Arrived and was given a key to the wrong room. Reception rectified this, but second room was not clean with hair and beard trimmings from previous person. Third room was ok, but I wouldn’t say it’s a ’spa hotel’. Would not advise using the gym (a out-shed with no amenities in it) and the spa is not included in the hotel stay.

I found this hotel on Booking.com whilst looking for somewhere to stay near the Peak District for a half term break. We normally stay in Premier Inns but I saw this Ringwood Hall hotel was the same price as the local Premier Inns over half term. It is a good location for getting into the Peak District and for going to Sheffield, lots of choice of local restaurants and other local amenities. The service we have experienced has been friendly. The only let down really has been the room, the bed has been borderline uncomfortable and the room is on the brink of feeling a little unloved/run down. There are spa facilities on site which is available for an extra charge which we did not experience. It has been fine but if the Premier Inn was cheaper I definitely would have preferred to have stayed there.

Great wedding venue. Fantastic settings. Only issues were the food was less than basic and if you stay overnight on a busy night you will be kept awake all night by drunk guests constantly slamming doors and shouting in corridors. Not very relaxing!

Room, grounds and spa were lovely, however the communication between departments was not good, on three different occasions I got told I had an outstanding amount on my booking, I didnt as I paid this when I checked in. The restaurant and the spa both told me the same, which as you can imagine is embarrassing when people stood behind us. The bath and sink were not clean, other than that the room was OK. Then the food, the chips were either over cooked or not cooked, the steak was an embarrassment for £30, and the burger was a soggy mess. We maybe had eaten 10% of our food, it got taken away without any questions, and when I asked for the bill I was told "its already on the way" . Hows that when I hadnt asked for it When we got to the spa we were shown the changing rooms, annnndddd then was it, we missed out on so many other features the spa had, we were not given a tour and we were not given directions around the spa, we later realised there were relaxation rooms upstairs, also if we have had a tour we would of known not to walk into a treatment room, that was not marked as a treatment room, WITH SOMEBODY IN IT having a treatment, again, very embarrassing. VERY DISAPPOINTED. The fact that we just wanted to relax saved them. All in all, it was an OK experience, I would not recommend not worth the money

The worst spa I have ever been to, that is not an exaggeration and the same price as luxury spas. We have booked a day spa 2-6pm, there are current 18 people in the spa (I’m writing this sat in the spa now) there are only 4 lounge beds. A couple across from me are currently sharing a bed. There wasn’t even an available locker for my partner to but his bag and clothes in, one of the ladies on reception had to carry his bag into the ladies changing room so I could put it in mine, this is due to only having 8 lockers in the male changing room and the spa being overbooked and crowded for the size of it. The pool is more of a water feature in the centre of the spa it is tiny!! Poor facilities, tiny steam rooms/sauna. Absolutely terrible. We go to ye olde bell spa often, at least once a month and that blows this out of the water and is the same price. Awful and incredibly disappointing.

Nice staff and breakfast . The building is a bit tired and old and could do with a bit of an upgrade , the building itself must have had a few ad ons and knock throughs as it was like a maze trying to get around the building , the signage was decent but you were going up and down staircases and up and down more staircases , a tip if you stay here leave your luggage at the reception and get them to take it to your room . Bedroom is tired with dark furnishings and a poor quality mattress , tv had poor reception and bathroom needs a bit of maintenance , toilet not a good flush , shower is in a bad position and is pretty weak and the bath has no grab handle on the wall for when you have a shower and no antislip mat for the base of the bath when having a shower . The grounds are nice if not spectacular

I recently visited the Ringwood Hall Spa and had a mixed experience. While the facilities were pleasant, especially the sauna which I thoroughly enjoyed, some aspects were disappointing. The robe and towels provided were of really bad quality, which detracted from the overall comfort. Unfortunately, the massage I received was probably the worst I have ever had. The therapist had extremely long nails, making it impossible for her to use her fingers effectively. As a result, I was mostly rubbed with her palms. In the areas where she did use her fingers, like my feet and arms, I kept getting scratched. Additionally, she couldn't properly massage my head due to her nails and ended up just playing with my hair and applying more oil, which was quite frustrating. To make matters worse, the therapist sniffed continuously throughout my massage, which was unpleasant and distracting. It was clear that she was sick and should not have been allowed to work so closely with clients in that condition. Overall, while the facilities had potential, the poor quality of the robe and towels, along with the subpar massage experience, significantly impacted my visit. I hope Ringwood Hall Spa can address these issues to improve the experience for future guests.

Had a very enjoyable and relaxing break here on the natural energy spa package including breakfast, dinner and afternoon tea with spa access and a treatment. The treatment was amazing and very professionally done. The staff are all friendly and very helpful. Spa facilities are excellent and surrounded by tranquil pretty gardens. Definitely worth a visit

Only used the spa and was very disappointed. Paid nearly £200 for the serenity afternoon package. The food was delicious and the spa itself has great facilities but it was the opposite of relaxing. Full of hen parties and groups of people chatting loudly and incessantly, even though the rules they make you agree to say you should keep your voice down and be considerate of others. Even in the quiet rooms there were people having loud conversations and doors constantly opening and closing and staff chatting to eachother. If you're looking for a relaxing couples spa day, give it a miss. We left after 2 hours even though we had 4 hours of time available. Came out more stressed than we went in.

