Rice and Spice in Newham

I ordered a takeaway from here today for my parents and me. I ordered directly from the restaurant; the guy on the phone didn’t even sound like he wanted my custom. The food seemed to take forever to arrive. Every time we order from this restaurant the delivery driver must do wheelies as the food is always spilt. When the food eventually arrived, it was lukewarm. The naans were tough, and the bhajis were hard. And to rub salt in the wound, it turns out it would have been cheaper to have ordered it through Just Eat; so much for ordering direct! I’ve given this place the benefit of the doubt too many times and won’t be ordering from here again.

My fiancé and I ordered a takeaway from rice and spice on bank holiday Monday as a treat as we had been working. Wow choosing this restaurant was the worst mistake ever, the food arrived and when we started to eat it we were so disappointed, the onion bhajis were not only dripping with oil but were rock solid, our mains which was a chicken shashlick a balti and rice were tasteless and no real flavour except grease and oil and the breads were dry and hard. We didn’t eat much of this meal, but enough to make us both ill, my fiancé was sick that evening consistently and I was sick throughout the night and most of the next day and even had to miss a day at work, So please do not buy from here unless you like disgusting food, this was our 1st and last time ever using this place, waste of money and ill too. There are plenty of others to choose from in the area.

What can I say, top notch food and plenty of it. Place order via the website and paid for it at the same time, very handy. Online timer lets you know how long your food will be, very quick for collection. All the staff were friendly on collection and got a very nice bag to boot. Will use again, thanks for the nice food.

Ordered a meal for delivery at 6.20 was informed delivery would be 7.25 it actually arrived at 8.25, Two hours and five minutes after making the order. I do not say this likely but the food was terrible, my wife's tikka masala was nothing like it should be as we have ordered before. My meal was as bad and completely dry moistened only by oil in the container. Furthermore the containers were about half full again not like previously. I will never return,

First time using this take-away -3 different starters, 4 different curries plus rice and naan breads. Honestly say the best Indian meal I've had in Welling. Deffo ber a returning customer

Good Indian food with prompt delivery service. I recommend Parata, Chole, Chicken garlic chilli masala and Onion Bhaji

Got a delivery from here the other night and it came within the 30-45 minutes they said it would the food was lovely and hot and was the best curry I have had in a while.
