RICE BOWL in Cannock Chase

I ordered some vegetarian dishes and the house specials. the specialty turned out to be inedible. shrimp undercooked dry meat that looked like it was cooked 2 days ago. I returned the dish. The lady asked what she could do. I asked for plain egg fried rice instead and I don't want my money back. the lazy chef didn't even stand next to the wok and after a second he brought me a portion of rice poured with soy. When I told this is not egg fried rice it became rude. I’ll never come back here. The rest of the food was also inedible. sour and you can see that the vegetables are not fresh. i want to scream

This is the best Chinese fast food place in Cannock!! Great menu, great staff and fast!!! Recommend the Beef Chow Mein!!

Last night (Good Friday) ordered from here for the first time ever. Order sensibly priced including delivery which was within 30 minutes. All hot and extremely flavoursome, strongly recommended. We (wife and me) in last year have had some awful home food deliveries, strongly this was a pleasure from order to last mouthful.

I have always rated the rice bowl highly as love their food however getting your order delivered correctly , you have more chance of winning the lottery . Crispy beef should be renamed rubber beef. Sadly looks like a great take away is going down hill.

Lovely! Used to come here years ago and it went down hill but thought we would give it another try. It was lovely! Will be coming back again and using this as our new regular. Already used since and it’s been lovely.

A very disappointing meal, tried the rice bowl but most of the meal went in the bin, a hair in one of the meals, sauce really really salty and even pieces of pineapple was stale. I will not be using them again🙁

So, before I use somewhere new I always check the reviews. I read that the Rice Bowl was the best in Cannock, someone else said they’d had over 50 meals from here. I spent £26 on salt and pepper spare ribs which were OK. The blandest special chow mein I had ever tasted, it was covered in some kind of thick jelly sauce although I’d asked for no sauce. The crispy chicken was rubber like in texture. I’m sorry to say this was the most tasteless Chinese takeaway I have ever tasted. Possibly NOT the best takeaway in Cannock after all. No idea how the reviews could be so good for such bad food. STAY AWAY

We've been regular customers for years now and we have never had a bad meal or issues with the services on the contrary. Food always tasty and hot when it gets here. The lady on the phone always recognises me and even remember if we asked for something slightly different than on the menu. Would highly recommend.

I drive from Brownhills to buy from here as the food is So good. I’m very fussy and the staff are always accommodating. I also like that the kitchen is open so you can see the food being prepared. It’s five stars from me!

Don’t bother getting it delivered, nearly 2 hours late. 3 times we called and each time it’s out with the driver. It’s gonna be stone cold when it finally arrives. I’d be quicker actually going to China to pick it up.

I LOVE chinese and after moving out of Wolverhampton I could not find anywhere that was anywhere near as good as my old local. Until I found the rice bowl. This place is so good I actually drive 30 mins to collect as I live too far away for their delivery. The ingredients, including the meat is top quality, and they are super efficient. Staff are also excellent. Wish they had a restaurant. Kung PO Special, Salt and pepper prawns, egg fried rice, sweet and sour sauce, your welcome. Whatever you order will be top notch.

After moving from wolverhampton we were struggling to find a local Chinese that lived up to our old one... we were recommended here and were not disappointed! We will definitely use regularly.. just wish there was a menu online since every time my partner comes back he's forgotten to grab a menu so I always end up ordering the same thing! Not sat in yet, only ever had takeaway twice but both times very good!

My friend recommended here to me I was dubious as last time I used here it was china garden and the food was shocking however given it had a name change I gave it a whirl. I ordered the special curry egg fried rice chips and sweet and sour chicken balls. Delivery was prompt and the food was very hot and fresh. The curry had plenty of meat onions and mushrooms in and was very appetising. The chicken balls were some of the best Iv tasted in surrounding area. What I also really like about here is the value for money, Iv found Chinese take away has been getting more and more pricy in recent times but rice bowl offers fantastic food and reasonable prices. Keep up the good work I will back and will recommend you

we went here and ordered two meals a king prawn in a savoury sauce and a chicken in a savoury sauce it was tasteless the sauce had no taste at all very disappointed

Good food! Its dead quick ordered and food was cooked very quick and very nice good portions! Prawn crakers are very nice & spring rolls are well nice!!

Our order was delivered quick and was all red hot. We all really enjoyed our food. Got to say the crispy duck pancakes and the ribs were fantastic....intact the best we have had in the local area. Finally enjoyed a Chinese from a local takeaway

We always used to go here when it was China garden express and had a bad few meals so did not even notice it had changed hands. Tried it again and it was lovely! Food was very hot and tasty! Delivery was quicker than we expected! Shall go again!

We had a meal delivered last week for the first time and we were all very impressed how quickly it came, with free bag of Prawn Crackers and some Chinese Fortune Cookies.

Great little chinese take away. The lady on the front taking your orders is so nice and friendly. The food is always hot and tasty.

We have used this Chinese Takeaway for a number of years (before it was called the China Garden). As a customer I suffer from a severe peanut allergy which the restaurant has always been aware of. We ordered Saturday night a Yuk Sung which after one mouthful I had a severe reaction to! We have had this dish numerous times before but in this occasion they decided to put PEANUTS in it!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We have eaten from here a few times and have never had a bad meal. I always go in and order the food and wait while it is cooking, it has never taken longer than 15 minutes. Staff are always very friendly and always happy to recommend dishes.

We ate from here a while ago and it was very good, but today was not great. The chips weren't very well cooked and some of the other food was quite dry. Disappointing.

Quite nice food, good portions, good value, very helpful and polite staff. Way too heavy on the salt. Needed to down sooo much water with my meal. Will give it another go though.

Excellent takeaway. Food always delivered hot and quickly. No had a bad meal and have tried a good variation. I asked advice as on a low fat diet and was told what was best for me, and also to ask if I didn't want too much fat adding during cooking process. They take cards by phone. You do have to pay a small delivery charge.