Why bother asking if anyone has any allergies!!!!!! Staff need training!!!! One of our party has a Gluten Free Allergy and after having afternoon tea that obviously contained gluten she was unwell so she went to tell staff that they need to be extra careful when it comes to the evening meal, what happened at the evening meal is beyond belief. The young waiter came out with 2 starters and said I have 2 gluten free meals and we all replied with we only have one person that needs a GF meal he didn’t have a clue which one was GF the meal should have been brought out on it’s own and made sure it was kept separately from all the other meals Then it went downhill from there!!!! This was supposed to be a lovely weekend away on my daughter’s hen party and she ended up poorly all weekend Staff have been informed as we left that we would complain at the highest level as they need to understand allergies can be life threatening 😡😡

Returning from an amazing two night three day package stay deal to celebrate my 40th birthday with my mum and sister. All I can say is what an unforgettable special place it is. The efforts they went to to make me and my family feel special was incredible. The spar was perfect (relaxing, clean, not too crowded, as some can be). The massage was great and the relaxation area a dream! The food was great, large portions so you won’t go hungry for those with an appetite but if you couldn’t finish it they would box it for you, which is a really thoughtful touch. It was also beautifully presented and again waiting staff were really polite and couldn’t do enough for us, even laying out decoration on the table for my birthday celebration. The room we had was very spacious, tidy, and clean and suited our standard as comfy and cozy. So we were really happy! The grounds which we explored when the sun came out were picturesque and well worth a stroll round. The roses incredible and walled garden enchanting. Overall if you want amazing value for money, an experience where they care and go the extra mile, and a place you go to unwind and feel pampered, then this a great place to choose.

Failed to respond to a simple polite enquiry regarding reservations, bluntly put: what is the point in having a contact and enquire functionality in your business if it is not managed and engaged with? Disappointing, we will avoid this business given the risk of this basic ignorance being wider spread in their offerings and attitude.

Received a spa day with overnight stay for a Saturday. Had afternoon tea and 3 course evening meal included. Could not fault the spa and massage treatment. However despite a phone call from Ringwood Hall during the week leading up to my stay, when we arrived for our afternoon tea they did not have us booked in, we were given a table but had to wait 20 minutes to be asked if we want tea or coffee. A dinner reservation had been made for me and my daughter for 8pm but again when we arrived in the restaurant there was no reservation booked for us. When more than £450 was paid for the stay the little details matter. The room was lovely and clean with a very comfortable bed. Breakfast is a self serve and there was plenty of cooked breakfast, pastries cereals and breads, with tea coffee and fruit juices there is something for everyone. I will return but will double check all bookings and reservations are made.

The hotel was in a great location, and the building was beautiful. We booked an executive room as it was advertised as having a garden view. The room was spacious. However, there was a great big tree outside the window blocking the view entirely and quite a bit of light. The tree tapped on the window most of the night. The noise kept us awake, which really spoiled our stay. On the plus side, the restaurant was very nice and the gardens were lovely for an evening stroll.

Went to the spa and was absolutely everything we wanted it to be! Fabulous afternoon tea, then amazing spa and treatments (back massage). Nice and not too busy on a Wednesday afternoon meant we almost had the place to ourselves. Steam rooms, sauna rooms, pool, tropical showers, foot spa all really great, and the relaxing rooms upstairs. Even wonderful showers and products to use. The ONLY negative thing to say was that the dressing gown tie was hanging off. That's it! That's the only negative thing I've got to say! So they are doing pretty well! ☺️💞

The room my wife and I shared was modest but still nice. The location of the room meant we could pretty clearly hear the celebration(s) taking place in the courtyard during the evening hours. Seems like a location with a lot of events taking place, so it gets a bit crowded in the lobby at times. The staff members were all friendly. Food at the restaurant was decent for both afternoon tea and breakfast. Overall nothing extraordinary but still a good time if you don't mind a little noise/traffic!

Stunning building , stunning views . Had a lovely day for my brother’s wedding . The rooms could do with updating as they looked tired and old. Damp patches on the ceilings , plaster coming away from the walls and mould in the bathroom. Breakfast was lovely but I don’t agree with dogs coming into the restaurant area.

First room 212 executive double room was up 2 flights of stairs, down a corridor, and up and down more stairs, to a cold very dusty room. There was dust on the sides, cobwebs on the lights along with layers of dust. The bed was like sitting on the valance base, with no mattress, and the water wasnt very hot! The electric heater gave off a burning smell when we turned it on😬🫣This is the 1st time I have EVER complained about a room! We were upgraded to a suite, that wasn't really that much better! The bed was tired and mattress was shocking hard and pointless being on the valance base. But we had hot water💧 Oliver, Chelsea and the receptionist think her name was Anna 🤔 were very helpful, and are a real credit to the hotel. They made our stay that bit more bearable. Money could be better spent on furnishings, decorating and cleaners, instead of wasting money on individual condiments, that cost more to recycle than to buy..... Such a shame because Ringwood Hall could be as beautiful as its gardens with a little time and money spent in the right places.
