Staff are lovely and portion sizes are generous and prices are very reasonable will defo be back next time I’m in Glasgow

Great place for a Ramen. Rapid service & good sized portions. Only thing that could be improved is the waiter cleared away 3 people's plates when the 4th person at the table was still eating. Nonetheless the food was great & good value - worth a visit.

This is authentic, not the processed Asian food you get in chains. Asians themselves eat here. During a month visit to Glasgow, I visited 4 times. I never saw it crowded, so always easy to get a table. Loved the Beef Pho. If you go midweek, cheaper than weekends.

Extraordinary Japanese restaurant next to central station in Glasgow. The food is tasty and rich , the presentation is amazing and service is excellent. It Halal!!!

I had a great Susi experience. They have a bunch of different Asian cuisine menu. Service was pretty nice and fast. Liked it so much.

Ignore the rebrand comments. Food is still great. Vegetarian options are fantastic. Recommend the lychee tea.

SushiYa used to be my favourite restaurant. They served one of the best ramens and laksa I've ever had (and I had many, as ramen is my favourite meal) it was very rich and most importantly vegetarian! Unfortunately, since the change of the owner/name the menu changed, and now the broth for laksa, ramen spicy base, kimchi ramen are all cooked with meat and I can't eat them anymore. I wish the old recipe came back!

We had two bento boxes and ramen, along with sweet potato tempura. The tempura was fried in the style of fish and chips, which was an interesting take but not quite what I was looking for. In the beef ramen, lots of the meat pieces had too much gristle and weren't the most palatable. That said the broth and noodles were pretty good. The fried foods in the bento boxes suffered from similar over frying. Food was quick to come out, but otherwise service was slow.

Amazing food. And service was very polite and efficient. I felt like I was in another place when I was here. Both dishes were delicious. I am definitely returning.

Popped into Rice Time for something to eat while out in Glasgow. The atmosphere was nice and relaxing with some piano music and the food was very good. I only ordered a starter with a side of rice and I was full. Service was suprisingly a little slow considering it was a quiet thursday night.

First lunch after arriving to Glasgow. Me and my wife ordered chicken pho and crispy duck with katso curry. We shared, but I ate most of the pho and chicken. The meat tasted a bit funny at first, but with all the condiments, I couldn’t be sure. We have both been feeling terribly since, especially me - nothing we eat stays for long. Avoid at all costs!

Stunning food, great atmosphere and very reasonably priced. The Romanian wine was Delish!

Great bowl of pho with very prompt and friendly service

I used to love this place before but it got so bad after the rebranding. We got the usual things, but the taste was not there. Crispy duck was soggy and few ingredients such as bok Choi. You can really tell that the chef is different now. Sushi were falling apart, we had dragon roll, not good, used to be my favorite. The other fried udon was pretty dry and favor was off.

Great service. I have been here with my big family really happy service . The food were delicious and the staff sp friendly. Definitely coming here again. 5 stars ⭐️⭐️❤️

Hi everyone I am asian, so you really want to take my opinion matter. I went to this place order starter and main dish It was kimchi soup and the beef udon curry. For the kimchi it was not too bad as the kimchi taste was strong so it was good. But for the beef curry udon. OMG it is really bad, I can say it was 2 out of 10. The beef was not fresh quality, it was smelly and the curry sauce was so little not more than 1 table spoon of sauce. Additionally, they add veggies but they put the veggies under the udon? So how are the cuatomers suppose to know there is veggies? It is not how you serve food and the taste was reallt awful

Not a patch on the previous owners (sushi ya always 5 * across the board). RT scrimping on quality and quantity. And well thus relatively well over priced. Pains me to say this but will not back.

Me and my partner have just been tonight and wow. This was the best sushi we’ve ever tasted. We couldn’t decide at first so the waitress was really helpful and told us her recommendation off what we said we liked most! Amazing! Highly recommend this place

My boyfriend and I went in for lunch, the server brought out sushi to another table, then proceeded to take it from that table and give it to us. Ewww asked them to remake as I don’t want food that another patron touched. They took it to kitchen and tried to give the same plate back to us. Yeah, no! After this we canceled the sushi, and went to pay for our other dish. They tried to rip us off for a tip of £5, without asking. This place is a total dive, just don’t go. If you want Japanese food, there is many better options in city centre. Really really bad!!!!!

What would have helped my experience be 5 star is if the menus were more reader friendly and be accessible to nuerodiverse and any other cognitive ability. It would be helpful if the menu was more organised with better visual aids. This would avoid stress when ordering as noone wants to eat while under stress. Also please include allergens on your menu or have a separate allergen menu again to reduce stress for customers when ordering. I also understand what was said in previous comments about the wasabi and ginger and it would be helpful if you could explain your policy to customers when they are ordering again to avoid stress of not receiving wasabi and ginger when the sushi comes out. I had a few delays in eating because I had to look for the waitress to repeatedly ask for it. You could ask up front if customers like it and then automatically take out and replenish their wasabi and ginger when it's running low and this will make for a much more enjoyable sushi experience because I have NEVER gone for sushi anywhere in the world and not had wasabi and ginger given with sushi. It was confusing and irritating to be honest and it's hard to say that I will be back. The waitress made a lot of effort so thank you for that.

I come here practically every week, they are so good! I seriously cannot stress enough how delicious everything is, from the sushi to the fried rice and noodles! The service is excellent as well. I definitely recommend giving them a try!

this restaurant always had a portion with ginger and wasabi, but... we were served without. we asked to bring wasabi and ginger, they brought us in a limited amount, I ask the owners to reconsider the serving of sushi, since ginger and wasabi are the main part of sushi.

