Done an order through an uber discount, curry was OK, chips were a disgrace shrivelled up and so dry , my wife ordered the sheek kebab wrap , came with one tiny piece of sheet and a little bit salad, wrap slightly burnt , what the hell 😳

take away today was awful, no taste to malayan chicken, sauce was like semolina, huge chunks of what tasted like pre frozen dry chicken breast, absolutely no flavour and very tough, 1 tiny piece of banana and half a slice of pineapple! nothing like i have ever tasted in any other takeaway or restaurant before, Lamb tikka balti was also horrible, sauce was really tangy, nothing like a Balti and lamb was tough. even the peshwari naan had no flavour. We ordered from here a few months ago and it was lovely. When we rang to complain the manager said he'd had no complaints about the chicken before, offered us a discount if we ordered again next week! I dont think so!

I fancied an Indian takeaway last night and I was appealed by the cheap price (1xstarer 1x main 1x popadoms 1x drinks and 1x naan all for £12.50) I ordered the garlic mushroom purce for a starter and it was tasteless and the soggy. Then I had the chicken Malayan and I couldn’t even finish it, it was the worst Malayan I’d ever had. It had no taste and it was so watery, the entire dish went in the bin after one mouthful. The garlic naan was bland and hard. The only good things were the poppadoms and the onion salad. Waste of money, never again

Ordered online for delivery and the service was excellent. I eat a Gluten Free diet so takeaways can be difficult as places often just say there is nothing available because they don’t understand and want to be safe. However having spoken to the restaurant on the phone they really knew their stuff and allowed me to substitute items that I couldn’t have in the Special Box for GF options which was excellent. When it arrived the food was still very hot and tasted fantastic!

Haven't had an Indian takeaway for a while...used to use Tandoori Nights, which was usually OK. Thought we would give its a replacement a try. First and last time. The speed and price was OK, but the food just wasn't good. It started with the mint raita... never had anything like it before, consistency of tapioca, not particularly minty. Bhuna Prawn on puri...tasteless. Tandoori chicken..rubbery and tasteless. Peshawari nan... hardly any coconut. Tasteless. Not impressed, sorry.

Felt Robbed - Even with Free Food! After my last meal which was diabolical I phoned up to get my free meal as promised!! OMG it was even worse! 2 hours to come up from Houghton to Fence Houses! Decided against the Chicken Pathia this time as it was so bad last time & went for a Jalfrezi (Basically exactly the same as my pathia - Same horrible colour & ZERO SPICE). Only Indians I’ve ever had Egg Fried Rice From!?!?!?! I’m all for giving someone a chance but “NEVER AGAIN”

Tried this place as its new and everything deserves a go. Poppadoms, chicken rogan, chicken jalfrezi, egg rice, veg rice and a chapati £22.50. Inc delivery. I love Indian food but this was by far the worst excuse for a meal I'd ever had. Look at the photo. That was a jalfrezi and egg rice. The egg is the little brown bits and the jalfrezi was more like a tikka masala with chilli powder. The previous review was spot on. No spice, every mouthful tasted bland. Jalfrezi is a dish with vibrant flavours, tomatoes, garlic ginger coriander, green chillies, wow factor. Not this. In fact my wifes rogan was more spicey than mine. But the rogan should be a base sauce as, dupiaza and all mid range curries with extras. A rogan should have tomatoes. Not this dish, tomatoe skins and lots of finely shredded onion. Absolutely pathetic. Rice... OMG. Veg rice was peas and rice. Egg was burnt bits. In all honesty best thing about this was the chapati. The photo was the full jalfrezi minus 1 pice of hard chicken took from the top.

