Great Italian food, all freshly cooked including freshly prepared home made pasta and bread. Great value. A real 'local gem', the kind of which is increasingly hard to find.

We were craving Italian and found this little place in Birmingham and menu looked authentic. We checked it out and the small restaurant had the best vibes, super authentic, all the workers were Italian, and the specials sounded and tasted amazing. We got an appetizer, two pastas, tiramisu and a bottle of wine and digestive and were impressed with it all! The food was amazing!!! Super wholesome vibes and would definitely come back. Thank you!

Recommended from a Meetup group I brought my family here for a birthday meal and we were all really impressed The restaurant is small with only a handful of tables but the quality of the food and the service is second to none The staff apart from all being genuine Italian are excellent and nothing is too much trouble for them The food is just like the real thing and I have no hesitation in highly recommending this place

Cute little Italian restaurant with amazing food. The chef and staff are friendly and warm! Great place to eat. There are a few free parking spots just outside but if you're going after 7.30 pm, the streets have free parking. If you can't enter the clean air zone, then you can park for up to 3 hours at the big springhill tesco across the roundabout and walk over!

Probably the best restaurant in Birmingham. So understated but so incredibly good.. Everyone needs to experience this place - Italian food at its best. Service, quality and price - amazing.

Definitely a look's can be deceiving place, look's just like a run of the mill cafe from the outside but once inside it's set out just like a restaurant. Staff were very welcoming. The food is AMAZING!! Will definitely visit again.

Absolutely brilliant Italian restaurant on the outer edge of the city centre. The staff make you feel so welcome and the food is fresh and delicious. We came as a group of nine for a birthday and had the best evening. Our waitress was attentive and friendly, she explained the specials (which are definitely worth having) and took care of us all evening. I don't think I've had food this good for such good value. Definitely recommend to anyone in Birmingham or beyond!

An amazing experience! It’s a short walk outside the main Birmingham City Centre but the atmosphere inside makes it well worth it. I went there for my birthday and despite calling several times to let them know I would be arriving late, they were nothing but accommodating. We arrived with a large group of people and they took a considerable amount of time to talk us through the chef's specials and even kindly helped with our Italian pronunciations. As if everything they had done so far wasn't enough, they even stayed open well past their closing time to provide us some delicious dessert. Amazing food, amazing prices and an even more amazing staff!!!

An Italian run hidden gem on the outskirts of Birmingham City centre. I have been frequenting Gustami's for the past 6 years, and I can't say enough good things about it! The home cooked Italian food is absolutely amazing. My favourites are the homemade spinach and ricotta tortellini in sage butter, the blue cheese gnocchi the bruscetta pomadoro. They have a good menu of starters, salads, pastas, pizzas and meat dishes, and also offer around 6 chefs specials that change on a regular basis. They have a good range of wines to compliment your meal and a decent house red. The service is great and the staff are very friendly and often the chef will come to your table to ask if you enjoyed the food. The atmosphere is welcoming and non pretentious. The restaurant is also great value for money. If you are a fan of good Italian food in a relaxed environment, then I definitely recommend this restaurant.

We just got 2 pizzas for takeaway, oh my god they were so delicious. Proper dough and ingredients. Book a table and try them out, you will not regret it.

very good place, but most importantly the staff are amazing. notably giovanni vona is the best his a man of many talents his a maths genius, a pro boxer and a amazing chef, theres nothing this man can’t do if he had to he would save humanity alone.

Wonderful authentic Italian restaurant in Brum a short walk away from the Jewellery Quarter. Warm, friendly service, large portion sizes, and very reasonably priced. I'd highly recommend it.

We went there last night (party of 4) after a canal walk and had such a lovely evening. The staff were very warm, welcoming and attentive. The food was lovely and excellent value for money. Shame it’s not local to us as we would definitely make this a regular stop.

Found this place by chance, whilst booking parking for NIA. What a find! A little gem, tucked away. Greeted by the smell of garlic and herbs as we entered the door. Pleasant surroundings. Lovely service. Bruschetta pomodoro was the best weve tasted. Mains were equally as good, delicious, tasty, and ample servings. Four of us; wine, starters and mains £92. What a steal. Definitely recommend. Wish we lived nearer so we could visit again.

Behind a rather nondescript façade and in an inauspicious part of Birmingham is this fabulous place. Authentic Italian cooking, relaxed atmosphere, affordable prices and friendly staff. If you like food in Italy but are disappointed about eating Italian in UK (like me), this is the place for you. Always pleased to return.

One of the best proper pizza places I have ever been in!

Gustami is our family favourite! The food is fabulous, fantastic wine selection & the team are really lovely. It’s totally worth the short walk out of the Jewellery Quarter or the city centre for a genuine, independent Italian.

Cakes were dry but the mains were excellent. The prices were great too. The service was impeccable. The waiter was quick without looking rushed, the food was served fairly quickly.

This place gets great reviews online but when we went there we entered a cold enough restaurant with a pungent smell.. can't comment on anything else as we had to leave due to this.. maybe the food is good but we didn't hang around to find out

Location is a bit far away from the city but food and prices are just perfect. The homemade pasta filled with spinach is sooooo good that I finished the whole plate!! As a person with low appetite for a while this is the biggest compliment I would give. Tiramisu is the best as well, probably 10 times better than the ones in town. Thanks so much for taking care of us the whole night x

Amazing Italian, great service and delicious home-cooked food

We were so surprised to find a such high quality Italian restaurant in this location. We enjoyed the starter, main course and our desert, for a fraction of price we expected.

