Had a takeaway from here. The quality was poor. Had Sheek kebab stater. Which consisted of two very small thin pieces, and mixed meat Biryani. There was little meat in there and what was just small pieces. And the puri that accompanies it was just like water. It only had a few peas in and two pieces of potatoe. Only used this place as our regular takeaway was closed due to it been a Tuesday. Expected this place to be far superior to our regular takeaway. Specially been a restaurant. We won't be using this place again

A bit of late review, but we had the pleasure of dining at the Kismat Restaurant in Burslem, Stoke-on-Trent, and I must say, it was a delightful culinary experience from start to finish. We left it to the owner to decide for us who ordered a mix of their specialities dishes, and we were not disappointed at all. The attention to detail and the use of fresh, quality ingredients truly shone through in every dish. The highlight of the meal for me was undoubtedly the "Lamb Green Masala", a perfectly cooked meats, accompanied by a green pastes, all seasoned to perfection. The flavours danced on my palate, creating a harmonious symphony of tastes that left me craving for more. Although we shared all the other dishes and equally all of these dishes were top notch 👌. What sets the Kismat Restaurant apart is their commitment to authenticity. The dishes reflect the rich heritage of the cuisine, no wonder why they claimed to be the pioneer in this field, and the chefs' dedication to maintaining traditional cooking techniques is evident in every bite. The flavours transported me to India, and I appreciated the effort taken to deliver an authentic experience. Service at the Kismat Restaurant was impeccable. Quick service and very friendly staff. Lots of choice for food with the classics and some different options too. The chutneys were lovely and the poppadoms were clearly fresh and hot! The curry's were lovely, and had lots of flavour and meat. Not too busy, as visited on a Wednesday night. My chair was a bit wobbly when I sat down so tried not to move too much!

Always a 5* for the Kismet, best curry house in Stoke if not out of all of them I’ve ever been to in the UK. Always a first choice, the only downside is sometimes it’s super busy for takeaways but what can you expect when it’s so great!

Just ordered takeaway, usually great, so disappointed, asked for well done naan, came soggy, had to put it in the oven, asked for crispy chips, came dripping in grease and soggy, had to throw away and make our own! They don't listen to what you request.The The rest of the meal was nice. We will think twice before ordering again! Always great food and service

First two times ordering were lovely and full of flavour but the third time was flavourless, bland and not very nice at all. Overpriced for 3 pieces of chicken in the curry and no spices.

We love the food from here, usually collection, the taste is amazing and they are always wonderful when dealing with my nut allergy. We have also eaten inside the restaurant which was a great experience.

Me and my husband always love going to the Kismit in burslem the staff are always very friendly and pleasant and helpful the service is always fantastic the food is always freshly cooked and tastes delicious it’s our favourite restaurant to go and have something to eat we went last Sunday on the 28th of May and we went again Saturday night the 3rd of June it’s even my mother and father in law’s favourite restaurant as well

I used to eat here twice a week in the 80's so for nostalgia decided to order a takeaway has I cannot get out now. What happened? The best part of it was the popadoms. The shami starter was dry, the chips just pale and greasy. I never ate them. The chicken biryani was just overpowered with lemon juice. The end of a wonderful era I guess.

Superb curry, great chips, brilliant atmosphere. Well worth the trip over to the dark side of the A500.

Very rude and so impolite. They left me and my missus sitting for over 30 minutes even when we made them aware we were there. They totally ignored our request to order & even attended to their drivers. Unfortunately for them they missed out on £30. I definitely will not use them again. Maybe we were treated like this because we’re in a mixed relationship

Collection order. Chicken Tikka vindaloo, rice and naans. First timer, fabulous! Very spicy, super flavour, excellent quality meat. All round happiness. I will definitely return and couldn’t recommend enough!

Booked this restaurant for a weeks meal and couldn't have been happier. Food was absolutely delicious, service was spot on ànd the atmosphere was great. Will definitely be going again.

Recent visit with 12 work colleagues and food and service is excellent. Food was lovely and everyone enjoyed it and staff made sure no one was waiting for anything. This restaurant has been going for over 60 years and you can see why. Need to visit more.

