This was our first order from here, we had two large fish and one portion of chips. Everything was delicious and hot especially the fish which were enormous and extremely tasty. The order was delivered on time and we will definitely order from here again.

Terrible food, service is horrific staff rude, portion of chips ridiculously small as they only offer one size, won't be going again.

Me farther in law call up tonight for chicken burger and chips and two small fish and fishcake and chips and gravy for 4 of us and all was lovely best I've had for a long time definitely be coming again. Me nan love the fish she eat it all were normal from were we use to go she leave half of it. The woman in there was lovely and nothing was to much for her. Thanks so much and look forward to seeing you again soon

Best chippy around at the moment! We even travel 10 miles just for their fish and chips. Very reasonably priced too.

Visited this chippy today with my lad. The man behind the counter shouted at my lad for touching the bin instead of speaking to me about it. Don't expect a chip shop owner to shout Oi! at a 7yr old lad and make him cry.

Food is amazing but the young person serving was rather rude nothing like the normal staff. Would give all 5 stars if she was polite. Service with a smile never hurt anyone

I went in the werk before x masand had a lovely large haddock fish with chips and peas, the fish was really big and thete was plenty of chips and peas to i paid £11.50 very reasonably priced just wish that they stayed open a while longer so my daugther could pick some up when she finishes work at 20.00, she only work just round the corner as well we'd go more often then. Lol

Cant just order a mixed meat and chips. If you want a selection of the kebab meats, They force you into buying a ridiculously priced set meal! Poor service

The chips here are authentic as they get as they do not use drywite [edilble bleach] on the chipped potatoes. Thank you and keep up the wonderful quality chips. !

The fish here has always been consistently good but the boss/head fryers attitude leaves something to be desired. Why is it such a hassle to ask for the small fish and chip special to be served without the polystyrene tray. I can't be the only person to not want to pollute the world with uneccessary plastics. Besides it saves the business a few pence per meal. You would have thought the boss would be happy about that.

Bloomin' marvellous. Been sat in Royal Stoke hospital for 7 hours, absolutely starving. This was our first stop on the way home. Still the same friendly team as years ago. Chips and curry/ chips and gravy = just what the doctor ordered (pardon the pun!)

Chips are very poor quality. Was looking like burned left overs from cleaning oils. I have asked the man behind the counter to change. But he said in nothing wrong withe chips and I'm not changing. He said if you don't like go and get Mcdonald chips He was very rude and shouting on me and acusing me being rude just coz I asked him polite to change them dry and burned left over chips. I'm paying money, so I obviously wanna receive food in quality that's is actually possible to eat. Not the ones that he try to sell me 🤢🤮 They obviously don't care about quality food.

Very nice taste. Consistent every time you order fish. Gravy is fantastic. Chips get soggy if delivered home. On main road. Ample parking only takeaway. Halal items available. Nice staff.

7th of October and order two small fish and chips. Friendly staff. £10 for it . Fish taste was disgusting and smell bad. Really disgusting. Second portion was OK. Please stay well clear

Needs to improve costumer service, especially the man whatever his position in the shop he's not very helpful at all. Doesn't matter if he's the owner or not.

If you want a child's size kebab or greasy pre cooked chips this is the place for you.Lovely well mannered girls working there but the boss has a real attitude problem. Ordered a cone of chips to eat whilst waiting for my kebab. Told me I can't eat my chips in the shop. ITS A BLOODY CHIP SHOP FFS !! Been going there quite regular but that's my last. I'll spend my hard earned elsewhere thank you.

A good chippy, but on a few occasions the breaded fish has been a little over cooked.

Chips are lush. If things are supposed to be getting back to normal after lock down why does the chippy still shut at eight o clock, i need chips at least half eight. i am sure they are losing business because they shut early but still the best chips around!!!

Great and reliable and actually open for decent hours. Just a shame when they don't have chicken occasionally. Friendly staff, Chips are good, fish are superb and they take cards or contactless payment. Edit May 2022. Still great! Still the best in Newcastle/Stoke👍🏼

Been absolutely scammed. Spent £10 on what I thought was fish and chips and a can of Coke. The only thing to arrive was the fish. Ordered through uber eats and the picture showed the fish came with chips and, judging by the price, I thought it obviously would. Also why on earth ask if I want salt and vinegar on it if in the end all I get is a fish? £10 absolutely down the drain and I’m left having to cook myself a new dinner. Should just change your name to riverside fish because your chips clearly don’t exist.

I had the donermeat and the moment it came in the car it was a bit fishy but i was so hungry i ate it. It was disgusting and the juices went on the chips which made them disgusting as well. I have woken up this morning to have food poisoning i will not be having doner meat from here again

Excellent quality fish an chips. Used this chippy years ago but stopped due to food going down bank. Just by chance thought would give it a try as we started going to milehouse. They are closed for refurbishment. What a surprise, really Really lovely fish an chips. Good portion size. Absolutely worth a visit, you won't be disappointed. 🙂🙂🙂

Was really looking forward to this place but I was hugely disappointed. Ordered Fish and Chips and Cheesy Chips. Food arrived and it was cold and the portions were tiny and very over priced. £4 for cheesy chips, this was a handful of chips with the tiniest amount of cheese. My 3 year old finished these within minutes and wanted more. Will not be visiting again, absolute rip off.

Usually nice food but it can vary in quality, quantity and service depending on the staff. The senior staff and management are good, some of the employees have little idea.

Fish very small chips loads of hard ones didn't eat them all although hungry put them in the bin 4.50 down the drain will not be visiting again

Lovely fish and chips. We also had small doner meat and chips which was a generous portion. Also really tasty. Shame about the polystyrene trays as these can't be recycled.

The place is nice, but the main chef picks up the fries from the floor and adds them to the food with a friendly laugh, hmm, but the food is tasty.

Loveliest fish in Stoke specially the one with bread crumbs. Amazing gravy sauce. Fries need to be more crispy.

When it comes to Kebabs this lot have nailed it, honestly the best Kebabs around. Maybee it's the Pepper. maybee it's the Bread. maybee it's the Super Fresh Salad, but what a refeshing change from whats on offer locally, oh yes and really friendly staff, get yourself down there and enjoy. You will enjoy a great meal.

On par with milehouse fishbar ,fast service , clean and the portions are generous .

Good food, decent prices and social distancing was adhered inside and outside the shop! All the rules are followed and staff remind customers if the rules are not being followed. Highly recommend!
