Pearl City in Cannock Chase

Pearl City is a Decent Chinese haven't had to much on the menu. Special Curry nice give you enough meat. charge extra for mushrooms.also had chicken Chow mein again decent amount of chicken but to dry. I would also give the chips a miss oven chips put into fryer. Bbq chicken wings were nice. Should be more in the portion for the price.but it's clean an overall good Chinese for Cannock.

Excellent customer service. Food is very nice and prices and also good. We use 1 a week.

I walked 40 minutes to this Chinese and got home with the wrong order. Chips were dry and I didn’t get any curry sauce, instead got sweet and sour sauce.

Part of delivery was missing. Phoned but had no joy in getting my son’s meal delivered.

Have used this Chinese for 15 years at least....ordered I er phone as always ...told 45 mins to one hour... nearly two hours later it arrived... ordered chicken chow mein and chicken omelette...chow mein was just noodles and processed chicken... omelette was mainly onions....tasteless...won't be ordering again as this has happened the last few times .seems obvious from other reviews that online order take priority over telephone

Order took 2 hours and 20 minutes to arrive, big fan of spicy food but the Singapore chow mein was ridiculously hot so we couldn't even eat it! Curry was bland and packed with onions. Not the best

Started using as our go to and nothing has disappointed so far! Food is so tasty but the most important thing is that it’s always fresh and piping hot. Prices are also very reasonable. Not had anything better!

Just had chicken curry boiled rice the curry had no taste so rang up and they gave me a free chicken curry boiled and again it was not like a curry very weak taste didn't taste like curry I want be having another one from there

Had beef, king prawn and mushroom curry, beef and King prawns were good but the curry sauce was really bad, no better than coloured water, no flavour really pale and like I said like water, you expect curry sauce to coat the meat , not this sauce just a pool of thin watery substance on the plate!!

Food was so tasty and such a generous portion, will definitely going back!! The share boxes are such a great idea for groups/couples/families

Where do I start? Our food ended up in the bin as it was so awful, it was inedible. The 'crispy beef' was certainly crispy. However, it had obviously been cooked at least the day before, then put in the box with the raw veg, and then they forgot to cook it in the sauce. So we had cold, raw, beige beef strips in rock hard batter, served with raw onion, carrot and peppers. The chicken curry was spongey, processed chicken. Again, inedible. When I contacted Pearl City, they told me that their chicken is not processed. This is a lie, I know real chicken from processed. They didn't even address the fact that the beef dish was sent out as raw ingredients. My advice is to avoid this place at all costs!

We ordered a takeaway having read favourable reviews on here....oh dear! My wife had a Singapore vermicelli which she enjoyed I ordered a special curry with boiled rice, it arrived with no rice...a good start...no point phoning up to complain as by the time rice would have arrived the curry would have been cold....no problem ice always got rice in the freezer so I sorted my own Then I got down to eating my curry, it looked good with plenty of meat but it tasted of absolutely nothing, no curry flavour and no spice, absolutely tasteless. Very disappointed and will not be ordering again

Wanted to just leave a review. We have just had chicken chow mein chips curry barbecue sauce and crispy seaweed. Absolutely beautiful food was piping hot.everything was cooked perfectly and very tasty. We have had a few from here now.this is definitely our number 1 place now. Beautiful food.thank you.

We have had 3 takeaways from pearl city and they have all been fantastic. I asked for my sweet and sour sauce to be a little thicker in consistency and they did this for me. Pearl city was recommended to me by a friend. I decided to try it out as our usual Chinese let us down a couple of times. Thank you Pearl City for your delicious food.

I use this chinese once every 2 weeks and they are brilliant. I always collect and food is ready quickly. Never had to wait. 100% recommended.

Ordered for the first time tonight for collection and food was ready within 15 mins, the food was delicious topped off with a beautiful & elegant curry sauce .this is by far the best Chinese in cannock. Will be returning, thank you

Food was soggy and stale just reheated in a microwave , made me and my partner sick £31 to be given stale food disgusting

I ordered food yesterday and within 3 hours I was on the toilet.. then at 3am the vomiting started and this continued through the night. I contacted pearl City and they denied it could be the food and said it was something else I had eaten. They said they had no other complaints ( how do I know ?) and that customers have apologised for accusing them before (again hesrsay) three times I asked them if the food would be OK for my mom to eat and I was fobbed off and not given a direct yes or no. They instead asked me why I would give the food to my mother if it made me ill?? Totally missing the point !!! I have had food many times from them but after the poor customer service and blatant vague replies I will take my business elsewhere.. that's if I can face another Chinese after this !!

We ordered a Big Daddy Box and a few extras on the 30th December, for a family gathering on New Years Eve. Food was ready and waiting as arranged, lovely and hot and absolutely delicious. Thank You Pearl City. I was also lucky enough to win the weekly competition for the "People's Choice" box in early February. Made arrangements for it on Sunday two weeks later, collected when arranged and was excellent. Again, Thank you Pearl City.

