It's now called Delhi Delights. It's not a delight. 40 minutes wait for takeaway. Food was cold when I got it home. The kebabs were just Luke warm and just about edible. Aloo tikki was cold and this was opened within 5.minutes from when I left the restaurant. I had to heat it at home. Lamb kebab roll was not well cooked, it lacked the spice punch and being lukewarm, it was not nice to eat. Would I eat there again? Not even if they paid ME. Customer service is zero. I don't want to hear " ill tell the kitchen staff". How are you going to fix it is what I wanted to hear. Horrible and avoid.

Mu husband ordered a takeaway which took 45 mins and when he finally got the food it was stone cold. The girl on the other end of the phone line refused any help or refund. We were ready to take the food back as well and we got no response either. She was not willing to help us at all. Really bad service . This was the first and last time we will go. The food was so bad.

After seeing a blogger raving about this place we decided to try it once when we were in the area. The food here is so much better than our usual go to places like Chandni Chowk. Its pleasant to see female staff working hard and being very attentive and caring towards everyone's needs. Since its navratri time, they recommended some great no onion garlic options for me and some child friendly food for my son. The portion size is generous and food is cooked fresh and everything we ordered tasted great too. Their fresh juices are very tasty. Overall i am glad we made the visit and would go back here again to try more of their dishes. More power to you girls.

Draughty place that most of the dinners kept their coats on. I used to go there almost every Sunday for lunch many moons ago. Their aloo tikki with a bhatura was to die for. Now the tikki was so dry and stale and the bhatura tasted of fish. When I asked if they fried it in the same oil, they denied. For vegetarians we can smell it a mile off. My friends chicken tikka masala was dry also with ordinary curry sauce. Very disappointing with the food.

I visited this restaurant with my mother in law and was extremely disappointed to see that the staff cheated her. Firstly when we got to the restaurant very loud music was playing whilst this is great for a wedding it is totally inappropriate for an ambient restaurant. Secondly their prices for their samosas are very high they sell them 3 samosas for £5. The staff conned us by saying the samosas were large but actually they were medium size at best. That having been said we ordered 6 and paid £10. When we got home there was worse to come. The staff had charged us &10 and only given us 2 samosas. The reason we didn’t notice in the shop is because we also ordered a curry . I tried to call the shop to complain and the member of staff pretended she couldn’t speak English when I told her I wanted to make a complaint. She was so rude she put the phone down on me and my mother in law 5 times. Please avoid the restaurant at all costs staff are rude and dishonest. The portion sizes are very small and the music is too loud. With this attitude I it’s only a matter of time before this place closes down.

I have been going on and off to Ritas for over 40 years and was my goto place for Indian food. I have moved away from Southall and only get to visit occasionally now. This last visit was very disappointing for the following reasons :- Prices have gone far too high for the standard of restaurant. Food quality poor ..pakora tasted greasy and batter far too thick. Found a piece of wire in the aloo tiki ...unacceptable! Naan greasy and not cooked properly. Mint chutney tasted awful ...very artificial and not natural. Overall poor ingredients used and food tasted as if it had been thrown together without care. Sadly this will be my last visit after all these years because there are too many better quality restaurants with cheaper prices in Southall.

Didn't know an excellent restaurant place could drop so low. Once the most common name used when talking about going to Southall for an Indian. But never again. Fancied a chicken tikka roll and lamb samosas. Chicken looked days old in the fridge. Didn't want to risk it. Then bought a portion of lamb samosas. Got the most bland tasting samosas I have ever tasted. Meat was clearly old and off. Disgusting taste. Yes, not a very nice next day experience. Please please please do not go here. It is not the same.

I have been going to Rita's since the early 90s when i worked in the area and was my go to for lunch. I moved jobs but I always made a point of going back to Rita's whenever I'm in the area, but I haven't been back for a couple of years due to lockdown. Now that restrictions have been removed I went back like a shot, I wish I hadn't. Back in the day the staff and food was excellent, plus it was very reasonable, but not any more. First the new owners have no idea about to speak to customers. I gave my order to a woman and the way she looked at me you would have thought I had two heads. I ordered what use to be their lunchtime special, Allo Tikki. It used to be served in a big plate with plenty of chickpeas and a couple of potato fritters. Now its served in what I can describe as a side plate, very small. The taste was the same but it was lukewarm, almost like it was just warmed up quickly in a microwave. I then orders a couple of small chicken tikka naan rolls to take away for me and my wife. The naan bread was cold and the chicken was not great. When I went to pay the woman who served me had to look at the menu for the prices, then asked the man something before telling me the cost. Now this is the thing that shocked me. The reason Rita's was such a great success in the past was that it was good home cooked food at a reasonable price. I know things have gone up and I'm not comparing to what I use to pay 30 years ago but the same items 2 years ago came to around £6, this time it was £10. I'm sorry Rita's but I don't think you will be seeing me again.