The food was lovely but there weren't many options for vegans. The quorn masala I had was really nice, but it'd be nice to see a few more options! I probably wouldn't go again until there was more availability, but I can't fault the food or the service, we were made very welcome.

Visited Kismet last night and really impressed with service from staff, quality of food and comfort of restaurant. We were staying in Festival Park so Kismet was fairly close. There's an excellent pub within a couple of mins walk called the Bulls Head so combination of this and then the Kismet made for a really enjoyable evening.

Ordered food at 6.50pm at 8.10pm we called to see how much longer it would be, we where told 10 mins after 3 more calls (when we eventually got through) and rude staff the food actually arrived at 9.10pm. which in the meantime we went to the chippy, as at this time we were hungry and weren't confident the delivery drive was going to turn up at all. We returned the food to the restaurant. Never again.😡

My partner and I always use the Kismet on special occasions, we find the staff so friendly and helpful, the food is absolutely fantastic and the overall experience is wonderful, I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone even those new to Indian food five out of five ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Staple found in my meal! I usually have no problems, albeit it may take a while to arrive, food is delicious generous portions and nice and hot. But this time I found a staple in my balti, I bit into it an thought it was a bone, but I could feel with my tongue that it wasn't, then when I took it out the see what it was I saw that it was a staple! I'm just glad I didn't swallow it! It's a shame because up until this moment it was my favourite place to get a curry from and I am shocked!

Never again ,I told the waiter I didn't want any tomato in my curry he wrote it down but my curry had tomatoes in it I've been ill through it.

The food is as good as always and the staff are second to none.

If you want to spend a Saturday evening wondering what you've just attempted to eat, then go no further than buying a sugar fulled curry sauce, with cubes of bland, cheap chicken plonked in it. This terrible curry caters for the locals and certainly isn't authentic. Be sensible and try Dishoom instead. Awful!! Bad, doughy naan bread and grease level you can swim in. So angry at the general lack of effort.

My family have been using this place since the day it opened. Not me I’m to young. But my parents went to the opening which must be 30 years plus. You don’t stay open that long if your food is rubbish.

Ordered tonight for an 8pm deliver , called restaurant at 8:25pm to be told it’s on it way , 9pm tried to call the restaurant but constantly engaged , probably taken phone off the hook!!! 9:25pm ended up setting off to the restaurant to see what’s actually going on? To be told delivery man is on our street trying to find address, I said surely the food will be stone cold, they insisted it will be fine and offered me a bottle of cheap wine to try to compensate me. Returned home to be greeted by stone cold food. Shocking !!!!! Zero stars!!!! Told the guy at the restaurant at least keep the phone on instead of ignoring customers !!!

Takeaway for a change but never again from here. Small portions for your money compared with other Indian takeaway we've had. Food took over an hour to arrive and barely warm. More sauce (watered down) than chicken.

We normally enjoy a Kismet takeaway but I don't know what went wrong with tonight's meal. Cold thin tarka Dahl, overcooked tough tandoori mixed grill and tandoori king prawns in a puddle of cold oil. Really disappointed that our weekend treat was too awful to eat.

We went for the first time with my daughter, we were greeted incredibly well and she had such a nice and wonderful service. The staff was extremely kind anyway. I can't find a word for their food, something beyond super was fresh and delicious. I will definitely go again with my family, thank you everyone..

The food was disgusting! Meat was tough and chewy in the mix starter, balti was greasy, naan bread tasted soggy and it was well over priced! Won’t be ordering again from here

Worst curry ever bland taste less and greesey There idea of a cheese and mushroom nan is to put granted cheese and mushrooms on top and not bake it in the nan perfetic

Been going to the kismet for over 30 years and it's always been one of my favourite places to eat, I have the same thing everytime I go and it's why I love it because I know exactly what I'm going to get everytime unlike other places where it can be hit or miss on the night. Love the kismet!!

Worst food ever had a balti got dish water no taste what so ever, never seen yellow mint chutney no taste chips are nasty kids didnt even eat them 1st and last time ordering complete waste of money better of with toast got more taste then there bland food
