absolute joke shitty service and cold food

This the first and last time I'm going to order here. They made me wait an hour and 45 minutes for my order when they press 45 minutes on their system. What an absolute joke!

Waited an hour and still missing items on delivery

Food was too salty. Delivery time was atrocious. Ordered chicken pieces which 1 hour and 20 mins to deliver. We live 8 mins away.

Absolute joke of a place. I mention no sauce in the burger, and they put so much sauce. I call, the man tells me to listen and be quiet, hangs the phone up. I go to the shop, confront the man who lied and said it wasn’t him answering the phone. They then make another burger for me, I get home and see they did the EXACT same thing. I call back and he lies and says they didn’t put anything inside. Joke of a place don’t even bother going

Didn’t include my chips in my order, when i called for them to bring it the manager was extremely rude and cut the phone on me. DONT EAT HERE!

The gentlemen in Rio were very friendly and were happy to oblige to lots of request and went the extra mile to help you out. If you are hesitant on going to Rio’s I would recommend it over Pepe’s as it is cheaper and arguably better

They give you incomplete orders which you have fully paid for, When you call they speak in there own language to each other while you are waiting to find out about you food and then they just put the phone down. The food is also under cooked or over cooked.

Absolutely awful experience with the bearwood branch. Food was delivered an hour and 45 mins late. All of the chicken was raw and the fries were overcooked and consumed in peri peri salt!!! Will not be ordering from here again!

Staff swearing in their language amongst themselves- I think the owner should check the camera footage if it’s possible as I confronted the staff member for swearing whilst taking to me lucky I didn’t strike his jaw off - 04/02/25 at approx 7.15-7.30pm -food arrived cold and was told the chicken was fresh but turned out to be stale. Retuned the food but didn’t get a refund as it wasn’t about the money - Do Not recommend this to anyone.- wouldn’t even buy the food to feed to my dog!

Quite disappointed with the quality of the meal. The fries were extremely oily and covered in chunks of peri peri sauce, which made them unpleasant to eat. No serviettes or sauces were provided. I would recommend improving the quality of the food and ensuring basic essentials like sauces and napkins are included.

Rates are getting increase and services whenever I ordered I never received the comdiments or any sauce which I definitely am supposed to receive .. tried to call the restaurant this time as well but of no use they didn't received the call. And I literally am looking at both of my orders how to eat without the mayo garlic I specifically order everytime .. this has happened many times now... u need to keep an eye in these things as well.. trivial things matter a lot . Otherwise food has been always good.. but really disappointed

I highly encourage people to come here if they are looking for amazing food, flavour , quality and hospitality. I love the staff.. Mr Zain and his fellow gave me complementary drink and onion rings... amazing experience.. its a 10/10 for me. Definitely I will come back again here

I used to order here a lot, and the food was always great. This time, the order had all 3 drinks missing, none of the extra cheeses I paid to have added to the burgers, the burgers themselves tasted weirdly off, the peri fries were completely spilled inside the bag and because delivery took an hour and 15 minutes when I live less than 10 minutes away, the food wasn’t even warm anymore. If you like Rio’s, order from a different branch.

Disappointed with the staff took my order first and gave me after 2-3 customers who came after me.Even my order was not that much just wings and chips. Staff is chilling and making calls I dont think theres a manager to keep an eye on them.staff should be trained to deal with the customers because thats what they paid for.I dont recommend this placeto anybody just waste of time and money too.

Food is actually good when they make it, however store is so dirty and staff always talking really loud and look unbotherd.

Service - Staff dont know what their doing, staff too busy talking amongst themselves no care for customers. The shop was really dirty inside, i think staff just leave all the mess until closing time. Foods inconsistent, staff aren’t welcoming. Staff need alot of training. Wouldn’t recommend at all Avoid at all costs ! Not worth the disappointment. Plenty of better peri peri shops out there.

Ordered on Uber, wanted to change one part of the meal even though it was the same price I was refused. Not helpful, food was sent cold and overcooked. Go to Rio’s next time!!!!

I ordered the spicy rice which is usually quite spicy and flavoured, i just picked some up and it was very plain without any flavour, i think they may have forgotten the chillis or whatever they use to soice up the rice,…. Been calling for past 5 minutes but no response not very happy as this was one of my favourite places to eat

I've tried every Rio's in Birmingham, but Rio's Bearwood is hands down the best I've ever had in my 27 years of life. The food was so incredible that I had to call the shop just to say thank you! From now on, this is the only Rio's I'll be visiting. The food was absolutely mouthwatering, and the kind man on the phone made sure everything was perfect—I'm usually very picky, but I had zero complaints. Thank you so much, I highly recommend this location. No other Rio's compares to this one. I've had bad experiences with other branches, but I've never loved anything as much as I love Rio's Bearwood. Your food is so glorious, I nearly started singing "Food, Glorious Food!"

Had dinner at Rios last night, and everything was excellent. The wings were flavorful, the chicken and rice were perfectly cooked and seasoned, and both the chicken and beef burgers were juicy and delicious. The food quality and service exceeded expectations. Highly recommend!

Had bad experience in several times, forgetting to include food that I have ordered, too much waste of time (ex- even though it is a fast food shop it takes 1hour minimum to get a order done from uber, deliveroo and just eat), misleading information on just it ( it says 20 wing platter but they only sending us 15 wings. When I did inquire about it they said according to their menu it is only 15 wings and two fries for £12.99 and when I asked them isn’t it misleading they said they cannot do anything about what is mentioned in the just eat app. But I am pretty sure it is possible to change it from their end). Overall really bad experience with customer service.

Rotten food. Sent me to toilet I couldn’t make it at work the next day due to food poisoning, I had chicken and rice , the smell was nasty. Please avoid else you will end up either in the toilet or at the hospital, you’ve been warned

Classic example of what happens when the owner isn't around.. family of 4 and food is missing.. waiting another 10 to 15 mins for kids food as they expect half the family to eat.. fire all the staff and rehire.. logic over cheaper wages.. they say when you pay peanuts you get monkeys 🐒

Whenever I’ve ordered it has taken 1 hour + for them to get my order ready, usually my order consists of 3 meals. When the order is finally ready and I only get home to find some items missing on multiple occasions. This place has never has any food ready and the staff always seem to be confused. Rio’s HQ really need to consider taking over this branch or put it under special measures to save brand reputation

This was my first and definitely will be the last time I will visit this place. The staff are so unprofessional and don't know how to speak with respect. Furthermore, I went to the toilet to wash my hands and came across such unpleasant smells and dirt on the floor. An hour after eating my meal, I ended up getting really bad stomach cramps followed by bad diarrhoea. Please avoid this place. You'll end up getting ill.

Terrible raw nuggets and asked for a platter lady with a scarf said it will take too long lol who says that, that's your job. Ordered 2 fries and she put them in one bag terrible so couldn't even tell if it's one or two. Avoid this place. I never leave negative reviews but service was terrible don't waste your money

Placed a +£40 order for collection. The menu here offers less than other Rios branches (e.g. the La Familia platter has more food elsewhere). The person taking the order seemed rude, tried to upsell me a "free" 1.5l bottle of pepsi for a further £5 spend as a "one time offer" Collected and got home to find they had shorted me by 2 portions of fries and had given no piri fries in any of the ones they did provide. Called to complain and hit a brick wall with the manager. The food they did give wasn't anything to rave about either. Plenty of other better restaurants accross Bearwood hi st