During a day trip to the area, this restaurant was recommend to us for takeaway food. We ordered Pakora, meat and veg samosas, we had to wait as the samosas had to be cooked from the freezer (not a good start I thought, and not sure if the Pakora was frozen or not) I was thinking that these would be freshly made, like other Indian takeaways I have visited in the past. The food came all bagged up for us to eat later in the day. For what we ordered, I thought it was a bit pricey. We ate the food later on our way home, the Pakoras all 1kg were over cooked, the samosas were cooked ok (ish) but had no real flavour / taste and were very disappointing. Having lived in the area many many years ago and used to go here when it was the Rita Samosa Centre it was truly excellent but the (I assume) new owners have not done the Rita name or brand and favours.

The guy looked at me like so wtf ?? The previous owners were friendly and from the same village back home. The owners are from MARS!!! Anyway that was all needed to make up my mind and never visit the place and again. And of course I agree totally with all the negative experiences - that food is sub standard. I really hope they sale the business on to people who really give a sh*t about the people and are not totally focused on grabbing people's hard earned and honest living.

We couldn't eat it had to throw it away. Tasted awful and very oily. Having visited here when it was under the previous management I am disappointed to find that standards have now declined with the new management. Unfortunately, Rita's appears cutting corners on the quality of food. I have tried several vegetarian dishes here such as Matar Paneer and Chana. These are the worst I have ever tasted. It tasted like the sauce for these was made using tinned tomato soup. The Saag looked and tasted like a mash of pure spinach leaves with little other ingredients. Excessive chilli or salt is added to many of their vegetable curries. I suspect to disguise the lack of freshness. The chicken tandoori legs did not appear to be very fresh. They were burnt, hard on the outside and reheated in a microwave. The only thing that I could recommend is the Naan or Parathas which are freshly made.

Visited today as a family Christmas treat with my husband, toddler son and elderly mother. Should have went with gut looking at people eating there. No families, only guys out to drink with their fellow drunk mates and eat anything that resembles food. High chair requested and it had food stuck on it with flies swarming. Starters came.....chicken tandoori was yellow?! Chilli paneer was just masala with undercooked paneer. Paapri chaat had so much red chilli powder you couldn't taste the dish!! Couldnt give any of it to my son who usually loves those dishes elsewhere. Disappointing start. Mains....even worse. Husbands face when mixed grill came said it all. Dry, burned, microwaved cheap cuts of meat. Worse still, lamb kebabs were out of a packet and did not taste of lamb. Lamb chops rubbery and cant even chew!!!! Dhal makani was reheated and lacked enough water in it. Dried out and cold within minutes. Butter chicken was a joke, no marinated pieces but torn off a leg and swimming in oil. The chicken pieces...GREY. We complained and the waitress couldnt care less and just asked for the money. Cue a ruined family meal.....thanks Ritas!!!!! Never EVER go there. The food is the draw to this place. The food is authentic north Indian and the Pakistani patrons like me will be most at home here. The food is tasty and uses good local produce. The recipes are familiar and well made. Can highly recommend the Chats that at £3.80 are amazing value for money and come with both Turmarind chatney as well as mint sauce. Try the stuffed Roti's ( parata's ) they are a real taste of home cooked food. Unfortunately the meat is not halal so Muslim patrons may feel a little left out but the vegetarian dishes more than make up for the meat. So by 3:30pm I walked into Rita's and ordered a Paneer Tikka roll in a plain parantha with brown chutney/onions inside. I went to my car and I sat there indulging in this rich Indian street food. And I can tell you we all got to live a little no matter how good were trying to be. I'm so glad I went and indulged myself in some comfort food since my body was well deserving of it. It thanked me after. I regret adding the brown sauce as it clashed with the tikka marinade on the Paneer. So I won't be having it again. Not sure about the onions either. But everything else was perfect. Also on my birthday two days before I ordered Gobhi parantha's and paneer samosa's as a lunch with my family. Absolutely delicious.

I have used Ritas for many years. The owners, the Sidhu brothers, both have butchery connections and the meat is always good quality. The value for money is always very good as the brothers prefer to be busy throughout the day from 10am to 10pm. No alcohol is served but some customers bring in their own supplies to consume with their meals. My daughter (33 years) has been brought up on chicken tikka rolls and if I pick her up or return her to Heathrow for her Kuwait flight her first/last call is Ritas. Being a vegetarian and allergic to coriander it can become difficult to choose places to eat but Rita's always make you feel welcome. They have no issue leaving out coriander and value for money wise, a friend and 1 had a starter a man and a drink ea for only £20. Would highly recommend.

