We have had several take away meals from here over the last 6 months after being recommended by a friend. They have been fantastic, we used to live in Birmingham near the curry mile in Lye and have enjoyed some great curries over the years, but we have to say that the chicken tikka masala and the chicken tikka madras are just the best. Only half hour wait but definitely worth it and free delivery. So glad we chose them.

Have been a regular customer of Rice and spice and food has generally always been good, however last two times of ordering the food has been a 2 and a half hour wait time instead of the 1 hour stated upon ordering. For that reason we will not order again which is a shame as food has always been good but not a way to run a business. Will order from elsewhere, there are other good Indian takeaways in the area that will get my business

The currys are OK but for too many onions, the garlic nans and rice are very good. Would use again if they cut back on onions!!

Firstly, we ordered the home delivery, when we unpacked it we were a side salad missing and garlics mushrooms. I called them and they were really unhelpful. Ok our starters without the side salad was horrible, we had the chicken and lamb tikka no taste at all and the lamb was just so tough…..the main tbh was just ok…I chose this due to the reviews but it was very disappointing. I have had a lot of Indian takeaways but this is the worst one I ever had….WOULD NOT RECOMMEND

My wife and I have been regular customers of Ash’s Indian takeaway premises. Initially this was the Shapla in Boston and more recently the Rice & Spice, Wide Bargate. Boston. I have supported Ash for over 30years and I will continue to do so for as long as I can. I was first introduced to Indian food in the 70’s and have been an addict ever since. I have eaten Indian dishes all over the world and I can only describe Ash’s food as being at the very top. He has clear trained his chefs to cook to his excellent standards. Derek & Sue

Food delivered after 1 hour of ordering and only one meal arrived ( 2 x ordered) Second time in succession items missing. Food is good, service very poor and overcharged this time. Maybe charging extra for fuel used for second trip. Sorry, but won't be going back after being regulars.

Ash prepared something different for me tonight, I usually leave it up to him what I get as I've used him for many, many years and he knows my particular tastes. The fish curry was absolutely superb. It may not be on his normal menu but if customers talk to him he will prepare authentic dishes which are by far well above the standard you can get anywhere else. Having partaken of "indian" cuisine all over the country I consider myself very fortunate to have such a wonderful establishment here in Boston

Staying locally, in need of dinner in our room, This was a real find. OK so they only take cash, but the ATM was close, and their TAX is between them and HMRC. The food was really lovely. The lady taking the order was delightful, and the food (and the spare trays and fork) was just brilliant. This is the sort of place that needs to keep going and to be supported. Well done and thank you.

Very good quality takeaway, we had king prawn tikka stir fry and special balti mix and pilau rice, good portion size nicely cooked and seaoned, and good chunks of lamb, recommended

We looked at local options tonight as our preferred Indian in Kirton was closed. Whilst it first appeared quite expensive, the quality of the food was excellent and I would thoroughly recommend.

The owner has been serving the town for over 25 years .I have only been a curry fan for a short time .The food he delivers is absolutely fantastic and never disappoints .Great value for money .Well done and heres to another 25 years .

Wow Wow WowWe had this take away for our wedding meal it catered for 22+ the food was amazing very very tasty. It arrived on time, everything was delicious and Ash gave us some extras. Highly recommend this restaurant the service and value for your money is brilliant. Thank you to Rice and Spice Staff for such good and friendly service. It made our wedding. Go on what are you waiting for call them for and take away and try you will not be disappointed.

Nothing not to like about this - I can be a fussy eater and always ask for 'no onions' in my curry and rice dishes which is no problem for these guys, they have never let us down. The Balti is my favourite dish - delicious and NOT swimming in grease like some takeaways are.

No frills, takeaway/home delivery only, cash only, but 5-star hygiene rating, and delicious food! Recommended! 😀👍 Six of us, aged from 11 to 101(!) years old, and we all enjoyed the food.

Has deliveries no over half a dozen times. Rice Very Reasonable £14:5 for Starter, Main, Side, Rice and Naan delivered to your door!!! Always tastes the same no ridiculous difference in heat or since....Consistently Very Good!!

Never had any food from here So when I ordered 2 banquets on Saturday I was really pleased with what was delivered,The food was excellent from the poppadoms through to the curry’s The special was excellent and I will definitely be ordering again very soon

If you live on the north-eastern side of Boston then Rice and Spice offers the most convenient source of a curry takeaway. Really tasty food and an excellent selection, with very friendly staff. The only downside is that their most recent menu doesn’t mention the 10% NHS discount that they used to offer.

Only discovered Rice and Spice 3 weeks ago but after 2 visits have to say the food is fantastic, definitely my regular go to take away now for the future. Food was hot, fresh and tasted out of this world. Keep up the good work guys, one very happy customer here.

i note the number of positive reviews about this takeaway but my review of the Chicken Balti is less then positive. The chicken had the consistency of Lamb and tasted like cheap processed chicken, which I am fairly sure it was. The Cauliflower baji was ok but again not as good as I have tasted elsewhere locally. Pretty poor and there are better local options in my opinion. Off to make a toasted sandwich to get rid of the awful taste.

Ordered the day before for a New Years Eve meal, despite that the meal was over 30 minutes late and cold. My wife's main course was nothing like we ordered, my biryani had no veg curry and my naan was plain not spicy. I have used them regularly in the past but won't again. I would not reccomend them.

