wee hidden gem beautiful pies

Authentic Greek coffee shop with all the associated drinks and food you'd expect (pites, bugatsa etc), feels just like you are in Greece. Everything, from coffee to tyropita and bugatsa was excellent. They even made as proper cacao. Melomakarona and kourabiedes also available. We tried the melomakarona and they are really good. Definitely going back.