I first visited this restaurant in 1976. It is basic but the food is great. Buy the curries and freeze them!! Can't fault it!!!

Great fresh food for a cheap price. Eat from here regularly and all friends and family I have taken there have enjoyed the food. Tend to get take out as not the nicest décor but apart from that friendly staff, quick service, good food at a fair price.

Went in with a mate a while back we had a mixed grill for starters, two chicken curries with rice and naans, dessert and lassi. All were pretty damn good and all for less than a tenner each for both of us.

I went there with my wife and infant. The management was friendly. I ordered a Chaat, Tikki and Rasmalai which were exceptional. i cannot say the same about the mains which ranged between bad to average. I will go there again but not for the mains.

I use to visit this restaurant from last 12 years. Their food we always find very delicious, tasty and healthy. My friends also love their food aswell. My favourite is black daal, Tarka dal, saag and black channe. All food is like home made and on a very reasonable price. I always recommend my friends to this restaurant.

Go now and again as the food is reasonable for the price. They never seem to get the order quite right. We asked for a kebab roll in nann not puri and it came in a puri little things like that can be irritating. Overall we do normally enjoy the food.

Went there with family/friends and had samosa chaat and pani puri. The "paneer" samosa should have been a "peas" samosa as there was only 3 tiny pieces of minced paneer to be found. The pani Puri was a tad better, a few of my family members had a kebab roll and said it was filling. Waiter seemed happy and delivered reasonable service. Since going back to Southall I have tried different restaurants instead as I wasn't roped into being a cult fan of this branch where a Pea stuffed samosa is mis-represented as a paneer samosa.

I used to love Ritas. Now quality has gone down - Expressionless waiters who do not want to serve. Ordered Starters and told them that I want main meal after I finished starters. Just bit samosa and main meal arrived ( microwaved) - Jug on table - had to ask waiter to bring over glass. Staters - Had to ask waiter for chutney. He was too busy watching Bollywood on TV and grudgingly served. Lamb curry was not nice - though chapatis were good freshly made.Wont be going to Ritas again. Totally disappointed.

I have been to Rita's a few times and head hear when I'm in Southall. The Lamb Samosa's are delicious and I always order extras to take away. Butter Chicken is nice here as well as the Garlic Naan and chapatis. Food is really good value and the meals come out quickly. Decor is a bit dated and the place could do with updating but nothing too much to worry about. Overall recommended.

Southall on a Sunday afternoon is quite special and a quick bite for lunch at Rita's rounds out the the experience. Their menu is perhaps too large, but we were grateful they had a mild, very tender, moorish chicken tikka for our fussy children. Their chaats are light as bubbles. A jug of mango was enough for the whole family and delicious. This is not fine dining by any stretch, but an extremely satisfying pit stop.

Been here in the past around 5 years ago and it was nice food. Visited over the weekend July 2014 and the place is really run down. The tables and chairs were sticky, there was food on the floor. It was disgusting and uncomfortable sitting in this restaurant. When the food came out it was totally tasteless, I would never go back again. Totally ruined an evening out. Had to pick up a take away on the way home.

I have been going there for years and have taken many people there, not for a romantic evening just for a great value very tasty lunch. Everybody enjoys the food. Its not posh but its good. A fish tikka roll and a mango lassi is only about £4 a huge mixed grill with a drink £10ish. Its reputation is largely by word of mouth and well deserved.

I recommend this restaurant if you want pure authentic Indian curries as there are many Indian restaurants out there which are very inauthentic and over priced. Rita's curries are delicious tasty, you can get a big meal for approx 15 pounds each. Staff are friendly and welcoming and make an effort. I have ate here a few times and they bring their food on time too!

If you want a good, value for money homely food then you will be hard pushed to find much wrong with anything on their menu. It's noticeable that one tends to see a lot more non Indian customers returning to this eatery. The fish starters or tandoori chicken, kebabs, papri chaat or even the chicken tikka rolls are very good as well as most other dishes on the menu. The variety and choice of main dishes is ample for most palettes and in decent portions too.Worth trying the Methi chicken, chilli chicken or even the usual butter chicken as well as the Dal makhani or other veg dishes too. Faluda, mango lassi or fresh passion fruit juice are worth drinking. Most other soft drinks are available in cans from the chiller. There's no airs or graces in this place and what you see is what you get and the case of food, it's good and inexpensive. You have 2 screens running Bollywood and Bhangra music. The only downside is the toilets which could do with updating but they're ok if necessary otherwisego before you get there lol!!Staff and management are polite and obliging too and adjust spices/ chillies according to your taste if required.