A great takeawy doing good authentic dishes at very reasonable prices, the banquet menu is excellent value and their delivery service is usually quick and efficient..highly recommended

Had takeaway for first time from here and was not disappointed.Great tasting Indian I had the chicken jalfrezi my mum had a prawn corma.You will not be disappointed well worth a shot.

Had a take away the other night, orderer similar things to what we would usually have at other Indian take aways, starters were bland, onion Bhaji over cooked, king prawn dish had 3 prawns in it, garlic rice tasted like normal rice and the main, rogan josh, was mainly onions and tomatoes, no sauce! Also asked for NHS discount as menu says they give it but I'm sure it wasn't applied but couldn't check as no receipt given. Had terrible D&V for the next 2 days, can't prove it was from here but can't think of where else it could be from, it's safe to say I won't be returning!

Excelente opción para pedir comida a domicilio. Es más sana que otros sitios. Tiene categoría 5 en higiene por UK. O sea el máximo. Las patatas con espinacas para repetir. Cuidado con el picante.

Simplemente comido un entrega y fue absolutamente fabuloso. Envoltura tandoori Dios mío debes probar este, dulces y sabrosos. No puedo esperar hasta que tienen otra.

I have been a customer for Ash over 10 years now, I buy regularly spinach patatos and Chicken Tikka naan in wrap.They know the understanding of food and happy to assist me to my taste buds. I recommend you try Taka Dal and Chicken tikka in Naan Wrap. Well thats for one person.

First visit to rice & spice and couldn't fault it. After a lengthy discussion on where to eat we decided to try something new. Turning up at Rice & Spice we didn't know what to expect, and went for the fuss free option of the set meal for two. When we got our takeaway home I soon realised what great value our meals were. From the meaty lamb and chicken curries, to tandoori chicken cooked to perfection... We were also spoilt for choice with two rice options, naan AND poppadoms! A fantastic takeaway, full of flavour and one that we will definitely choose again! Thank you for a truly sublime takeaway for a lazy Saturday night!

Tried a lot of the curries and all been great. Try Ash's special green curry it's awesome. I would rather get a take away from rice and spice than go to a sit down restaurant in town any day.

We have regularly used this takeaway and the food has been consistently very good. The delivery staff are polite and when you place your order the staff are very accommodating to your personal taste.Well worth a try, you won't be disappointed.

Only a take away but Beautifully cooked tasty food.Probably the best we have had since we returned from India, really friendly and really keen to please.If your palate is delicate take the owners advice, he really knows his trade.

Recently ordered from Rice and Spice and I have to say it was an absolutely outstanding meal. By far the best Indian takeaway I've had in the local area. The owner, Ash, took our order and he was extremely helpful in talking us through the various dishes. Also on a side note the owners son Abdul is very handsome young man and iI'd let him come and cook personally for me anyday!

We have used Rice and Spice several times and have not been disappointed, the food has been very good, delivered on time and piping hot. We class it as one of the best Indians in town.

We've had quite a few takeaways from here over the last year and all have been great. Deliveries are quick and the food nice and hot when it arrives not to mention delicious. Great value for money, especially the banquet.

We have had many deliveries from here during this year. We have tried various dishes and the quality and consistency has always been spot-on. The delivery guy (and ladies) have been efficient and courteous.

I eat Indian food all over the Uk on a regular basis. This guy is fantastic. Different meals actually taste different.

with reference to the review by leslie if this person had taken time to ask they would have known that rice and spice opens at 4.30 pm on a friday and saturday but dont start deliverys till 5.30 pm ...they rang there order in at 4.15 pm way to early .so they got there meal spot on ....another fast delivery by rice and spice drivers ..some people write reviews without knowing the true facts .rice and spice is the best takeaway i have used and will carry on using them .. great staff and excellent drivers ...

no food delivered after 1 hour so I phoned to see what had happened,the owner told me it would be with me in 5 minutes but 40 minutes later we were having to cook for ourselves. I would never use rice and spice again.

Having used most if not all the Indian takeaways in Boston over the years Rice and Spice is definatly one of the best , in fact I would go as far as saying it is the best . I've always had excellent service and the quality of the food is exeptional , I have tried most of the dishes on the menu and can assure everyone that were they to try any of them they would not be dissapointed in fact I am posotive they would become regular customers . I can only assume the reviewer " Payntes " got Rice and Spice mixed up with another takeaway when writing their review as what they describe bears no resemblence to what I can only describe as " the best takeaway in Boston ".

I do not normally contribute to these sites but having just read the review by Payntes I felt that somebody had to give an alternative opinionI have used this takeaway ever since it opened (and before that when the proprietor ran his previous establishment in the town) and consider that since I have sampled the food on a regular basis (usually every week) for over 10 years I am probably more qualified to comment that someone who has only visited onceThe food is always of an excellent quality and the dishes on the menu offer a complete range of different styles & tastes. The chef is more than willing to provide special dishes that are not on the menu to meet individual tastes, and on several occasions has prepared "authentic" dishes that he himself would eat back in his native BangladeshI always have lamb and have never ever found it to be anything other than "real" I really hope that other people are not put off by what Payntes has written as I would thoroughly recommend Rice & Spice - and I shall definitely be going back again this Friday for my weekly fixJOHN S
