Rice Bowl Chinese Takeaway in Cannock Chase

I've been using the Rice Bowl since 2008 when it was China Garden Express. It's has been consistently good every time. Staff are so friendly and make an effort to learn your name.

Food Hygiene Rating of Zero. Major improvements needed. Won't be ordering from here again. No wonder I had upset tummy.

Ordered from here for the first time as are usual is closed on a Monday, we defo will be using rice bowl again it was delicious, and the delivery was speedy, the only thing that annoyed me was on my part , I didn't have change to tip the driver, defo will next time, 🙂

Absolute Taste Sensation! Everything cooked perfectly Al Dente, nicest Chinese I've had in years. Nice staff too,quick service and reasonable prices, I highly recommend a visit. Our dishes were... king prawn chop suey and House Special Fu Yung. Hats off to the chefs 🥳👍🏻

Excellent takeaway, phone answered quickly (which was better than other rivals who made me wait ) and the service is very friendly. Food was lovely.

Without doubt our favourite takeaway in the area. Food is great and fresh and if I could give Carol and the team 6 stars, I would. Always friendly and welcoming. Brilliant!

This is the best Chinese we have had after trying a few in cannock, we collected 20min after ordering, friendly staff and great food

First time and the last! Worst Chinese food I've ever eaten. Re heated soggy greasy food rice rock hard even the prawn crackers were stale 🤣🤢

Had a takeaway from here tonight, terrible meal, ordered chicken chow mein and the chicken was all under fillet and slimy, probably reconstituted!! Also ordered bbq sauce it was just like red water with no taste, chips were rock hard. We ordered it at 17:40 so wasn’t first order or the last one of the day, Will not be going there again.😡😡

Just a take away so atmosphere not relevant. Food was OK. I'd get food from there again in the future

Haven't had a takeaway from here for about 12months but I really enjoyed the food it was tasty and really hot when I got it home

First time trying here and was impressed with service, time of cooking and taste of food. Had chicken and beef curry and salt and pepper chips and I was very pleased. Since moving to cannock we have tried a few Chinese takeaways and this is now the best. Ordered again tonight for 6 of us and everyone totally agreed that it's been the best for a while and maybe in the area. Priced reasonably good too. Top marks

This is the worst Chinese I’ve had the BBQ spareribs sauce looked like gravy and the whole food was cold and tasted vile I would never go there again.

Love the food there it’s really tasty friends staff the food is reasonably priced you get a lot for your money. They don’t charge much to deliver unlike others in the area we will be going here from now on

Terrible food. Ordered takeaway, only took 15mins but it was absolutely awful. Duck in plum, chow mein and the mixed starter. Just gross. Not sure how this is above 4 stars on Google. Sort yourselves out cannock... stop rating Chinese on how well they can do a 3in1 mix!

I have no idea why this place has such a good rating. In My experience the service was very good the food however was the complete opposite. I have been there twice now. The first time was a few years ago and the food was awful. I left it for quite some time before visiting again. This time I ordered BBQ spare ribs and they were so tough that I ended up putting those in the Bin too, and then went to the supermarket where they were not only cheaper but were tender and tasted good. I will not be giving rice bowl a third attempt to dissapoint me!

The best meal I have had in months from a Chinese takeaway in the CANNOCK area. The Rice Bowl staff are polite and the place is clean they have not seen the last of us.

Just ordered and not impressed at all. The egg fried rice is tasteless, chips undercooked, spring rolls soggy, and chow mein again lacking flavour and chicken balls we're quite nice. Wouldn't mind so much if it was cheaper but was £22 for 5 items.

Been here many times and never had a bad Chinese. Would recommend to all friends and family. Best around the area and portions are very good size

Avoid Horrible food nothings fresh I ordered a mixed meat curry no shell fish in the curry but somehow had some kind of large sharp broken shell in the meal. Stopped using this place years ago drivers acted very strange and unprofessional. And how they park on double yellow lines when there's a car park 30 second walk away shows there mentality. I'm surprised this place is still open I don't know any body that would go near this place these days.

Disgusting food, chow mein was probably the worst I've ever had! Had one mouth full and threw it straight in the bin Chips were old and stale and I'm pretty sure we found a maggot in our food. Definitely won't be going back

The food was lovely all the time when I first started using this place, once they saw I became a regular the food was rushed and under cooked every time.

Chinese Take Out in the area are plentiful but the quality is questionable. First visit here and the staff were helpful as I have a dairy allergy, price is reasonable and quality is excellent. Down side I will be eating more Chinese so diet is out the window. Definately visit here the food is well worth the trip.

Great service again and lovley food. I have trouble with takeaways as im gluten intolerant but the lady was very helpful, they also have a alergy menu which is great.

As per normal the food,service and time waiting for food was totally exemplary, polite staff food utterly great and food preparation was speedy and well cooked.

Asked for no oil in my chow mein as I'm a member of slimming world. They couldn't have been more helpful. Food was gorgeous and oil free.

Foods great, service is great, the idiots who insist on blocking the path however are not great. The photos that will get uploaded will show how to just bypass the law and park on double yellow lines while forcing pedestrians to walk on the road and blocking line of sight for lawful road users.Or maybe they will start using the carpark ten meters away, this parking issue is caused by the delivery drivers who really bring this establishment down. And why does the management allow its own delivery drivers to do this?

HORRIBLE!!! had chicken chow mein and it had no sauce in it at all and was basically boiled noodles and boiled chicken that tasted like rubber. Never again and would not suggest to anyone!! Had both me and my friend throwing up

Been coming here for over 10 years. Constantly good food and of a high quality. Portions very generous.

I've been using this Chinese for 4 years and always good. Untill the last time I ordered again a day it was horrid, I rang up and gave them feed back and the lady knows me she said sorry, but never offered a replacement or help towards next time I was in.. Unfortunately I am know using pye Green Garden.. Just a little curtsy to keep hold of long standing customer