Had been craving an Indians all through lockdown & when I saw Tandoori Night had closed, but another Indian restaurant was opening in the same premises I was praying that the same staff would be getting kept on! To my horror they were NOT!! Placed an order on Saturday 1st August via Their website and got 10% discount! After an hour the food came. Opened all cartons and the food didn’t even smell like Indian! Plated up the watery food & was shocked at how tasteless it was! No Taste! NO Spice! No Flavour! JUST NOTHING!! Chips so greasy that the bag was soggy & they were like lumps of soggy potato that didn’t even resemble chips! Even my dog wouldn’t eat them & she eats anything, so that wasn’t a good sign at all.... Papadom £ 0.80 4 £3.20 Onion Bhaji (S) £2.50 Chicken Pathia £4.60 Onion Pilau. £2.90 Garlic & Coriander Nan £2.30 Chips £1.90 Tikka Chicken Wrap. £5.00 Delivery £2.00 Service Charge: 0.70 Online Discount: 2.20 Total: £22.90 Rang the takeaway & immediately knew the same staff didn’t work there! I explained that I’d been going to Tandoori Night for best part of 25 years & I’d never had a bad meal & after 1 meal from the new owners I was shocked! The lad apologised & said if I ring back the next time I fancy a meal he will replace me entire meal free! Watch this space............

Spotted Rivaaj on @Just Eat and found that it has recently opened, on the site of the now defunct Tandoori Nights. The menu had all the usual suspects and a few different speciality dishes. I chose Green Bengal with Chicken Tikka. This is cooked with green peppers, peeled tomatoes, fresh coriander, green chillies, mixed spices and lime juice. It is described as spicy and hot. My wife chose Rivaaj Special Curry with Chicken Tikka. This is cooked with fried mushrooms, onions, capsicum with fresh Punjabi Masala in a thick sauce. We mixed onion and garlic pilau rice and shared a Peshwari Naan. Delivery took 50 minutes, which is very good, considering we are about a 10 to 12 minute drive away. The driver was very pleasant and the food looked, smelled and tasted delicious. We received two complimentary papadoms and a thank you card for supporting local businesses during these difficult times. It was a really nice touch and I thank them for their hard work, continuing to provide for us during this crisis.

On a dog walk my friend and I decided to stop for a drink. I was impressed that there were plant based milks available. My dog was happy as he had a sausage. My hot chocolate (with oat milk) was nice and I enjoyed the view. The place is ideal if you’re near the beach and want to sit with a cuppa.

Worst food I’ve ever had at the stack. The taco meat was warm and cold in the middle. The plate was swimming in liquid ( that I had to pour out). There was no taste & it looked disgusting. And to top it off I was charge over a tenner. I would avoid if I was you. So disappointed.

The first time we ordered was because my 16 year old grandson wanted to try it. Ordered the box meal via the app and got a 25% discount. However, the food arrived and was not hot although once put into the oven to heat, it was fine, there was a good selection of char grilled meats with bread, rice and dips. The following week, we got together as a family of 4 at my daughter's and since she lives nearer to the takeaway, we figured the food would arrive hotter than last week so we gave it another try. We ordered again via the app at 6.15 pm and got the £40 meal for £30. After an hour when the food didn't arrive I called and was told they would sort it out and call me back. I waited another 30 mins and called again. This time I was told there was no order for delivery at the address . It transpired that my daughter had made a mistake when ordering and paying with my card, that she had changed the delivery address from mine (the billing address) to hers, but hadn't changed the postcode and the delivery driver had gone to my empty home at Southwick instead of Pennywelll!. I asked the lady from the establishment what would happen now and she said ther was nothing she could do as it was our mistake. By then the money had been taken from my bank account! My argument was then, when the delivery driver got no reply at my empty home, why didn't they then ring us, they had the telephone number, then the whole sorry mess could have been sorted sooner?! They then agreed to deliver the food to the actual address we wanted it delivered to but again it didn't arrive! After another hour and a further 3 or 4 phone calls iwas told the driver was 3 minutes away, he didn't actually arrive until half an hour later and you've guessed it, by this time the food really was stone cold! I won't be ordering again!
