Just ordered a takeaway from the kismet Burslem as we normally have had a few takeaways from here ordered lamb chops chips peas and without a doubt this is the worst takeaway l have ever had the chips were nothing but scraps that looked and tasted like they had been reheated time and time again the chops were like boot leather awful sorry kismit we won't be ordering again

Absolutely fabulous food! Delivered early It was piping hot Lovely delivery driver We had Onion bhajiis, sag paneer, shami kebab, bombay potatoes, tarka dhal, chicken madras, 2x garlic rotis Everything was so good Only thing to note is that the madras is very very hot, more like a vindaloo/ phaal. Delicious though, and fine with milk/ Omeprazole !

The madras I ordered is my go to in any curry house was more like a fahl and after 2 mouthfuls had to bin it....everything else was spot on

Curry and chips were lovely, naan breads were absolutely tiny and not worth the money. Plus next to no cheese. Disappointed.

Hot and Delicious with prompt delivery

Ordered a takeaway. Was delivered quickly which was good. Our Scampi starter was dreadful, mushy grey fish with lumps of fat in it in some kind of spicy breadcrumbs, completely different to the really nice scampi they had last time we ordered. Portion of chips was really greasy. Poppadoms were also soggy. Curry wasn't very warm either, unlike previous orders. When we rang to complain the person answering the phone was quite rude. However the driver who delivered the food was very pleasant and friendly! Shame as previous orders from here have been nice, and they couldn't have been more helpful last time we had an issue with our order.

£11.30 for a king prawn balti and the prawns were overcooked to the point they were inedible. won't be ordering again.

Possibly the worst I've had and I've had a good few, tandoori masala was poor at best, special fried rice was ! Well not special,all in all really disappointed ☹️

Missing items, incorrect delivery time 3 times, not good!

Had a takeaway from here. The quality was poor. Had Sheek kebab stater. Which consisted of two very small thin pieces, and mixed meat Biryani. There was little meat in there and what was just small pieces. And the puri that accompanies it was just like water. It only had a few peas in and two pieces of potatoe. Only used this place as our regular takeaway was closed due to it been a Tuesday. Expected this place to be far superior to our regular takeaway. Specially been a restaurant. We won't be using this place again

Quick service and very friendly staff. Lots of choice for food with the classics and some different options too. The chutneys were lovely and the poppadoms were clearly fresh and hot! The curry's were lovely, and had lots of flavour and meat. Not too busy, as visited on a Wednesday night. My chair was a bit wobbly when I sat down so tried not to move too much!

Used the kismet for many years, back when you had to order & collect, sadly this time around it was awful, an insane amount of grease on curry left rice soaked through & grease pooling on my plate (I am aware and do expect to see some oil atop but the amount was not acceptable).

Always a 5* for the Kismet, best curry house in Stoke if not out of all of them I’ve ever been to in the UK. Always a first choice, the only downside is sometimes it’s super busy for takeaways but what can you expect when it’s so great!

Had a delivery food was piping hot and wow hadnt had a meal from here for a while but it was amazing and the onion baji the best ive ever tasted and the curry spot on

Just ordered takeaway, usually great, so disappointed, asked for well done naan, came soggy, had to put it in the oven, asked for crispy chips, came dripping in grease and soggy, had to throw away and make our own! They don't listen to what you request.The The rest of the meal was nice. We will think twice before ordering again! Always great food and service

First two times ordering were lovely and full of flavour but the third time was flavourless, bland and not very nice at all. Overpriced for 3 pieces of chicken in the curry and no spices.

We love the food from here, usually collection, the taste is amazing and they are always wonderful when dealing with my nut allergy. We have also eaten inside the restaurant which was a great experience.

Dont get the scampi starter . The biryani was good though . However the driver was all over the place trying to find the place . But other than the starter and the driver getting lost a bit . The main was pretty good.

Me and my husband always love going to the Kismit in burslem the staff are always very friendly and pleasant and helpful the service is always fantastic the food is always freshly cooked and tastes delicious it’s our favourite restaurant to go and have something to eat we went last Sunday on the 28th of May and we went again Saturday night the 3rd of June it’s even my mother and father in law’s favourite restaurant as well

The best part of this takeaway was the poppadoms. The shami kebab was very dry and the chicken biriyani was definitely not cooked fresh. It had a very strong lemon taste and the egg was black around the yolk has if it had been standing. The chips went straight in the bin, they were greasy and very pale. Its a shame has it used to serve beautiful meals. The dearest poppadoms I have ever bought has the rest of the meal went in the bin with the chips.

I used to eat here twice a week in the 80's so for nostalgia decided to order a takeaway has I cannot get out now. What happened? The best part of it was the popadoms. The shami starter was dry, the chips just pale and greasy. I never ate them. The chicken biryani was just overpowered with lemon juice. The end of a wonderful era I guess.

Food was cold, chicken dry and overcooked the naan bread was indelible, driver rang twice couldn’t find address, apologised because his English was not good. All in all a complete waste of money and will definitely not be ordering from there again
