Lotus House in Cannock Chase

I wouldn't even give them 1 star. Disgusting customer service. Do not orderba delivery. Ordered at 17.17 hrs told delivery time would be 45-mins to 1 hour. Chased delivery at 1 hour to be told driver be here soon. Still no delivery at 19.02 hrs so I cancelled the order. No apology. Never ordering anything from them again

Good Chinese takeaway in Rugely. Worth noting they only take cash so if you're thinking of paying by card that won't happen. Food is good.

DON'T NOT EAT HER!!! Food over 35min late came cold! They also forgufood from our order. Wouldn't answer the phone so used foodhubs chat to contact. Said they would deliver the missing food and over 1.5hrs later and still nothing. Would not give part refund and did not complete order !!! Second bad expywith these guys! Don't bother waste of money food wasn't brilliant either and cold 🥶

Just had delivery, food bloody awfull my dog even turned nose up!! Price quoted over the phone wasn't correct on delivery, wish I hadn't scrabbled round for the extra money and then they would of took it back!! Bland and slimey and beef pieces still had all the fat on !!!!!

We've ordered here several times, however, it appears to be under NEW management. The elderly Chinese couple are no longer there. We used the website menu to order over the phone. The lady said menu not updated yet 🤔 Ordered ➡️ Prawn toast Soggy, chewy, pasty and TASTELESS! Accompanied by a slimy,, orange jelly🙄 ➡️ Shrimp chow mein This consisted of big fat rubbery noodles, ZERO beansprouts and a few onions... Dreadful taste and texture! ➡️ Beef fried rice The beef was tender. The rice was stuck together, tasteless and dry, chewy! £18 THERE WERE NO PRAWN CRACKERS TO BE FOUND🙄 First time under 🆕 management. LAST TIME FOR US!!

Food was preordered for a set time and was still 40 mins late. The rib sauce had leaked over everything. The food was cold. The ribs were poor quality. The king prawns were slimy. The chips were soft. The rice was stodgy and the fritters so soggy we couldnt eat them. £50 on a treat meal and I feel absolutely robbed. As it was so late, didn't even bother calling them back as they were due to close. Needless to say we will never use this Chinese again!!! Delivery driver was very pleasant though!

I have ordered 2nd day in a row 1st nught I had the tye green curry 🍛 hands down beats any curry I have ever tried so 2nd night I orderd the tye red curry again hands down I highly recommend this to any curry lover 👌 🙌 I will be ordering again 100%

Nobody told us they are not use the same recipes. Our order was poor, cooked diced chicken and obviously microwawed not stir fried. Only greenpepper and onion in it. Pictures taken

First time ordering from here had no cash on me so used the foodhub app last time ill be ordering from here beef curry was overflowing with onions and next to no beef but my biggest grievance is the big long black hair found in my salt and pepper chicken clearly this place do not wear hair nets discusted put the whole order in the bin

First time we have been to Lotus as we visited our son, thank you we really enjoyed the food. Tasty, not too much salt and nicely chopped veg. Would recommend 👍

Been 2 times 2nd time they got the order completely wrong. Don't want to be a Karen. Will try them one more time

First (and last) time ordering tonight.. 2 mains, 1 rice and 1 salt and pepper chips. Partner collected our food however when he got home realized they’d forgotten the salt and pepper chips we ordered (didn’t think we’d have to worry about checking such a small order) phoned back up and they said to come and collect them. Partner went back out and when he collected the chips they gave us plain chips and said they’d only charged us for them even though I ordered salt and pepper. He didn’t have any cash on him to pay the extra. Food was pretty average too. Just poor service all round!

Best Chinese food I have had in a long time.There are around eight Chinese Restaurants and Take Away that I know to within a ten mile radius. Some are ok some are shocking. Never had food from Lotus House although have passed it frequently. First time tonight I collected a meal for two.Food was exceptional and great value.

Very efficient with how busy they were taking orders. Food was lovely as always 😊😊😊

Great food, always high quality, never given me a dodgy tummy like some other Chinese restaurants can. Must be the particular oil used. The salt and pepper chips are a particularly great choice.

The Szechuan chicken, and many other of their dishes are very appetising and tasty, and people are very friendly.

Used them a few times but it was inconsistant and at best just ok.1st time was ok but they missed bits off the order.2nd time they remembered and repaid us what they missed the 1st time(which was nice) but the crispy beef was chewy.Now, we just had absolutely the most awful house special fried rice ever, It tasted like chicken soup but even more bland. It has become apparent that not all Chinese people can cook chinese food

Massively recommend! Me and my partner will now only order Chinese from here due to it being so good for its money! Food always taste amazing with large quantities but brilliant quality and not bad for price either, staff are also very friendly which you don’t always get in other places. Definitely the best Chinese takeaway in rugeley.

Saturday night fancied a change, we decided to give lotus house a try as we had heard people recommend it.Round about 30 minutes of waiting as was rammed but we waited.So glad we did, food was excellent and tasted brilliant.My children had 3 in 1's but unfortunately weren't used to proper curry on the chips and rice and although a little hotter, still ate the lot (followed by killing off the squash after).I would well recommend but be aware that it is cash only and no home delivery.I would seriously suggest that the run round will be worth it.

Was so looking forward to lotus house being my new Chinese take away. I ordered a special curry but it was so plain and boring. Will try here again but must say I was slightly disappointed :-(

We've just moved here so went for the best rated on trip advisor and it's clear why it's got such a good rating. The food is excellent and the portions are generous. Not sure we'll bother trying anywhere else.

Peter and Christine run this very impressive Chinese takeaway (Christine is largely "front of house" and you can see Peter through a glass screen working hard to produce some of the best takeaway food we have ever had.

Six months on and food still as good, still fast cooking times. Prices have gone up slightly and still no delivery available. Easily best Chinese in Rugeley by a long shot. Well done Pete

Pete from Peters kitchen is out of retirement and is back!! Food was great, and LOTS of it. Not the cheapest in Rugeley but quality by far the best. No delivery as of yet. Hopefully soon

First visit tonight. I'm normally a just eat kinda person but this being the only one open a Monday thought I'd try it out. All the food was very nice and warm the portion sizes were large and all requests for items to be left out were met. Shame they don't deliver. Excellent will be returning.

Recently discoverd that Pete and family is back serving the people of Rugeley with the best Chinese and Cantonese takeaway food in town. Excellent service with only a small waiting time. Welcome back an keep up the good work.