What has gone wrong i have used pearl city for quite a while and tonight they were really late and the food was not so good will be looking for a new takeaway from now on.

Ordered our food and told by the app we would have to wait 2 hours. Only found this information out after placing our order. 2 hours passed and still no food!!! We called the restaurant to be told it would be an extra 30 minutes with a plethora of excuses but not an explanation as to why we weren't updated as to any further delays to our order. App deleted and will not be ordering again!!

The worst Chinese I have ever had. Curry was like eating old warmed up slop. The chow mein was just full of grease absolute waste of money. The premises was also full of fruit flies and fly poo all over the plastic screen around the counter (I should of cancelled my order as soon as I seen this) definitely will not be returning.

Best Chinese in cannock hands down

The best chinese takeaway I've been to in the local area. Ordered and paid online for collection and the food was ready with 20 minutes of ordering. Food was hot, fresh and tasty. I will definitely being using this place again.

Delivery was quick with a polite lady delivering, had a card machine which was convenient. Chicken curry and chips was lovely, but would have liked the curry sauce slightly more flavoursome/spicy. Good price, will order again.

Always a winner in our house. Amazing food!

I've used pearl city many times with no issues but never again after tonight. After 2 hours I rang to see where the food was and was told another half hour and I could have a free bottle of coke. Another hour I rang again & it still hadn't been cooked. I asked to cancel but was basically bullied into taking it free of charge. 20mins later what arrived was missing half of what we'd ordered & it was so late we both had terrible indigestion! Maybe they're a victim of their own success. But don't take orders if you can't fulfil them!

First of all the app say the food will be 75 minutes then you call chasing 80 minutes later only to be told they haven’t started to cook it yet. Then you ask why they didn’t let you know they couldn’t keep the 75 minutes to get told they are really busy and if they had let everyone know that they are behind then they would have any customer

I've been a customer of Pearl City, Hednesford/Cannock for a while now and they have never failed to deliver scrumptious food nice and hot too. In my opinion they are the best in the area 5*

Sweet & Sour chicken balls were lovely but chips left a lot to be desired

Tried ordering on line through their own website, easy and straight forward and you can pick a time for collection or delivery. I chose collection in 20 minutes. Received a confirmation by email. Arrived 20 minutes after ordering, food was ready and piping hot. Friendly staff, parking outside. Food was very good and plentiful. Would visit again.

Used to be a great Chinese, but the last few times have been dreadful! Odd tasting chicken and old tasting food. We use China dragon now so much better.

We stopped going to Jade Garden in Cannock after bad meals and so we tried Pearl City, the food is always hot, tasty and great portions. Pearl City is now our regular Chinese takeaway.

We use this Chinese regularly, despite having one closer to us. Never had a bad experience with them, food is always on point and we are never kept waiting too long. Recommend here to everyone, fantastic!

My wife and I shared chicken chow mien and fried rice, both were bland, greasy and tasteless we tried to use soy source at home to improve the flavour to no avail. We definitely will not be returning under any circumstances.

Food was gorgeous first time we've ordered from here, only one small disappointment was its the only Chinese weve ordered from that didnt send complimentary prawn crackers with the order, so be aware but lesson learnt we will add them to the order next time as we will definitely order again thank you .

I have only just recently started using Pearl City, wish I had used these years ago !!! I have now found the best Chinese in the local area, shame it’s taken me years...

Great food and delivery was quick.

My partner ordered a meal from this takeaway/restaurant. She has a very server nut allergy which she mentioned when placing the order. She spoke to the chief who went through the order talking her through what items included what. On this discussion they confirmed that everything was all ok. However when we went to collect the order. We were told that all of the food was cooked using an oil that contains CASHEW NUTS. What a way to encourage custom. Then after they told us this we had to cancel the order. Upon which the takeaway owners kicked up a fuss. If my partner would have eaten any of the food they produced she would have gone into anaphylactic shock which could have KILLED her. If any one has a nut allergy avoid this place at all costs!!!!!!!

This takeaway isnt my local but wanted to try others i opted for their "big daddy" 16inch pizza box combo which i shared with my family and neighbour and i must say that my experience from start to finish was outstanding.From the moment i dialled the number (once i got through, but a busy phone line is a good sign) to the collection and then the meal. Staff are very friendly, polite and very helpful they advised me on my collection time which was spot on. Our food was piping hot and well presented and was cooked to a high standard making it absolutely delicious. Overall very pleasant experience and would recommend to anyone looking for a good quality takeaway with top notch food

Can't give less than one star ,it won't let me. £ 16 .fried rice sodden wet ,chips soggy and horrible, barbecue sauce thin and insipid. Only ordered from here cause lychee valley was closed. If you want a nice meal go there, you might have to wait a bit but it knocks pearl city out the park.