Pretty good sushi! I was only in Glasgow for 1 night and I ordered via Uber eats. I got the katsu chicken curry and a few rolls. Overall quite good and filling. Only downside was they did not pack in utensils so I had to improvise in my hostel. But I do recommend!

Incredible food. Filling, tasty and for good price! When arriving the place seemed kitschy, and we were unsure, but we were pretty blown away as soon as we got food. The rice in my poke bowl was still warm and fluffy and the sushi was perfectly made. The salmon ramen was homely and the salmon itself was nicely grilled and still moist. I'll be coming back again!

Great lunch time stop. Salmon sushi was really fresh and the jellyfish starter delicious.

MINUS 1 STAR! First time ordering at Sushi Ya (Sushi Sensei on Uber eats) Placed order on New Year’s Eve through uber eats at 8:07 with eta of 25-35 min. Kept getting updates for delayed delivery time and drivers changed 3 times. After waiting over an hour we called restaurant and asked them to expedite order due to extremely long delay. Lady on phone said it would be ready in 5 min. Next update let us know order was picked up. Within a minute we received message that our order was canceled. Food might have been great, but we will never know… We will never order from this place again and warn others of their poor delivery service! TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE!!!!!!

Lovely and tasteful, fresh sushi.

We are just visiting Glasgow overnight for a gig- we dropped in without a reservation and we're greeted by a lovely lady. We didn't have to wait long at all for the food. The food was amazing and tasted great and came hot to the table. It is really well priced. We ordered a drink each, a bento box which was quite large, good amount of food in it, chicken gyoza and a chicken katsu curry with rice. Came to about £39. I definitely reccomend the place.

An amazing hidden gem. The sushi was phenomenal and the takoyaki was practically a religious experience. The restaurant has a lovely atmosphere - eating there felt comforting and relaxing. The service was flawless, and the prices are great. We will absolutely be coming back!

Excellent sushi restauraunt. If you're looking for traditional Japanese sushi in Glasgow, this is the place to try. Staff are so kind and welcoming. Food was 10/10, really tasty and reasonably priced. We had a lovely time and will be back!👏🌸

What a great find! Enjoyed their vegetable tempura and sweet potato maki that came in a bento set. We found the food to be satisfying, ambience of the place to be beautiful and cosy, and service fast and friendly. They had an extensive menu containing different types of sushi, fried rice, bentos, ramen, in addition to a wide range of sides! We have no choice but to return to try more dishes ◡̈

On our fist day of Glasgow, we pumped into this Japanese restaurant and ordered two bento boxes while we were hungry. Each came with 4 pieces of rolls and a very nice and warm miso soup. The food was tasty and satisfying. The waitresses are lovely and attentive.

Nice little place and friendly staff. I can only write a review for sushi, I have no idea about the other food. We had spicy tuna rolls which we didn't eat. The fresh tuna usually looks nice and pink, these were brown and looked old. Then we got dragon rolls and prawn tempura rolls. It all tasted like bad supermarket sushi. I am spoiled because I live in New York City and we have amazing sushi. This was barely edible. I would not go here for sushi ever. Maybe if you don't know good sushi then it would be fine.

Their takoyaki was decent (freshly made and not reheated like Japan Centre seem to be doing these days). The sushi was not good at all with the rice on the nigiri mashed together into one big clump. The seaweed on the maki was chewy as well. The ramen had some tender pieces of charsiu but the broth had absolutely no flavour and the noodles were very overcooked. The staff were polite and understanding and we didn't end up paying for the ramen. Would I go back? Probably not...

Best Japanese food in Glasgow! Delicious ramen and fresh sashimi! Sashimi is a must! There are various type you can choose. The spicy beef ramen was a WOW. Ramen noodles are on point! We had a wonderful family dinner.

Cosy Japanese eatery with friendly staff. Reasonably priced. The pork could be more tender but the broth was great. Considering it is in Glasgow and Asian food isn’t too easy to find, this is a great choice.

We had Ramen with pork and giozza, it was absolutely delicious, the Giozza was amazing, very recommended! Very good service as well. A great Japanese experience!

Amazing food, we ordered the Tuna & Salmon Poke Bowl, Gyula Teppanyaki Angus Sirloin Beef, Sashimi Moriawase and Japanese seaweed. All the dishes were amazing. Fresh, tasty, quick service and delicious. Would highly recommend this place.

Bento boxes are wonderful and a good deal for the price. Pretty big too. Takoyaki and tempura were also lovely. You get a lot for what you pay for and good quality too. Kind and attentive staff. I was surprised at how quiet it was. If you want a bento box, I would recommend here. It’s a very nicely priced meal. (Went on 12/05/22)

Had the beef ramen and I barely got through the bowl. There was so much!!! It was brilliant falvour and the decor was exiting. I accidently left my bag there. Coming back after 20 mins they had it safely tucked away for me. Brilliant service and worth a try if you're into japanese/Chinese/Korean food

Review of takeaway only… fast preparation and delivery, food was very fresh and authentic, huge selection on menu including more exotic items that the usual sushi places don’t do. Wish they didn’t serve octopus though as they should be protected. Can recommend the teriyaki and the gyozas, ramen is good too.

MINUS 5. Took ma girl out for New Years Eve meal. After arriving at 8pm, we left after 40minutes, took them 20mins for menus where we ordered drinks and starters with main course, waited another 20 minutes still with out drinks before we left. Strongly advise against using this place as they seemed more interested in just eat, uber, deliveroo orders being put out than customer service. Its a crying shame the world is like this in the 21st century

Soooo good !!! My Oknomiyaki starter and Chicken Yakiniku main were delicious. Possibly the best starter I've ever had. Brilliant service and really nice decor. Not expensive either. Definitely going back soon.