What a find! Ten minute walk to the NIA, five minute walk from the carparking at Tesco. (Booked the extended parking). Food was spot on, house wine a good choice and all very sensibly priced. For a pre-concert meal it is ideal, I'm sure to be back.

Used to be my go to Italian restaurant from every aspect as it feels homey, but the service as of last time was terribly under standards, clueless staff, over 1 hour waiting time on food etc.

Very long wait for a delivery, 1,5 hours , pizza arrived tiny and lukewarm ,meatballs in pasta were like rubber and no taste , such a waste of time and money , absurd

Just finished the Misto Carne pizza - terrific. You can tell they make their own dough. Likewise for the garlic bread in a hand made foccacia. The only reason the food isnt 5* is the garlic bread is pretty small.

A lovely little restaurant, no frills, and yet something very special in the simplicity. The warm welcome, relaxed pace, delicious food and excellent service with attentive but not pushy staff make for a lovely dining experience. Good sized portions, and excellent sharing platters. Would highly recommend and will be returning soon.

Went here with my family for my birthday on Saturday following a recommendation from a friend. The food was beautiful and the service was excellent all evening. Whilst the restaurant is a little off the beaten track, it's well worth a visit and the food is a worthy compensation. Compared to many other Italian chains, the prices are more than reasonable with a more intimate and authentic atmosphere. Almost certainly the best Italian meal I've had in Birmingham - would recommend highly.

Brilliant experience with nice food at a very affordable price. The restaurant feels more like of a little takeaway place with a few tables on the front however the food is really nice with a wide selection of wines to pair it with. When I got there, it was quite busy which resulted with a longer waiting time for service but I had a good experience overall. The experience was only better when i found out the prices are actually really low for the quality of food served. If the atmosphere inside was better, I would give it 5/5.

Ristorante Caffe Gustami is a small independent Italian restaurant near the Jewellery quarter. It is not very big, with a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. You can see pictures with the chef owner around the restaurant. Italian music is playing throughout. There is a large variety of wines. The staff are very friendly, the waitress is very knowledgeable and when presented the menus also explained the specials for the day. The prices are very good and the food is absolutely delicious! Everything is homemade. Even the chef comes out after every course to ask if the food is alright. Such a nice and friendly environment. You feel like you're transported in an intimate restaurant in Italy! Recommend the sharing platter with cheese, different nibbles, homemade focaccia and hams and salami! The risotto is absolutely delicious. The pasta is so fresh and tasty! Definitely recommend!

Went in after days of craving pasta, and was delighted on every count. Clean, bright, fresh designed interior; very pleasant to look at with Italian music playing gently. It was a 30 degree day out, but inside felt cooler and refreshing. It was incredibly cosy and we are definitely returning! I especially look forward to returning in the cooler seasons, as the food was hot and hearty, great for satiating cravings and hunger. They had quite a few specials and they were all incredibly appealing. The man who served us was very kind and described every dish for us and did not give off condescending or judgemental vibes at all. He also checked on us throughout and was super responsive and helpful. The creamy salmon pasta was very delicate in flavour with incredible tasting smoked salmon. The spaghetti with meatballs was everything I ever wanted in a plate of pasta – hot, fresh tomato, garlic herby sauce with spaghetti that was perfectly cooked and meatballs that were just solid and meaty. We also ordered the Panna cotta with chocolate topping and the chocolate sauce was so rich, the Panna cotta being smooth and full of flavour, a fantastic consistency. Great experience, and as other reviews said, don't judge a book by its cover. This was perfect and ticked all the boxes, for reasonable prices! Definitely returning and recommending to anyone who wants Italian food!!! No faults! Can't thank the person here enough for the pleasant experience.

Incredible value for money, a hidden gem.

Super delicious food. All made from scratch like the schiacciata bread and handmade sausage. All cooked to perfection and so much flavour. The waitress was very friendly and welcoming and very informative and helpful. And the chef kept popping out to check if we were enjoying our meal, which was great as it showed he cared. The stand out dessert for us was the crema catalana. You must try it. It was a taste sensation! As previous reviews have said, this is a hidden gem. That's very true. Don't judge a book by it's cover with this restaurant, food magic is made inside! I'm definitely returning!!

Turning around with my motorbike I saw this small restaurant with convenient parking and I decide to take a stop, So I found simple dishes that I have tried and made me feel at home, simple and exceptional dishes, taste of home; then kindness, courtesy, giant smiles and an exceptional coffee, not to mention the liqueurs at the meal end , all at exceptional prices; I can't wait to go back !!!

We were taken to this little gem of a place as a birthday treat and were not disappointed. The staff were very friendly, helpful and attentive. The food was superb great menu and our little dog was allowed to join us too. We highly recommend this place. Free parking was easy just outside too.

Absolutely astonishing value - fabulous, simple, tasty food from people who obviously care, at incredible prices. EDIT - back again post lockdown, absolutely delighted that Gustami are still here, would have been a horrible loss to the local area and to a lovely family and staff. Welcome back! My partner and I would often come here when we lived in the area. The most amazing Italian food and the people that work here are so lovely and attentive. If you want traditional Italian, this is the place to go. Looking forward to visiting again when we’re back in the area.
